Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful and warm details in the coffee shop. I loved my Ethiopian pour over, well balanced and excellent recommendation from the barista. Everyone was welcoming of my dog and two year old, which was comforting as most places don’t accommodate both well. Such a cozy spot, I can’t wait to visit again so I can come back!
In town for the beach and a relaxing week. Luna’s does a great job of adding to the area with great baked goods and excellent selection of teas and speciality coffees as we have an Oreo and salted caramel iced lattes pictured below :). We ordered online and had wonderful service. There was an option for curbside with Covid being in place and the cafe itself was for to go orders as of this writing. Great way to jump start your morning and hit the town to explore afterwards.
This is an absolute must if you are a coffee lover. The atmosphere is great, I love the VHS movies that play with the case on display on top of the TV. Growing up in the 90s it totally warms my heart. I have had lattes and coffee both are great options here. The lattes flavors are made in house. The specialty latte with coconut has real coconut flakes in it. I am not the biggest bagel fan in general, but La Luna has some tasty bagels. Also, very cute merch!
Cute little coffee shop. We loved their coffee and muffins. The muffins are so tasty and they are huge in size for the price. The place is so clean and has a serene feel to it. We will definitely come back!
I absolutely LOVE this place. The ambiance is great, the staff are super friendly but most of all.....their coffee is the BEST. I dont ever go to Starbucks or Port City Jaca any more. This is my favorite coffee shop, hands down!!! ❤
Fantastic customer service. Whomever is working there, are always polite.I lost track of time and went in there 2 minutes before she closed, and the girl was polite an suggested to come about 10 minutes before closing, and she took and completed my order. My mom and I love coming to this establishment.
Super cute place, inside and on the outdoor patio! They have a lot of cool artwork and yummy snacks in addition to their coffee. The coffee is really good hot, but when I tried an iced latte, the espresso tasted burnt.
Loved walking to this little cafe in the mornings of my stay at Wilmington. Great coffee here. Even enjoyed the quiche they had even though its just microwaved. Very cute interior and love that they sell art here. Wholesome.
Id highly recommend a visit to this little, Out of the way coffee shop On castle street.Nice friendly vibe,, nice people coming and going. You can spend a couple minutes or a couple hours, With games and paperback books on the walls
Really cute Cafe. Latte was flavorful. Great ambience, lovely barrista. Neat selection of vhs tapes and books. Very local and cozy.
In my search for divine coffee in the Wilmington area (and Ive found a couple), Luna Cafe goes to the top of the list. Rich, deep flavor with no bitterness. Locally roasted is a bonus and set in a bohemian neighborhood adds to its charm. my only wish (and this applies to other places ive been), is that they offer organic/hormone free milk products to accompany the excellent coffee.
Delicious chai matcha ice tea! The service was nice and decor was inviting for those who want to sit and rest with a drink.
Love going to Luna Cafe because of their vintage and retro feeling atmosphere not to mention their bold and delicious coffee beans. Each trip to Luna Cafe is nothing but amazing. The staff at Luna Cafe is extremely polite and professional.
I tried three or four different lattes and all were delicious! Honey spice was my fave. And my dog could come too!
Just tried this place for the first time and it was great. We had the honey spice and salted caramel mocha lattes (both were wonderful). This will be a regular stop from now on.
I really enjoy iced herbal tea. Nice herbal teas. But Ive never paid $5.14, no matter how organic or fancy.. until I got a tea here. So not worth it.
One of our favorite local coffee shops. Great coffee, some nice baked goods, and welcoming ambience.
Great coffee & service. The outside seating area is super cute!
Amazing coffee and awesome atmosphere.
Luna is my favorite coffee shop in town! They roast their own delicious coffee, and everyone there is so wonderful and friendly. The drinks are creative and so fun. Try their Vanilla Lavender Latte--its superb!
Loved Lunas 10years ago when I lived here but I just had a very sad experience. I bought a bag of coffee and was asking about the grind setting and they just have them numbered so they dont even know what grind setting it is. I asked for it powdered and it is anything but.i also asked for a double with cream. I see the batista just filling the Espresso press and not measuring out any amount. Their machines settings are way off. Burnt the grinds and way over poured it. I feel the employees there need to be properly trained on the technique of brewing espresso not just the act of doing it.
