Came here on a whim based off 2 things: Customer service from the phone call and the fact they had the Benchmade knives in stock. Was helped by John, who made the experience there pretty awesome. He took his time and answered all my questions. Would highly suggest this spot for any enthusiast of firearms. I’ll definitely be back to peruse and shop. Keep up the good work y’all! Customer service is [okay]. Just dont like that fact that everything is overpriced. Took a class with them. Thought I would pay for the class and be done, but then they gave me a surprise ammo charge. I didnt like that. Spent $100+ for an hr class.And speaking of ammo, I went to buy some from them. $40+ for 20 defensive rounds over there. Went to Gator Guns Archery, got $10 less.I felt like they took me for a ride because I wasnt knowledgeable.

Ordered parts on there online site for pick up. A lower parts kit they had in stock. A week and two emails later I decided to call. I was transferred to a woman who admitted she knew about my emails and didn’t get back to me. When I asked for a refund, she told me to never come back to her store! Very rude and disrespectful because she didn’t want to do her job!

Any time I have been in this store, the experience has always been great. Hands down one of the best if not the best gun stores in south Florida. Their customer service is great. Very knowledgeable in the firearms they sell as well give you their professional opinion on which firearm is better for different situations. Their prices may be a little higher that other stores but that’s what happens when you shop from small local businesses. The extra costs go towards their professionalism.

Over the last couple of months Ive had such great experiences there. The staff are nice, knowledgeable, and never try to upsell you. Candice has helped me out numerous of times both acquiring a weapon and recommending a holster and defense ammunition. Ive also had a private lesson with Mike who literally changed my way of thinking about shooting in less than an hour. I look forward to improving my speed and marksmanship with future lessons and know I can count on the staff to point me in the right direction. Thank you guys and gals.

Its a shame . The only good thing there was the instructor of the classes....but that might have also been because they were selling me a 600 gun. Once I bought the gun, I went to pick it up and I asked for help so I can get everything else needed goggles, earmuffs, safety box, etc. I felt rushed all the way through. My friend who had also taken the course with me came also to buy a gun and she didnt even want to do business with them just because she got upset at the customer service being rendered. Spoke to the manager about it he said they are really busy selling. Weeeellll thats what I was there for. Got my gun and will never go back. Buying everything else somewhere else. After spending a total of over 900 dollars between one on one class, concealed class, and gun, I think asking for 10 to 15 min of your time to walk me through the extras of what I need is the minimum. Not to mention its the responsible safe thing to do. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.UPDATE:Same day I went to Gun World of South Florida. They were just as busy yet they were able to sell me all the things I needed while explaining what they recommended and why. This included goggles, earmuffs, rounds, home safe, car safe, carry holster, scheduled a class, practiced in the range. How busy a store is should not reflect their service. If you are busy, then say something to the effect of give me 10-15 min so I can help you with what you need . Not say can I help you and then when I express I need help getting the accessories you are not able to walk me through the buy. How is it not the time to ask questions of what you are buying?! Again, I really hope you take the feedback, but it seems you are more in defensive mode. 🤷‍♀️. You lost a loyal customer.

Terrible customer service. Spent $2k for an STI firearm. Brought it back because it wasnt feeding. Their staff fired it and experienced the same failure. After 2 months, their gunsmith could find anything wrong and charged my $77. Go to Shoot Straight!RE: If this $2K gun just needed to be broken in, why didnt you just say that when I brought it in?

I’m retired Marine Corps, and have been to every gun store/range in the West Palm Beach area, and I’ve never seen an active owner on the sales floor who is that customer centric!His employees are honest enough; it’s hard to be an expert in pistols, rifles and shotguns, and if they don’t know the answer, the will tell you so, and find an expert that does know everything about that weapon that you are asking about.I’ve seen gentlemen behind the counter spending tons of minutes with women or people new to gun ownership, and by these reviews—these people work very hard so that you can get the knowledge needed to safely use the weapon you purchase. My hats off to the owner Alexander and his crew. They blow away any gun store you walk into in Palm Beach County!

Excellent service, best prices around and friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is the only gun shop/training center I go to in Palm Beach County. The owner, Alex, is a gentleman and has successfully created a large inventory store with a “mom & pop shop” feel. Associate, Mike, is uber knowledgeable and actually knows what he’s talking about as he’s a pro competitive shooter and instructor. All the sales staff and on-sight gunsmith, Sid, are excellent, without the condescending attitude you get at other local retailers.

