I ordered a big truckload from this company. I was surprised to find out when I called that that the six thousand references of free shipping on their website are for the bag itself, not for large truckloads. But the prices you see on the site are for the truckload, not the bag. So, if you are trying to compare apples to apples on price the website will certainly mislead you. That should’ve been my signal but I went ahead and ordered anyway. When spreading the gravel into my yard I noticed that the top of the pile was clean, the middle was mixed with dirt about 60/40, and the bottom was relatively clean at about 80/20. It was very frustrating but I didn’t feel that there was much to do at that point- I had already paid and spread at least three cubic yards at that point. What made me write this review now, a few months later, is that my gravel is covered with weeds! The weeds aren’t coming from under the weed block fabric I laid but from the soil in between the gravel. So much junk in between the rocks grew actual weeds, and my hours of prep in adding weed covers and getting the sites ready for gravel felt like waste. I felt like this is worth sharing to hold this company accountable and to stop others from running into the same mistake I made- it’s not worth it. All this work and money were intended to save me from weeding. So many other companies in the valley have less expensive prices for a much cleaner product.

Extremely quick delivery, very fairly priced, and made an effort to drop the delivery where I needed it. Actually put it where I asked compared to competitors that would only leave it in the driveway, saving me precious time. Will definitely be using them next time!!!

The Dirtbag is overpriced and their staff is very slow and act as if they are annoyed that you are their customers I would prefer greatly that anyone else go to landscape of Utah where their two yards at $104 equals 3 yd from the Dirtbag at 154

I received my first order just a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier. As a first time customer, I called ahead to inquire about cost and delivery schedule and they were very helpful and informative. When it came to the order, I had the same experience. My order was delivered quickly and on time. The delivery driver called ahead for specific instructions on the drop off location. The garden soil was dropped off exactly as instructed and once again, I couldn’t be happier with the product and the customer service. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Ive ordered mulch from this company under the assumption that theyd deliver on a bag as advertised. What a surprise!Contacted the company and spoke with the General Manager to inquire why they just dumped in the middle of the street in front of my house. TThe company denied of any wrongdoing and stated that mulch was delivered as requested. Refused to correct their error and was pretty dismissive.

Great service and value. Delivered the next day after purchasing. Using the forklift the dirt bag was placed over a fence directly where I needed it. When we were done with the bag we simply recycled it, and didnt need to drop it back off or schedule a pickup for it.

This company is awesome! They were flexible with a delivery date of top soil for me, and they were professional in every aspects of payment to delivery. I’m very impressed with every employee I encountered. I’d definitely recommend them and I’d purchase from The Dirt Bag again.

Ive ordered three loads of dirt/compost/mulch from these folks and they are always excellent! Super fast delivery even in the busy season and clear communicators. I appreciate that they dont waste your time, and also that they were willing to back their dump truck down our long driveway to make our project easier. Good quality compost and topsoil does not have clay or rocks.

My first visit was great I was asked for my payment info while still in my truck then they loaded my trailer and I leftMy second visit was a cluster from the minute I arrived. As I pulled in the loading area I was evidently in the way of the owner in his dump truck so I hurried and pulled to the rear lot to clear the way because of his motions to me about why I was in his f...way???Well pardon me mister boss, I am in your way because there is no signage to direct your CUSTOMERS to a specific loading spot and I only used your back lot to clear the way and was later told that lot was not for customer use, well maybe another sign is needed there too!I would not buy from them again just because of the rude manners this guy showed me.

Used this company before. Had very good experience. This year was terrible. When ordered was told 2 weeks to deliver. Called at week and 1/2 and was told another week and a day to expect. Called that day to see what time to expect delivery and was told several more days wait. Finally cancelled order. But they have had my money since initial order. Buyer beware

My fault for not planning ahead this year. Ive ordered with great success in the past and have always been happy with the service and product. If youre ordering here and need a bulk delivery, make sure you plan out over a week in advance. Its too bad I cant place a bulk order online or I would have last week.

The dirt bag has great garden soil. I bought garden soil 2 months ago and we now have tons of worms and things are growing very well. Very healthy soil!!

I order 3 cubic yards of garden soil and was surprised to receive very expensive composted wood chips with equal parts some soil. Their garden soil was excellent when I ordered it in 2018. I am in the process of attempting to resolve this with The Dirt Bag. By tomorrow, I will dispute with my credit card company. Increased demand for Dirt Bags product during Covid-19 pandemic does not justify this rapid decline in quality and integrity. I will delete this post if I am able to successfully resolve this matter.

I flaked out and and didn’t answer the door when Kim rang the bell to find out where to leave our bag so it ended up getting left in the wrong spot. Even though it was our fault he came back and moved it for us no problem. Excellent customer service and quality product!

They do not offer sod! Even though their website told all about the amazing grass they offer. I drove 45 min. to pick up and they said they don’t really carry sod anymore. 😡

Quality, price, and service are excellent. I took soil samples in zip lock bags from 3 competitors and Dirt Bag won for price and quality. If you find your way to their office and yard, Kim will locate your home on Google Earth and you can show her exactly where you want your delivery to be made. They come as close as driveway or street will allow but I had a specific place near curb and thats where my garden soil mix will go. Perfect!

