Christina in Guest services was amazing! She was very prompt to assist me. I went and found the items I needed to exchange for some other items I bought, and she went above and beyond to make sure it was done accurately and quickly. I was a penny off, and she had found a penny on the ground and she gave that to me so I didn’t have to go out to my car. 1st class service! Thanks Christina and Menards for hiring great individuals.

Will never go back to this store againWhich makes me sad because it has always been my go to place an i spend several thousand a year here.Went into the store this evening to buy lumber. Only needed 5 boards. Not a hard order 4 1x12 10 ft long an 1 1x10 10ft long. You would think that would be easy. Wrong!!!. The people working in the lumber section were not even able to figure out how to ring up the boards. Even after the other guy told them how.(but he didnt offer to do) they were still unable to do. So then when my husband said something to them they just thought the whole thing was just funny and did nothing but laugh at him. That was sooooooo rude and very unprofessional. I know it is hard to find competent help these days. But no help is better then the two young men working lumber tonight.

Ordered a left drain tub to pickup at west Wichita store. Picked up the tub and the box was labeled left hand, but it was an open box. Got home and realized it is a RIGHT drain. Normally not too big of a deal to return things, but had to borrow a friends pickup to get it and I live 15 miles away. Talked to store manager and they will not do anything except exchange the tub. Their mistake, yet I am the one that has to deal with it. Will not shop this store ever again.

Good selection of items throughout the store reasonably priced as well, friendly and very courteous employees at front, on the floor, and checkout.

Customer service at this place is beyond ridiculous. I was told by their security team they flat out do not care about their customers. This holds true and found out first hand today. If you ever call their cooperate office and talk to a guy named Cody you will realize real quick how Menards thinks of a customer.

Shopped for lighting items. I like that they have a large lighting dept, and it is very conveniently located close to the entrance. Menards is definitely my go to store for lighting.

Absolutely no assistance from any employer. I even asked for help in the electrical section. I will not be returning to this company. Absolutely no excuse for not getting assistance.

Showed up for a pick up order. Pulled around back, gave them the paperwork. They didnt even wheel our stuff out side. And then I had to get out and load it all ourselves. The crew was definitely not friendly. Was told by the gate attendant that some of my order could be picked up outside as well. Boy was he wrong. Training needs to be better as well as communication. Wheres the integrity?

Go in looking for a fire extinguisher and stopped at the front courtesy desk to see if they have them and where at. Her response Yea, we have them. Theyd be where the fire safety stuff would be. I said, Thanks for clarifying because I thought theyd be next to the milk, eggs, and cheese. She replies Sir, we dont have milk, eggs, and cheese.

Had a great experience at the building supply desk. I also visited the paint department to get some samples and all the help I needed! Final check-out was easy and fast.

Bait and Switch sign says 30 percent off guess what not on this Minion Decoration Fraud plain and simple Employe says it was on Sale but it rang up regular price Manager said it was not a Christmas Decoration Lol It is Minion holding a Candy Cane Menards is Using Bait and Switch pretty obvious well they just lost 1000s of dollars on the Future purchases from me. RIDICULOUS

LOVE Menards! Weve gotten a water heater, water softener, flooring, and kitchen hardware from there so far. Great place for home supplies and even simple things like Trail Mix! ❤️

The customer service at this location has consistently been excellent. Very helpful and courteous. The store itself is very well kept, clean and organized. Easy access and plenty of parking.

Placed order for curbside pickup. Had a spine procedure, I have a minimize movement. Called and placed on hold...no one ever answered. Went in store, ignored by TWO employees. They answered a question to someone who came in after me. I guess it takes TWO employees to answer a question. Had to finally ask if they were going to help me. Told by employee, Yeah thats why we are coming your way.Rude and inconsiderate

Friendly people they will assist you if you need it. They most generally have what you need if they dont have it they will try to direct you where you can go get it .

A typical home store. Decent selection of goods. One thing I wanted was a trash container for yard cleanup. Found a nice one but couldnt buy it because no lids for it couldnt be found. I was told they had likely all been thrown out. (Huh?) AND they really need to have more employees on the floor. You have to really search to find someone to help you. Once found the employees are very helpful.