I was in the store for the first time and was greeted by an agitated employee at the register to stop to get my temp checked and then have my pic taken. He appeared to be annoyed because he had to stop what he was doing to tell me to do these things. I was checking out and his mood was not any better because he seemed annoyed to even do the transaction. I would have given a 1 star rating but the other employee that helped me was nice. Management needs to see that the employees are a direct reflection of their business. I highly doubt I will ever shop here again. I try to support small local businesses but ones like this make it hard to do.

Just for starters for tourists: This is not a regular gun range and is used for training so youll have to book a session. For the locals this shop has an excellent selection of just about anything you could want from basic personal protection all the way to the high end pistols and rifles. They will likely have something in stock to satisfy the sweet tooth of most gun enthusiasts. Accessories are great too and as a shooter and collector, Ive talked shop with some of the salespeople who know and love the sport. Great place to stop when in the area or looking to spend some coin on good stuff.

They are not the only option and with the type of response I walked into i feel that was 100% wrong. Nice work you lost someone that would have been a loyal customer.

Highly recommend! We have purchased most of the our firearms from Alex for over 4 years now. We also completed our conceled weapons course. His estabilshment is very professional and experienced. Great prices and over all the best in town.

Very rude and bad customer service. The owner and his son sat there and ate lunch out of Togo boxes on their own glass displays and did not help us, but waited for another employee to finish up before coming to help us. There is an older bald gentleman that is the very typical gun shop obstacle. Degraded me and my wife. The only person in the shop worth the time is a black spiked hair young gentleman and even he could not believe the treatment. Upon calling and speaking with the owner Alex, he stood by the behavior and quoted that they were only joking. This is how this shop treats disabled veterans, we were polite, never yelled, cussed or anything, we told him we wouldnt be back, and he did not care, which is the worst part. American legions, VFW, and VA, that is a lot of pools to shun away. Super sad, Shoot Straight, Gator, or anywhere else, even Lotus an hour away is a better choice.

I have only been shooting handguns for 3-5 months each winter in Florida since retiring 2 years ago. I have spent near $2000 in training lessons with 8 instructors at multiple facilities in the area. While I did learn basic gun safety advancing uphill to consistent performance has been unsuccessful. I was not getting the shooting mechanics consistently working properly, many foundations were lacking and I was not seeing improvement from training events. I shot a steel challenge after taking a training course on shooting those events and did poorly in multiple stages, basic gun marksmanship skills weak. Multiple times I stopped shooting holes in paper at gun ranges and though of selling all but one self defense pistol.I very recently met Dave Converse at Guns and Range Training Center in West Palm Beach while taking a gun to the gunsmith there, Sid Park, to have new sights installed. Sid always does my gun work, great work. Perplexed by 2 years of inconsistent performance and losing interest I decided to have Dave evaluate my shooting last week. Maybe he would tell me to take up a new hobby and end this unsuccessful path. The lights came on. Dave is the only firearm instructor I have had that is an excellent grade teacher and communicator. He is keen in observations of what is going badly and makes immediate corrections, puts together a plan to solve those issues with specific training I have never experienced, is very encouraging and has put me through more advancement in 3 hours than all the previous near 20 hours of training combined. There are dozens of things I did not know, had never seen and lack of knowledge and skill made things more difficult. My interest in shooting guns with better precision and skill is back thanks to Dave Converse.As a comparison of instructors I spent 41 years flying commercial and business jet aircraft and had near 500 instructors. Many were not so good. A small number stood out. At the top of my instructor quality list would be Dave Converse at Gun and Range Training. He stopped me from quitting shooting and has my skills moving forward, awareness of many unknown issues is getting addessed and I enjoy shooting again as much as my first day. Guess I will not be selling my firearms. My attitude on many things around the house is also improving after seeing some success at something I wanted to do better at but was failing. Thanks Dave for getting me back in the game, I look forward to continued work with you.

I just found this place and realized it is very close to my job so stopped in on my lunch break to get some accessories for my AR. Great selection of anything you could possible want. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Dave did a great job helping me pick out the best options for what I was looking for and even asked the other employees their opinion on a specific item I was looking at. He went over additional items that I didnt even think about getting and found the options best for my budget. I will not go to another gun store for anything and foresee myself spending lots of money here in support of my competitive shooting hobby. If there was a 6 star rating, they would have it.