So good, had to stop in a second time when passing through! Ordered the lavender vanilla latte and it was perfect, not too sweet. The coffee cake muffin was also fantastic! Plenty of milk options too.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Wilmington
Great coffee, chill atmosphere and wonderful location
I enjoy going here whenever I’m downtown. The staff (which it’s usually one person when I’ve went) are friendly and don’t rush you out the door. I get a latte and it’s always good/right. It can be a little strong (meaning you taste more of the espresso beans than milk) but it doesn’t taste burnt or acidic. The parking is my only complaint but it’s downtown so it’s to be expected.
Great coffee. Great customer service!
Smooth coffee, not over cooked, and they have my favorite ice cream, vanilla!!!!!!!
Very clean very good
Cool little cafe with outdoor seating
I love the spicy mocha!
You MUST go here. A delightful place to get a local cup of coffee. They have started roasting their own beans as well! They have a multitude of creative house drinks and lattes- mt favorite being the coconut turmeric. The atmosphere is quaint and they have a new featured local artist every month! There is a cute lil patio out back [but be wary of some of the chairs] with succulents and sun covers for those hot days! Try an apple pastry and an Americano for a relaxing coffee experience.
My girlfriend and I went for a Valentines Day coffee trip and really liked the small, family owned shop! The cold brew was the best I have had since being in Wilmington, and the owners personable and friendly nature made the experience definitely worthwhile. If you have a chance, check out the patio on the back! Will for sure be coming back soon!
I always get the nicest people making my coffee and tea...
Wow! First time ordering and VERY IMPRESSED! Love me some mocha frappe!
One of my favorite spots for a cup in wilmington!
Favorite coffee spot in Wilmington. friendly staff and owner. excited that they’re now roasting their own beans.
Ive been told that they support local businesses by offering a 10% discount to employees of local businesses. I work within walking distance to Luna Caffe at a local business. Twice Ive been denied a 10% discount, once because I was told they only give those discounts to the owners of local businesses, and once because I was told they only give those discounts to people working on Castle St. It was just strangely disappointing to go to a coffee shop to support a local business that supports other local businesses and then get denied that support (in the form of a discount). Get your story straight, figure out who you do give discounts to, and dont spread the message that you support local businesses with a discount if you dont. On the plus side: I am able to give them my reusable thermos to fill up instead of being forced to accept single use plastic trash. So thank you for that.
Kinda small inside but great atmosphere! The guy behind the counter was awesome too. Dogs allowed
This tiny hipster joint is the alt-biz coffee place Wilmington deserves. The m.o. is standard: art on the walls, nerdy liberal types with laptops sipping cleverly-named caffeinated beverages in slow motion, poetry reading posters in the window, etc. You know the scene. Youve been by something like this place in every urban neighborhood youve ever been to. Which is perfect. Its coffee without the corporate vibe. It feels like the person at the next table is a neighbor, even when they arent. You could at least strike up a conversation, if they dont mind looking up from their screen. Luna Caffe is clean and well decorated. The prices arent too bad. Its easy to find and its cozy, like the neighborhood its surrounded by. I got the red-eye, my partner ordered an iced mocha something. Both were surprisingly good. If youre looking for a laid back Saturday hangout spot or a place to become a regular you wouldnt go wrong making Lunas that place. Ill be back, for sure.
Love this cute coffee shop, every-time im downtown I try to make a stop. There coffee is delicious and the lavender latte is my favorite!
I love the vibe of this whole place! The plaque for the worlds longest straw, the stack of vhs VHS tapes and a TV showing me eternal Sunshine, like I can totally get behind this place. Also their vanilla lavender is top notch.
Will (the owner) and his staff are fantastic and have a great environment for buying coffee during this pandemic. Locally brewed is always a plus!
It doesnt look like much on the outside but inside they have made it a fun, cozy place to be. Nice selection of specialty coffee drinks they are happy to alter however you like. They have trivial pursuit and little forms of entertainment here, as well as a couple different seating areas that give you permission to hang out as long as you like. I wish there were more inviting places around it to draw people inside. Its a nice little establishment.
