Three years ago we purchased a fan that is still going strong. This time we returned for help with a master bath remodel- mirrors, recess lights, fan and lights, and replacement for exhaust fan grille. We found everything- one stop- with the help of pretty much everyone there. Great help and information!! Will go back again for whatever our next project is.

The best customer service! It’s a treat shopping at coastal lighting. They really know their merchandise and have beautiful selection of lighting.

I went in looking for 4 different lighting fixtures. There were 3 employees in the store with only one other customer. I walked all the way around and thru the store. Not once did anyone offer to help me. As I sit here in the parking lot typing this up the manager took it upon himself to come out and give me his business card and explain that he would have eventually offered to help me. But not before I left the store.

Our dining room light fixture (high end light fixture) magically had a piece break, snap and needed to have a replacement piece. After going to Lowes and Home Depot, I called Coastal Lighting, the very nice lady on the phone gave me an email address to send a picture of the part/section and said someone would reach out to me. The next morning I got an email and they had the part (I was very shocked), it was 2.00 as they had this random piece. Someone had to sort and search for it. I picked it up and my light was perfectly fixed. I highly recommend this lighting store, every employee was very friendly and very eager to help!

I was in earlier today with a handful of parts (pieces) and a sad tale about a broken ceiling fan. My phone call with Rodney yesterday put me on the right track, but since I need an instruction book to use a screwdriver, my efforts were doomed from the start. After listening to my tale (again!) and looking at my pieces and pictures of the previously mentioned fan, Rodney was able to find the EXACT replacement part for me. I’m happy to report that the reassembly took me about 20 minutes, and we once again have a working ceiling fan that has a selection of three speeds.Rodney, thank you for your expert advice, and for being able to find the part. You have my gratitude and respect, sir.I will return to Coastal Lighting Supply for any Illumination needs.

My wife and I visited their store today to by some lighting for a remodel we have underway, I have cancer and was carrying my oxygen concentrator obliviously compromised. We asked for some help and when the the salesman approached we asked if he would put on a mask. His answer was “ I refuse to wear a mask” totally baffled by his response we promptly left and conducted or business at Bayside Electric Supply a couple doors down who were more than happy to wear a mask and a pleasure to deal with.

Helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The quality of their lights really is better than what youll find off the big box home-improvement store shelves. Ended up replacing a couple of perfectly good fixtures because theirs looked so much better. Prices arent a whole lot more, and the quality is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

We lost track of the time and unfortunately arrived at Coastal Lighting right as they were closing. Even so, they graciously allowed us to tour their beautiful and expansive showroom. We saw some gorgeous pieces and fixtures of quality far above what weve seen in big box home stores. And they were reasonably priced too! We are planning to go back next week (earlier in the day so well have more time to look around!)

Not only do they have a great selection of lighting and accessories but the staff is above and beyond helpful. They were able to diagnose and satisfactorily resolve a problem over the phone, great place to do business.

Tried to return a $500+ light fixture within 1 week of purchasing but they would not accept it. They cited that we shortened the wire even though there was plenty left. It was otherwise in perfect condition. I would have accepted half price or something because of this, but they were absolute about it. bad.

When we built our dream home in Southport in 2001, all the lights were purchased from Coastal Lighting in Wilmington. Over the years, we needed additional fixtures for our track lighting system, and Coastal Lighting helped us out, even delivering the fixtures to Southport when they had other merchandise to deliver to our area. Recently, we had trouble with low voltage spotlights, and Ben at Coastal Lighting quickly found replacement fixtures and LED bulbs to work in them. We are very pleased with the great service.

Stopped by this store twice, never once either time, did someone even acknowledge mine and my husbands presence. They dont ask can I help you, nor even look in your direction, or bother to say goodbye when you leave.
