My fiancé and I stumbled across Axehead while exploring Whitefish and are so thankful we stopped in! Randy and Trina took the time to show us all the options and made sure we walked away with a hat we loved. They made us feel so welcome and like part of the family in the short amount of time we spent with them. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be stopping by on our next trip to Montana!

A must visit if youre in the area! My husband and I popped in here and fell in love with the shop and the owners, Randy and Trina. They take such pride in what they do and they make such quality products. Perfect place to stop if you need a gift for someone, or a gift for yourself! My husband got a hat (his new favorite) with a leather patch he selected himself, we got my dad some burnt whiskey sticks (that they make themselves!) and I got my mom a gorgeous scarf that she doesnt ever take off.Perfect place to get a gift.They have such a wide variety of gifts and goods at very reasonable prices. Visiting Whitefish for our honeymoon and walking the shops- we were looking for less tourist-like places and landed in Axehead. Randy clearly loves what he does and values the customers that come in. Quality goods, friendly atmosphere, would 100% recommend. The option for a custom hat was also one of a kind in the area.

This place was the most amazing spot I’ve ever been to from the second I walked in and to the second I walked out. The owners were the nicest, fun and most amazing people I have ever met. I could have spent hours in the store purchasing items from the couple who run the store themselves. They even made it more personal by calling us their new family members and we all shared a shot of whiskey in the store with a background story. I will continue going back into this store over and over again because they made my experience so memorable and fun. Definitely worth the stop in, and the products they make are amazing!

The products are unique, were customized, and the people we bought gifts for, really enjoy them. We accidentally happened upon this shop while walking around Whitefish, MT. We couldnt have been more pleasantly surprised. We were immediately greeted by the owner, Randy in which he shared a few details on his products. Everything in his shop is handmade, and it shows. We ended up buying several items, including hats. Those things are beautiful and are one-of-a-kind. We wear ours out all the time and have yet to see another one like it anywhere. Id highly recommend you stop in Axehead if youre in the area. These people are a class act.

We were just wandering around town going in and out of shops and happened to stumble upon Axehead. So glad we did! Such cool stuff in here. I ended up doing a custom hat and had it made right there on the spot. Randy and Trina were so welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

Randy is awesome and created a way to let customers make their own customized Montana wear. We bought two hats with custom patches and tags and it’s what we had been looking for that other shops didn’t come close to.Definitely recommend!

We loved Randy and Trina! They were so pleasant and knowledgeable. Plus they seem like a blast to hang out with! Sad we didn’t make it back from our hike in time to visit Axehead again.

My wife and I were walking around Whitefish and came across Axehead, so glad we decided to go in. This was by far one of our favorite stores we visited. Trina was a blast and so welcoming. I was really looking forward to shopping in your store today. You have a really unique inventory. However, no signs anywhere requesting customers to wear a mask or hand sanitizer station set up. No one, but myself was wearing a mask in your store. Not the owner nor the other customers shopping. If someone has a medical condition that prohibits them from wearing a mask, I would think one would want everyone entering your store to have a mask on to protect yourself from getting sick. Very disappointed. Did not feel safe and will take my business elsewhere.

I absolutely loved everything in this store and for a custom hat with a Great design. Randy was literally the best and we enjoyed some whiskey after shopping. Thanks for an excellent experience!

Axehead is a beautiful store with beautiful items that are handcrafted by the owners themselves. I bought a beautiful hat and my husband bought a beard rake. Both items are made to last. The owners are wonderful and work hard to share items made in the US. Nothing is made in China!

I’m an avid shopper. I’ve been to so many tourist shops I’ve lost track. I’ve gone to hundreds of craft fairs, farmers markets and I’ve browsed countless Etsy listings. These people blow it out of the water. They lured me in with their unique goods but made sure I’ll come back with how downright friendly they were. We brought in 3 kids because when you have 3 kids on vacation with you, well they come along. They were so kind to all of us, including the toddler (mind you they sold lots of glassware too 😩.) We all walked away with custom hats that reflected our personalities - and we will certainly be back for more.

Randy is super friendly! My wife and I enjoyed looking around his shop and got a few items to take away from our travels.

Looked like a bunch of cool stuff, but I would have to say the quality is sub-par. We bought a bottle opener made of wood/steel with the outline of MT on it. Looks great... however upon opening the first beer, the steel bent like a wet noodle. I called to voice my concern, gave them my details, and was told they would make it right. That was almost 2 months ago. Not the end of the world since Ive got other openers (so I wont die of thirst), but I wont be back. A disappointing experience.Update Jan 2020: 5 months after my review I see the owner has finally responded claiming Ive been sent a replacement, but Ive never received anything. Im dubious...
