Amazing service, I would recommend to come to this specific ace!

Very disappointed with the Monticello location! The prices did not match the web. The cashier Summer was rude & unprofessional. Acted as if she had something more important to be doing. Couldnt be bothered with customer service.

Not as big ad the big box stores but it often has hardware that they dont. If not they will advise you on how to get it quickly and at a lower cost. At least from my experience.

The customer service was great, and Jeff at the helpful hub helped me out immediately. Would highly recommend, everyone was very friendly and ready to assist you with whatever you may need!

Easy to find. The parking lot can be difficult to navigate. The staff can be quite rude.Disability access at this location is not the best.

Ace Hardware is absolutely wonderful. I went inside. Stopped and asked a female employee where I could fund the item I needed. She gave me Row number. It was right there. Then I went and checked out. I may have been there a total of seven minutes. Absolutely great.

Aces the place with the helpful hardware man. I have a little bit of everything here and a lot of experience. Always have staff that are willing to help and very friendly. Prices might be a little higher than your typical box store but it is worth it because of the service.

Its a great place to find what you need with very helpful people in case you cant. Ive been here a number of times and will be going again many more Im sure.

One of the VERY BEST ACE in chain. I have shopped from St. Lawrence River upstate New York south to Virginia Beach. This new location in Williamsburg is better than the old location. The selection is even better, the prices are fair compared to Big Box stores.The staff at this Ace are without equal. Crystal, Lindsey, Rich are the very Best! Helpful friendly are more important than the sale but always a sale results.

Helpful staff, very large variety of products. Order online for pickup or curbside is another option.

Very helpful staff that acts quickly to help. You can always find someone that will either answer your question or find someone more knowledgeable than yourself. While sometimes they have higher prices than big box stores, I can be in and out versus spending frustrating amounts of time wandering isles hoping to spot assistance. Their selection of fasteners, tools, and stock is incredible for their size. Renting trucks through them is also straight forward.

I believe ACE Hardware is 1 of my favorite stores ... This morning I met Phyllis who has been with ACE 49 years !!! She setup the Christmas display of which I was admiring and took a video of a life size animated Mr Grinch !!! I always get my birdseed here because the sunflower seeds are triple washed with no additives ... My sister purchased another Air Purifier AND Dehumidifier from them and another longtime employee named Rich brought them to our residence AFTER he got off work !!! I have never been disappointed in this store and they have just about everything you need ... I get my comfortable garbage bags here ... Greeting cards ... A million bird feeders and seed and ornate metal poles and garden supplies ETC ETC ... Monthly Sales AND COUPONS ... I get our ceiling air filters for the central air/heat unit ... I get the PUR water filters here ... Household products ... There is a section that carries cool things that are advertised on tv ... Candy ... Soap ... I dont have the time or space to compliment this store ... And the workers are lovely 2 ... No ... I do not own stick in this store nor are they paying me to compliment them so highly ... My sister and I have rented U-Haul there ... Keys made ... Lighting ... Paint .... Cooking grills ... Fans ... They truly have it ALL ... Shoes ... I barely touched the surface of what they carry ... No lie .... and still has that neighborhood atmosphere and workers that actually HELP YOU ... Love ACE ... Connie in beautiful Colonial Williamsburg VA

I almost always have a wonderful experience here! every once in a while theres somebody who perhaps doesnt understand their department very well and I have to figure things out for myself, for the most part theyve been absolutely awesome!

Kimberly-The-Lovely-Paint-Lady is a total angel who is always quick to step in and help me when I stop in for my weekly hardware run. I wish I knew the manager-gentlemans name, he cut some stuff for me and answered my thousand questions without any grief. As a matter of fact the entire staff there is a bunch of saints. Always direct me to the department Im looking for, always super pleasant and friendly, very knowledgeable and I just love yall. Thank you Ace.

An excellent new location for this Ace Hardware on Monticello Ave near Richmond Rd. The store is bigger, brighter and carries a wider range of products than the former. Helpful assistance is easy to come by. Prices are very reasonable considering they have nowhere near the buying power and volume of the big boxers. Highly recommend you check out the plumbing, paint and gardening depts in particular are standouts. And a full line of Big Green Eggs, Weber grills, and accessories. Plenty of free convenient parking.

Ace is aces. For this non-adept, a trip to Ace (yesterday, ) for paint samples is fun. The guys listen and offer practical solutions. And the store itself...just like the hardware store of my childhood

The key man is so nice! He is an older gentleman but really cares. I dont think he has ever made a key that had trouble turning a lock!

