Very unprofessional service, I came here 15 mins before closing and the 2 people that worked there, male and female, (one with a white Honda and one with a grey Lexus) literally closed the door on my face. Most likely because they didn’t want to deal with a return super late. Great customer service, highly recommended 👍🏻

One of the managers, Francisco, was so amazing. I had come from 4 hours away and had to get a one way rental because a different location did t erect and fix a problem he did in less than five minutes. He got me set up and on my way - he and his staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We need more people like this! Great location.

Purchase a hitch to modify an elderly family members car. Made arrangements to pick it up on our way from Los Angeles to Oregon. Called twice to confirm yet when we got there exactly at the time were supposed to be there nobody was there they had not left it out and nobody would answer the after hours line. We had to get a hotel last minute in Sacramento and put us 12 hours behind our schedule. The owners response the next morning was no worries. As if its my fault. No apology no anything else. On the phone he told the employee who was supposed to take care of it the same thing no worries. Apparently customer service means nothing to them.

I had difficulty getting a hitch properly installed and previously left a negative review. Lo and behold, suddenly, I got a text and e-mail of a good appointment time to have the hitch installed. They are not taking Covid seriously, but I did get the hitch installed at $265 total - a good price imho. Don’t go to your automated appointment until U-haul confirms they have the hitch you need - otherwise they will shamelessly fumble around to get it ordered and have you come back in a month or whenever, and you’ll be doing the calling.

Absolute worst customer service ever. Planned my entire day around a 7am pickup time and even confirmed that in person at the West Sacramento store. Sure enough, come this morning, no one was there at 7am and Uhauls 1-800 number confirmed they don’t open until 9am. So why tell me 7am was fine for pickup? Thank you for screwing up my entire day folks! Definitely won’t be using any Uhaul location in the future - major PITA.

Rented a trailer for one day, returned it earlier by an hour, somehow they forgot to put it back in the system and charged me for late return, even though guy was putting it in computer as I was there. Called them a few time, said they would fix it, couple months later still nothing fixed. Stay away from uhaul.

Dont waste your money. Rented a car trailer and messed up my truck because they didnt hook it up right. Now they wont pay for damage because I rode off the lot with the trailer. Pay the extra money for a tow truck

Teresa is an awesome manager. I got here right before people starting coming in to pick up trucks. She filled my propane tank, was very nice and had me in and out of there in less than 15 minutes.

Came over 300 miles out of the way to pick up a load share. The load was not there or avaliable because the person had not even come to fill it. After many messages, I have yet to receive a call from the manager Theresa. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Uhaul is a nightmare and this is the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

My rental was due back on Sunday but the manager said as long as I had it back by Monday by 8 am I was ok. So I had it back by Monday at 7:30 am, and was charged for another day. Its a scam. The manager lied and I had to pay another $57 for another day.I tried to call but she refused my call. I thought she was the nicest person going but turned out to be the worse person I ever had to do business with. Please go to another location for your u haul needs. U haul is a good company but this location is not. Im sure im not the only one she has done this too. Just getting my story out there and please be aware and be careful.

I commissioned these guys to remove and install a higher capacity hitch and 7 pin plug. The initial hitch was a non-fit. Mitchell persevered for a very long time, and gave it his best shot, but fitting that hitch was never going to happen. Mitchell re-installed my original hitch and the 7 pin plug. He kept me informed every step of the way; and unlike most in his situation, he never tried to BS me.He charged only for the latter which he did magnificently.

They have the best New manager at this Uhaul! Her name is Teresa shes the NEW GM and shes on top of that place. Best Uhaul I ever gone to. Thanks Uhaul

Used a truck. $19.95 per day is great! Whoever the .79c per mile thing is a bit high. Other than that, good place to go when you need a vehicle in a pinch for moving something locally and you dont want to bother your family and friends to use their truck.Paul. CWest Sacramento

I get my propane tank (if that is what is called) for my grill machine filled here and I get free boxes here(which is awesome). I never used them for help in moving and what not, so I dont know about their rates and stuff. Not a lot of employees there and you usually have to wait in line.Not a professional, just some guy expressing his opinion to the world.

