Everytime we come here we always get good service! The staff is knowledgeable and you can tell they enjoy their profession. DJ, and also the guy with long hair (Im sorry, I forgot his name), are very friendly, and very professional. When I come here I hope they will be there too in case we need help with anything! :)

My honey found the drum he was looking for. The sales people showed us where the drums were and told us to take our time. It was close to closing time but that didnt matter. Definitely recommend this store.

Ive been to a lot of guitar centers over the years, and this is the best one Ive seen. All the staff were helpful, and happy to be there, and they were fellow musicians. And, at least for me, a guitar and bass player, they had all the right things in stock.

Great staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Selection is a bit limited compared to some of GCs larger stores but this is very convenient if youre in the T.O. area.

I looked online for an XLR microphone cable and discovered that Guitar Center in Westlake was the only place near me (20miles) that had what I was looking for. Having been burned by internet postings in the past (Stores claiming they had merchandise when they didnt) I thought Id better call ahead before making the drive. The person I spoke told me that they in fact did not have the cable advertised but he would gladly sell me a much longer cable (20) for three times as much as the original listing. I decided to bite the bullet and go for the longer cable. I asked what time the store would be closing and was told 7pm. I asked the person I spoke to, to please put my name on the cable and hold it for me at the front counter and that I would be in to pick it up before 7pm. When I arrived at 6:30pm the kid behind the counter looked around before telling me that while he did see my cable at the counter, when they changed shifts my cable was put back on the rack and subsequently sold to someone else. By way of an explanation, I was told that these cables sell out quickly but would I be interested in buying an even more expensive cable. The option being offered me was to change my original choice for a cable that cost around 8 bucks for one being offered to me for close to $50.00. You got to love stores that dont have managers on staff.

Super bad slow and non professional service.I made my purchase in Westlake location, they toke more than 1 hour to process the payment, I get part of my items in there then I drive to Oxnard location to get 2nd part of my order, then in the oxnard store didnt get my stuff suppose to be because the payment wasnt complete yet!! I waited almost 3 hrs for nothing complete!!!!

We all know how hard is to find a professional guitar tech, we all have horror stories to tell, so in-fear we go blindly for the most famous guy in town and pay a VIP price just to find out the guy is not so great after all. Same old story.A few weeks ago, I was in my favorite Guitar Center location (Westlake) and I couldnt help but notice the type of customer service that one of the tech guys was delivering. He was kind of busy and multitasking (fixing guitars, answering phone calls and taking care of each customer that approached him at the counter), but instead of getting stressed out, he patiently took the time to listen, answer questions, explain the available options, give advice and recommendations. I was close enough to hear all that, and I could tell this guy was knowledgeable, passionate for his job and with a great sense of customer service. So, I was sold on-spot, I was willing to bring him my Bass for a setup.When I brought my bass in, he was in the same busy situation, but he stopped what he was doing and gave me the exact same treatment and service he gave to the other customers. So, that first day I didnt experience a glitch in the matrix, he was that good.Today, I went back to pick up my bass, this time there was 2 tech guys, same amazing customer service, they explained me in detail what they did, took me to the Amp section, asked me to try my bass and to play as much as I needed to. They approached me a couple of times just to check on me and ask if there were any issues at all with the setup, they also offered to readjust if it was necessary.Ill tell you something, the whole setup was just perfect, I could not believe it, after all my bad luck, I just had found the guitar technicians I was hoping to find. My Bass have never sounded and played better before, the difference of having some setup and a perfect setup is out of question. Thank you guys!!!My honest advice; bring your Guitar or Bass to this location, you wont regret it.

I just received a Mario Martin Serpentine from Guitar Center Westlake Village. Although it didnt arrive exactly as stated or on time, a quick call to Chris quickly remedied all issues. I was so angry but Chris took it in stride, did his own investigation to see the issues for himself. He apologized for something overlooked & probably out of his control, found a solution. Came in this weekend in hopes of getting my new guitar set-up. I had been trying for over a week at my local Guitar Center in Oxnard with no success of being able to catch a tech in time. When I went into the Westlake Guitar Center I was referred to Sean who explained walk-in set-ups are usually hard to get. But guess what? He agreed to take a look at it and then just set it up anyways! I was so thankful! Even though I live in Oxnard, Ill definitely be making the trek to Westlake for any of my guitar issues in the future. Sean is the best!

Went with my wife to see if Guitar Center could help with the bend in her 2 bass guitars. Sean and Jeremy in the repair center were very friendly and helpful. It took less than 5 minutes until her guitars were adjusted and playing perfectly.She also had a few questions about selling some instruments and the sales staff were more than happy to oblige. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this Guitar Center.

Was very thankful to come to this location, the staff is really nice. I was looking for some equipment and guidance, also wanted to possibly sign up my daughter for lessons. The people are really helpful and a gentleman named Freddy was very helpful and kind. It’s customer service like that really reflects on the management and the company. 5 stars!!

Great selection of keyboards and guitars, only a few ukuleles (kinda disappointing).Prices (for ukuleles at least) could be cheaper and can be found for less online. Nothing beats trying an instrument in store though.All string instrument are properly tuned and ready to play which is awesome.Staff is very nice. Theyll guide you and answer all your questions.I found out electric guitars are super heavy. Good times.Will visit other locations.

Came in because my Uke had a broken string. Guy at the repair station worked quickly and cordially. When I went to pay he kinda just waved me out the door. Great experience, will come by again if i need more repairs.

Came here to buy an acoustic guitar. The staff is friendly and similar to the staff at other Guitar Centers that I have visited. They seemed knowledgeable and were definitely all musicians themselves. It is good to check beforehand if they have what you are looking for. The store is smaller so they dont have as wide of a selection as other locations.

