We always love shopping here. We havent been going as often though because we always end up having to go to the bathroom and the bathrooms had been closed. But now they are open again. Yay! (But they were out of toilet paper. But thankfully we carry our own backup.)
My wife picked up heavy doors from Habitat. The guy who helped her was not very safe and had her hold the dolly as he balanced it with his foot instead of calling one of the many staff to help him. And she reported that he was very curt with her because she couldnt move it quickly. Very disappointing.
The personnel are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bins and shelves are consistently restocked. Prices for the items are marked very fairly. Super furniture inventory.I live in Matthew County and feel it is worth the time and fuel costs to make the journey.
They usually have what Im looking for. My mission was to get a stand up pole light, which their was one for 10 bucks, big score. Everything is well organized, tidy, and clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable as to the location of where things are in the store if they were to have it.The staff is always willing to assist you with loading your items in your vehicle. I believe Williamsburg Re-Store has the better quality items. If you havent been, you should really check it out, you can save quite a bit of $$$$5 star operation.
Great place to find antiques, books, records and furniture. Well organized and good prices.
These Habitat for Humanity are great for what they do for current and future home owners. You get to buy items at a lower price and that money help build homes for those of special needs and less fortunate, the items I brought today will be replacing the old light switches in my dads house for a little of nothing thanks to these stores. I will return and they gave me a military discount as well
Lots of great finds! There is so much it can be overwhelming! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I purchased some brand new spray paint and curtains! Definitely recommend.
The manager Gary, most helpful. The rest of the staff was as well. We have and will continue to purchase great finds at this store!
Very good prices and vast variety of things to see
Bes place to fine dorm room furniture for your kids going off to college.
Ill give it a one out of five electronic receivers and it said it was all checked out and it wasnt the functions working on it but one
Every visit is a treasure hunt. Sometimes you find something, other times not. The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful. Love helping this non profit provide housing for those who might never own their own homes otherwise.
I love this store! It has a massive inventory with a wide variety of unique items. Office/mancave fridges for 70.00, 800 count sheets for 25.00....etc. For anyone looking to furnish a house/apartment for a low cost this is the place to go. Hard wood furniture and alot of high quality pieces that would sale for 3-4x what they are asking for.
Great!! Found more than we were looking for. Great prices, cool stuff, worth the trip.
They always have something for everyone!
Lots of great bargains. Even free items for those who are very thrifty.
Great place with great prices. Content changes frequently. Occasionally free items (sippy cups, chairs, crutches, etc.). Can often find higher quality antiques. Discounts on certain days of the week--ask. Best place around to get a piano for $50.
Possibilities endless. Fun place
Very large store with a wide variety of goods. Would be a great place to find all kinds of household goods.
Great asset to the community. Carrying a bit more bulk new pff-shore items than they used to and less building materials and hardware, but its still a fun place to browse.
I really enjoy ReStore, Ive bought items ranging from electronics to automotive, to my surprise found the exact car parts that was needed for my vehicle. Some items are priced rite and others maybe a little off but for most part great store.
Please explain why the bathroom is closed? Some people have medical issues and catching Covid from a toilet seat is nil. Washing hands and cleaning bathrooms is the norm for most everyone. Using Covid as an excuse to not clean bathrooms is just plan horrible for those who need them in a moment. Just sell me something and take my money but don’t be bothered by customer service.
Great store Except their customers restroom is Closed Due to Covid on October 23, 2020. There solution is for their customers to use a neighboring businesses restroom. Ive been traveling in three states in the last few days and have found No other open business having Closed Restrooms
A lot of great finds, everything from electronics to furniture to diy home products.
Largest Restore Ive seen. About 3 storefronts wide in mall. Lots of stuff. Lots of new items. Got new mirrors for bathroom vanity for $19. Other stuff seemed priced reasonably. Staff were friendly.
Lucked out big time. Good pricing and nice people.
Had items for what I needed and more.
Good people helping the community. Many fun things to browse. Good news bad need, it was busier than I expected.
A lot of gems here and the staff was very kind and friendly. Look here first if you need anything for your home and your next project for your home.
Great finds here. I Always find something here to buy.
Theres always something good to buy there
Great prices and quality products that exceed expectations.
I dont think the donations are coming in like they used to. Everything seemed to be in short supply. Still a good place to shop. People are friendly and helpful.
