My experience was fabulous soup to nuts! Traffic getting there that day was heavy, so I called and Amy, at the front desk assured me that they would make it work! Great news since I was driving 40 minutes to get there (I live in the country). I walk in and Tim, who was on his way to help a customer with glasses, welcomed me. Mark and a technician he was training brought me into a room and assessed me with common tests and instruments. So far so good! Then Dr. Kemp came in to finish up the appt. Very professional and knowledgeable and with a healthy sense of humor to boot! Gave me the complete run down as to what he recommended now, what I could expect later on and why. On to the dreaded process of picking out frames, right?! Nope! Most pleasant experience ever! Jen was spot on, friendly and with a healthy sense of humor as well. When I first moved to CT, 21 years ago, is when I became a patient of Dr. Kemp. I jokingly say, but am very serious, when he retires is when I will find a new doctor. Just moved to Weha...decided to try Dr. Kemp because I heard he was good. Ive never left a review for a doctor, but the experience exceeded my expectations. I was honestly surprised at how thorough his exam was. He did things that my other doctor never did, like check my tear ducts. He took his time and didnt rush me out like some other doctors do. Environment was clean, organized. All of the staff are respectful, approachable, and helpful. Dr. Kemp is knowlegeable, explains things well, and approachable as well. Tim, the person on the floor who helps you with your glasses, was great as well and in fact adjusted the glasses that I was wearing that day as they keep slipping down my nose. They are open late on Thursdays and open during Saturdays also, which is great if you commute far from work, you can actually make it back in time for an appt.

I give them two stars, Only because, They tried to rip me off. After my eye exam, The guy told me my glasses would be one price, When I go to purchase them, Theyre a higher price. So therefore, Theyll get low ratings from me

A few years back, our insurance had changed and at the time…Dr. Kemp’s office wasn’t accepting that type of insurance. We made the decision to go to another eye doctor that was accepting our insurance. Big, big mistake. We received mediocre service, a horrible selection of eyewear and a general feeling that this well-known Doctor’s office did not care. They just had a revolving door of patients and I was just one of many. I dealt with this awful service for 3 years. When my husband called and found out that Dr. Kemp did in fact accept our insurance, I was so relieved. My first appointment back was like coming home. And guess what? Dr. Kemp recognized me.