Trainers are good, owner always present. Can meet most all on line prices. No wonder law enforcement is always in there. Great operation.....honor and pleasure to be their customer.

I recently moved here from CT and was looking around the area for a solid gun shop/range. I was excited to come buy a pistol from these guys they had a great selection a tad over priced but then they told me my ID was fake and wouldn’t sell me anything! Ive been a customer for some time now. Have had stippling done to my pistols, bought multiple firearms, lowers, and uppers. Their inventory is second to none. But... Thats not the Gun and Ranges best feature. Its their people and their superb customer support. Alex who owns the place will remember your name after one meeting. His son Alan is a chip off the block, great kid. Mike the Armorer always ready to answer any question, Johnny the manager is a riot. My goto guy is Dave, who I rely heavily on for my builds and training. I may be a bit biased since hes a fellow Veteran, but he knows his craft. If you visit, ask for him. You wont be disappointed.

Guns and Range Training Center is by far the most sophisticated range and firearm store in South Florida. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and take the time to educate instead of just sell. This is the type of environment that the novice first time shooter can feel comfortable in, as well as the seasoned firearms pro. The variety of options available to the customer is refreshing and exactly what you are looking for if you want to improve your skills with a firearm. The range is clean, inviting and safe. The laser simulations are realistic and allow you to feel first hand what it would be like dealing with a personal defense situation. The coolest part of this place is the airsoft course. You can actually engage in simulated combat without having to actually be put in danger. Highly recommend Guns and Range Training Center to all who have yet to come across this Gem of a Gun Range and Gun Store.

I came in for a concealed weapons class and had such a great experience. Came back a few weeks later and purchased my first firearm. The staff was so helpful and I purchased my first firearm. I am now signed up for the beginners firearm class! Cant wait!

I took a competition skills class with Mike; great guy and very helpful. Also in a great location, 10 minute walk from the Rosemary Square.

This place is AWESOME! Great experience with my purchase yesterday. The gentleman that helped me was very nice and helped make the buying experience go very quick. Its rare to find a gun shop that employs people who are great to deal with. Usually you get one extreme or another anywhere else, such as a guy who acts like you are a waste of his time and you should feel honored to even shop in their store or you get the overbearing sales guy that is all too happy to sell you the complete opposite of what you came for. They had an extensive inventory including exactly what I came in for. Will most certainly be back.

Steve, whos a veteran and did three tours, understands what is necessary and has complete confidence and knowledge to pass on to anyone who wants to learn about safety and proper handling of a gun.. truly an impressive young man. Needless to say, Im an older gentleman and I am getting my first certification. Naturally a bit nervous but he, being professional..was just great. helped me to relax and be at ease. Alex and all the staff at Gun and Range are super friendly. They offer great gun instruction and shooting classes, with amazing instructors. The knowledge base is second to none, everybody knows what he or she is talking about, and theres no such thing as a stupid question. The range set up is perfect for first time shooters and seasons gun fanatics. The store is stocked full of everything you could possibly need or want, and if its sold out, theyll order what you need. The prices are at or below anywhere else in the area or online. With on site gunsmiths its easy to get upgrades or custom work done on firearms. If youve never shot a gun before, this is the perfect place to start, you wont want to go anywhere else after!!!

Just got my first gun from them and they are very helpful. They are very welcoming. And have classes and their trainers are amazing. I ended up in this place by a recommendation and I will say this they know what they are talking about and are very helpful.

I love this place. The knowledge that you are able to gain from Alex and his staff. All of them are extremely well versed in guns and ammo. Dont be afraid to ask anything. They all really love what they do and it shows. Alex has built a great business and with AJ on site as the guru of gunsmiths you cant go wrong. The selection of weapons available in the store is fantastic and I never have trouble getting my hands on the ever elusive .22 rounds. I could never get my hands on .22s on a regular basis but since I became familiar with guns and range I can easily purchase them with no problems. Im a life time customer from here on out. I attended a very informative CCW class with John who is an engaging speaker. He made the class interesting with a comfortable atmosphere to ask questions. Im looking forward to returning to receive more training with this fantastic crew. I was surprised by the welcome back I received from the owner when I opened the door!
