I had a resistor go bad in a cable for a piece of my equipment today. Instead of ordering a new cable I thought I would replace it myself. I called all over looking for anyone that carried 1K resistors ( I didnt know the wattage but well get to that ). Every electrical supply I talked to said to call Wallco. I finally did and whoever it was that was working (1 October 2020 @ approximately 9:20AM) obviously needs a lesson in customer service. When I asked if they had 1K resistors she said she would check but needed to know what wattage I needed. Because I pulled it out of a piece of equipment and not a package I didnt know. She informed me I could google the colored bands to see what wattage it is. Now Im no electrician but the colored bands dont tell wattage. The size of the resistor could if I had a caliper (which I dont). She was obviously frustrated because I was apparently wasting her time as I was trying to figure this out. Just absolutely rude and didnt even try to hide it. I would have driven out there and brought the old one to compare sizes but they obviously dont need my business. It was so blatantly rude how she handled this phone call that I ordered a variety pack from Amazon that I have to wait a day for and paid more for, but Im content because Id rather pay Amazon $10 for extra stuff I dont need than give this company the few cents it would have cost for the specific piece I needed. Sorry you hate your job maam, maybe its time to look for another line of work, like one where you dont need to deal with customers...........
