Huge fan. Jason is super down-to-earth and kind. He was able to undo and fix my very amateur nut and saddle job on my Martin acoustic which now plays and sounds perfect. Great selection and solid movement of items. Always something new and special. Consigning with them is super easy. And Fender the cat is always there to greet you.
Jason has done a wonderful job of making Guitar Pickers a destination for those seeking cool, used gear. I try to stop by monthly and see what’s new. Along with Adam, they’ve created a friendly, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The guys are not only talented but know their stuff, super cool very knowledgeable and cool as Hell, I highly recommend a stop by if youre in Wilmington. No photos on this post,,, you just gonna have to stop by.
I wasn’t even sure I wanted to buy a new (or used) guitar until I stepped foot in this place. Everyone was so inviting and helpful. The owner helped me the most! He made me feel comfortable and like I could be honest about what I wanted. He genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase and not break my bank. I will be going here for ALL of my guitar needs!
Nice guys at this place cordial and respectful and of course knowledgeable in guitar and amp really enjoyed each time Ive visited the store keep up the good work guys
I was looking for a Epiphone Les Paul Junior and Jason, the owner, helped me accomplish that. The shop lighting is beautiful and his inventory was unreal! He had EVERYTHING, I will definitely be back!
I traded out my Schecter Omen-6 about a year ago for an Epiphone Les Paul Junior that I never played for a year, and I took all of the strings off after I picked it up. Today I went to restring it and install a new pickup, and noticed that the neck was obviously broken and glued by either the store or the previous owner. Make sure you look before buying or trading to this store, because now I either have a worthless guitar or am in need of a $70 replacement neck. Also, on the third fret the inlay is pushed into the wood. Pointless to try and go back now, but maybe this will help new customers out. Maybe under new ownership, the guitars they stock are in far better shape.
Guitar Pickers rules!! Jason is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When it comes to breaking down the technical features of guitars, this guy really knows his stuff! He’s also worked on a few of my guitars now and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend Guitar Pickers for your six string needs!
Went in there last week and was greeted immediately by the wonderful owner and the shop cat! It was a friendly environment with knowledgeable staff! I was picking up a Christmas present and found exactly what I needed for an affordable price! I also got a little something for myself because they just have so many great options! They also offer lessons which is great because I don’t know how to play anything and would love to learn. Would recommend this place to anyone both beginners and pros!
Great local shop with lots of quality used guitars and amps. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely the spot to go for second hand gear.
Did me a solid deal on a trade. Cool cat.
I went into Guitar Pickers for two specific things and was greeted by the owner Jason. He was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for while effortlessly keeping up with multiple customers and their questions. Jason’s knowledge, inventory, personality and passion are the reasons why I would recommend Guitar Pickers to anyone else!
My husband and I came in to shop for a guitar for a Christmas gift and were astounded by the great selection of new and used guitars! The staff and owner were so kind and helpful when deciding what to choose and had amazing offers and deals! I am so thankful we went in that day and would recommend everyone shop here and support local!
Staff was friendly but they sold me an amp cord that did not work.
Great place to pick up cool instruments, amps and gear, plus consignments. They sold my Gibson Acoustic for full asking price.
My new first stop. great deals, friendly service. i bought several pedals there and made two very equitable trades. guitar pickers is serving the music community in wilmington well!
This store has always been a favorite of mine! Great customer service with a great selection of amps and guitars. They have many brands to choose from as well as new and used! Some of the best guitars they have are vintages ones. They carry a lot of boutique hand made pedals as well! I have bought several guitars and amps from here. I have also so many items here. Such a great place to shop and do business with. Highly recommend!
I moved back to Wilmington a few months ago and the staff at Guitar Pickers couldnt be more welcoming and helpful in finding the perfect guitar for my musical endeavors. The have a wide selection, a knowledgeable staff and great prices, cant recommend them highly enough 👍

I loved it just kinda upset I didnt have the money for one of the guitars there 🤣
Guitar pickers has always been awesome, but now that theyre under new ownership theyre even better! Theres an awesome selection of guitars, amps, and pedals! Before you go to any other local music shop go to guitar pickers first!
One of my favorite hidden gems in Wilmington
Excellent customer service, fair prices, and a good selection of new and used equipment.
I needed work done on my Guitar. They had the guitar ready in the time frame that they had told me it would be ready and the work was superb. The action was great, the choice of strings was marvelous. The action was better than I had anticipated. What a store. The staff was knowledgeable and super helpful! I would go there again and again and so should you!
Got to meet Ed today. Ill have to say he is very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I was in the market for my first guitar and he took the time to address all my questions and inquiries. What a professional! He will definitely be getting all my business and anyone looking for help will be referred to his shop. Thank you very much sir for your help today and kindness!
Superb local music store!
Nice cat
I was looking for a new guitar that was a different shape from the dreadnought style that I already have. Eddie was amazing. He took his time to show me different styles and explained the differences between the various guitars he showed me. I ended up getting a gorgeous new guitar at an amazing deal. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the market for a new guitar!

