DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my car in because I had a flat tire. When I went to pick it up, all of a sudden my brake fluid and oil were leaking but they “couldn’t find the source of the leak”….my car was running fine and I just needed a new tire. This place is dishonest and not only that, they let me leave with a car totally unsafe to drive. Absolutely disgusting, they should be shut down!

Told me they had no one to just tell me if I needed oil or not and said it would be an hour and a half wait and a $50 charge just to answer a question. Won’t be back. Don’t be open if you can’t help people with simple service requests.

So, I was in a rush brake change, this place gave me a really quick response and a cheaper price than other places that I recevied the quote from. HOWEVER, they turned my brakes into spongy breaks, my cars break response time dropped. When I tried to explain this to them, they rejected it, argued with me a ton and do whatever they can to not take the car back. They even did not responded my last email.... Simply they are irresponsible of their actions and does not care about the customer satisfaction. + not kind people. As a result I ended up payin $900 plus their inspection fee and getting spongy breaks! If you are reading this comment go to somewhere else pay a $100 more and be happy. And thank me later.

I like going to Monro Mufflers in West Haven. They are very accommodating and love making an appointment over the phone. They get my car in and out in a timely manner. Miguel is very professional and nice. They give recommendations and quotes without making you feel forced to get work done on your car.

DO NOT COME HERE. spend thousands fixing my car here, the same issue will re-appear very soon within weeks with barely couple hundred miles. Attitude of the guys were chill at first, but then when I mention to them that my problem came back up when I just spend so much money fixing it, their attitude changes 180 and not responsible for the job they did that breaks within couple weeks.

I came in for service for the first time and was very glad that I did! I was treated respectfully and professionally; never did I feel that I was being taken advantage of. The mechanics are trustworthy and do an excellent job! Thank you so much, I am extremely happy with the service that I received!

They charged me $225 for $109 car battery. They charged me $67.50 for 10 minutes work. The last car battery I bought from them (same one) was $139. They are price gouging.

When I arrived I was quickly greeted in a friendly manner by the manager. He and his staff are pleasant and courteous and always ready to answer questions. When the work was completed, in a timely manner, the manager reviewed the invoice with me explaining all that was done. Although this is my first review, it is not my first visit nor will it be my last. I do and will always recommend this A1 facility for any and all auto needs. KUDOS to your wonderful manager, Miguel and his staff. I should have mentioned that I live approx 15 miles away but was referred to this facility by a dear friend.

I went there today (08/01/2020)and was Very disappointed. Poor customer service, I’d like to rate it ZERO. I had an appointment to do the oil change, and received the email confirmation, but when I went, they said nobody is available at the moment. I left and later afternoon received another rescheduling email, told me that they rescheduled the service on 7/7/2020!! Note that Today is August 2020 already! They make plenty of mistakes, how can I possibly trust them to taking care of my vehicle. Never go back there for sure.

Needed some work done on my car. Came and saw Miguel after speaking to him on the phone. Normally I work on my own car but Miguel was very knowledgeable and gave me a price I could not say no to. I don’t trust a lot of garages to work on my car and be honest about what needs to be done. Miguel changed that. His crew was even great when it came to the time to get it done. Couldn’t be happier with the the costumer service and the service from his crew. Will be back for more future work. Thanks to all at West Haven Monro!!!!!!

My girlfriend stopped in last night and I wasnt able to be there but she called me on the phone. The manager Miguel was extremely helpful, respectful and really cared about the safety of my girlfriends vehicle. The job was done correctly and they went above and beyond. We will definitely be back and he earned customers for life.

Miguel the manager is a very personable, straightforward, and patient professional. Him and his team took care of my car in a timely manner. The true professionalism came through when he was faced with a billing issue from a 3rd party company that he was unfamiliar with delayed payment. He was persistent in holding them accountable for what was promised. After several hours he was successful and not once did he lose his cool nor his level of competence declined to provide superb customer service. I will be returning if I or my family have an issue with our vehicles. Keep up the good work guys.

I initially gave this place only a couple of stars for to an experience I had with one mechanic not performing the service to satisfaction. The aliment was not done correctly on my car.But when I can back I got a different mechanic Randy. Who with no hassle took my car in right away and was able to resolve my issue.Anyone can have a bad day or slip up. Stuff happens.But I really appreciated the way Randy handled the situation made me feel respected and even stayed late to finish the job.Because of a mechanic like Randys worth ethic I would come back.

My experience at Monro is always a pleasant one, the manager is professional, I never feel like Im being gauged in the pricing when it comes to the repairs i need for my car. I dont hesitate to take my car to this Monro if i have any issues with my car. I recommend anyone looking for a good car repair shop to give them a try.

