As an out of town visitor I was in need of eyeglass repair. I called this LensCrafters location and found them to be open on Memorial Day. I was greeted by Carol, explained the problem with my glasses. As I purchased them in upstate NY, I was not sure they could assist me. Carol looked at e broken nose piece and said she thought they wound be able to help. In a short time Cindy returned my glasses with new eyepieces installed and adjusted. Barbara was exellent. She was very patient in helping me find the right frames and explained the lens choices very well. Lenscrafter has a wide selection of frames so it can be a daunting task. Barbara took the stress out of it. Lenscrafter also has a great way of measuring your eyes for best lens fit so I feel confident of the quality.

Arrived at 3pm out by 3:20, got glasses and sunglasses . Aliyah was the young girl that helped me so friendly, helpful and not pushy at all . Also the store is super spread out for social distancing and I observed them wiping surfaces down and taking display glasses to be sterilized .

Great personalized service. Much better fit and and style than the ones I have gotten cheaper online and you can feel the quality is much better. I bring my frames in for fixing the fit anytime for free and the warranty means I can replace my lenses out for very cheap. With the great quality it costs more than the cheap online glasses but I find that it is worth it for me and I use the care credit card and get them interest free and pay them over time. I have gotten SO many compliments on the ones they helped me pick out. Staff is so knowledgeable and kind.

I normally don’t like to leave bad reviews but after the second bad experience I felt that it was necessary. I’ve been coming to this particular LensCrafter since the 90s. The last few times I’ve been to different locationS due to being in a different city.I don’t know what happened to all the friendly employees at this location. The last two times I’ve been there I have left disappointed. The first bad one was about 7 weeks ago. I was looking to purchase new glasses. The lady who attended me was upper middle age Caucasian woman (blonde I believe) I asked her if all the frames were the same in all locations because I didn’t see a great selection at this particular one. Usually there’s always great options. Well she kind of gave me attitude and even caught her talking to another employee about me because they were looking over at me. So I left, didn’t feel welcomed and felt uncomfortable.My second experience was today about an hour ago. I came back in hopes of getting my glasses fixed. The store manager (Hispanic man) was the one helping me. My first impression was that he wasn’t welcoming and friendly. He Informed me that he doesn’t think he could fix it because it would most likely snap (which I totally understood the risks) I responded “can’t you heat it up and manipulate it back in place?” he responded “and do what?” I responded the part that is bent. He responded well the metal would get too hot where I’d burn myself. We literally were going back and forth and he kept arguing with me in a not so professional matter. Just very VERY NEGATIVE . Where I was left with no hope. Now mind you, in the past I had a similar situation where the employee warned Me that it would snap if she tried fixing it. However she was positive and warm. And had a smile the whole time! I trusted her and gave her the go. And left very satisfied and grateful!But this time I had no choice but to walk out and left in tears. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service. Never going back to this location!

Dr. Tanke takes the time to explain in-depth about his diagnosis and answers questions in layman’s terms that we all can appreciate. I appreciate giving my eyecare business with Lens Crafters Melbourne Florida location. There are certainly other eye care centers who offer sustainably lower pricing for lenses and frames in all combinations and for that matter larger selections, but I choose quality of service over cost savings most anytime.

Dr. Cromer has a great bedside manner and was great with me and my 10 year old daughter! I would recommend her and her office assistant to anyone! They were very Covid aware as well, very clean and thorough. This office may be part of a corporation but they definitely have a locally owned and operated feel to them.

Poor customer service, rude staff, and they forget they are doctors with patients not in sales. The employees showed discrimination and didnt listen to concerns. They didnt even try to set up another appointment, just cancelled and nothing. Not even an Im sorry.
I got my glasses here two years ago. Last weekend I left them in the car in the sun and the frames melted. I came by to see if there was anything they could do. I thought it was a lost cause, but Abigail fixed them! They look nearly perfect. And she didn’t even charge me, even though my protection plan had expired. I’m so thrilled with the service and will definitely go back when it’s time for my next pair!
I have United Healthcare they claim they take it that they are in network and when I get there their doctors are independent. No health coverage insurance whatsoever from them

My experience at LensCrafters was exceptional.My salesperson was Barbara, (#532366).Being retired and on a fixed income, with no eye care insurance, Barbara went through all the options available to me, including current discounts, discount plans, AARP, AAA, and others. I chose AAA.I then chose a frame, and she then explained all the different types of lenses and their options that were available in my price range.We put a package together in to fit my budget and I should have my new glasses next week.Thanks Barbara, great job.Jerome