Nice and clean and organized. Love the DVDS for a dollar
Whoever the manager is a somethings extremely expensive in plus asking more money to deliver the product in economic use their people
I can always find something to buy! Even if it is just notebooks for my genealogy. 😊
One mans treasure, is often found in a good thrift store, and this ReStore is very good. Worth a visit, and a look around.
Very friendly staff! Stuff cycles through very quickly and prices are a steal!
This store is huge and has such a selection to choose from.
Do you take donations?
Very big area, fast turn over, extremely well used location, helpful, friendly
Always an interesting visit...you never know what youll discover...gotta know your products because the pricing isnt always a bargain..
Great, got a number of rare tools at excellent prices
Terrible experience, there were no women present in the store, working or shopping. Misogyny knows no bounds.
Always check here before you buy any furniture. Great prices
I call today for items I wanted they had a sold sign on them so no one else could purchase THANK YOU RESTORE....
I got my dream vintage, throw back, audio file speakers here. There are gems and treasures here. As well . Thanks for providing great service.👍
Marked down for the holidays thirty percent.good deals.
This is my happy place, always great help provided and amazing items you will never find anywhere else but here.
Fantastic selection, very reasonable prices, very well maintained for a thrift store.
Love this store! Visit everytime Im in Williamsburg!!!
Great selection and helpful staff!
So many neat, reasonably-priced items.
I have found so many great treasures in this store. Etc.. 500.00 bike for 35.00 a vase worth over 2000.00 for 5.00. Must visit on a daily basis, to find that rare find. But most of this stuff is other people junk like harry home owner stuff.
Lots of stuff, good prices and bigger store for more stuff.
Very helpful and much larger on the inside than it looks like on the outside. Has everything. Last year got nine books on sale for 48 cents! What more can you say!?!?!
Always a great place to find household goods. Recently expanded, the store has doubled in size with even more home renovation supplies.
I love this place
Lots of stuff to see. Love to go there
This store is really what you make it for your self. Personally I bought two 9x10 and three 9x7 solid wood frames to redo them for my art. I also bought a glass cake plate to use for condiments and paid less than $10. My opinion is that they price from one extreme to the other therefore you have to be a smart shopper. It’s a huge store. Treasure hunting. In response to the store the pictures were taken in the store in Williamsburg not Newport News.
Beautiful pieces and very helpful staff.
Best place Ive ever shopped at, hands down. I moved across country and had nothing in my apartment except a bed and a foldable TV dinner stand. My coworker told me about this place and its been life changing! Transitioning from being a full-time student to an adult working two jobs, I didnt have money to buy new furniture and houseware. I filled my apartment with great artwork pieces, picture frames for family photos, kitchenware, glassware, baskets for storage, hangers, a basic IKEA desk, lamps, a bathroom mat, pots for my plants, and even got an Eddie Bauer bag for $4! Theyre currently selling 10 books for a $1, so Ive been going ham on that! I also volunteered for a bit here, too which was really wonderful. Definitely support this business! Cant go wrong here with the friendly staff and great finds.
They now send out all the good stuff from Williamsburg out to Newport News. This is now a real dump.
They got all sorts of cool stuff real cheap and they always check it to make sure it works. They even have outlets so you can check it yourself. The employees are nice and helpful, and will always ask if you need help bringing big stuff out. As soon as I move out, I will be spending a lot of time here.
This place is huge! Pretty good pricing, not outrageous. I wish I had a place for everything I wanted😒 It was a bit of a miss on the kitchen cabinet selection...but they get what they get. Bonus...the guy I think was the manager looked a bit like Paul Rudd...not complaining one bit on that😉, he was very helpful.
Wow love the new selection and space
The Restore is a great place to look for everything second hand. Ive bought couches, chairs, lamps, paint supplies, and kitchenware from this store. Since they do accept pretty much any donations, there is some stuff thats very run-down, or even just junk, but their great team of (mostly) volunteers keeps everything very well organized so its never overwhelming or confusing to search through it all. If you see something really good though you better buy it right away because it wont be there when you get back. They have also just partnered with the recycled paint company Green Sheen to start offering a small but fine selection of paints that range from 14-16 per gallon.
Great place, lots of things. Very clean and friendly staff. Fair prices. Tuesday 10 % off. A fun place to shop.