Good service but they charge for everything even just a check up

Today 3/18/2019 I went to Monro in West Haven Ct for an oil change on our 2007 Nissan Murano and after driving 41 miles we noticed a burning oil smell,I looked under the hood and saw that I had oil sprayed all over the place...I then looked down at the dip stick and noticed that it was sticking out about half way,hence all the oil spray and burning oil smell...well I left it exactly as I saw it and drove to Monro to complain about the smell...I did not tell the manager Miguel about the dip stick,because I wanted to see how honest he would be with me...so he takes the car into 1 of the bays then comes back and tells me I have a Bad Valve cover gasket leak and that is where the oil came from...he said that he checked everything and that everything was nice and tight...he took me into the bay to show me,and I looked down at the dip stick right away,and guess what?...he had already placed the dip stick properly and just lied to my face...instead of just admitting the screw up and owning it.He cleaned up the oil mess and told me my oil was fine,now keep in mind I drove 41 miles with that dip stick half way out...so how is my oil fine...I find that it was very dishonest and deceiving the way he handled the situation and therefor after nearly 2 years of bringing our cars there we cant bring our vehicles there anymore,everyone should exercise caution when dealing with this place.

I went in for an oil change with the coupon for 19.99 and ended up paying about $50. I understood the charge for the extra quart of oil but I didnt request any additional services. I contacted the corporate office and was issued a rip-off refund. When ppl are so desperate that they have to rip you off they dont deserve your business. I now go somewhere else where theres respect and honesty.

This place sucks Spanish guy not so friendly got there at 5:45 the sign on door states it closes at 7. I went there earlier in the day and the Spanish guy maybe Miguel in other reviews told me it would take 30 min to do brakes. I was in the lobby waiting for 15 min and they never pulled my car in. I told them I will be back because I had an appointment and I was told by another gentleman that we are here until 7. Well again I came back at 5:45 and he tell me he can’t work on my car today. Don’t bring your car to this location the Spanish guy has no customer service skills what’s so ever. He’s dried and not to friendly. I would never give them the opportunity to even pop my hood. Spent over 1000.00 on repairs for my car, all my lights came back on as I left and got the work that they did checked at the dealership to find out the work that they said they did and I paid for was never actually done, already contacted corperate and am going to the better bussiness bureau. Came in for a oil change it was super quick... also had a few questions about a few things about my car and they were glad to help told me I did for sure have a coolant leak and showed me were it was coming from was super nice all round will definitely be coming back for anything else

Spent hundreds close to thousand on the a.c refilling and brakes. Only after a week of service the a.c doesnt work, sends out hot air after two uses and the brakes feels loose again in couple days. Supposely said theyre life guarentee covered for one time charge fee, I went back to discuss they said theyll examine again and discuss the fee. Makes no sense and definitely wasted the money to get nothing fixed.

This review used to be a 5 star from me... but after today.. had to drop it to a 1.These guys charged me over 700 dollars for new tires but because I didnt opt into the additional fee they wouldnt help me without more money the VERY NEXT DAY when the tire deflated due to a gash that they found on the inner wall. The very shady thing is we pointed out that the tire had an issue. The manager claimed to have replaced the tire however I feel he may have simply flipped it. NOT only is this very misleading and money hungry but very dangerous.From now Ill be taking my cars elsewhere. TheTown fair close by did somthing similar to this and im now starting to think its a common practice in the area.

Extremely Horrible experience. My car was making some sound from the wheels so went there to check out the reason and they said it’s brakes that are bad. So I told them to replace, they did and still it’s making the same sound. Would not recommend anyone to go there.

Serves was great and the manager was really nice and kind.

Called at 8am to schedule a 530 appointment for brakes. I got there on time and they have one guy looking at a van and another on the phone in the garage. I figure business so I wait. Another person with an appointment shows up about five minutes later. The guy on the phone hangs up, pulls out a smoke, and takes a walk. After fifteen minutes of standing around I just left.

Poor customer service. If I could rate it a zero I would.

Horrible, Tried to charge me for extra parts I didnt need, I went in specifically for OPSU on my 03 350z and was told it would be 153 dollars when you can get the part for 50-80 anywhere you look ...This was ofcourse after he quoted me the right price of 80 on the phone and let me bring my car in ...They also said the part would be there in the morning ... needless to say It was not there also ...THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE SCAM!I wouldnt bring 86 Civic with 250k to them! Let alone my Z ... YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

This place is a big rip off. I walked into the service area to get my a/c fixed a guy talked to me about the problem fixed it charged 200 gave me a receipt for the parts and labor and when the a/c wasnt working next day i took it back there. They said the person who fixed it never worked there and was just a friend of one of the men who worked there. So they have no responsibility for that. Why would they let him work in their garage if he doesnt work there. This is abig scam place

First time coming here Miguel got me in right away, very friendly and the new mechanic Luke did a good job and gave me the keys back with my car exactly how I left it still clean!!!

We went for a oil change March 28-2019. the guy in the front was very rude and unprofessional, lock of knowledge, not friendly, They advertise oil change for 14.99$. But the fees are very high, an older guy walked in and he yell at the old man “we are booked for the day” and clearly the place was empty. Never coming back again

Be careful the 1999 oil change wasnt really 1999 there was an environmental disposal fee a shop fee and my car needed an extra quart of oil so it was $33