They have great customer service staff, very efficient and knowledgeable about their inventory and details of their contracts. Helped me in a very critical and important time! No hassle even when had to get a bigger truck than I had planned!

We picked up a trailer at a place a bit further north and had to swap it because of potential damage. The guys here were so helpful with the swap and helped us push our non-op vehicle off one trailer and onto the other. Thanks for making our drive so much smoother!!

Super slow service was in line with people behind me for over 30 minutes, the lady was on the phone the entire time and didnt acknowledge we were there. Go anywhere but this place, avoid it like the rona.

We had an appointment for a trailer hitch install at 7:00 am and were told we would be called when it was finished, but it would be no longer than 4 hours. We have called several times to check on it and they dont answer and call goes to a call center. Call center has no idea whats going on with my vehicle. No way to get a hold of them, its 6 hours later now, my husband had to leave town due to obligations and Im stuck without a car and have had no communication from the store about what is going on with my vehicle. Update: everything was installed, took 7 hours. They were very nice when I got there and said they had just been super busy. Still would be nice to at least have some communication about whats going on.

Quickly got the motorcycle trailer hooked up to my car, along with the required materials needed, and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes.The employees were friendly and helpful.

Rented for a recent move. Cheaper than I expected. (About $180 total including gas/mileage for 17 truck over about 85 miles, and the better insurance). They were busy but we didnt wait too long. Instructions were not explained well but we figured it out.If you return after they close, you just drop off the truck and throw the keys in a box when youre done. Not recommending this, but we took it back about two hours late because it took us longer than expected. No additional charge or penalty.Always spring for the bigger truck. Youll be glad you did - one less trip will pay for the higher rental price.

It is a good place to start with if you are planning to move and the workers are very friendly and professional and nows how to handle things.

Usually I have a decent experience and usually rent motorcycle trailers to take my bike to the race track. Today I realized how incompetent uhaul can be. I had reserved a motorcycle trailer a week ahead of time. I showed up at my pick up time only to be told all the trailers had been sent out. What is the point of a reservation if they do not hold trailers or look at what they need ahead of time? I had to drive to another uhaul out of my way just to get the trailer I needed. After this experience I will be getting my own trailer so I dont have to deal with this kind of crap again.

People are nice, neighborhood is sketchy. But my biggest complaint is that they gave me a truck with 7/8 of a tank of gas and also gave me a chart with how much gas to add depending on where the gauge is at the time to bring it up to 7/8. The gauge however wont register up to 7/8 unless you start driving. So I ended up adding 2 extra gallons but it still registered less than 7/8. Thankfully I gave up and left because the gauge then moved to almost full. They do this knowing people will add just a little bit more to avoid possible charges. Dont misunderstand, the gauge does move up to just shy of 7/8 then stops until you drive. SHADY business practices! If you have to rent a uhaul anywhere INSIST ON A FULL TANK.

DO NOT RENT HERE. Period.They called me and I called back only to be placed on hold. When I called them to confirm my *already confirmed* reservation one more time as i left work early to pick up the van, they told me they cancelled and resold the van.Why do I have a confirmation number? Apparently thats irrelevant. Horrible experience.

Theres a guy there his name is Michael its not his place of work first he couldnt find the key of the truck it took him forever when he found it he didnt know how to upload my drivers license he keep calling and calling waste my time in the end I had enough i drove 9 minutes away it took me 10 minutes to get the truck bad service Michael

It was a little hood but its all the location. The customer service was great very polite and attentive to our needs.

To start off with, I want a job and I can show up whenever at the start of the day. So needless to say at 15 minutes after they should have been open there still is nobody here to open this store in West Sacramento California. Some people have schedules and when a store supposed to be open at 7 oclock that is a service center they should be open at 7 oclock not whenever. So at this point in time 1 Star is the lowest I can give them or I would have given zero if it was an option.

Have to return unused uhaul boxes at uhaul centers, partner locations doesn’t work.

Reserved a trailer at this location 5 days in advance. The day of my pick up I found out the trailer is not available. Very bad customer service and unreliable.