It was huge!! Never seen such a large selection of stuff
Everything is so overpriced! Whomever they have pricing things doesnt know what things are worth. You can buy the things cheaper at the retail store. Yes, I know they build cheaper houses for the needy. A lot of the things they are trying to sell are complete trash. If they lowered prices they would sell more of the things that can be salvaged, faster. I have been in the store 4 times and they will not negotiate the high prices. So I never buy and wont be back. Just go to Home Depot or Lowes to buy your building materials. I know Home Depot donates to charity. The restore needs to realize that most of the customers that come in there are the needy and looking for a bargain. Not, to donate extra money they dont have to their cause. They are hard working and some single mothers trying to save money on a home repair. They cannot afford to hire someone else to do the repair for their families. I wonder if the money is truly going to helping or is it lining someones pocket? I wont be back there!
People here are so helpful and kind! William and Mary students get 20% off. Thank you for my new washer and dryer :)
Good deals on just about everything. For unbelievable low prices. Thank God for places like this.
I havent found to much in here worth buying. The prices are so high that low income families avoid this place as much as possible. I have seen prices higher than retail from the manufacturers. You can buy old or used construction items a little cheaper. But, I would be afraid to cut corners on my own home or something I cared about. Buying used construction supplies can be very bad because you dont know if they have been recalled for materials or chemical dangers or defects. When they get new items they price them way to high. So unless you just want to give your money away and donate to this company. I would avoid them. They are supposed to help low income families become home owners. They have to much overhead that less families see any benefit.
I love that place
Friendly staff, clean and well organized.
I work at the office park so on my break sometimes I go look. I noticed a piece of furniture for $1,000. It shocked me that they would put such high price. Actually it’s a pricy place considering it’s a second hand store. They expended again. Now you need roller-skates. It’s full of interesting things. You can find brand new items donated from Walmart and others. Overall it’s a treasure hunt and we all like to find a treasure.
I love this place!! I can find small items for organizing, old photo frames to repurpose and tons of household items. Thanks for your hard work and your mission. I am always glad to help by shopping there!
Fabulous place. Dont miss it if youre in town. Fun treasure hunt!
I love this store!! Me and my husband go here almost every weekend for side projects decorating our house!!
Such a large store. Had great things to look through. Staff was friendly and very helpful!
Great place. Lots of good items at a fair price. Employees are very friendly and kind. Love going here
Good deal on a small childs bed. They also had Sherpa blankets for a good price. Many hidden gems.
This place has so much to look through. Washers, dryers, lighting, books, paint, various dishes, furniture and much more. Great place to go and the staff are very friendly and helpful!!
I always find something there, whether I needed it or not! And its a great cause so its a win win!
Always have rotating inventory. A great first stop before any home project.
Cheap buys!!! Good selections
Very pricy. I was amazed to see a piece selling for $1,000. I stopped donating. I work near so sometimes I take a walk to check what they’re selling. I buy frames to use for my pictures but the prices are high. I wrote to them with my concerns but no one answered. The employees are the nicest people. Let’s hope they realize their prices are high and bring them down.
Great deals lots of stuff
For ppl who say you cant beat the prices, obviously never been to any other restore or discount place. The consignment shope 2 doors down is cheaper. Restore is all free donations and the prices are insane especially on furniture. The employees are stuck up and snooty. You work in a thrift shop, you should be anything but snooty. I will never go in there again. Goodwill is nicer and cheaper. This is the worst restore i have ever been in.
Good stuff
The Habitat Restores are oprerated by Habitat for Humanity as a means to fund their homebuilding charity. They accept donations of furniture, appliances, tools, housewares, building materials, etc (but not clothing). On the sales floor, expect to find all manner of bargains on any and all of the donated goods. Merchandise is displayed in a retail store setting and priced to sell. This particular location has a large sales floor and stays very busy most days. Merchandise turns over quickly and the product mix is constantly changing, so stop in frequently if you are in the market for something particular. This is a thrift store in the truest sense, so most of the stuff is showing some wear and tear. But with their vast furniture selection and rapid turnover, there is bound to be something that meets your needs.Plenty of easy parking, credit cards accepted.
Great place too shop, staff will ask if u need help. Found a great pair of slide in shoes $3.00 So comfortable
Good stuff to upscale.
Today was the first time Ive vistited the restore since living here in Williamsburg. This place is awesome! It is definitely far more organized than other second hand stores that Ive shopped. Mike was a huge help! You can tell hes an extremely hard worker. That will be my go to place for thrifting from here on out.
Always find something Im looking for! Love to go there and shop!
Descent place have a nice stuff
Its an awesome store with wonderful people and amazing prices on everything. They have a great selection of so many things from furniture to tools to renovation items and so much more.
