This was my first experience with a moving company and it couldnt have gone more smoothly. I underestimated the amount of items to be moved, they did their best to fill the truck and scheduled an extra half day to come out and move the rest. The pricing was transparent and there were no surprises. Both moving teams were very courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend using this company!!

I was on a tight timeline to get out of my apartment and Two Men and a Truck was so accommodating with my short notice! They were super friendly and patient on the phone in getting the move date set up, and they were flexible in accommodating my schedule. When the crew arrived, they were prompt, wicked friendly, clear about the process and expectations, and very respectful of my stuff. Also due to short notice, I wasnt able to get a local storage unit as big as I wanted. I told the crew I was nervous about it all fitting in there - and they admitted they were a bit nervous too 🙂 They put a lot of thought and care into loading the storage unit and were able to make it all fit! Overall I was super impressed with the whole experience, beginning to end, and I really appreciate the service they provided. Thank you!

Two Men and a Truck completed our move from one single-family house to another this past weekend. The office team, as well as the moving team, were absolutely phenomenal. Everyone was so professional, respectful, punctual, and just all around friendly. Our estimate was 7-9 hours and they got it done in less than 5 without a scratch on any items, floors, or walls. They even lugged our washing machine upstairs by themselves! We cannot recommend a moving company more highly than Two Men and a Truck. I have been meaning to get around to this for a while now. I worked for T women for 6 months during the pandemic and It was an experience I will never forget. I got the opportunity to do a real mans work and while some days were longer than others and some days were harder than others I got to do it with the best people I couldve asked for. Driving around Maine was like getting paid to go to summer camp. Loading up in the truck in the morning and knowing we were going to make a difference and take the weight and the stress of moving from our clients was euphoric we had a good system when I got there that only got better as I left. Matt Billy and Devin always took pride in the office work and GM Gabriel was a true leader the type of legend that is so rare now a days. I truly believe that this is the best moving company in the state of maine and for as long as The men I started with remain it will continue to be so. What an amazing team! The moving team consisted of three young men, Justin, Gabe and Yomar. Justin was the lead person. He was professional and knowledgeable in this lead role. All three movers interacted with us in a professional and friendly manner. They got to work right away and worked steadily through the move out, and then again at the move in location. They handled our furniture with care. At one point we had a challenge with getting the washer/dryer out of a tight space. They worked together with us, got creative and solved the problem in a safe way. There were high fives all around. Justin, Gabe and Yomar worked so well together as a team. They were always respectful and helpful to us and to each other. What a wonderful moving experience. I would highly recommend Two Men and a Truck and this fantastic team. Thanks again guys.

I used this service last year to move my business and they were excellent, quick, responsive, on time and professional, this month I have called seven times and have not received a response from them, I have deadline to move made that very clear on voicemails still no response, I would not recommend them there are better movers out there that answer their phone or at least respond and are far cheaper.

Fantastic moving experience! I was given a two hour window for arrival time but they ended up finishing their prior job earlier and called to see if we were ready for them. They were very careful with our things moving out and moving into our new home, and very sweet to our daughter and dog. Would recommend to anyone!

Mover claimed there were bugs on my mattress and mold on a piece of furniture. Mover would not show me the bugs (I couldnt find any) and the mold is actually black paint over spray on a piece of furniture. They also informed me that they will never do business with me again. I dont know what their issue really was. It certainly wasnt bugs and mold. Shoddy company.

I would highly recommend this company for any moving needs. I was fortunate enough to have Keith, Billy, and Hunter to move our furniture from an apartment to a storage unit. They were on time, very professional, and worked extremely efficiently. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

The team worked quickly and carefully in moving all of the heavy items we needed to move upstairs and downstairs. They were very polite, followed directions of what to move next, protecting the items with moving cloths and generally being very attentive to what we needed done. I hate to be a Karen but...Imagine... it is the morning of your move. 30 minutes before they were due to arrive, the guy calls to cancel because of a mechanical issue (sure) with their moving truck. How can a national company not have access to another truck? When I asked if they would be able to get a UHAUL they said that they only had a 10 truck available, which was not sufficient for my move. Interestingly, when I called UHAUL I was informed that every truck was available.Perhaps a name change to NO MEN AND NO TRUCK movers who DONT care

I had a positive experience with Two Men and a Truck here in Maine. We hired them to complete our local move from Portland to Westbrook. They were on time, efficient and did a great job wrapping and protecting all of our furniture. We also found the total cost of the move to be very reasonable.

