Love their new VE dishes on the menu!! All vegan...all delicious. I am so happy to have found a place with very flavorful vegan dishes, lots of places make vegan food thats just vegan, not much flavor. That is not the case !! Try their VE burger, OH MY GOD the mushroom patty is incredible!! You can tell they use very high quality products. Their springs rolls and tacos are also very yummy, and the Buddha bowl!! They will be opening a fully vegan restaurant next door very soon....CANT WAIT !!!

Subculture Coffee has done a very credible job designing the Clematis location to feel like a counter culture coffee shop. You feel like you could hang out and enjoy the coffee which is lost on many other coffee places. My cappuccino was artfully designed and the taste was decent. I appreciated the real coffee cups over wasteful plastic. Subculture offers free WiFi and some delicious looking pastries which make this a great place to visit in West Palm.

If you have coffee needs like myself, and are in the WPB downtown area, then subculture coffee is a must stop. They roast their own beans on site and have a nice selection of drinks and pastries. I have had their hot drip, but today went with the Coldbrew 1. I was very happy with my selection, was delicious and refreshing, not exceptionally strong. This atmosphere is inviting with a good amount of seating and good music playing in the background. Of course, the service was outstanding. Come and support your local businesses.

Neat, grunge style space. Great product! Prices are actually good for the area. Pastries are suburb quality. Okay service. Great mix of inside and outside seating. Thankful for craft coffee and local brands. Kombucha on tap.

We ordered 2 hot chocolates. You can tell they were made using either powder or artificial syrup by how sweet they were. Though we both ordered the same thing, the hot chocolate they gave the person I was with tasted different that mine. It was even more artificial and sweet.....

Great green smoothie to pick you up In the morning the only thing that was off was the acai bowl that they served was rock solid! Like you aint going to eat the bowl after 45 minutes till it thaws off, that was a 1st for me.

Great place to meet and have coffee and a quick bit. They used to do the tacos and hip hop that I loved but they no longer do this.. I recently had avocado toast. Though it was really good. The avocado should have been mashed up and then put on the the toast. This made for it to be very messy trying to eat this. I love the cappuccinos too.

Believe it or not this place has the best vegan options the area! Apparently they are about to open a vegan restaurant next door named ‘Ve (very je ne sais quios) and have already launched the menu in the coffee shop.It’s soooo refreshing and the dishes are quite diverse they even have couscous on the menu! Definitely go for the coffee and the atmosphere but don’t over look the food. All of the items that are from the upcoming restaurant have ‘Ve next to the name on the menu.Overall 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice coffee spot, something authentic and perfect for what coffee lovers. They roast their own coffee there and have pastries available for purchase. It is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the cup of coffee of your choice, as we don’t usually take enough time to sit down and take it all in. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place, cheers to the designers!

I really liked the atmosphere. The guy who took my order was very polite. They don’t know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino, and did not listen to my instructions. I asked for coconut milk mixed with a little half&half because that combination makes for some great froth. My coffee was made with all half&half. After being asked how my coffee was, I let them know the flavor was amazing however, it’s not a cappuccino, it’s a latte. The person who made my coffee started to explain to me what a cappuccino is as if I don’t know the difference and it just really annoyed me because I know the difference and that wasn’t it. Any who, one very milky cappuccino later and almost $7 poorer, I now have a stomach full of gas bubbles. 🙃

Subculture is everything I could ask for in a coffee shop. Their beans are freshly roasted and amazing quality and the staff is friendly and professional. Usually when I order french presses the water is boiled too hot and it burns off the flavor notes in the beans, this was not the case at subculture. Couldnt say enough good things about this place!!

Came from out of state and have this coffee shop a chance and I miss it so much! The cold brew was amazing with the coconut oatmeal cookie in the morning. The workers were setting up the banners outside and it began to ran so we sat together in an open tent they have and it was just a wholesome moment! Cant wait to have another cup soon!

I am from out of state, but I make it a point to stop in at Subculture every time I am in West Palm and want top notch espresso. They never disappoint. This past visit was an Oat Milk Latte. You taste the attention they put into roasting, along with preparing shots. Come see how real coffee tastes!

Great coffee shop that roasts their own beans and has some creative menu items. They have plenty of tables for sitting and doing work and they have tables outside as well. I got one of their smoothies which was a little bit too smooth, but certainly was tasty. I was pretty excited to see that outside in the alleyway there was a mural painted by Kobra of Albert Einstein. It seems like a lot of college students study there but also some young professionals.

One of the best Third Wave Coffee shops in Florida with three great locations, but Clematis is our favorite. Vibe is a superb both inside and out, with old time bar like feel inside and modern art outside. The care for details like chalk board tables and chalk are found all around the shop. Coffee is roasted in house and always on point. Americano, Latte and Hot Chocolates are our go to drinks and always on point. If the owner, Sean, is around definitely take a moment and strike up a conversation. He’s one of the few coffee shop owners we’ve seen take so much interest in his patrons and community.

