We wandered downtown on a Friday night and of course, every place to eat was packed, or too loud, or too loud and packed....and then we stumbled across the Vine, a simple and elegant little corner wine bar that offered delicious, creative charcuterie boards, scrumptious appetizers and of course, beautiful wines. The atmosphere was relaxing and smooth with instrumental music and candlelight. The owner (cant remember his name) was so attentive and accommodating: when we wanted to move our table closer to the music, he helped us haul it over to the spot we wanted. He made thoughtful suggestions and helped us pair our wines with our food perfectly. And if Ive given the impression that this place is too fancy or fussy, let me say this: it was the perfect place for grownups who just wanted to relax and enjoy after a long week, but didnt want the typical downtown bar atmosphere. Cant recommend it enough.

A fantastic restaurant for wine and tapas. Tracy provided wonderful service and was very attentive. The wine perfectly paired with all of our tapas choices.The tuna tastada(tostada) was fresh, a little spicy but would be brighter with some more cilantro and jalapeño, which we seemed to be missing. The tastada was super crisp but difficult to cut. Worked better to pick up. The egg was perfectly cooked with a runny egg.The potstickers of shrimp were light and delicious. The Thai sweet chili sauce was spicy.The prosciutto wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese were fantastic. The prosciutto was crisp and the balsamic drizzle was plate licking worthy.Definitely worth the visit.

Very pleasant tapas bar. Small but intimate. A very nice wine list and lots if tapas choices. Our choices were preparedly perfectly and were delicious. The business also includes a small store offering a wonderful array of olive oils. Our visit to their bar was a perfect interlude in our afternoon visit to downtown Wilmington. We will definitely be returning soon.

Being able to taste the olive oils and balsamic vinegars is awesome. Tasting the oil is a bit weird, but you can really taste the infused flavors. The balsamic vinegars are my favorite to taste. They also serve wine and things to eat. We tried Date Night, which was phenomenal!

Mother’s Day brunch was absolutely delicious. We also purchased some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Wonderful selection and phenomenal quality. Glad we stopped in. We’ll definitely be back.

Had a wonderful night here sampling tapas, charcuterie, wine and a ton of balsamic vinegars. We ordered the Al Capone board and the Eliot Ness... Both outstanding. Great wine selection, and extremely knowledgeable bartender that offered suggestions to pair with our food choices. I believe we sampled more balsamic vinegars than we did wine. Took home a bottle of the raspberry white balsamic, and cant wait to experiment. Looking forward to going back for their weekly events.

If you are a local, this needs to become a regular spot. If you are a visitor, you must include a stop here. The wine selection is off the charts. The tapas are phenomenal; chef Dave will have something to please your palate. And shop for olive oil; my wife is a connoisseur and had a hard time making up her mind here. Finally, reserve your chair for weekend brunch and you’ll thank me later.

Amazing service and welcoming staff, also their bartender nailed the pairing for our meal. The chef made the best cheese Ive ever had in my life. Would definitely recommend to anyone stopping downtown.

This is a wonderful wine bar with a bottle shop and extensive range of olives, oils and vinegars. Its charming and relaxed. And the tapas selections are really tasty and fun to share with friends.

I have visited The Vine twice now and both times have been phenomenal! The staff is very well versed in wines and oils. This was my first time purchasing infused oil and I didn’t know what to buy. The staff listened to what I was looking for and steered me in the right direction! I put it on everything!! I also tried The Eliot Ness tapas and The Dime Dropper Salad. Both were served fresh and did not disappoint! I could even tell the almonds were freshly toasted. Delicious! Will be frequenting this place!

Ate brunch there this past Sunday and it was EXCELLENT. Brunch is my favorite meal and this is by far the best i have had. The Quiche of the day was amazing, and the Blueberry French Toast was exceptional. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and extremely friendly! I would recommend this experience to everyone.

I enjoy the Monday night classes: Balsamic Truffles, Vinaigrettes class and the wine tastings. David, the owner, is a wealth of information on olive oils and balsamics - and hes a chef, so he really enjoys sharing different ways to combine and use the products. My favorites are the coconut white balsamic with the roasted sesame olive oil. Cant wait for some cheese selections. Definitely worth a visit.
