This is a company with a stellar staff and excellent customer service.I purchased my home two years ago and knew very little about oil heat. I still know very little, but I do know that this company knows what they are doing.I had an annual cleaning done this past week. The technician was friendly, detail orientated and extremely knowledgeable. Due to my ignorance I followed up the next day to get clarity about the general filter. It ended up implying the initial tech did not do his job correctly, which was wrong, he did.The woman who handles the phones humored my calls and was able to find time to have a pair of techs come back to my house. Without her I would still be worrying! The technicians explained the confusion took the time to show me how the system works. Total professionals!Big thank you to all involved, I will be a return customer.
Kevin came to service our boiler today and did a very thorough and fantastic job. He was very friendly and professional as well. In addition, he showed me how to keep the unit clean and free of dust and cemented my wall that was starting to crumble to make sure no carbon monoxide escaped into the house. I will definitely recommend and use Aurora again.
Worst company I have ever dealt with, they installed a faulty furnace and refused to fix it, they do not return phone calls. If you need any service do yourself a favor and never hire this company..... scam artists
By far the best oil company around the area. Heres how it works:1. Call and get quoted the lowest price in the area by their polite phone staff2. Set a time/ date usually only a day or 2 away to schedule the delivery3. Write a check out to them for the price & leave in an envelope on your screen door the morning of delivery4. Thats it, you have your oil; no headaches.

