I would have given it 5 starts but I feel like the store is a little small but they have a good assortment of makeup. When I went to pay I had forgotten about the coupon I was going to use and the cashier didn’t mind having to cancel and reprocess my purchase. When I reviewed my receipt I saw that coupons and sales were automatically deducted from my total amount which is nice since you might not know which items are or aren’t on sale. Overall a pleasant shopping experience although I’d much rather shop online since I feel you can shop more of a variety than you can in store but instore shopping does get you your items instantly which is also nice.

Slightly helpful associates. Asked what I needed, they told me where to go. Once there we were told by another associate there were more up front, on sale... no further description. We looked around and found 2. That were the same as what I was just looking at! So we went to find the other thing I was there to find. No offers of help, and couldnt find it. So we went to checkout. Where we were informed if you want to return this you will need to have an account. No problem, Ill pass on the account and just not return... thanx anyways!

Really helpful staff, and larger inventory than a lot of other Ulta locations. I genuinely feel like Im being assisted when I walk in every time without workers being overbearing or condescending, which is unfortunately popular in beauty stores. I am a returning customer to this location for a reason.

Nice, big store, well stocked. Great clearance racks too. Raven is AMAZING! Helped us with everything we needed. Falisha (as it says on my receipt), however didnt give a very good or professional impression; from insinuating our SOs were cheating to saying he better be paying for all this referring to what we bought.. Id give Raven 6/5 stars alone, but given Falishas dramatic behavior... Anyway, Raven deserves a raise. Not only for knowing the product and listening to what we needed, but for obviously having great work ethic and being willing and able to answer a whole string of questions by those seeking to be more educated and healthy.

I was super disappointed to find them closed 15 min before their closing time. I called customer service and they gave me some reasoning. Sanatizing bcus of covid🤷🏽‍♀️but at 7:45 there was no one in there sanitizing, no note on the door, no one in the store closing down(so they were gone for a while).Completely understand things happening for covid but you should probably let the public know. I only had 15 minutes to take for something as unnecessary as makeup but its something I really wanted.

Good service

This was my first time shopping at Ulta. I will never shop at ANY Ulta ever again. The employees were rude, they were more interested in talking with each other and they made me feel like I wasnt welcomed. I was so discouraged and upset by time I got to check out I just wanted to put everything back and leave, I spent the 300$ anyway on the products I got and I still feel like I want to return the items I got because of how upset the entire experience was. When the girl at the desk rang me up she asked if I wanted to sign up for the store rewards, which I declined because I just wanted to leave as soon as possible, One of the other employees heard this and caughed under her breath free!. If you have something to say, say it to my face, please. Ive never had such an awful experience shopping in my life. I have been so stressed from things that have been going on in my life that this experience just made my anxiety worse and I am still trying to calm down hours later. I will never shop at Ulta again. Thanks.

Employs helpful staff. I wanted a specific item and the staff members found it. I was so pleased I signed up for the shopping rewards program.! My transaction was processed by the cashier in an excellent fashion. And she even let me tell a few humorous stories about myself.

I had a very pleasant experience at ULTA (West Valley City location) today, in the afternoon. I went in to buy Pureology conditioner and young lady working the counter gave me a free tote with a purchase. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a big deal if my birthday wasn’t yesterday and it just so happened that it wasn’t that great of a birthday, but this gift made my day today! It is a beautiful mauve-rose tote for the beach and picnic. Thank you Bailey (I think this is her name because it said so on the receipt, she had dark hair in a bun) for your kind gesture🙏 you never know how your actions may make someone’s day better. Also, all other employees greeted me and asked if I need help with genuine smile and eye contact. Store wasn’t busy which is good for browsing, and although I was in out and quickly, I will return again because of the professional employees and positive experience. Some ULTA locations (and I’ve been to few in Florida when Ulta didn’t even exist in Utah, back in 2007, have stuck-up employees and even some stores in Utah have arrogant employees with attitude). Anyways, this store is awesome, keep up the good work and thanks again!!

So i was in line and i was next the lady called up the next person which was me and my sister and this lady behind us just cut us in line and the worker didn’t even say anything i would rate negative stars if i could i also couldn’t even find help while i was walking around totally not recommended i mean one of the workers did see that they cut us in line n she did say sorry but like she still didn’t do anything about it.

Ulta is amazing with returns. I bought a BEAUTIFUL palette that ultimately ended up bothering my eyes, so I returned it. They were kind, patient and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable about returning a (slightly) used product.

Good product selection, helpful staff for the most part, the only thing that ruins the experience is the security guard who has a thing for following people of color around and watching them. My boyfriend and I felt so uncomfortable, I was helping him get some skincare products and I wanted to get a new fragrance for myself but after the sixth time of him going in circles around us, I just cut the trip short and stopped at the skincare.