Both Ace Hardware stores in Williamsburg are very good. They always have people who will help you find what you want. They are friendly and helpful.

Nice store for maintenance

Staff was very helpful

First time using this store and had a horrible experience. I was recommended to come to ace hardware to fix my screen for my pets cage. When I dropped off the screen, they told me it will be done the next day. I called 2 days later wondering if my screen was finished and one of the staff members rudely told me that if they didnt call me, it is not done. They did not try and look for my product. A week went by and Never got a phone call back. I tried calling them and the man told me they would work on it the following morning and call me when it was done the next day. I waited a few more days and never got a phone call back. It has now been over a month and I still dont have my screen back.I would not recommend using this store if you need to have anything repaired. Horrible service. Who knows when I will ever get my pet screen back. I had to get a new cage because it took so long for them to finish it.

Glorious!! 10 minutes. Thats how long it took to meet today need. 9 of those minutes were me walking around like a kid in a candy store. Hi Ace Hardware employee! I need . Ace Hardware person: You mean this? (Produces exact item from the shelves as if by sorcery) I may have found my favorite retailer in all of Williamsburg. If its not sold at Ace Hardware, I probably dont need it.

Ordered items online. Called to check order status and there was no manger available until 11:30 and only they could provide order statis. Called at 11:45 and Manager of the Williamsburg store said she was trying to get herself together because she had just arrived to work because she had missed her wake up call....finally she called and I received an email that the order was ready. We arrived at the store and the manager came up to front of store and never spoke just pointed to the paper to sign. My husband noticed the box being torn in several places and told her he was concerned That it might be damaged. She pointed to there being another sitting a few aisles over. We asked for assistance in getting it loaded she pages someone ....still very rude and did not communicate. The young man that carried it out to the car and helpers load it was very polite and helpful. The manager needs some people skills definitely. Needless to say this store lost a customer forever. I would have rated it a zero if that were an option.

Cashiers are always great! Men seem irritated all the time ! Like thats what u clocked in for right! They pick and choose who to speak to and who they offer their help!

I needed 8 keys made. There was an associate immediately available and he did the job as quickly as the machine would allow.

I often make this my last stop for any hardware related searches as they are often less than enthusiastic and or attentive with the needs of customers, as it tends to conflict with their desire to stand about and converse over anything other than the customers needs.Their general condescension and arrogance pushes me to home depot often where customer service is paramount and knowledgeable experience can be found

If Ace Hardware were a doctor, you would never go anywhere else. I visit from NY State, as my mother lives here, and am frequently in need of various random parts and repairs. If my description is accurate, I walk away with what I needed.Very satisfied.

I dont understand it, because the service in the Hampton location which has the same owner is good, but both of these Williamsburg locations leave something to be desired. I had an online order for in store pickup at the other Williamsburg location go missing and never got the item nor a refund. This location told me paint samples were $5 per can and then when I got to the counter they were $6.99 per can. So at this point this store owes me something like $11, oh well.

The people are nice and helpful but their prices are consistently higher than the competition. Weber Charcoal for $20 a bag? Come on, guys.

Went looking for wall hanging hardware and some bird food, and found both! Great people willing to help me get just what I need, not too much cost or volume, just right.

Scam!!! Brought my car key to be cut and store wanted 25$ for a key (mind you a new key blank i provided.) Said it was because they couldnt guarantee the cut. Normal keys cut are just a few bucks. So you want to charge more for a key you didnt provide and a service that has no guarantee?? No thank you and wont be shopping here no longer!!The Grand opening is when the smiles ended for this store. Total rip off!! Id avoid this price gouging store..

Absolute worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Many employees at this location treat you as a fool and blame there personal mistakes on the customer. When addressed the level of disrespect only increases. Stray away from this location.

Terrible customer service experience. I called the store last night to see if they had a snow blower in stock because online showed they did and I could do an in store pick today. This was at 7:55pm so the store was about to close so I asked the gentleman on the phone if I ordered it online would that secure me to pick up first thing this morning and was told yes. Get to the store first thing and they are saying I have to buy the one in store even though online said pick up today, I have the paperwork and spoke to the store last night about how to go about it. Very frustrating to say the least, this is a $900 purchase and they were refusing to work with me. This will be the last thing that I ever purchase form this store.