We had a positive experience with a team moving us out of our prior home and into storage over the summer. The team that moved us out of storage and into our new home was terrible. Damaged doors, walls, stairs, hardwood floors. Had no coordination as a team, lacked the necessary strength to handle the move of household goods. At one point a guy said hold it, Im going to ram it as hard as I can while moving furniture up my stairwell. I intervened. The leader of the crew stopped listening towards the end of the move and just left stuff in my garage despite me asking him to place it in the basement. Office was initially helpful sending over a contractor but only agreed to patch the holes in the drywall of our new construction home. No effort to fix floors, paint or issue a credit for us to hire someone to fix the remaining damage. Absolutely rolling the dice if you go with this company, maybe you luck out but if you dont get a good crew, their office team is only passively interested in pleasing its customers.

I used these guys for a move within Portland. When I made the reservation, the agent said the minimum hire for their company is 1 hour and additional time is calculated in 15 mins increments. I was given an estimate to hire them for up to 3 hours, but after going over the items I was moving and the distance, the booking agent said this job should only take 1 to 1.5 hour.This is where it gets interesting. I want to emphasize the move itself was fine, but there were a few things you should ask them before you make your reservation. YMMV.1) The movers were supposed to start at 11:30 am. At 11:08 am, one of them called and informed me that they should arrive in 30 minutes. However, they did not arrive until 12:15 pm (45 mins late).2) The actual move was completed swiftly within an hour from 12:15 to 1:15 pm; however, when I was presented with the final bill, they tried to charge for 1.75 hour. They said that according to their fine print in the pre-estimate, I am also responsible for the “45 minutes of travel time” to the starting location. This equates to an extra $161. I have no control over where they were coming from or where was their last job. One would expect them to show up on time at 11:30 and ready for their job. I have used other movers previously and “travel time” to reach the move-out location was never billed. The manager agreed to give me a discount but I still paid an extra $66 for them being 45 mins late. When I tried to access the pre-estimate form online to read the fine prints, it appears the form is no longer available for viewing.3) I didn’t realize I was paying for 3 guys instead of 2 guys- I don’t know if there’s an option to hire only 2. If you want to hire TWO Men and a Truck, you’d want to confirm their hourly rate.YMMV but I’d recommend having a through reading of their contracts before booking. I’d also recommend the company to be more transparent about your quote. If you want to bill for “travel time,” it should be an item listed next to the fuel and insurance charges. Again, the move itself was fine and all items arrived safely.

My move was from Freeport to Wells Maine on Jan. 4th 2021.

I had three men and a truck for my move from my bedroom in my daughters home, to my storage units and then all to the house I was going to rent. They all showed up on time in Yarmouth, loaded my few pieces of furniture and then headed to the storage facility on Presumscot in Portland. I had two 10x15 units there that they got cleaned out pretty quickly, and then headed to my place in Westbrook. All in all, it was just under four hours - including drive time. There were no stairs and no assembling of furniture. The bill was $875. The three guys worked smoothly, professionally and were very pleasant to deal with, especially Brandon who was in charge. Cody was a hard worker, and I believe the third fellow was Efar - not sure how to spell his name, but he worked hard as well, even though it seemed he was fairly new. I have used Two Men and a Truck in Florida as well. Nice organization and would definitely use them again, but this was my second move in four months, and I dont want to do it again for a very long time, if ever! lol

I have used this company several times for in house moves with furniture and setting up new furniture we were installing .They came on time wearing the covid masks and were just terrific with the older items that needed moving. Thanks to them for making it go so smoothly . I like how their scheduling is so much easier than Local Muscle. They have it down! :-) and they are local.

DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANYI feel compelled to share my extreme disappointment with the Westbrook Maine office of Two Men and a Truck. The movers did show up after a call to dispatch to check on their arrival time. The two young men and young female loaded our belongings for a quick move from SoPo to Falmouth. While unloading our furniture, they dragged a seven foot iron table out of their truck. Doing so broke the welding that held one of the eight legs. A damage report was done on site. A call, to me, was not done until three days later stating that theyd take a look at the pictures the movers took, and let me know their thoughts. To be honest, I dont care about their thoughts, the company that I hired BROKE a piece of furniture that I owned. After a very brief call with Brian Stern, he claimed that the welds were compromised prior to the move, and that they werent responsible for the damage, but for my consolation, theyd credit my account for $120. Mind you, the table cost me $1300. The money they refunded me wont even cover the repair. I think the most disappointing part of the transaction was how they made me feel...like this was my fault. Horrible way to do business, especially to a local person, like myself.I would NOT recommend this moving company to handle your hard earned belongings now, or ever again.Stay clear.

The three guys that did our move were friendly and knowledgeable. We had a small issue occur and they took responsibility and apologized numerous times and the company is working with us to resolve it. It was super easy to schedule and everything was transparent. These guys were awesome! So friendly and efficient. They did things quickly while still being careful with my furniture. As with any move professional or not a wall got a little scratched. The office team quickly contacted me for a time when they could come to repair. I would recommend these guys too everyone and also found they were the least expensive out of 5 different quotes I got. After arriving late an additional team showed up to help get things done quickly and efficiently. I had them unload three containers and everything was done before they left late on a Friday night. Highly recommend.