Great coffee, friendly employees, and nice atmosphere. Cozy, but enough space to be comfortable. A big thank you for welcoming my pup! :)
One of our most favorite local coffee shops. The REV coffee they serve has the perfect mix of tart and fruity. My son looks forward to grabbing a giant cookie when we go.
Absolutely furrtastic and super awesome coffee shop. Free parking, wonderful staff, dog friendly. I bought my rescue pup, Savannah, and the staff were so kind and compassionate- they gave her biscuits and came over to play with her in between serving other customers.Lots of tables and a great spot to work out of- I’m in real estate and I look forward to meeting many of my clients here. Convenient in town location, too!
Great place. Nice selection of loose leaf teas and tasty coffee and baked goods. Plenty of seating and plugs for working. Only downside was the high-school aged barista loudly talking to her friend who came in to hang out - Bring headphones.
This cafe was small and cute. There is a lot of coffee options. I like that they had Kombucha, which is not something you can find a lot of places. It was a little pricey but well worth it! I feel almost as if I am robbing it of a star because I only got to try one thing. I didn’t get to try their actual coffee so please take that into consideration when reading this review!
My husband and I stopped in on Valentines Day and loved this place! The Chai Latte and lemon pound cake were delicious!
Nice place, relaxed mood and great coffee! Big variety of drinks, both hot and cold. Thank you!
I met a realtor there to go over some houses its a cozy little place and I had a chai tea that was really good. I love how they have an extension extensive VHS collection. All the movies that I grew up with in the 80s and 90s. It was fun just having it going on kind of in the background. Its comfortable and really cute inside and in a nice area to just walk around downtown. You could tell that people coming in there were definitely regulars and the staff. Its also very dog friendly with dog biscuits and a patio
Awesome place... Great coffee.
Nice coffee and snack place. This owner WILL is very easy to talk to.
When youre looking for the best cup of joe in town, you most definitely will find it at Luna caffe
Great coffee, nice people, cool atmosphere, and local. It doesnt get better than that.
No parking and very expensive. But I am thankful for you hosting the Monday talks
Really awesome little coffee shop. They have the best iced red eye on the eastern seaboard, Im pretty sure. Owned by a couple of really friendly folks. I always, ALWAYS stop in when Im in the neighborhood!COFFEE ICE CUBES GALORE!!
Always friendly, always a great atmosphere and some great coffee and goodies to eat!
It took me a while to find this place, but Im glad I did. Definitely the best coffee in town (drip coffee that is). Ive had a few espressos but primarily drink coffee...and prefer it black. Their beans are so much better quality than the bigger coffee shops. As well, you cant beat the community here. Lots of great people and located right here on Castle Street. Lastly, the wifi is perfect...its never out and never fails. Love this place. Legit.
My favorite coffee shop in Wilmington. The coffee is great, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is very laid back. They also have a cool little patio.
I have only been here once as a new cycling destination. I had a double espresso, which was very good. The shop is in an older building in a downtown neighborhood, so has a quaint, cozy atmosphere with lots to read or watch, especially if you like somewhat older, campy movies. I will definitely vidit again.
This is my go-to coffee shop in town and I have been to every coffee shop in Wilmington. They have a great dark roast and medium roast. Added bonus that they have coconut milk as well. Very good customer service and a great place to ready, study or work.
One of the better coffee shops around
Superb! Best coffee and best vibe in Wilmington. Kids and dogs, everyone friendly and welcoming. Gotta give credit to the owners for producing great Java in a warm, comfortable environment.
The chocolate cardamom latte is amazing. Staff is always friendly and polite. One of my favorite places to relax or work.
Great espresso, tasty granola bars, and very friendly staff. Parking is a bit weird around there, but its worth it. They also sell some neat local art.