They werent able to help me with all that I needed but they were extremely friendly and did help find an alternative solution to my problem. I was very pleased with the service I got there.

If only I could give negative reviews. Masks Nazis who chased us out of the store, did not apply their policy fairly, i.e. others around us without masks, while refusing me a refund of over $600 and calling police within 20 seconds of our encounter with Justin Foster, the General manager, who we caught in multiple lies which we have on video. Menards has lost quite a few customers in my family for life over this. Ive spent many thousands at Menards, just this year on a home remodel. Im sickened to think that theyd be willing to give me and my friend who drove his car 1.5 hrs to help me pick up cabinetry, trespassing notices through Wichita PD. I gladly accepted it, as you could NEVER pay me to return here! And after reading what theyve done to other customers, very similar belligerent outbursts from staff over masks, Im proud of my refusal to just leave without my money, as the lying general manager ordered me to do. Oh, and according to their own asinine policy, I could have just carried my 12yr old son or put him in a cart?? WTH?! Was never offered that or curbside pickup. Nope! Just ordered to leave while Justin called police and Im clearly stating I want a refund in one of the videos we have. Also....went just down the street and got the exact same cabinetry for cheaper in stock and was treated respectfully. Three employees laughed and were in utter shock that they trespassed us at Menards. What a joke!

I changed my rating to this, due to the fact my wife has heart issues, and we were ordered out of the store, back in plumbing area, by a large, and very rude female, for my wife pulling her mask down briefly to catch her breathe! I understand the whole mask thing, but I did NOT as appreciate her behavior and horrible attitude! Dont worry, we WONT bother you or spend a penny again @ the store anymore West side of Wichita, or any of your locations! I will tell whomever I can about this, and enlighten them as to your employees behavior! Very good to know though! I am a service technician, and I service ALOT around town! FYI!

Got in the front entrance, past several employees, loaded our cart with 9 bags of lawn material. When we made it to checkout, we were told that the checkout process would not be completed until my wife went outside because she did not have a mask. Fully vaccinated.

The security guard at the front door is a joke. He let 4 people in without a mask and refuse me cause he felt like it. If one has to wear a mask why not everyone. I guess he picks and chooses who he likes. Never come to this store agian. Home depot will get my familys business for now on

First, I have to point out this is the first negative review I have ever posted or made.In my entire life I have never been treated as poorly as I have on multiple occasions by the Wichita West Menards staff, I cannot recall ever having an experience where I have had to have a next level manager involved in a retail store other than at Menards Wichita West. And it has happened three times here in the last year. Enough is enough, so I am writing this review to draw attention to it.I am an educated, honest, hardworking husband and father, and not some outraged monster, felt that needed clarified prior to digging into my review.I honestly wish there was a zero star rating to share how poorly the staff treats their customer base at the Wichita West Menards.They commonly have pricing errors and refuse to honor them, I have been told multiple times, “we are allowed to make understandable errors”.The staff is not customer friendly, I truly feel like a burden when I have asked for help from them.The Manager Mike is simply annoyed when engaged. The employees go directly to the extreme and threaten to call the police rather than trying to resolve issues.I have been refused service three times at this location.Once with a pricing issue on a $10 LED WIFI light bulb, the sign was left from a previous sale that had ended, and they offered a 10% discount and refused to honor the $5 price on the sign. When I refused, and insisted they honor their price posted. The lady at the customer service center (no name tag) was called over. She simply said, “sorry we’ve offered a discount, you can either take it or not”. When I refused, she interrupted me and told me that she wasn’t going to allow me to purchase anything and I could either leave or she would call the police. Couldn’t believe it.Once after pulling my mask down to take a call in the check out line. Literally had my items taken from me by the cashier and told to leave.I asked to speak with the manager, Mike came to the front and it was obvious from the second we met that the conversation would go no where, and he had no intention of working with me, he simply wanted me to leave so he could go back to what he was doing. Sad!Once because they had a pricing error in the checkout isle, when I refused to accept the explanation “I can’t honor that price” the Assistant Store Manager Brandon was called. Brandon actually told me that I was disrupting his store and threatened to have me trespassed by the police if I didn’t leave immediately. Wow!I can’t imagine making any kind of a sizable purchase here and expecting any level of service after the sale.It is sad, Menards has some great deals on things, too bad the caliber of their staff at this location can’t be better.I won’t be awarding this store with my hard earned dollars anymore.

