First of all the staff I was in contact with such as Jodi, Billy and Greg were very pleasant, courteous and professional. I had taken my Toyota Highlander to Casey Toyota for a battery drain problem and after 2 visits they couldnt figure it out. I thought I would try American Pride b4 I threw in the towel. Told the Service Manager Billy to keep the vehicle as long as needed and due to his diligence and expertise he found the reason to my unusual battery drain issue and made the repairs to resolve my ongoing frustration with the battery always dying. By them going that extra mile to locate the problem made me a fan of American Pride. Great Job all !!!!

In an emergency situation of my car about to cut off, I barely made it into American Pride Automotives parking lot. Despite the business about to close for the day, we were shown every courtesy without being rushed. Quite appreciative of staff helping us at such a late time of day we were told, Thats what we do. Indeed, that is what this business does which is to be extremely cordial and helpful to their customers. We were informed on a regular basis the status of the car. We were given an informative text including actual photos of the issues with our vehicle. The whole staff had nothing more than a friendly, cordial demeanor as well as thoroughly informative. We would definitely make this our regular service center for our cars in future.

Totally took advantage of the fact that I dont know much about cars. I took my car in for an annual vehicle inspection back in February and was told my car failed due to a leaking exhaust manifold gasket. I cant remember the exact number since it was a while ago, but I believe I was quoted around $600 to fix it. Due to scheduling conflict, I ended up taking my car to be fixed at the Ford Dealership (CMA Ford in Williamsburg), where they tested the exhaust system before doing any work (because the tech I spoke with said he has never heard of a leaking exhaust manifold gasket in a Ford Explorer, which is the car I have) and found no leaks. I almost paid $600 for nothing at American Pride Automotive. What a scam. I will never take my car there again.

They were very quick in repairing my truck. And the lady I spoke to over the phone has to be the nicest auto shop representative I’ve ever met. Patient and easy to understand.

I swooped in close to closing in a crisis situation. I was traveling solo with my son when I ran into major engine trouble and practically pushed the minivan into their parking lot. Jodi and the service staff went above and beyond to fit us in, make sure we were safe and comfortable, and got us up and running within an hour. I couldn’t be more grateful.

Visiting Williamsburg for a four day weekend and front left wheel bearing went out. Wasn’t sure I’d make it to their garage before the wheel fell off. I had Scheduled an appointment for State Inspection and Oil Change. I wound up scheduling it for the wrong location (there are 3 in the area), but the staff was wonderful, the technician was thorough, and they were even able to immediately address an issue found during the state inspection. Brought in my car for an inspection, which was done within the day. However, they left paint marks on my cars interior and tried to upsell me on a bunch of fluid changes that I had had done just a few weeks prior as part of regular maintenance. I only recommend this place for inspection, and Id get a second opinion on anything else.

This is the second time we have taken our 2009 Audi A4 S cab into APA for specialized auto service. Each time we have found APA to be professional, organized, and with a quality- centric culture. .I especially like the auto inspection analysis summary they produce of the vehicle’s needs in order of criticality & service. I dont usually review places but I felt like this place deserved it. I dont know much about cars but by the end of my time dealing with them I knew exactly what they were doing and the exact price of how much everything was gonna be. No games no funny business extremely helpful and very fast. Couldnt ask for anything better.

I like to work on my own vehicles whenever possible, but when I havent had the time or the tools, the techs at American Pride (Williamsburg Location) have performed State Inspections on both of our family vehicles and numerous repairs from minor (fluid changes) to complicated (head-gaskets) all the way to complex diagnostic work (ultimately requiring a replacement engine computer). The work is always done well, always complete when they say it will be done, and at the price they quote...one time, even *below* the quote. To top it off, Ive always been treated well by a consistently professional staff. Two thumbs up.

I am out of town on vacation with a car issue....ugh....and these guys are ON the ball! They emailed me back quickly for a next day appointment, put me on text notice for updates, arranged for an uber back to the condo. If I couldve, Id have just stayed put and enjoyed the ambience, refrigerated complimentary drinks, lovely and doctors office clean waiting area with comfortable chairs and television and/or front porch with Adirondack chairs. They even took the number to call my mechanic back home to get up to speed on my car! I think Ill come back JUST to visit this place! A HUGE shout out!

The staff was friendly, and delivered on expectations and exceeded them. The repairs on my vehicle werent the cheapest, but they were still price competitive and far better than a dealership service center- and with far more accountability and transparency on pricing and labor. Additionally, they beat the timeline of repairs they had provided. I will be taking my vehicle back here when I need the break pads replaced in a few months, and for any other repairs I may need.

