Unfortunately people in this area dont have many choices and this store is the worst of them all. Customer service is non existent. Prices are higher than Organic All Natural Specialty Stores for generic brand. They dont honor all advertised prices. There is literally no incentive to shop here.

Its the cheapest price supermarket in all of Wilmington. Would be five star but in very bad neighborhood and smells bad inside. Put up with those two things and your saving tons of money!

Walking toward the entrance, you can expect the regular loiterers and homeless folks looking for handouts. Once safely inside (yes, they have security officers) you notice the aroma of rotten meat. Some packaged items like cookies are usually open (the customers like free samples).You can play guess the date on the meats or look under the stickers. It can be hard to tell the cashiers crom the panhandlers because of their dirty clothes and messy appearances. Also, dont buy more than you can carry, because you cant take your cart into the parking lot. Other than these things, its the nicest market in the ghetto.

I am never going back to this particular store EVER AGAIN!!!! The deli sells Lunch meat that smells off, the customer service absolutely does NOT exist.....do yourself a favor and dont go here, it might be more difficult to go elsewhere, but it will be worth it..They advertise delivery if you order $50 or more, but they refuse to answer phone, and they will take the phone off the hook for hours!! F@《€ this place!!!! They dont even have the right phone number online!!

I often shop at the Great Valu market in Churchton, MD. I always check my receipt and they are usually spot on with their prices, standard and weekly specials. However, there was some deception in the last weekly circular. Smuckers Preserves. 18 oz. were advertised as 2 for $5.00. Good savings considering I was charged at $4.65 for one. I was told the price didnt hold because it was select varieties and strawberry was not select. This is misleading, especially as the signage was directly under the STRAWBERRY preserves and no other 18 oz preserves available.

Ima give two stars bc this is my community but come on ppl this grocery store is on its last limb been several different names over the years but never have I seen it this bad..new owners I suppose upped the prices like a Acme but the produce is 🤢 potatoes wet in the bag all piled up on each other, onions sitting rotted, peppers soft and old, lettuce welted and wet, go down the bread section might find a bag ate thru on the corner from mice...chicken yellow and turkey wings black. I mean I can go on and on about this supermarket. But you might like it ..go check it out

AbsolutelyThe worst customers service I ever seen!! Hangs up the phone regularly, doesnt follow up with delivery orders, or courtesy driver. Just a horrible place to deal with Period

This store has its ups and downs.the prices were reasonable until the new owner bought ther store now everything has gone up by 50 to a dollar. They do offer shuttle services if you spend $50 thats not hard to do with the price jacking. You can get someone to help you with your groceries to the car since you cant take carts to your carbon if your not willing to pay that person to take them to your car you better let them know before hand other wise they willing bug you to death until you pull off. Other than that it a NICE STORE 👌 😌

I always enjoy My shopping experience in the Fresh Grocers . Their service and their prices are catered to The clientele that they serve . The gentleman that work in the seafood department And the gentleman that work in the meat department Are very knowledgeable of their products And are always willing to give you good advice on your select of seafood as well as the meat products . All safety Protocols are in place, which makes a good safe Shopping experience .

I dont usually frequent this store but I made a special trip for their $8.88 Dungeness sale they have going on. It was by far some of the best crabs Ive had in ages. So much so, that I returned that same evening for an additional 3lbs! The men were helpful & the minced garlic was de-lish!Keep it up!

I really like the way they redone the Fresh Grocer. I have not been there since it has been remodeled and when I did go awesome in there I really love them there you have more variety room to move around, especially when we are disabled! And we are in power chairs!, gives you more room to drive around and its awesome that they have those electric chairs also that you can use in their store for the ones that does not have a power chair of Their Own.

Super hood but prices are always good on meats. 🤷🏽‍♀️. Can’t take carts into parking lot (yes, you read right) but there are non-employee “helpers” that will ask / offer to carry your bags from the curb to your car. So bring some spare dollars for their assistance. The customer service desk always seems to be closed in the evening and during the day, they customer service agent is behind closed doors in the office and you have to go looking for someone and plead for them to come work the front desk. 🙄 Oh! They will steam crabs legs with butter, garlic and old bay, when you buy them there.

This Store is okay but I dont like how they have the gate locked and you need to wait for a security guard to open it just because they dont want the carts to be stolen there are better ways to keep the carts from being stolen and make it more accessible than it is now. Being in a wheelchair makes it difficult in this store is closest to my house they need to come up with a better solution one day the security guard took the key home and we couldnt even get into the store. What if we were inside the store and they took the key home there was no other ways off the sidewalk

A bit pricey great customer service

Decent prices and a nice selection of products. The main reason I come here is for the deli which offers pretty good food, especially if you catch it freshly made. Unfortunately, it’s not in the best area which can lead to some unwanted encounters but nothing too wild. Overall, it’s a decent location if you want to pick up a few items or lunch.