Show kindness, make exceptions when you have customers waiting for a delivery, and train office staff to know how to speak to clients which is hard to do if you are their boss and dont give the example. Dont decide how to treat a client based on the amount of deliveries; not everyone consumes the same amount of oil, some of us arent in the north all winter, and when we are, at times we are left without electricity and therefore cant have the heat on. Also, in using your own reasoning, wouldnt you want to purchase oil at the best price available? Wouldnt you want to use a provider who appreciates and respects you? Ratings do matter. All customers matter. If you lose 1 customer, for not crediting just $7.00, you would lose approximately $750+ in the year. If you retain 1 customer, 1 good review could bring you more customers. Nothing but 5 Stars for Aurora! Ive been a customer just about since they first opened and have never had one problem or complaint. The owner, Wayne, runs a very professional business and his delivery crew exemplifies it. And as a bonus, I find their prices are consistently .05 - .10/gallon cheaper than the other oil discounters. A first-time customer. Ordered 100 gals. on Tuesday, the day after New Years 2018, for a Saturday delivery. It was the earliest they could deliver. I knew I was cutting it close, but decided to go with it. It is Saturday night I am below empty, on the verge of running out, on the coldest day in the last ten years. No delivery. Maybe, the lowest prices, but you get what you pay (or didnt pay) for.Update: They came Sunday morning. He told me about the unusual demand that all providers are experiencing because of the cold weather. I can sympathize. He did say that his office called me on Saturday night, but I did not get a call. Nothing on my caller id, nor in my call log. If I did actually did receive a call, then I would give a higher rating.2nd Update: Received a call from Wayne (owner). He was very gracious. He said the secretary call using her private cell phone. However, I dont accept unknown caller, so it was blocked.I am giving them a 5 star, since he did go the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of.I will happily do business with them in the future.
They really went out of their way sending trucks out on Sunday. Trying to help everyone out with back up orders, do to the storm. I give them a lot of credit for that and it is -4 degree. Thank you for the oil.
Drivers claimed driveway was too unsafe for trucks. That same week we had other oil trucks come up the same driveway without any issue or complaint. Aurora did not call when delivery could not be made despite leaving two phone numbers and being assured by the dispatcher that I would be called if there was any issue. I was out of town and came home to an empty oil tank. Had they called I wouldve found another company. My CC was charged for two non-deliveries. I was told by the owner that I would be refunded for those charges because they neglected to call. Over 1 month later they refuse to refund those charges. Bad customer service. Owner was condescending and not sympathetic to the issues the non-delivery caused.
Too bad they jack the price of emergency stiphen prices 30 to 50 cents per Gallon above the market price, which is illeagal. I never said fill my tank period. When i tried to rectify this situation he became rude, calling me hunny, hunny you can say what you want i dont care, i will keep your (from this year, mind you) grant as long as i want.... illeagal. You want money for a product you get the going price, not an over priced amount because i had to use a grant for any portion, whether i ordered it or not. I guess i WILL report you to a couple of places, i should have done to begin with. Put the bill out here so everyone can see your gouging. Let everyone know what you do, and how you talk to woman other than your wife... the most unprofessional company. O, and hey, lets not forget the emergency 100 gals you were by LAW to deliver within 24hrs that did not show up for 5days...begging you for heat days before Christmas, burst pipes and sludge in tank, clogged system due to it. For six years I went to them for oil but after today I will never ever go to them. After the owner showed up today to deliver oil. He was very rude to my wife and since we dont have an outside fill spout he refused to fill it even though for 6 years that company did. Also its freezing temps and we have kids and now have no heat tonight. Thanks a lot aurora oil you have lost a customer.Lol ok buddy so I got oil 15 months ago and every year before. Sorry I dont buy it every few months but I burn wood mostly but ran out thus year due to the cold weather and my video surveillance in my basement and back door show how rude you were should I post these on the internet for you to see?? Also you told my wife we were flagged and thats why you were there right? Well what kind if business flags someone with out telling them if I knew I needed to make changes I would have not waited till dead of winter to do so. Secondly your company then has been filling it ILLEGALY for a few years now. Also you told my wife you would have filled it if you had a different attachment but you didnt and wouldnt be back. I tried some fuel companies in the past until I found Aurora fuel 4 years ago and I have to say that Aurora Fuel is the best Oil services company fro the one we tried, they are always on time their prices are very competitive, I wouldnt change their services for another heating Oil company,
Ive used Aurora in the past.Ive moved and use oil once again for heating. Timely Delivery service and the Drivers as well as Office Staff have been respectful and courteous.
Was due to have delivery yesterday. Delivery guy came to the door. He seemed he was having a bad day and had a bad attitude. I brushed it off. It continued. Brought the hose in and then out. on the way out stating he didnt have the correct nosel and he would have to come back tomorrow. He was visably frustrated and at this point I didnt care if he came back at all. After putting the hose back he came back to the house, I could see he was trying to collect himself and be more professional. He extended his hand and told me he was Wayne, the owner of Aurora. I was a bit shocked as up to this point I truly thought he was just a disgruntle employee.He did a good job of explaining to me why he couldnt fill our tank and that it is a liability for him. Which is understandable. He also told me if he had the correct nosel with him he would have just filled it for us so we werent empty. He told me the reason he was at our house was that because the last driver flagged our account and that the next time we called for delivery that he should come out and look as they believed there was an issue with our tank. I can fully appreciate policies and procedures. I can understand liability and I can fully appreciate them looking out for our family since from what he said the set up isnt safe. What i find totally unacceptable is that nothing was ever said to us prior to that day. If there was an issue with the tank I fully expect a professional to address it at the time its discovered. We have used Aurora in the past. They have delivered to our house many times in the past. The tank hasnt changed. I wish something was said sooner. Because now, in the cold, we have no oil and need to spend an unknown amount of money unexpectedly, in order to have our tank filled. When we could have been told in advance. Or he could have returned with the correct nosel and given us some oil since he was just telling us for the 1st time that there was something wrong.********In response to your response... we use mostly woodwbut have run out this season due ti unusually cold weather. We dont call around. We never received a message from you or a note saying anything the last time you delivered in 2016. And why did you fill it those times if there was something wrong? And we certainly used you more than two time. Regardless, insulting us as parents and saying you informed us prior to yesterday is a blatent lie. PS. Hes my husband. And your 2nd u professional insulting response makes a 2nd bad review from us necessary. So people can see the unprofessional owner they will be dealing with when they use Aurora Fuel.

I have never seen a company lose 3-4 hundred a month over 10 dollars over a policy not being explained well...im in customer service have been for a long time and to waive 10 dollar fee to keep buisness as usual should be no problem....always make the customer feel important something that was lacked now im going to pay 20.00 more a month just to not be treated like tbat

Very disappointing experience! I have a sister on life support, bedridden with muscular dystrophy. We have been using Aurora Fuel Co. for our oil deliveries. We have a long driveway that is plowed. We called for oil on Feb 17th in the morning. They said they would deliver on the morning of the 18th. On the end of the day on the 18th Alexus said the driver handed her a slip saying he didnt deliver. Alexus said the driver would deliver by the end of the day tomorrow (19th). I explained my situation that we were bouncing off empty asking to please let me know if they couldnt deliver early or I would have to move my sister out because of no heat. Day 3, 19th, I get another call at 2:17pm saying they could not deliver because the driveway is too long. They kept me waiting for 3 days leading me to believe they would deliver by the end of each day. Now Im in an emergency situation!