Breakfast Review - Not a great breakfast option unless you want pastries and coffeeThe Ghost has been there only a couple of times, and so this is a tentative review. If you are looking for a cup of Joe and something quick this could be an option for you. TG rates Subculture as a C an average rating. Subculture is your local Starbucks type coffee shop with a San Francisco feel. It attracts a younger would be hip crowd for a cup of coffee, to meet friends, or pound out a couple of Emails.Subculture is located on historic Clematis Street in Downtown West Palm Beach just west of Quadrille Blvd (Route 1) and very close to the new Brightline West Palm Beach train station (at the time of this review - the path to the Brightline was obstructed, but should be fixed shortly). Street parking is metered and limited, but there is a public garage next door (for a fee). It is also located on West Palm Beachs free trolley line.Subculture is busy in the morning (like most coffee shops), and there usually is a short line at the counter. There is no table service. The menu is limited to mostly pastries and cereals. There are only a couple hot breakfasts, and breakfast sandwiches are pre-prepared and are similar to Starbucks in quality. There is some outdoor seating on Clematis Street. The dining area is large for a coffee shop and flexible so you can accommodate a larger group with a little effort. The restaurant is clean urban-rustic (a bit dark) with a nice tin ceiling. It is a causal place. It is a bit noisy, as the floor is hard surfaced and there is no noise damping. There was music playing softly in the background but was difficult to hear over the conversations. It is definitely more of a locals place rather than a tourist place.The Ghost tied the Egg and Cheese (baked) sandwich with was mediocre (a bit cold in the middle). TG prefers eggs scrambled, but as they are prepared the sandwiches ahead of time, changes are not possible. TG noticed that the egg sandwiches were stored on a counter unrefrigerated (which for was a bit concerning). TG saw some breakfast empanadas that looked good and might try in the future. There are no daily breakfast specials. Oddly there are two separate counters far apart: one for food, the other for beverages. A bit strange and not particularly convenient.Service is what you expect in a coffee shop - functional indifference.The facilities are so-so a bit urban (Spartan with graffiti - some by the staff). Subculture also offer lunch (please note this is NOT a review for lunch - which will be included in a separate future review).The coffee is OK more like Starbucks (a little bitter for the Ghost).

Let me start with the good. Our group of 4 came here late night for some coffee. The atmosphere, coffee and service were great. We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to return for breakfast the next morning.That’s where I wish I never stepped foot in this place. Horrible, horrible service with an entitled attitude. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and waited 27 MINUTES for a tiny little sandwich on an even smaller plate that fell apart the second you touched it. On top of that, the hostess passed by us at least 3 times to serve those that came after us, even though we kept asking where our food was. The muffin was alright, but just as much of a mess. The coffee tasted sour.Bottom line, would maybe return for late night if no other place served coffee. Never again for any other reason.

In from Austin, TX aka home of some of the coolest coffee shops. Subculture could easily be dropped in the middle of Austin and fit right in. Love the coffee, vibe & comfort of this place. Was also great that they close so late for us night owls 🤟🏼

My favorite place for high quality coffee escp. Espresso. The decor is really fun (old and bulky coffee grinder / roasting on site which makes creates that unique pervasive scent that I personally love.The big plus for me is the story booth: Print a 3 or 5 min story and let it take you to a different world.

Generally speaking I like their drinks, food, etc. The employees are nice. The space is clean and comfortable. But one pretty major complaint for a coffee shop: their WiFi is terrible. Theres so many instances I would love to go work here (and buy more from them in the process!) but end up going elsewhere because I cant count on my computer or phone being able to connect to their slow, spotty WiFi. WiFi is pretty fundamental to any coffee shop, thats why even though I actually like Subculture, I have to score it like this. If they fix their WiFi I will rate them much higher.

Had their hot chai latte and a sandwich first time I went there. It was very delicious and love the atmosphere and decor. The chai latte is way too sugary when I got it cold though. My mom is a latte obsessed person and loves this place as well.

It’s very disappointing when a coffee shop can’t get their coffee to taste right. We got ice coffees and both me and my bf agreed it tasted sour. So it’s not like I have strange taste buds. I like regular rich diner coffee so I don’t consider myself as a person who likes strange tasting coffees. It was so disgusting we couldn’t take another sip. What’s wrong with this coffee? Is it too old? Maybe it is but I’ve never was given an old coffee anywhere so I wouldn’t know what that tastes like.I don’t understand. The coffee shop has such a nice vibe inside and out, I mean I would possibly come for that but not their coffee. Plus the barista was asked to add cream to it and she literally gave us such a tiny splash the coffee was still black. Waste of money as two coffees were close to $7 with tax.