Sean the Guitar tech was extremely knowledgeable and kind. I brought in a broken guitar and he went above and beyond for a person he doesn’t know. The guitar came out better than I brought it in. He didn’t just fix it, he improved it. Thank you.

Eric has a bad attitude and lacks customer service skills. He lied to me and said that he had installed the pickups on my guitar and the pots, but he would not be able to to get the existing toggle switch to work with the new EMG pickups. Eric told me that I would have to order a new toggle switch for additional $30. I told Eric that Jeremy told me that he could use the existing toggle switch Eric said to have Jeremy do the work. Eric also wanted to charge me $30 more in labor. Eric said that if he were to use my existing toggle switch it would not be able to switch between the pickups. I called EMG and the representative told me that the kit that is included with the EMG pickups includes a box for using the existing toggle switch. Eric is a nasty person to talk to . I caught Eric in two lies. First he lied to me about him requiring a new toggle switch for my guitar, and the following day when Jeremy returned to work Jeremy told me that Eric did not install the pickups and that Eric did not install the pots. Jeremy told me that Eric had done no work on the guitar. The techs at Guitar center are not able to quote you a duration of time. They will not be able to tell you when you will get your completed guitar back. It could take one to two weeks to finish the work on your car. Eric is not pleasant to deal with.I asked Jeremy to put the light gauge earnis ball light gauge strings onto my electric guitar four times and he put the wrong strings onto my guitar. They did a poor job on my repair and then they tried to cause a fight with my mother and I, by telling her how rotten I have been to them when it is them who are rotten.

Very helpful salespeople, great selection and I think their prices are good although I am not an expert on that. Its a fun store to shop in, and I like supporting local businesses (I realize its a chain.)

The amount of Joy I am now containing that Qatar center has finally arrived is hard to put into paragraphs. The Christmas season will really be taken to new levels now that theres one stop fine retailer that provides all the benefits of my homeland Qatar . The double baked bahindra burrito comes to mind as a fine delicacy. Lovingly stuffed with hissing beetles I can kindly say I have not ingested its superior. Please stop by and sample braised temptators . Savory potatoes u cant resist .

Out of all the Guitar Center stores I have been to, this is a joke to have so close to their corporate office. Corporate should be ashamed to call this a store. I have seen better equipment in the local RadioShack. If you need more that strings or picks, dont waste your time at this location. Its as if they put all the crap they couldnt sell into this one small room, and called it a Guitar Center. Drive to Northridge or Oxnard to see a real music store. Hell, the locality owned independents have better equipment and selection than these guys. Dont waste your time shopping here.

Unfortunately came in to rent speakers and was unable to talk to a customer representative for over an hour. The personnel on staff seemed undertrained - a young man in front of us had his guitar purchased by Guitar Center and the buyback forms took 45 minutes to get arranged. The speaker rental took forever too. Sadly this store was severely lacking in service today. Several other customers were waiting as well.

The staff and my local store is a wonderful place and this review is not towards that store but the online store is horrible!I recently order a large amount of equipment from the online site. I was told 3 to 5 days shipping. On the 5th day the order was partially shipped. I called customer service service serveral times and was told several different things that all turned out to be not true. As an example we are understaffed and your order has been in processing for 4 days a brief hold amd its ready to ship and it will leave this afternoon. Shipped a day later. Another lie i was told was we will have it in the store it is being shipped to by the end of the week even if we have to overnight the order. That didnt happen either. Long story short my order cam in 11 days after ordering it. How is that 3 to 5 days? Why does it take 4 days and 2 phone calls to process my order? After this experience i will not by from guitar center again. The online store has now made it were i will not due business with guitar center again. This does suck because it is cloae to my house and work and i buy alot of equipment. Looks like i will be doing alot of shopping on amazon from now on since my packages arrive when quoted.

Big enough selection and friendly staff

I was buying a very high end PRS anniversary guitar, and Dan was the salesman helping me. I ran into numerous obstacles due to me being from another state, and having store credit transferred to their store to help with this purchase, along with my GC Gear card. Chris the store manager, and Dan, not only talked my local GC manager thru this process of getting my funds available to the westlake store, but also with synchrony bank because my card got locked due to being used in another state. After all these little issues that seem to be mounting i was ready to give up on this deal, but both these guys worked above and beyond to help me, and in the end i got an amazing guitar!! Chris threw in expedited shipping to just make the customer service that much better. I know a lot of times people think of these box stores as the guys that look at you and give you no service, and act like your wasting their time, BUT if you call this store and deal with Dan or Chris i would bet you will have a great experience.

I had some downtime to check out the Guitar Center in Westlake Village, and wow. Just wow. Heres my experience with this specific Guitar Center:-No greeting until I was in the store 20 minutes playing a guitar-Bad selection of guitars. Disappointed in the ratio of crap guitars to nice ones. Little variety in amps.-Equipment in bad shape. The electronic drum kits hardly worked. Every guitar I played was in horribly bad tuning, and the action on each was absolutely astounding. I played the same PRS I played at Instrumental Music in TO and it made me not want to buy a PRS. A PRS GUITAR. How does this company expect to sell anything??-Not many guitars. For a guitar shop, there werent nearly as many guitars as there was DJ equipment, speakers, pianos, and drums. The guitars were shoved to the back of the store behind all the aforementioned crap.-Pricing was...meh. Nothing too pricey, but nothing too cheap.I usually go to the Guitar Center in Northridge and I like it. This one was so underwhelming...
