How is this place still in business? This has got to be the worst auto repair shop in northern New Jersey!First of all the place is filthy. Try walking into the “office” and you’re greeted by a trash dump. They haven’t cleaned this place since they opened decades ago.Then you’re “greeted” by the older disgruntled guy that asks, “Can I help you?” And then proceeds to not help you by saying, “well you’ll have to talk to the mechanic.” Apparently this guy knows absolutely nothing and instructs you to go talk to the mechanic. So why do you ask if you can help me if everyone should just talk directly with the mechanic? You’re essentially useless. The other thing that he says is, “can I help you?….you’ll have to talk to the mechanic…..but he’s not here.” Ok well when will he be here? “He should be back in an hour or two.” So you do t want to narrow that down to something more precise?At this first point of contact it’s over. You’ve told me that this is not a place I need to give revenue to.I’ve gone here on two occasions because I lived right next door. Convenience overlooked just how rude and dispicable this repair shop is.For the record, the actual mechanic is fine. He’s knowledgeable and the prices are fair.The customer service however is horrendous. The old guy at the front desk should be fired. There’s no attempt to take my phone number and call me with follow up information. The attitude is we do t want you here.There’s a bunch of repair shops in the area. Take your business elsewhere. Apparently the owner sold this place to a developer and is waiting out his time until they can build condos in that lot. In the meantime they act as if they could care less. Take your business elsewhere. This place is horrendous.
