Design Inspiration had great attitudes when talking to the staff. They were helpful, efficient, and positive when working with them. Highly recommend this company for any design needs!

This business -if you can call it that is HORRIBLE!! OVERPRICED BE WARNED!!. First of all you walk into the showroom and it looks like the 80s &90s threw up. You can hardly walk anywhere. It is atrocious, it also had a very funny smell both times we were in there. It is the most horrible business I have ever worked with because it is a SCAM!! Not only have I worked with Nancy, my best friends have worked with her too on a remodel of their home. I am writing this on behalf of all 4 of us. Nancy nor did her Head designer (who had a little bit of an attitude) know that me and my friend have been in the design industry for decades. We have worked with tons of vendors. (We are retired and wanted to hire a local business to help out with our beach homes) Nancy upcharges all her clients at least 30-40% mark-up. I was actually shocked at her prices. I have actual proof of this. Not just this we happen to hear how she spoke to a couple of her employees and it was awful. All around STAY AWAY from this business!!!!! You have been warned!! We werent going to leave a review, but all of us keep talking about it and we felt the right thing to do was to WARN any future clients about this SCAM!

Nancy helped me and my family design and furnish a new beach house at Kure Beach. Her wealth of knowledge and many contacts made this process a breeze. She is knowledgeable in many design styles and helped us achieve the upscale costal look we dreamed of. Nancy was able to offer us discounts through her vast array of vendors which was a huge help as this is a second home. She was even there to meet the moving trucks and stage the furniture when we were not available. Who could ask for more?? I would highly recommend Dezign Inspirations, Nancy helped us turn our dreams into reality.

As with most boomers whose children have moved out and started their new lives, the idea of scaling back and downsizing life in a new home brought with it the opportunity to create a new chapter, a new feel and a very different lifestyle.After approaching Nancy with our ideas regarding style (casual more than formal), colors (softer rather than bolder) and comfort, she very quickly was able to create an entire new look by pulling out various fabrics, different furniture styles, colors and complimentary materials (wood, wrought iron, rugs, etc.) that immediately created the blend and look to which we desired.Once the final choices were made, her team very efficiently forwarded a completed floor plan for the house indicating the best possible placement of everything for our review.The hardest part of the entire process was the waiting for the delivery and installation of items (window treatments, furniture, lighting, etc.) after placing the orders as each company we were dealing with had different time schedules.When all was said and done, the house looks incredible. Every room flows gracefully into the next creating the comfortable and beautiful space that we had envisioned.Nancys eye for detail, her quick ability to blend the proper colors and textures (pillows, window treatments, rugs, furniture) and the excitement she demonstrates with a project made working with her and her entire team a truly fun (and learning) experience.No doubt there are many interior design companies/individuals in our area to whom we could have worked with. However, Nancy’s reputation for understanding the client’s desires and her ability to take those ideas & thoughts and bring them to fruition were well worth the 2-1/2 hour to the beach to engage her services.Nancy…..thank you very much for the gorgeous home.

We built a home in Wilmington and we wanted to have an interior designer work with us to achieve our desired look and feel. This home will become our permanent home in 2016 so we wanted to do it right the first time. We chose Dezign Inspirations after meeting with Nancy - and getting an understanding of how she would work with us. We had a budget and Nancy promised to stay as close as possible and she promised we would be happy as she would not stop until we were happy. Quite frankly, she made some suggestions that we would never have considered - and are we glad that we put our trust in her - our home came out perfect. A table we thought was too big was actually perfect once in the home. The colors she helped us select were right on the mark. Our bedroom set was exactly what we wanted to do in the last home but could not find it. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Nancy and her dedicated design team on the 10-month long construction of our new home. As recent transplants to the area, we were eager to shrug off the cold cloak of northern, city living and create a sunny oasis for ourselves in our newly adopted beach town.We were fortunate that a good friend of ours, who had moved to the area several years earlier, had a wonderful recommendation for us for an interior designer – Nancy Mullineaux – who had helped design their custom home, which we incidentally loved.Our journey began with sitting down with Nancy and her staff and looking over our blueprints before setting a date to break ground. They carefully assessed every detail of the floor plans, room by room, and made numerous creative suggestions, some of which weren’t even addressed by the architect!Over the course of the project Nancy and her team consistently kept us updated and informed on our project timelines, and never ceased to work in a collaborative effort with our builder, architect, etc. It was a true team effort and it made the potentially stressful aspect of building a new home a relaxing, enjoyable and actually FUN experience because we knew what good hands we were in.An added benefit of working with Nancy is the incredible array of resources she has available in her retail showroom. I had an amazing experience with Nancy and her Dezign associates even more so than expected with this being my first time using a designer and embarking on a home renovation. Although I was a bit intimidated calling her for the first time (not sure how far my budget would go), she was so warm and friendly I was immediately put at ease. My two bedroom, downtown cottage was totally transformed by her company. With the wide range of resources and top notch materials available in her shop to choose from as well as with her Dezign team’s guidance, I was able to choose countertops, flooring, tile, light fixtures and furniture that coordinate and flow well from room to room. I could not have achieved the end results on my own. There is no doubt I would have chosen items that looked fragmented, not matching, flowing or working well in my space. Furthermore, I would have had extreme difficulty finding and coordinating reliable and talented laborers for the job. All of the people she hired to complete the work were so talented and their craftsmanship and professionalism was beyond words!!!! Again, I couldn’t be more pleased with the timeliness of my project and how everything turned out! Overall this experience has been very enjoyable, and I learned some new things about myself in terms of my design style. I give Nancy Millineaux / Dezign Inspirations a perfect 100!

When we sold our home up north, I realized I was locked into beige. For our new home near Wilmington I wanted coastal, not beachy, with pops of color. I knew I needed help! Nancy first held a phone conference with me where we looked at pictures I had saved on Pinterest and Houzz. This streamlined our first meeting in her design center. She had chosen many books of fabrics that aligned with my pictures. She guided me to find an inspiration fabric which we then used to choose all the other fabrics. They coordinate perfectly and give a contemporary coastal vibe to our rooms. I would never have had the confidence to choose the beautiful, colorful fabrics we did. Her furniture and area rug suggestions were so awesome, and definitely outside my wheelhouse. They are perfect, unique, and complete the rooms so that they are comfortable, but very stylish. We get compliments from everyone who visits. Nancy and her assistant are creative, never pushy, and totally respective of my tastes and budget. Her pricing is very fair and reasonable. I would recommend Nancy to anyone who is looking to create their own unique space.