Mask crazy, let some in without and refused me when I didnt have one on. So I guess they just choose who they want to wear masks.Staff also isnt helpful and messed up my delivery. Went back to the store to swap out items for the right thing. I grabbed some other things while I was there and noticed that the cashier didnt give me one of my items! Will not be doing business here again.

Enjoy this store very much. It is always clean and tidy. Hardly any issues of times out of stock. I visit other big box hardware stores and often times their bin have the wrong items in the bins and therefore are out of what I actually need. Just wish there was an additional store on the south side of town as well.

It was great. Staff was very helpful. Was looking for several different items in the store and was not having much luck. Talked with 4 different employees and they went out of their way to find what l was looking for, and the young lady at the lumber check out spent several minutes looking up crown molding and finely found it, got it ordered for me. This was the first time in the Maize store. It is a longer drive, but the staff made it very pleasant. I will go back.

Got a great deal on a new Maytag dishwasher this afternoon, and a couple of hours later, its out with the old and in with the new. Were doing the dinner dishes with our new washer!The bonus:We saved about $60 over Lowes and Home Depot after the Menards 11% rebate, PLUS... It was in stock! We didnt have to wait from 10 days to 3 weeks like the other stores!Happy wife... happy life!

Went in looking for a hot water tank, found what we wanted asked for help to load on a a cart and waited.... And waited... Then waited longer... ended up putting it on a cart myself, just as I did help came to help push back on the cart. Checked out and asked for help to put in truck young last came out and we put it up on the truck and we were gone. Four start for the young lady that help. ZERO for the guy in the department.

Pros who know dont buy doors or power tools here. Lumber and other building materials are okay.

Sure do like Menards. They do lots very well; but absolutely can not standT H E 11% R A C K E T.As a result, we just visit 5X less. The 11% aggravation is compounded by not sending us the rebate(s) we took the time to fill out & send in & what - now expect us to take more time again to grab documentation & go complain? Before the eleven %, it seems like many comparable items are priced 2-5% higher than L & HD (though some are less). When we want something, we either want to go get it now or if its a big ticket item were going to shop. When we did the comparisons on a big ticket item, we would rather pay a little more somewhere else than risk it with rebate. As a result, we mostly enjoy checking out Menards when L or HD are out or dont have what we are looking for.Do like many of the offerings in this humongous store and when we do go; usually buy additional things we didnt come for.Menards knows the rebates for most smaller purchases will never be submitted. Is that not aggravating?Got a go now - to go online, print rebate form, fill it out, scan it with receipts, put it in my envelope with my stamp, address it & put it in the mail & then wonder if well ever get $17 for no telling how long. Its a time-suck racket for sure, but this time, they got us again ;-)

We had to load our own lumber, my husband has health issues and still had to load heavy treated lumber from up high.Just disgust

Mask mandates are over in the state, county and city but that isn’t good enough for Menards. Don’t expect me to darken your doorway again.

In an all but empty store at 7:30AM, the Menards Mask Police called security (I guess) on her handy-talkie & followed me almost to the checkout lane exit. Lowes & Home Depot could care less whether I wear a mask or not. More shopping with them now. Ill forget Menards.

Better than Lowes

I have been very disappointed with this place lately. They no longer have mask signs posted but if you walk around with your mask not on or not on to their standards they will follow you around the store and harass you the entire time. I felt extremely uncomfortable and being alone I was starting to feel threatened being followed by men larger than me.

Clean and well stocked. Isles are wide. It is hard to find someone to help you, but once you find them they are friendly and helpful

I love Menards. They enforce their mask policy (which almost nobody does.) I can get a lot of my groceries there, too, so why go to Walmart or Dillons where nobody wears masks?

They pretty much have everything I ever need.

