Five out of Five!!! Phenomenal people and great quality vehicles!I just moved to the area 3 months ago and since then my car has been totaled. Leaving me 13 hours away from my support system and newly employed in a low paying job. Being that I’m in my early 20’s my credit history is slim and I have no co-signer available. Due to COVID I have been unable to get into the DMV for a NC drivers license; this led to more unforeseen complications on vehicle registration.When I walked into their office I was prepared to hear my 5th credit denial of the week. These guys listened to my story and after seeing my prior payment histories decided that they would go up-to-bat for me with the loan company. They got me a great deal and I was driving out in a reliable vehicle with low mileage and low monthly payments a few days later!! My vehicle is registered in the state of NC regardless of my driver’s license being out of state.Home town, friendly, trustworthy, honest, and reliable people here. Great experience. Went in looking for a cheap car. They had this 06 Ford Focus Wagon which was sort of forced on them as part of a vehicle bundle purchase. This was not in the shape that any dealer in the area would have bought to resell individually, it had a smashed hood and broken passenger side mirror caused by the transport carrier, a bad rim, no arm rest, and it looked as if the previous owner played with a combination of coffee and explosives inside. SO i was able to get an incredible deal on the car $1200. I put about a grand into fixing everything and even found a color matching hood from a local scrap yard. And I now have the vehicle worth over $4k for roughly half the price. I want to commend Murry Motors for holding onto this diamond in the rough and not scrapping it. They took a chance on this car, and I took a chance on them and I couldnt be happier. The car cleaned up beautifully as you can see, both inside and out. Now they have many fine vehicles on their lot, and I was after something differently specific. So if youre looking to save money by fixing up a less than optimal vehicle then you might be out of luck, this was a rare addition to their lot, but you will be happy with the vehicles and with their honesty with what you are buying and what the cars need. These are used vehicles after all.After reading other reviews here is one piece of advice, and this is what I did. Before buying a car take it to a mechanic and pay for a pre purchase inspection. (usually around $40) I took mine to Wayne at Lunar Low on Wellington Ave/Carolina Beach rd. They will tell you what is good, and what needs fixing before you buy the car. Do this anytime and anyplace you buy a used car. before you buy one. Selling used cars is a process of flipping the car. They are almost always purchased in lots from an auction in unknown mechanical condition and cleaned up before sale. This is every used car lot in the country. so its always buyer beware. Just be smart, ask the right questions and insist on having a mechanic check it out first. The guys at Murry Motors had no problem with this. Always approach a used car with a repair budget in mind, almost all used cars need some work done to them after the sale Ive got $2500 invested in this car including the $1200 I paid for it. But I now have a car with all the problems fixed and saved $1400 off the national average of $3999 for this car.

No hassle! Great place to buy a used car! 🚐I have purchased 3 used vehicles from Murray Motors. I feel that I paid reasonable prices for quality used vehicles in each case. All vehicles I bought had recently PASSED NC inspection with supporting documents (I also purchased CARFAX reports online). Dealership also offers ASC warranty plans. I chose a short term plan for a little extra piece of mind.

Purchased 04 wrangler almost 2yrs ago. Ive had about 2 months worth of driving in this thing . Price was reasonable until the 3000+ in repairs were tacked on. I will never forgive myself for not having a mechanic look it over prior to purchasing. The whole bottom is so rusted out I had to sign a waiver before any repairs could be made. So if you buy from this place have the vehicle inspected by a reputable mechanic. I couldve purchased from a dealer with warranty a $10,000 jeep that I would be confident driving. Last mechanic who checked the numerous leaks this thing has said part the thing out, not worth putting anymore money into. Ive purchased numerous vehicles and this by far is the worst financial mistake Ive made.

Hi, i had a very pleasant experience with merry motors. I bought a PT cruiser convertible and despite finding a rabid raccoon in the right passenger seat, it didnt bite me. It did however, consume all of the motor oil after chewing up the catalytic converter. After i bought the car, the steering wheel was covered in thumbtacks, as if this was some kind of joke and the mirrors were vandalized by a fowl drawing of two raccoons. Uhhhhh. My husband asked for change by the manager and in-exchange for a 20 he was given a premium Costco membership and a used retainer. and I aLmOsT FoRgOt about how my front left wheel fell off when i was driving off the lot which was just as bad as when murry charged me 69,000 for this car that had considerable damage made by eel guts which had been made by murry himself. My father and i run this car lot. I have helped him manage it for the last 8 years and we have been open since 1994. All of our vehicles are looked over and inspected by new hanover county imissions and saftey inspection. Not only are all of our customers able to take said vehicle to their own mechanic to get checked out but i encourage it in my opening dialogue. Cars are sold as-is in the state of NC it is up to the customer to take vehicles and get them checked out thoroughly by their own mechanic. That being said ive sold cars to generations of families from grand parents to grand children. It always hurts to hear someone have a bad experience with us but they are pre owned automobiles and sometimes things go wrong but we strive to make sure our vehicles are affordable and reliable.

I will tell you what to do in this situation yes it works ive put 2 of them out of business so far .... 1st if under 30 days you can return it ask motor vehicle its called a lemon and there are laws to protect you from this type of predator doing such.... 2nd never sign a as is paper make them add a week at least most will do so if there honest,, this way you will be covered for a week...if they wont go elsewhere its a red flag ...... if you bought a lemon the main thing here is ..LET MOTOR VEHICLE KNOW ABOUT IT RIGHT AWAY... they do keep records of complaints the more the merrier make them look at your car as proof ...... Last 2,,, 1 price: if its over mid book at all your getting ripped off the book is the value of the car thats it ... 2 how they act go to stevenson honda or any major dealer and see what they say and how they say it and how they act totally different isnt it... this is the difference between getting ripped off or not. In wilmington there is a lot of good used car dealers theres also a lot of bad eggs you should watch out for... you need to report them enough reports and enough people and poof there license goes ... believe me its not hard to get them tossed if they are being dishonest .... also a word for the car neglected .if you get a car and the check engine light comes on before 200 miles or so and it just got inspected report it you will find the dealer who sold it bending over backwards to fix it as inspection fraud it the ultimate nono ..........

The owner told me he wouldnt even fix a bulb on the car, just to let me know he wasnt going to help me AT ALL!!! Do yourself a favor and buy a car somewhere else.