We bring all our cars and trucks to American Pride. There are 4 of us in our family that drive and everybody has their own vehicle. Maintenance is very important to us because all of our vehicles are older and keeping them in good working order is a necessity. We have always received excellent service at a fair price from American Pride. Initially the reason I wanted to use them is because of their support of the military. I read about their service day where they provide service to people in the military which is supported and paid for by other local businesses but the labor is provided by American Pride. That was an idea that I could get behind. Also when we have needed to purchase a car we always bring the car to American Pride to be looked at in advance of us purchasing the car. They charge a reasonable fee to go through the entire vehicle and look for any red flags.If your family is anything like our family and you need to have a dependable reliable vehicle its important to do your maintenance. When my car broke down on the way home from my parents house, I was panicked- I knew no one who lived near Williamsburg and was hours away from my destination. Fortunately, I found American Pride Automotive! Greg and his team are incredible- I came in at 10 am and they provided the (multiple) repairs needed for me to be back on the road by 3 pm. Now my car is running better than ever! Valerie and Conner at the front desk were incredibly sweet, funny and accommodating. Having your car break down is not usually a positive experience, but they made it as painless, easy and (dare I say) fun as possible! I only wish I lived closer so they could be my regular mechanics! I got a State Inspection here. The front desk workers were helpful and friendly. I was seen right away and the wait time was reasonable. They have a great wait area, particularly the front porch is well maintained and a nice way to wait on your vehicle. I’d suggest scheduling your service online since they get quite busy.

Ive been taking mine and my wifes cars here exclusively for about 2 years and am always impressed with the service they provide. I try to do as much work on my Jeep myself that I can, but theres been multiple times where I needed a diagnostic or just wasnt able to do it, and theyve always served me well! One of my favorite things they do is thoroughly document the car with pictures and notes, then at the end share a custom link to see all of the information they compiled for your problem, as well as other potential issues to look out for in the future.

The fellas were able to get me in in such short notice and accomplished all I needed after Meineke Car care misquoted me price wise (quoted $80 charged $200) and misquoted me time wise (quoted 45 mins-1 hour took 4 hours). Seldom do I post reviews; however, after my recent experience with American Pride I felt the need to recognize the exceptional customer service I received from the team. For well over the past 5 years I had been taking my vehicles to another shop here in the Williamsburg area that always did a great job until recently being bought by a National chain that clearly gave an edict to drive margin, unfortunately at the expense of customer service or even ethics. Tired of dealing with repeated attempts of being upsold at every opportunity and price gouged for the service I did need I started my search for a shop where customer service along with a mindset of doing what is right for the customer existed. This search lead me to American Pride and over the last 6 months while having nothing but great experiences, my needs have been relatively straightforward consisting of normal maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, state inspections and the such. That was up until my most recent visit where I needed a few routine maintenance items completed but more importantly have been dealing with what could be a fairly significant transmission issue. American Pride had the opportunity to rack up a huge service bill at my expense since I need to diagnose the problem and get it corrected as soon as possible. However, rather than seizing this opportunity at my expense, the way they handled the situation by researching the issue before doing any work, the providing suggestions to reach out the dealer first, as well as being transparent about what they could do but also suggesting alternatives for how I could save money, they not only have captured a new customer for life but they also instilled a level of trust and confidence that down the road when future issues come up and they suggest ways to address them, I’ll be at ease rather than wondering if I’m being taken to the cleaners.Well done American Pride! American Pride & Charlie were fantastic. I turned up on spec on Monday morning needing an oil change & an A/C belt replacement for our unique right-hand drive Japanese Hiace diesel camper van (were on a 12,000 mile round the continent road-trip from Vancouver, Canada) and everything was finished later that day. They completed the state inspection in 20 minutes and cost me $20 while I was waiting. Make sure you arrange an appointment before time. They are really good at communicating with me to set up the ‘waiting’ appointment.

Called about replacing a starter for my car and they wanted to charge me $305 for the part alone. The part at auto zone costs $130. If they will scam me for something that small they will do it for anything. Recommend looking around for more honest and fair businesses unless you want to spend 2 times more money.

I decided to give them a try after three terrible experiences with Williamsburg Chrysler. Honestly this was the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Greg (service writer) was very knowledgeable and honest. Tyler (technician) did a great job with my Jeep and everything he touched was left cleaner than when I brought it in. I have an old car and went in to American Pride mostly for 3 things. One they did, one they said was not necessary and one they referred me to a tire store. There were a couple of other things that they recommended but did not pressure me into doing. In fact they were up front about what was important and what could wait. So refreshing to have thorough but honest automotive service. I highly recommend this business.

We were in from out of town two days before Christmas... easy pickin’s for some but not American Pride. They found the solution for our defect and it was quick and inexpensive. Nice people too. Ive come here for years. I am not sure how they compare price wise but I come here for the service. The people are amazing- professional, courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. They always give me a very easy to understand breakdown of all that is going on with my cars while also giving a very good assessment of what needs to be done now and what I can wait on. American pride did the virginia inspection on my car. They were very well organized and professional. In the waiting room there was an older person whose car would need more than a day to repair and the next day she was planning on driving somewhere a couple of hours away for thanks giving. They explained her car situation and then helped her rent a car and then drove her to the car rental place where they had found a rental car for her. That kind of service is exceptional. American pride gets five stars from me for their service and humanity.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! First called to see if I can make an appointment for a state inspection, and thought I wasn’t gonna be able to get it on the last day of the month but they made time and was able to get it done.