One thing that really bothered me about this location was how they are with coupons. Their 1st reaction is no, and a solid no. Even if you know the answer is a definite no humor the customer by at least TRYING the coupon in front of them so they can see if deny. It shows that the associate is a advocate for the customer. I have gone in on several occasions where they told me no i cant use the coupon on sales items. I walk away reading the fine print and the fine print says that i can. so i had to jump back in the long line where she told me no again. i showed her the fine print. she called over a manager. as we waited she scanned the coupon and low and behold it worked. Over 30 minutes wasted when the coupon could have been scanned from the beginning and saved both of us some time. This similar scenario happened to me about 6 visits. Hasnt happen lately, Thats why i changed my vote from a 2 to a 3 star rating. Hoping they improve on this.

Lots of help.Was looking for a color that I couldnt find in local stores. And still couldnt find in their place in a pencil. I had never been in there before. So I was lost. Four different people asked me if they could help me. I ended up getting what I wanted and then some.

Such a great experience here! I didnt catch her name but the blonde lady that helped was absolutely fabulous! She answered all my questions, without making me feel stupid for not knowing all things makeup. She spent time picking out colors, making recommendations without pressuring me or rushing me. I love this location and most of the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They’re always willing to assist with anything you need and if they don’t know the answer to your question they will ask another employee and get an answer for you. My one and only complaint is that a lot of the time, they run out of things that I really want. I get that the employees really have no control over that and that’s why I’m not knocking off any stars for that but whoever is in charge of inventory and/or ordering, needs to step up the amount of product that they get shipped to them. Anastasia and Morphe and Too Faced seems to be the most that is out of stock constantly. Thank you for your time if any Ulta staff has read this review.

Best feet tools ever found

They take a bit, but its worth it in the end! It costs a lot though, depending on what you go. I enjoy the free pie and free kids meal days! And all the food is really big, so it is really worth it.

Not my favorite design for their stores but I love Ulta and couldnt leave without buying two Mac liquid lipsticks. Love that I can shop a large variety of high quality makeup without it being insanely expensive. Just kinda. But worth it!

This place really need to re-trained their stuff.This is the second time I purchased a perfume from there and asked an employee if I’m getting the right one since the whole store it’s a mess you can even tell which one is which and of course when I open the box it’s a completely different oneThey have 0 knowledge of the brand or even what the products look like!

Thus review is based off of my experience with Jessica. I am getting married in a week and am very inexperienced with makeup. I came to Ulta to get help finding a good match foundation, lip gloss and brow pencil. Jessica was SO kind, patient, professional, knowledgable and more. She educated me and spent time with me to try and find all the right products I needed to get ready on my wedding day. Being near xmas the store was packed, but she didnt make me feel rushed at all. I really appreciated the guidance and help.

Everyone was super nice. I went in yesterday and they didnt have a product, but they assured me that they would have it today. I got there, and they hadnt yet shelved the item, but an incredibly helpful associate went and searched for it, while another employee recommended new products I had never tried before. They were all super friendly and made sure that I was doing well. The checkout lady was also very nice, and very swift. I was super impressed with the service and vibe at this location, and am eager to return!

I went here looking for a straight iron for my wife. While they have a good selection of high end products, the staff is COMPLETELY unwilling to help a man. When asked if I found everything okay at the register I said not really. The cashier just ignored me and rung up my purchase. I wont go back without my wife!

I spent over $400 on my wifes Christmas. They couldnt give me a simple $10 off or anything. Ive worked in management, and retail and know how much room is to be worked with when it comes to prices. They said that she should have got an email with 20% off, after about 10 minutes of trying to find the email, the girl at the register told us to call customer service and they can send me a 20% coupon, and to just come back and apply the coupon when we receive it, just to be told by customer service that they cant, and have never done anything like that. Okay, whatever. My wife likes Sephora more, I guess we just start shopping there.

Hair girl is super awesome so nothing bad to say about her at all but a full color and a trim was a little over priced when last time I paid like 75 ended up paying 106.00 . I paid 38.00 just to get ends trimmed off. I will have to stick with super cuts next time for a trim. And than on top of that you had a huge line and one person running register really? I wont be back unfortunately to this location

This is a fun store with reasonable prices and a wide variety of products and brands. We found skin and hair products that we were looking for as well as perfume.

I had such a great experience. I needed some advice on different products and Malaja was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and patient! I am so glad she was there to assist me.