Great customer service. Easy to book appointments online without having to wait weeks. Got email, text and phone call reminder for it. Was able to make an appointment for my husband as well right after mine. Check in was easy. The staff were attentive and helpful, not nagging or annoying. Dr. Tanke was efficient, quick and thorough and still took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I got the correct prescription for both my glasses and contact lenses. Got the retina machine picture thing done instead of dilation and was able to see the inside of my eyes. They have modern equipment and used tablets. Got free trial pair of Acuvue Transition lenses and solution. Printed out copies of both my glasses and contact lens prescription which was clear to read and understand unlike some other opticians that scribble out prescriptions. Not sure why they have so many complaints on Google. I had a positive experience and would recommend. Husband thought it was a good experience for him as well and he can be quite picky about doctors.
After an appointment my wife was to, and after 2 years of no checkup. She definitely has trouble seeing clearly. She was told that her prescription has not changed, obviously a lie or the machine not working, but was told she had a issue with her eyes and to see one specialist in particular, hmmm, I see a kick back here. Dont step foot into this place ever.

I got an eye exam, ordered glasses, which totalled 659$, not counting the cost of the exam. I was told they would be ready when I returned from a work trip by Saturday. Its been a week and Im still waiting for the glasses. I called the store, now Im told it could be a week to 10 days, maybe more, since they are busy and back logged. So Ive got to wait for glasses because theyre too busy? Meanwhile, headache from eye strain continues.....where did they send the order to make the glasses? CHINA? I went to lensecrafters because my last pair of glasses were ready almost immediately. I travel for work and dont have time for slow or poor service. Update: still no glasses, I was told they are in process. I cancelled the order, they gave me a refund. I took the Rx to another eyeglass store in Melbourne, got 2 pairs for less money.