TheDirtBag should actually be called TheGravelBag. I was delivered a DirtBag but found that the dirt was full of gravel. Further, when I called to return the bag, I was told it could not be picked up for one week. That means a 2,000 lb bag of dirt is blocking my driveway for one week. Kim, the owner of TheDirtBag, called me irrational when I told her it was unacceptable for her to leave her bag blocking my driveway for one week. Buyer beware of TheDirtBag products and zero customer service. I was forced to offer at least one star but TheDirtBag deserves no stars at all.

First time customer. I ordered the bagged mulch online; the entire process was smooth like butter! The bag was delivered in the exact spot I specified in the order comments. I could not be happier with the service and product. Having the mulch delivered saved me 2-3 trips to the local garden center and my car’s cargo area stayed tidy! I am a customer for life!!

I am loving the Garden Soil Plus that I purchase from The Dirt Bag. I have purchased this product from them 2 years in a row and it is wonderful! Their delivery drivers are so skilled with that forklift I dont know how they do it! They drop it on the exact spot that I mark on the driveway. Product is very good, but customer service is horrible. They called day before delivery to say rock would be delivered between 8-10 next morning. Called at 11 said would be delivered before 2. Asked why no one called with change said was going to but couldn’t connect with driver. Called at 2:45 to see where rock was no answer, left message still no rock.

Great products but the restricted space available for pickup can make getting loaded challenging.

We purchased about 2700 square feet of sod from The Dirtbag Company last month. I was hesitant at first but decided I did not want to try seeding from start because of the time it would take to get a decent lawn. Their prices were very competitive and I was assured the quality was lush and the best I could get. I was not disappointed the sod was very nice and after three weeks I mowed my lawn for the first time. It is nice and thick, the perfect shade of dark green, no weeds in it, and I am pretty happy to have gone with their sod. Thanks Dirtbag.

I placed an order and was charged for the merchandise. I waited 3 weeks and I was given excuses every time I enquired as to when I was going to get my order. I called 5/12/20 I was told its on the truck for tomorrow, I called 5/13/20 I was told its on the truck for tomorrow, I called 5/14/20 I was told its on the truck for tomorrow. I work full time and do not have time to wait for 3 weeks of poor excuses. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

The product is very good, but customer service is marginal at best. They rarely answer the phone and are not open when they advertise to be. We called and told them we wanted to come by and get a bag of dirt. 15 minutes later when arriving, the gates are locked up tight and no one answers the phone.There are enough other places that deliver, I would recommend these guys as a last resort, if you can get hold of them.

Ordered weeks ago, got a confirmation email with my paid invoice but no delivery date. I called after the 14 day delivery window and was told I would have my dirt the following Friday, today. I called this afternoon and was told I wasnt even on a schedule and they would call me back when a manager set next weeks schedule. Dont buy dirt from these guys if you want to plant spring veggies in it.

Definitely recommend. I ordered two bags of topsoil. They delivered on time and the topsoil was good quality, screened well with little-to-no rocks. The bags are easy to shovel out of and convenient. I would use them again.

We have ordered this product and it is very good soil. It is dark, rich, and a pleasure to work with. We used it in our garden boxes and the garden produced the best plants we have ever had in this garden. We have tried to garden in these boxes for 3-4 years, the first few years I was disappointed with our results from the boxes and I wondered if garden boxes were a good idea because the plants did not flourish in them. Last year we tried this soil and got much better results. This is good stuff, it really worked for me.

I have several flower beds that were full of clay (we live in South Jordan). I have bought a bag of Garden Soil Plus from The Dirt Bag and mixed it in with the existing soil. My flower beds and garden now have very little clay are beautiful and very easy to work in. LOVE THE DIRT BAG PRODUCTS!

I placed an order online, and they did not give me a date range for delivery. When I called in, a week later, they said it would be at least 14 days. I would not have placed the order if I knew it would take that long. Poor service.

I ordered a bag for my mom a week ago and still have not received a email or phone call as to when the dirt will be delivered. The website said that they could deliver the same day or 3-4 business days. We have left message. Hopefully they will contact us soon.

Bought some garden soil from the dirt bag in early spring to replace some soil that was in a front yard flower garden at my house the soil looked good and I read the reviews and figured it might be a good place to get some good soil, so after digging about a foot of soil out of my old flower bed I bought 3 yards of garden soil and took it home to replace the soil that I had dug out ..now about eight weeks later I HAVE A GREAT CROP OF MORNING GLORY GROWING IN WITH MY FLOWERS....... WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE AGAIN......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paid for and was told Id receive my gravel on Wednesday. They didnt deliver and then closed for 4 days, leaving me in the lurch. I had tight timeframes so I built in a buffer but their lack of delivery and then unresponsiveness caused their bad performance to create problems for me.Would not do business with again.