Let me first say that the movers were very nice and pleasant with the exception of one who was rude and disrespectful to his fellow movers. It was clear he didnt want to be there and the result of this bad review. That mover was super lazy and decided to roll an expensive deck umbrella down the deck stairs destroying the stand. The team leader apologized several times and promised it would be replaced. After the move we noticed several other sentimental items were destroyed as well, but not much I can do since those are not replaceable. We moved in November 2018. Since this promise was made I have had several email communications with Collin, the manager/owner, and promise after promise of a replacement. I sent several examples of what the replacement would be, but to no avail. Yes, this umbrella is kinda expensive, but not my problem, they broke it with a promise to make good. As a Veteran myself I choice this company because it is a Veteran owner business. It is very disappointing that all I got is false promises and strung along. Maybe this should be sent the Attorney Generals office? Better Business Bureau?

Everyone was great, from the initial quote to the actual delivery. The folks were super nice and personable. They came in under budget and really helped out a ton. Strongly recommend them!

This is the second time I have used Two Men and a Truck for a big move and the second time that I have been 100% thrilled with everything!Just as the first time, the crew helping me out arrived at the scheduled time, communicated clearly every step of the way, handled my belongings with care, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was as I wanted.

Overall had a good moving experience with Two Men and a Truck though there were hiccups along the way. We used the pack services as well as the moving services so had 2 separate days. First, they booked us for the July rather than June - when we called to correct this, they told us all had been resolved, however come packing day they did not show up at the expected time slot. It took multiple attempts on the phone to finally reach a person, despite the fact they had a dedicated line for people who were calling on the day of their move. Turns out they had not corrected the pack date in their calendar. Fortunately they were able to send a few guys out later in the day to pack for us, and they were very efficient with the pack.A day prior to the move, the company called to say they had concerns about where they would park the truck on move day. I was surprised they waited this long to let me know this as we had booked a month prior and they knew our address - I would expect them to be familiar with the challenges of moving in a city or to let us know in advance if parking arrangements needed to be made. We made a plan to either park in our driveway or along the street as this is commonly done by people moving in our area. On the day of the move, we had unexpected construction on our street. When the guys came with the truck, they werent able to get it in the driveway due to the construction vehicles. They told us that per their manager, they would have to reschedule the move due to the parking issue and offered no other solutions. Again - I would have been more than happy to make arrangements to reserve part of the street for moving prior if I had known they would require this, but nobody from their company ever asked me to do that. I was not impressed that their solution was to reschedule as we had planned everything around moving on that day. Instead, I went up to the construction workers myself and asked if they could move their vehicles so that we could get the truck in our driveway, and they were more than happy to help us. We were able to proceed with the move without much further issue.On the positive, nothing broke en route and the guys were very friendly and worked efficiently. The move was finished in less time than anticipated. We were not impressed with the communication with the company (you never reach anyone the first couple times you call) or with the managers unprofessional decision to just reschedule the move due to a minor issue with parking - an issue which I myself resolved easily. I would expect a moving company to have better solutions to what must be a common issue in their field. The goal for hiring movers was to make the move less stressful, but our experience was more stressful than we would have liked.

We had to move some furniture from a family home in mid-coast Maine to Massachusetts. Our experience with Two Men and a Truck was positive all the way through. Adam and his team did a great job in difficult circumstances: late fall snow and ice, bitter cold, and an unheated seasonal cottage at the end of a long dirt road presented challenges. They were careful, polite, and on time, calling each time they left Westbrook so I would know when to expect them. Would recommend them highly.

Mine was not a big move but it included some heavy antiques and sleeper sofas. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. The 2 guys arrived on schedule-and I mean eerily withing 5 minutes of the scheduled time. They made short work of loading-less than an hour. There were no tracks in the house. Everything that needed it was wrapped and secured. The two guys were businesslike but informative. The entire operation came in below the estimate. Was I satisified. This was the best commercial move I have had. And I am pretty old. Thanks guys.

The office staff was very kind and patient with all of my questions. They also responded promptly to follow up emails. The actually moving crew was awesome. They made the process very clear, paid attention during the walk through (I only had to show them what items to move once), took good care of my belongings and finished my move quickly. They even offered to help rearrange furniture since I had 5-10 left in the hour I paid for. Made my move so much easier! They were professional, cheerful on a “bloody” hot day, focused and kind. They worked well as a unit, including training new staff which did not slow things down at all. Very happy. Will highly recommend!