Ive been here several times and it seems to be getting worse each time. Lenses made incorrectly and really poor service. Most recently the person helping me for 15 minutes just disappeared into a back room after taking my order but not completing the sale. Bizarre.
Please do yourself a favor and avoid this location. In September 2016, I was erroneously charged and the staff was hostile and unprofessional. After speaking with the doctor who appears to manage or own this location, the billing was corrected and I was promised “exemplary” service during my next visit. I must also add, my glasses were never adjusted during this visit as no staff was available.Upon arrival to my appointment on October 29, 2018 I was met again with hostility. Immediately I was asked, “did she tell you no one is available for your contact fitting today and you will need to come back?” First, a male set my appointment, so I’m unaware of who “she” is. And being my appointment time was at 11:30am, how difficult would it have been to call me upon opening to tell me of the staffing issue?After requesting to speak with Dr. Tanke to remind him of his promise made for my next visit, he actually called me “kiddo” while denying he had ever made a promise. Clearly a review of my file would have disclosed the previous issues and refund. He went on to explain they still have “staffing issues”. Clearly this is a continuous problem passed on to the customer and I strongly recommend any potential customer avoid LensCrafters, specifically the New Haven facility in Melbourne, Florida and Dr. Tanke.
Beware: They no longer have an on site optical lab, so now it takes a week to get glasses when it used to take just hours. Believe it or not --- they get them from Atlanta now. So, good luck if you are out of glasses. But they still charge the same ridiculous fees.
Totally suck i went in the doctor was very nice but had to wait 2 and a half week for a trial pair of contacts THAT THEY NEVER CALLED ME i had to call them and be put on hold no sorry for the 10 minutes on hold or sorry that no one could do the damn job and call a customer about a very expensive purchase i was going to buy them their and spend at least $300 but ill buy them online i will never go there again go to the one on Merritt island the do a good job
Loved the doctors, loved the floorstaff, the receptionist left way more to be desired She was cold, rude, unfriendly, impatient. I walked in as the doors opened, knowing I didnt have an appointment, but also aware they take walk in. So naturally I bring my 2 teenage daughters right when they open in hopes to fit them in. I recieved rolling eyes and was told it may be a hours of we were seen at all and that I couldnt do a contacts visit because they didnt have time to do fitting (Mind you, no one was in the store but us)I asked if she could get the exam for contacts and come back for fitting at s later time She said no they couldnt do a fitting today. I said maybe I was confused and asked if the exam and fitting were the same and could you do one more and the other later, that I could schedule an appt to come back. She literally stopped talking to me and stared at me and shook her head silently and started to turn away!! The Dr was beside her and cut in said she they could do that no problem!!! Ugh... The doctor made us feel welcomed and taken care of, the floorstaff went above and beyond to help my other daughter find glasses. An hour and a half later we were out the door, 2 exams, a pair of glasses ordered, and an appt to come back later that afternoon for a fitting for the contacts. No thanks to the miserable looking receptionist, as the Dr set the appt up for us!! The receptionist is usually the first real interaction you have, might want to find someone who makes you feel welcomed- to be that person.
Needed contacts to play pool/billiards. Glasses didnt work for me. Jan 2018 went to Lens crafters was excited because they offer digital eye exam (no dialation required) got exam was given trial contacts (i only wear them to play pool) made another appt to go back and have them checked and update doc on contacts...doc decides to change them so went home with new trials she says let me know if u like them and we will order them for you...so a wk or 2 later i called to hv them order them then the guy says I need to see the dr...(what for!?!) So i book an appt that day drove all the way up there just to be given another set of trials and NEVER SAW THE DR!! WHY U CHANGIN MY SCRIPT WITHOUT EVEN SEEING DR MAKES NO SENSE BUT WHATEVER i take new trials left and was told same thing if u like them let us know and we will order so 1 or 2 wks later i again call to tell them to tell them id like to order these so FINALLY the lady places an order for these contacts I ordered 90 days for the left eye 90 days for the right. This is in March of 2018 so we are now 2 mths into this process ! They chaged my credit card $144. I was leaving for a trip to PA to play in the super billiards expo and needed them b4 I left but the week b4 I left still no contacts so i called their office to tell them I havent gotten them yet and ask for a reciept for the $144 they charged my card she told me i could come pick up reciept and when i got there she told me my contacts were delivered that day. So i drove home to find a package at the door i open it and find ONE 30 DAY SUPPLY FOR THE LEFT EYE ONLY!! WHAT!?!? i call them to tell them and she explains for some reason they only ordered 90 days for the right eye but only 30 days for the left eye so they go ahead and order another 60 days for the left eye (how would i know $144 wasnt for 90 days for both eyes?) Still no right eye contacts as of yet and i have to fly to PA with trial contacts! So i come back from PA still no contacts! I called them to tell them and find out that the contacts I ordered are out and on back order but not one person called to ck on that till i called not one person called to follow up even tho its now april 4 mths after eye exam & still no contacts ! So they give me more trials and said the rep was looking into it and trying to find another contact company for me .....NO CALLS BACK!! MAY COMES AND GOES NOW JUNE STILL NO CONTACTS I CALL THEM FURIOUS SICK TIRED AND FRUSTRATED WHAT THE H... IS THE PROBLEM WITH THESE PEOPLE? I fly to Las Vegas for National July 12 i called 4 weeks b4 i fly to tell them they have 2 weeks to fix this or i would be getting a refund and ordering elsewhere so they give me more trials to last another couple weeks .... all of a sudden they are placing A NEW ORDER FOR DIFFERENT CONTACTS!! SO 14 DAYS B4 I FLY I CALL TO TELL THEM STILL HV NO CONTACTS THEY SAID THEY WERE ON THE WAY SO FINALLY 8 DAYS B4 MY FLIGHT 6 MTHS AFTER MY EYE EXAM I FINALLY GET 90 DAYS FOR MY RIGHT EYE WITH STILL NO ANSWER AS TO WHERE THE CONTACTS I ORDER ARE !!! IF YOU DONT MIND BEING JERKED AROUND LENS CRAFTERS IS YOUR PLACE IF YOU DONT MIND WAITING THEN YOU WILL LOVE THEM! IF YOU LIKE PAYING HARD EARNED MONEY FOR ITEMS YOU WILL NEVER GET THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR CALL THEM NOW!!! IF YOU DONT MIND BENDING OVER AND GETTIN IT FROM THE REAR THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE ! I SAW A POST THAT REFERRED TO THEM AS PROFESSIONAL .... I spent over $1000 for progressive which didn’t work for me so I took them back, ended up paying extra to get three pairs computer, distance, and bifocal. And all three prescriptions on the glasses suck. Still straining to see my book with the bifocal, the distance is not as good as it was the first time around, and I still struggle to see the computer I will never go back there again!

They only attend you 100% if you are buying expensive glasses. Been there twice always left waiting when i tell them which pair i want. Didnt end up buying anything cause of the waiting. Never going back to this location if i have to drive to orlando location i will
