John and the wonderful team at AAMCO went above and beyond to assist me when I had car trouble while traveling through the area. The other service centers that I contacted were not able to look at the car due to the current backlog of work. Fortunately, however, one of those service centers recommended AAMCO Williamsport, since it sounded like a potential transmission issue. The AAMCO team was able to look at the car right away, and after a checkup and test drive, they noted one internal code that would need to be be looked into when I reached my destination, but other than that determined that the car was fine to drive in the meantime. Thank you!
Very pushy sales people trying to push services you don’t want. I called to ask about a service. The person I talked to asked for my name and number and I said no several times that I would call when I was ready to schedule. He wouldn’t take no for an answer after I said it numerous times. He must have gotten my number from the called ID because I got woken up to a phone call from them the next day at an ungodly hour after I specifically stated that I did not want to be contacted. I ended up blocking their number.Makes me wonder what else they will do anyway that a woman says no to. I ended up scheduling my service else where this doesn’t seem like a safe place to go. Steer clear ladies!
Workers here went above and beyond! My truck had a transmission issue on an off-road trail in the middle of winter and a couple workers there on the weekend came and helped me get it out! Super nice people!
I was very impressed with AAMCO. I was told at other places I needed a rebuild on my transmission. I was surprised that they told me I didnt need any work done. This is the place to go for honest and nice people. I highly recommend this business. Thanks AAmco for saving me money!!
Great guys, they found me a low mileage transmission and saved me a lot of money.
Incredibly friendly and professional. I paid $70 LESS for an oil change and tire rotation than I was quoted by other places. Will definitely come back for everything I need in the future
We went in and they checked out our Transmission.
They addressed all my needs with my van and were very customer oriented!
Great staff. Easy process.
Terrible terrible terrible. I think these “auto repair men” went to head start. Don’t waste your time or money w these buffoons.
All around great customer experience.
Great reception at the desk, dropped my truck of for transmission testing and recieved a phone call in a timely manner. Very respectable place, Ill be back for sure!
Its nice to know there are good, honest businesses out there, with outstanding employees! Our son was recently moving cross country when their car just suddenly stopped. It would be easy for a business person to take advantage of their situation, but not these folks. Many thanks to John G., who treated them more like family rather than customers, with great service, fair pricing and friendliness!
Recommended by a friend who has used this service in the past. Received free road test and told all appeared fine. The only optional step I could take was to get a fluid flush (due to mileage) which I did. Nice folks, valuable PM service performed.
Service was little on the high side, however John and the other guys were super nice and fixed my issue in a jiffy. Will go here again for future service.
The service, professionalism, and honesty from the guys at AAMCO where top notch. They got our car in fast and where easy to talk to and very helpful !!! Would highly recommend.
I had an estimate done to have my clutch replaced (it was beginning to slip) and the estimate came in at about $1350! I then called Murray Mazda and got a much better price of $800. So keep this in mind when needing to get this kind of work done.
Absolutely impressed with the level of customer service I was given!!!Hard to find repair shops that will try to help you out over the phone and not just being told to bring it in. A lot of people wouldnt have taken the time to help.Honest, knowledgeable and professional staff!!! Thank you AAMCO 😁
Not only did the Owner come in and meet us around closing time on a Saturday to have our Food Truck Towed in, the staff waited and all pitched in to push the truck in the bay. They allowed us to plug in and got our truck in and out in 2 1/2 days so we could be and running ASAP!! This is where our Truck will go from now on!!! Thank you to Everyone that got the #RealTasteFoodTruck up and running so quickly!! Top Notch Customer Service & Attention to Detail!!
I had a chirp in my Transmission its a 4 speed automatic but was only around in 3rd gear, the guy test drive it while I was a passenger. He said since I have a broken stud in the exhaust manifold it was most likely that. Makes no sense that that would come from there in 3rd gear. Not only that but it seemed like he had no experience turning a wrench and wasnt the best driver almost running 2 red lights. Maybe because Im young but should not make a difference saying that the trans comes out okay. Not going here again, stick to your local independent shop or even the dealer.
They checked my Buick transmission for what I thought was a hesitation.. The transmission was OK. They recommended to replace a front transmission / motor mount and replace my rear air shocks. My local mechanic ( whom they also knew) replaced the mount and shocks. It did the job. Working like a new car. Thanks AAMCO.
Fast good work, constant contact with customers, spot on with estimates.
I did not use their services. I just went in and asked a few questions. The man was very helpful, very nice, and honest. My issue was not my transmission and he didnt lie to get my money.
Very busy place. Was at the dealership next door.
