This place is a complete RIP-OFF. I’ve been renting a climate controlled unit for just over three months and I get a letter saying that my monthly rent is going up $80.00. They said they can raise the rent anytime they feel it’s necessary. I understand increasing the rent over time but not 80.00 after only three months. Plus the back gate they promote for security has been broken the entire time I have been renting here. Renters beware, they will increase your rent at anytime

We needed a large climate controlled space on very short notice—36 hours—. Extra Space was very responsive and found us an available space close by. We were very relieved. David D. was especially helpful assisting us through the process online and over the phone. We completed the entire process in less than 15 minutes. Thank you very much.

Tony was very helpful in getting me setup once I reserved my storage online. Went to check it out today and if I was going to move things in my unit, it would have been difficult in that one truck blocked the entry door to the inside units with about 5-6 guys in and out, up and down the halls, there is no way, I could have maneuvered around them. Place was clean!

Extra Space Storage is great! Sandy did a great job helping us as we recently moved from Gainesville, FL and needed a unit to store our items until we get settled into a home. The first month is free which really helped us save money. And they will even prorate the rent if you do not need the unit for the whole month. I would definitely recommend this location to everyone as the staff here is professional and accommodating. Thank you Sandy for making our move in process a breeze!

The manager is nice and helpful. The facility is very clean and secure. The location is super convenient. The Llghts are motion censored and there are security cameras.

They gave us our first month free and we’re even able to pro-rate the rest of the time we were renting a unit since we only used it for a short time while moving for the military. New facility. Staff was helpful. 24/7 access to exterior storage. (Unsure about the climate controlled). In an older neighborhood, but not too sketchy. The outside storage location is surrounded by a wall with a coded gate. Each customer gets their own code and entrance/exit is recorded.

Easy rental process included everything—a lock, insurance, the works. This was also the only facility I found that offered interior vehicle storage. Tony immediately followed up with me to ensure I knew how to access my unit, where it was located inside the facility, and answered all my questions. Extra Space Storage is always great. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is the the road directly in front of the main entrance is sloped, so the carts tend to roll away when youre trying to load them

1 star only because an access door has been broke for at least 3 months. When I tried to use it the store manager said I couldn’t because it was a safety issue. Well if it is that unsafe why leave it un repaired for 3 months!? And after having my stuff here for 3 months at $700 a month you could have nearly paid for the door to be replaced. Replace the damage and recoup the dollars later #badowners #thatswhatinsuranceisfor I mean really? You require me to have insurance for my stuff but can’t file your own claim for damages to YOUR property. Get real boomer. Oh and the gate is broken.

I have loved our experience at this location! We have rented with extra space storage in another state before and never had the care or attention we have been shown here. The indoor units are so clean, easily accessible and even had bathrooms on site! I appreciated their thoughtfulness in the layout. The customer service was even better. After a mishap with a dropped key in an un-retrievable location with one of our kids, the manager came to our rescue and was so kind to help save the day with our lock. If you need a storage space I would highly recommend coming here!

Attractive facility and well-maintained. Well lit in the climate-controlled area. Staff informed and helpful. Facility uses a unique lock that cannot be used elsewhere. Just beginning a lease so cannot comment yet on continuing service.

The online registration and quick response made the set up very easy. Sandy was very helpful in making sure that I had a unit that suited me and my needs. She also came to check in on me when I was moving my stuff into the unit. Having a dock and carts to easy move things into the climate control indoor units made the move that much easier. A top-notch facility in my book.

WARNING William & Mary Students. I have been in contact with Extra Space since March. On April 20th, I received an email stating that my 5x5 unit had been reserved for $55/mos with the first month free. I followed up and confirmed in early May that everything was good to go. Then, on May 17th, I learned that my 5x5 had been leased and I was now in a more expensive 5x10 for almost twice the price. Bait and Switch!UPDATE: After discussing the situation with Tony the manager, Extra Space Storage has compromised and adjusted our rent. Thank you.