I highly recommend this place to any guitarist or bass player. My dad and I went here one day and the first thing they was welcome us in. They are were very friendly and social.
Had some pickups that needed to be switched out. They were able to do it on the spot while I browsed their guitar selection. Very fast and at good prices
Eddie was awesome! No pressure and he took time to give my son advice and some priceless tips, we both really appreciated his recommendations👍🏻
Huge selection in guitars, super nice guys... Best place to buy strings and also called across town to another business to try to help me find what i need. true customer service.
Love these guys always fair with prices and very curteous to customers. Doesnt matter if your beginner or advanced musician. They have all sorts of bass acoustic and electric instruments new and used.

Was in the market for an amp, but had little knowledge to select what I need. Eddie answered all my questions, demoed an amp based on my needs, and took the time to make sure I was satisfied. SOLD! Great price and great service!
Greg and the guys have ALWAYS been honest and straightforward with me. I will ALWAYS make a 45 minute ride to deal with them so I know I have what I need/want.
Awesome selection and very knowledgeable. Helped me score some sweet deals!
Went in with a guitar I had just purchased off of Craigslist to purchase an amp. I was blown away by the service and attention I was given. Made me feel like I was a regular my first time in. Great place, great prices, friendly staff and ownership. Ill be back very soon.

Great people, great gear. Tons of knowledge about every instrument in the store. We always stop here to see what they have in stock when we drive from Macon, GA.
Says its open. Only to drive there to find out you cant even go in. No way to maintain a small business.
These guys are so great every time I go in. Just cant say enough good things. No BS. Just honest guys selling gear at fair prices.
Went in for a classical guitar and left with an awesome amp. Those guys know their stuff. Very satisfied.
I didn’t go into shop but spoke on phone (and texts). Called to ask if same guitars listed on Craigslist here locally were same as those they had listed on Reverb for much much less ($1000 less on guitar I was interested in. Another was around 1000 less/and yet another around 400 less). Was told by Eddie from shop that I had no right to ask those questions...and what he lists guitars for anywhere is no concern to me.LOL Me the buyer shouldn’t ask things like that. I should just pay the higher price. Once I told him I saw the Reverb prices he said he could sell for those. Absolutely crazy that way of thinking. Bottom line, if buying from there, check their Reverb store first. Me, I won’t be buying there. I’d like to think that local businesses try to look out for their community**Just to clarify for the new owner (and owner’s response below to my review) — It was Eddie (former owner)posting on Reverb and Craigslist and it was Eddie I texted and Eddie I spoke to on the phone. (Got his number from the Craigslist ad).*** OK this is ridiculous. To clarify once again.... my post was left for Guitar Pickers when the previous owner owned it. I left the review at the time of incident. He told me he was the owner... he answered the phone that was listed as the shop’s phone, and he was the one that I dealt with. My first “update” was left after the new owner took possession. That update was only to inform the new owner that they were incorrect in their original response to my review. (New owner’s response was implying I was calling a wrong number, and that Eddie wasn’t doing the things I posted about...which in both cases the new owner was incorrect). I understand new owners have nothing to do with the old. It unfortunately doesn’t change a review for the old owner/business. I’d be happy to drop by, hopefully have a great experience, and post about new shop/owners/experience.
What a helpful, friendly place to buy a guitar. For someone like me brand new to learning the guitar, this place made me feel comfortable and confident.
Great place to buy a guitar or accessories. They really did a great job helping me select the right guitar and prices were very fair.
Friendly service, they stayed open when I showed up late just to find me the right guitar strap. Nice guys.
I was looking for a square-neck dobro and theirs was the best I found and at an unbelievable price! Looking for a used instrument, amp, etc. in great condition and at low cost? Heres where you go. These guys are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Great guitar shop probably have what your looking for.
I went in looking for a guitar for my daughter. They spent over an hour just talking and demoing both new and used guitars. Going over the benefits and features of different styles and brands. Not once did I feel rushed or unimportant. We ended up with a guitar from the vast used section for an amazing price. I cant say enough nice things about my experience there!
Great place Eddie very knowledgeable about guitars
Good selection of used guitars, basses and ukes; some new stuff as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are very reasonable.

Great variety of guitars, basses and amps. Great people. Sell on consignment.
Great place to deal with ! Eddie Benton is just a great person to deal with !
Really neat used/consigned stuff! Not your typical music store fodder... Classic amps/guitars on sale for local collector prices.
This place is amazing, owners truly care about their customers and help to show you a good product at a great price. Very knowledgeable and truly memorable experience.
Im torn between here and the Loft. Both are great stores, but different. Being from Charlotte its nice to get into an independent shop for a change!
Stopped in today after just moving to the area. I have had many experiences from music stores all over North and South Carolina and I can confidently say that I am thoroughly impressed with not only the store as a whole, but the owners as well. There are not only cheap guitars and amps for beginners, but an awesome selection of high end guitars and amps as well.I was able to try out a Taylor 414ce while I was there, and there were also a few boutique electrics as well such as a Wenzel Tele (which I had never heard of until today) that was made here in Wilmington for $950. They are fairly priced and I will be heading there first for my next purchase. I also learned that they do repairs as well which is a big selling point for me.Also attached is Bass Pluckers. I was surprised to see the vast selection of basses they had available. There were 4, 5, and 6 string basses of multiple price points and brands, and the owner was nice enough to let me talk his ear off for a solid hour.Overall, this place was my temporary guitar heaven today and I highly suggest checking the store out. 👍👍
Great service, really good guys.