I like the Menards on Maize Road. The store is clean, and shelves are well organized, making it easy to find what you need. I praise the employees for caring about me, and wearing masks. Nice job. Plus 11% discount is in force again. Very nice. Yo Yo 👍

Wasnt very happy at all.went to exchange a battery that was 4 months old.they have free replacement the first 6 months, but there were none in stock.so I got an in store credit,no battery and now I have to go buy a battery some were else and Im stuck with an in store credit I dont need.

Customer service at this store is an absolute joke. The mask police need to find a new job, thank god for Lowe’s down the street.

It is a self serve lumber yard, the layout isnt the most user friendly. Looking for 4 x 6 x 8, found the 10 12 and the 14 long ones, but not the 8 ft. There was a sign for the 8 ft ones. Finally I found an employee and he told me to go outside and to the right about 150 to 200 feet (dah that was the next place I was going to look)???. One nice thing is you get to go through and pick your lumber out, so you get the best pieces of lumber. Good prices, friendly helpfull staff.

Shirt, shoes, and mask required. Our county lifted the mask mandate several weeks ago, yet they want to force everyone to wear a mask. What country do we live in? Ill take my business elsewhere and wont return.

I have come to prefer Menards over Home depot and Lowes for most construction and remodeling needs. They always have what I need, and prices and service are good.

None of the employees know where anything is at...i talked to 6 people. They all said if it not in this aisle, we dont have it... I found one of what i what i was looking for and it was in the wrong place...the lady scanned the bar code and still couldnt find the correct place it was supposed to be at...i needed 3, her response was, i just dont know where they are at so, i bought the one fence attachment...that i found! I left still needed 2 more...6 people couldnt help... Theyre a joke

Was asked to leave because i wouldnt wear a mask. Employees literally ran me down and stopped me in the store and told me i couldnt check out unless i wore a mask, i refused and they said they would have the police forcibly remove me. Went to Home Depot and purchased my stuff there, they were helpful and kind, cant say that about the people at menards.

Too bad one experience is all it takes before I stop going there. Recently purchased a $550 vanity and it needed to be ordered since they didnt stock it (had a floor model for it). After realizing it didnt meet the ADA requirements my wife called to cancel it. They said they could do it but it would take a manager to do it the next day. Well apparently the manager didnt cancel it in time and didnt tell us about it. We went in person to make sure it went through and they said it didnt and we would have to pay a restocking fee of 25%, so $138 restock fee. I talked to the plumbing manager and some other manager, all they said was they were sorry. Asked me if I could use it for something else. If they want to charge that much, they need to make sure when ordering they tell the person its that big of a fee. Its in fine print on the receipt. Theyve lost a very loyal customer.

I am from Louisiana and me my husband was in the store for a hour waiting on someone to helps us than when I went to ask for help the third time they told me I needed to get out the store cause I didn’t have a mask on!!! After being there for an hr asked two employees for help I was told we needed to get out after the third one!! And after she told me to get out not even 30 seconds later tryna find a exist she went tell the manger,I guess, she told us to get out and he came over there and asked the same question and when I told them we were leaving he looked at the other employee and laughed!!! CHILDISH WOULDNT RECOMMEND GOING THERE!! YOU HAVE A RIGHT NOT TO WEAR A MASK AND I WILL NOT WEAR A MASK BUT THEY DIDNT HAVE TO BE RUDE AND GOSSIP ABOUT IT!!

Paint lid came off when i walked in the door, paint all over my carpet, my shoes, my clothes and groceries. I have many more pics. Manager said this Thank you for the pictures. I will also need a picture of the receipt that shows cashiers name along with the the date and time. Unfortunately I can not really do anything here at the store, but I can send this up to our insurance company and they will contact you NO APOLOGY WOW.

To be clear up front. I really like this store. The inventory is extensive, and no other Home Services store comes close to the quality of service I constantly encounter with the floor people. I hit saturation however on this last visit when I walked into the mens room and was struck by how poorly maintain the entire facility presents. The caulking around the sink and wall area, the splash wall under the very underpowered hot air hand dryers, the corroded conditions of the plumbing, all look like they have been installed or maintained buy very inexperienced or uncaring people. Compared to the rest of the store, the mens room looks like something from a third-rate saloon.