I asked for the owners contact information, and since the heavy set Hispanic manger refused to give me the owners information to report his conduct, I´ll right a review. Walking into this store is like walking into the Twilight Zone. I can´t wrap my head around the fact that their EMPLOYEES act like that at WORK and its condoned. The smell of the fruit and vegetable section when you walk through the front door is enough to make anyone sick to their stomach. I´m not a wealthy woman and each time I attempt to purchase my three year old daughters WIC the fresh fruits don´t work, today I was charged for three milks and I only purchased two. They should be able to run the cameras back and see that, but they didn´t so now I´ll be contacting the WIC head office and reporting this store. At no point in time should a manager speak to a customer as rudely as the heavy set Hispanic manager spoke to me, especially when his employees are in the wrong! This is the SECOND time I´ve come to this store and their computer system doesn´t accept fresh fruits for WIC. No! they need their WIC certification taken from them especially since they are selling old fruits and vegetables to begin with! Molded! Rotting! I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life, but I´m the RIGHT customer to behave that way with! EVERY SINGLE government agency that oversees the rules and regulations in Delaware HAVE been contacted. If your cashiers werent so busy talking about how big and bad they are, and how many people they can beat up, then maybe these mistakes wouldnt continue to happen! Now my daughter is without a gallon of milk and two containers of juice because the cashier rang it up took it off my card and then called the manager over! I explained to the manager OVER and OVER that she already took it off my card! I just ended up leaving the store without the milk or the juices! Im not stooping down to these type of peoples level, but trust and believe everything is in motion and this WILL be taken care of! EVERYTHING has been reported! Then maybe if your store remains open, you´ll hire managers who dont feel like they can disrespect women, managers who know how to put fruits and vegetable codes in the computer! Managers who keep your store clean! Cashiers who dont conduct themselves like they´re standing on a street corner! Managers who throw old cabbage away instead of taking the mold off of it and attempting to sell cabbages the size of oranges! Molded mushrooms! Old Tomatoes with bugs flying around them! Lettuce past its expiration date! Yet, your managers have time to get smart with customers? This place is sickening and you need to be shut down!

This supermarket its very good. I travel driving 30 minutes just to do my groceries. Everything its fresh and they have an international line of products so I find my spanish coffee and all other spanish groceries. Just love it.

I buy my meet here and I choose it carefully and the prices are awesome....so If you have any complain about the quality of the product, you must discuss it with the manager. Is very important for customers to know about it. If you treat employers right they will do it to. I love them. They are very nice.

I always find what I am looking for. I go just for the cuts of meats. I love all the seasonings. The loiterers outside can be alittle annoying. But this comment is coming from an elder senior woman relocated from Pa. Country side to a over populated area of homelessness.

The clerk was super patient with me when I had trouble. She knows all the quirks of the credit card reader! I found her to be very pleasant and sweet.You cant take the carts to your car, so be aware of that if you buy a lot at once. Youll have to make multiple trips!

Its dark in the store. Not enough watts I assume. Its a clean store, they should show it off.

We just moved to the area so we thought fresh grocer meant there would be a wide variety of fresh produce but we immediately saw a rather bare area with only two bunches of bananas on the banana shelf. Perhaps Wednesday is a bad day. I am at least glad there is a grocery store in the area for those who need an accessible grocery store nearby but this wont be my everyday store. Also, the parking lot had quite a bit of litter.

Need to open back up with the same logo, and clean the store up, have cashiers that want to work and not be on the phone with nasty attitudes

Not good! Im trying to give them time for transition to the new store but they dont have a lot of verities to choose from and fruit was not up to par bought bananas twice both times they were bad.

This market is Trash. It severs is purposes. The meat department meat department is extensive and always really fresh. The produce dept. Could be better in terms of variety but all the basics are there. Deli is weak but again all the basics are there.

Never go alone!!! You have people just standing by the entrance asking for money, selling foodstamps or just harassing you. Place is really trashy and customer service is poor. Cashier told customer whom was in front of me to quiet her crying baby and hurry up and pay😠. The poor lady spoke no English at all. I told cashier if she was serious. Cashier said yes while chewing her gum very loudly. I told her its a baby thats hungry and the quicker she does her job the lady can be on her way and feed her child. She just totally went off and refused to ring the lady and myself. Lady went to a different register and I left items on her belt and left the store. I will never in a million years step foot in this store.

Way overpriced! Not the first time Ive walked in there and theres been a pack of hot dogs in the refrigerated case thats all blown up from going bad. Dirty. Open boxes of snack cakes on the shelf. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere.

The prices are too high and need to put up more stuff on stock, they need to bring back the discount cards because of the neighborhood in which they are located, no wonder the place not pack like it use to be, but they need to understand we are most on low income and dont have transportation even through they give you a ride if you spend $50. Dollars and up but the van is so small than again thats all they need high as their prices is, but this is were they make most of their money at in the neighborhood they are located in so they need to yake something in to consideration!

The security is ignorant! Ive had many bad experiences there...just last week,I was going outside to smoke while my friend was waiting in line, the short bald security followed me out and stood extremely close to me and was looking in my purse while I was getting a cigarette. ..he had me so mad! I understand he has a job to do but if thats what he has to do to get people then he needs to take some classes.