I want to thank the folks at the Williamsport AAMCO for the excellent service I received. When my car stopped in traffic, I thought it was the transmission so I had it towed to AAMCO. They quickly determined that there was a problem with a part installed elsewhere. Not only they did not charge me, they called my regular garage to explain the problem and arranged to have the car towed. It is rare to find such honest and helpful service people as those at AAMCO!
I was given a full explanation on what was wrong and how they could proceed. I got excellent service and a fair price. I would highly recommend them.
Loved the work they did on 2 vehicles!!! So recomend these guys trust worthy, honest!!! Very happy
Was extremely helpful after an incident with another garage. Got my vehicle in on a lift as soon as a bay opened up. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs transmission diagnosis.
Had my wifes car towed there Monday night. Got a call Tuesday morning with diagnosis needed total rebuild.got a call Friday at 12:30 car was done. Very fast rebuild. John handled job very like a real pro!
I actually didnt make a purchase from AAMCO. I had brought in my vehicle for them to check, as the transmission locked up. I was really nervous after seeing a lot from people about how AAMCO is full of dishonest scam artists, and that they were far from reputable, and far from reasonable with their pricing, or anything to that respect. John, who I dealt with initially, didnt even mention a transmission rebuild. He went directly to suggesting a lightly used transmission, and went as far as finding one of the only new transmission left in the US for my vehicle. He gave me quotes for both, alongside a quote for putting in a new clutch at the same time (Which I am assuming it sorely needed) and both were actually less than what I had expected. After all the time and effort that John put in, and the work that it took to check my car out AFTER charging my dead battery, I decided I didnt want to put a new transmission in, which I knew was a rude move, all things considered. But I just didnt want to pump more money in to my car.I have a really busy work schedule, and I deal with tight time sensitive contracts, with hours overlapping AAMCO shop hours, which John understood, and was patient with me, although his shop has fairly limited space. But unfortunately, when I planned to go pick up my car, I was notified of a family emergency, and had to run to Maryland for more than a week, burning through any sort of off time I had saved up with my company. My vehicle got pushed out of my mind, and I never got in contact with John to let him know, which was, again, completely uncalled for on my part. After getting back to work, under a significantly less flexible schedule, I still did not have time to go pick up my vehicle, which again, I didnt let John know.Through all of this, I finally had a little bit of time to take care of having my vehicle towed away from his shop. After a significant amount of time sitting at his shop, John is waving even storage fees, after all the effort that he put in to my vehicle, although I treated the situation fairly poorly on my part.If theres anyone that should be respected in the area not only as a repair shop, but as a business man in general, it should be John, and his shop. Any business that I have in the future (If I dont get myself banned from his shop that is) will happily go to him.Anyone who says any different is probably dishonest and twisting the situation in their favor because they didnt get their way. Thanks John.
Got my car in and fixed so I could get back on the road home.
I recently came in from out of town to visit family when I noticed an issue with the transmissoin in my 06 F-150. Since I had great work done in the past at Aamco, I dropped off my truck with the Mike and John. Within one business day, they had the truck back on the road and I was heading home. Thanks again for the great service.
Very helpful with diagnosing a transmission problem and explaining all of my options. Most people are apprehensive about taking their cars to a garage they dont know, but rest easy...these guys are top notch.
Good warranty on service
The manager was very rude(John G.) and they broke off a part to my transmission line, i wrote to them, he was very defensive about what happened and kept interrupting me. He proceeded to tell me that there was nothing wrong with them they just needed changed, well duh after they broke and i burnt 3rd gear out on my way home after not having enough fluid. It says in their office that they are certified from the better business bureau but the bbb doesnt recognize the shop. They expect me to pay $3000 for a rebuild and new lines when they did the damage, im a college student and i drive 30 miles round trip every day to college. Do NOT go here they just rip off young people, women and the elderly just to make money. Its ridiculous and they should be put put of business in this location. Go somewhere else for a free scan, or just pay for a scan just not here. Never go here. Go to Teds transmission in montoursville, very reasonable price and extremely nice people and he doesnt jack up the prices like AAMCO
Only service 97 or newer vehicles. No help
A couple weeks ago I want down to AAmco the kid at the front desk he told me it will cost me $95 to 180 to look at my vehicles I was making a noise I know I wont go there no more they dont test drive your vehicle no more for free. The kid say at the front desk
Mechanic was knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful.
Absolutely superior customer service
Great service from excellent people!
Never been here but its a brand new building
As getting a quote can already be a difficult thing from a salesman or business, this businessman has made things doubly as difficult by throwing insulting accusations, lack of attention to what the customer is trying to say, and the need to act as though their concerns do not matter in compare to just getting the sale.
Nice people
Total diagnosis free of charge