The best money Ive ever spent! Im an OCD, DIY girl, Ive moved over 50 times, never with movers. But now Im 50, lol, and it was time to bite the bullet. Im so, so glad I did! When I called, I was promptly directed to the local office and they answered all my questions thoroughly and professionally. I was given a well explained estimate, and an appointment date that was prompt and convenient. When I met the movers, they were very professional and FAST but also very careful and respectful with my dust covered hodgepodge of stuff. Everything was explained thoroughly throughout the whole process, and the struggle was real on my end but I was able to relax and let them do an amazing job. Unload was also great. They finished a half hour ahead of schedule so I ended up paying less than the lowest end of the price range estimated. Amazing experience at a great value, thank you so much, 2m+t@Westbrook ME! A local company with very professional service; from the initial contact through the move, movers and follow-up. All done professionally with ease. Moving is so stressful, sometimes added to by the moving company experience; this was just the opposite. The entire experience was so easy and our biggest job was to stay out of the way and let the professionals do their work. I would highly recommend them.

We were only supposed to have 4 guys show up, but due to a cancellation we had 6. They were so quick and amazing we were moved out of our old house and into our new house in half the time we expected. And we didn’t get charged more! I was so happy with their courteousness and their ability to help us. The crew were great and quick and we were very happy. We would use them again (if I ever have to move again, which I hope we don’t have to!) in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone looking for an easy and worry-free move!

The office staff was very helpful and flexible while we tried to figure out the best plan for moving and moving day. I was thrilled when we were offered extra men and a pick-up truck to help with the move at no extra cost, and even more when the team managed to pack and move much more of our belongings in a single truck then we thought would be possible. The movers were friendly, professional and pleasant to have around. We had lots of heavy and awkward stuff to move- they took care of everything with a positive and friendly attitude. Cannot thank you all enough!

This is one of the most satisfactory experiences I have had with a moving company. I have moved three times in the last six years and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK far out passed and out classed any other company I have used. The positive experience began with the intake of information for the estimate and continued right through to the day after the move when they called to check in. I had several questions during the process and the office crew was always respectful and put my mind at ease. The movers that arrived on moving day were efficient, personable and professional. My husband and I moved last weekend from Portland ME to Gorham ME. Your business came highly recommend. The movers were punctual and fast. The quote was within the estimate. However due to the flu we have not left the house since moving day. This morning I went to my car and found one of our boxes they carried in on the ground in the snow next to our deck. Im very dissatisfied that not only they dropped it but left it there. It was full of books that are now damaged. I have a picture. Please I would like a response. At that time, their services were rated by me as being 5 Star, without question! With renovations completed, we again called on them to return those items back into the house. The movers showed up on time and did not waste any time loading the truck. They took care of every item as if it was priceless. The movers were amazing to watch. It was a bitter cold windy day but they never complained. We were able to finish in record time and my overall bill was lower then the estimate. This company was hired to move my elderly in-laws, and we couldn’t be less satisfied with the results. They left half of their stuff in the previous residence, refused to take items that they should have absolutely taken, were completely unorganized about the whole thing, and certainly didn’t live up to the promise of helping older folks with difficult transitions. Then they had the audacity to charge $1,500 more than was quoted! Now, after paying all of that money out of their fixed income (over $3,700 😡), we have to take time off of work, rent a uhaul, and drive 7 hours round trip to move them ourselves! The customer service has been abysmal and the whole thing seems like a scam. Look elsewhere for your moving needs!

I requested a quote online. They called me back fairly quickly, but they soon realized that they would not be able to help me and they cut me off, interrupted me everytime I tried to speak and then hung up on me. Im fine that they were unable to help, but definitely need to work on customer service. I will have several moves coming up in the foreseeable future and I will not be calling these guys again. They wouldnt have gotten my business this time around due to a service they dont provide, but they wont be getting my business in the future due to just being plain rude!

It was easy to set up the time and they were quick and took great care of my items.

I have used this company twice. The first time was a very hot day and we were cleaning out a very messy rental. The men were top notch. The second time we had multiple pick up sites and a second floor delivery. They even laid out carpets for me. The truck was very clean as were the men. I will use them again!

Best moving company

We called for help with packing as they advertise “packing services”. Although expensive, we needed the help so went ahead with it. The product we received was completely unacceptable and most items will have to be repacked (e.g., glass items were placed in a box completely unwrapped and just labeled “glass”; boxes which came with the instructions to please repack were given tape lattice as lids (really??!?!?). It is embarrassing that this is offered as a service is this is deemed acceptable.

Staff and movers were friendly and informative throughout the whole moving process. They were careful in moving all of my furniture and will use them again in future moves. Great experience with the local team in Portland, Maine!

Chris, Ben and Matt were very efficient. They were most pleasant. They took the time to give utmost care to our household goods. After having a horrible experience with Liberty Bell when moving from NC to Newmarket, these guys were a real treat.