The service was friendly and not to pushy, the selection is broad and has some good high end pics (according to my wife, I really wouldnt know)The prices were about a 30-40% mark up on the same products on Amazon.Advice to management--You need to differentiate yourself from online retailers, carrying and promoting exclusive Ulta items with marketing demonstrations will get people in the door to buy your other products. I love Ulta! It’s a great store and I love their rewards program. The employees here are generally pretty nice. However they tend to follow me and my friend around whenever we come in and it always makes us uncomfortable. I’m a diamond member so I’m certainly not trying to steal anything. I love the company but only really come to this location when I must because they make me feel unwelcome. They’ve turned me into more of an online shopper when I’m searching for makeup now.

Good finds she some good prices but some products are way overpriced

Its just ok as far as Ulta stores go. No one asked if I needed help after walking up and down the same 2 aisles for 20 minutes. When I did ask for help, no one knew if they carried a fruit based enzyme mask. The other times I jave been in this store I cant get to the makeup because too many other young girls are there putting on the testers to get ready for their night out. Jordan Landing is less crowded.

The ladies were nice but kept asking me the same question everywhere I went and looking at my Ulta shopping bag at the same time.. like let me shop and if I needed help I would ask like I did like 4 times..

I shop here all the time. The staff is nice for the most part. But Ive found that if you come in with a certain look (IE, no makeup, sweatpants, messy hairstyle, etc) you basically get treated as if youre going to steal from them. I was browsing by myself a few weeks ago, items in bag, minding my own business when an employee approached me and asked that I leave my items with her behind the counter until Im ready to purchase them.She wasnt rude about it or anything, but you could tell she didnt trust me to not walk out without stealing or doing something shady.I was whole heartedly confused because I was minding my business, not being loud or obnoxious or even testing the products, I was just reading the bottle of a primer I was planning on buying, when she approached me and took all my items behind the counter.This is the first time Ive been treated like Im going to scam them, in years, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Im not comfortable in public without makeup, but Ive been wearing it less to help my skin. The whole situation wasnt bad, but it genuinely made me feel insecure about my appearance, and Im honestly scared to go back without being 100% done up.BESIDES, this weird experience, most of the other employees are kind and helpful. If they dont know the answer to a question about a product, they find someone who does. Ive always been greeted as I walk in, if I have an appointment for dermalogica, they always offer you water and a comfy place to sit while you wait.Of course Ill still continue to shop here... But maybe make sure I have a full face of makeup.

I walked in everyone greeted me but the problem was when I went to the brow section the security guard was there the whole time I was in that section. I moved to a different section on the other side of the store and he followed me there. I felt really uneasy to feel someone just watching your every movement.

Typically, I love it here. The employees are generally super nice, except for one. I didnt get her name, but the woman doing the haircuts last night (11/22/17) at about 8 p.m. was so incredibly rude. I asked her a question about the services they do there, as Ive never had anything done by them, and she was so rude that I just walked away. Then she and somebody else proceeded to laugh at me, just because I asked a simple question. Id have given the review 5 stars if it werent for her.

After new management took over a while ago, the store improved dramatically. Most staff is very friendly and helpful but there are some that seem to have only been hired for wearing makeup, because they lack any customer service skills at all. It leads me to believe they are slipping back to bad habits. If it werent for the last 2 experiences with staff, doing things Ive specifically spoken to management about previously, this would have been at least 4 stars.

I decided to give Ulta Salon a try after a very disappointing experience with a hairstylist at another salon who insisted that the cut I wanted could not be done on my hair because it’s too thick.I asked for highlights because of this. Sadly I did found out that my hair is very damaged and I need to wait for highlights so I went ahead asked the Ulta stylist about the cut I wanted originally. I figured it was a pretty short cut and that would take care of a lot of the damaged hair. I am so happy with the results! Rosario was able to cut my hair to the exact style I had wanted originally. She spent a few hours with me perfecting my hairstyle and advising me how to correct the damage. She was so friendly and professional. It was such a great experience I will definitely be a repeat customer!

The staff at this Ulta definitely greet you upon entering, but once you have a question about a product youre looking for, have a skin care issue, or anything related to their stock - theyre completely clueless. We came in looking for something to help heal super chapped lips, and two different ladies just looked at us blankly and said, I dont know try Vaseline. What?! So I looked on Ultas site on my phone and found 3 different brands in stock at that location that carried intensive lip repair creams. Hey Ulta management - maybe take some time to make sure your staff is knowledgeable about products, otherwise, what are they they for?

I have been to this location before. I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of product and for someone like myself who is not makeup savvy I wish the employees were a little bit more attentive in helping me find what I was looking for rather than me walking the whole entire store before finally finding the one thing I was wanting to buy. I do like that they have a rewards program if I decide to buy more stuff in the future.