I went in to luna caffe for a chai latte and to use the wifi hehe. i brought in my 24month son who is curious about everything and the staff was super friendly and sweet about it and didn’t make a fuss. he kept running around the bar and giving the barista a toy and running back to get it, it was so sweet. overall an amazing place. the best part was the vhs tapes and the old school tv set.i got to play some cool nostalgic cartoons for my son! great atmosphere, comfortable setting & seating. highly recommend
Great coffee. Theyre very knowledgeable about their roasts and dont settle with their bean sources. Some of the cheapest coffee prices and quality isnt compromised.
The coffee is fantastic, the people are awesome, this is a hidden gem you need to drop in if your in the area.
Best place to hang out & meet all walks of life.
Nice neighborhood coffee shop with nice selection of hot and cold drinks, danish and muffins. Pet friendly. Only negative would be the barista’s frequent use of the F-bomb in her conversation with her co-worker.
Good coffee shop, however its in a section of town that used to be known as the bottom. Its in tha hood. Nice place... Dont get caught there after dark.
Luna Caffe is one of Wilmingtons gems! Its creative vibe is perfectly suited to Castle Streets up-and-coming artistic district and the friendly neighborhood atmosphere makes guests feel immediately welcome. The coffee is great and the owners are amazing people who love their community. Coffee-shopping is one of my very favorite hobbies and over the years, I have realized that some coffee shops have good coffee and others have a good vibe. Luna has both! Plus they have almond milk and soy milk, which are great for all my dairy-free homies. I would highly recommend Luna to anyone looking for a place to study, meet friends, connect with the community, and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Next time you are looking for a new coffee-shop adventure, try this special spot! Im pretty sure you wont be disappointed!
Love this spot. Favorite americano in town. Lovely location as well.
Good coffee; great proprietor. Her staff is not the most inviting, or comfort provoking, but she is always awesome. A good value. A local business to support most definitely.
Great establishment with helpful employees! The drinks were great, however the parking is a hassle. Overall a great experience
Great little coffee shop! I just moved a few blocks down the road and come at least 4 times a week!
$25.00 to taste a small cup and buy, a pound of coffee, no thanks.
Great atmosphere!! Very relaxed and would be a wonderful place to visit if you ever happen to be in the area!
Intimate, non- corporate neighborhood coffee shop!
Great local business. Knowledgeable staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Great cup of coffee off the beaten path. Highly recommend if you are driving around town looking for something other than Starbucks.
Amazing lavender latte! And local artists work displayed throughout the cafe is great.
Very friendly service, great coffee.
Two “f’s” in cafe? Pretentious much? ... I kid I kid, really beautiful cafe...caffe 🤗 The atmosphere is top class and the coffee is second to non.
Great cold brew and they have a rotating kombucha tap from panacea brewing! Dog friendly indoors/out-- theres a patio through the back door :)
Luna Caffe has a very friendly staff and a great vibe! I tried the vanilla lavender iced latte today, and it was absolutely delicious. The space has a relaxed feel with a great playlist of music. It is a comfortable space to relax or do work in, but it is also very easy to drop in for a drink to go. They have various board games (Jenga, chess, Connect 4, etc), and dogs and children are both welcome. Overall, this is a great little coffee shop, and I would definitely come again!
Great little coffee shop! The staff was super friendly and loved that it was dog friendly also!
Great coffee. New fav spot.
Excellent place to drink coffee. I would know, because I love coffee and places to drink coffee.
Great place, friendly, efficient and great coffee drinks. Eclectic place in an eclectic funky neighborhood. WIFI, etc. Interesting local art.
Great coffe very nice staff
This sweet little place is just a few blocks off the main fair on the riverwalk. Artsy fun and clean with great snacks like spinach rolls, biscotti ( gluten free) and spicy mocha coffee; eclectic and very comfortable, a great way to treat yourself with a little down time. The owners are informative and very friendly. Thank you, I enjoyed my visit. Hope to be back soon.
These guys use the best roasted coffee. Friendly staff too. If youre picky about your roasts, this is your place.
Not only do I love the flavor of their coffee better than any other in town but the owners are so incredibly friendly and helpful along with the great staff.
So good. Coffee is great and local panacea kombucha on draft. Awesome
This is one of two coffee shops in Wilmington that I go to and everything is so delicious. Love Luna Gaffe.
