Bought a new Duracell battery for a Porsche 911 a few years ago. Lately it started dying for no reason if I let the car sit for even a few days. I took the car to a local Porsche specialist who checked the car and said there were no abnormal drains. I then took the battery out and took it to Batteries and Bulbs who tested it and said it was fine and also that it was still under warranty. A week or so later, the car stalled at a light and would not re-start. I had to push it out of the road and get it jump started. I then took the Car the local Porsche dealer. They tested the car and battery for 2 days and concluded the car has no abnormal drains and the battery is no good. I then took the battery back to batteries and bulbs, they continued to insist it was fine, but now said it was no longer under warranty. I made it clear I was not interested in continuing to use it and ended up buying a new one anyway from them but I am now out $ 180.00 for the first mechanic to test the car, and $ 280.00 for the dealer to test it, and not the cost of the new battery $ 214.00 - Not happy.....

They didnt have good inventory. Items are not priced correctly. Inventory is old.

Brought in my 2003 Toyota with a very old battery. The battery had acid all over, fused screws, corroded terminals, and a slew of other issues and these two gentleman worked tirelessly for a straight hour to fix it all at NO additional cost. They did the work with a smile and my new battery is in and working great. Well done!

My 19 year old daughter was told by Firestone when she got her oil changed that she needed to get the battery replaced soon, and gave her a quote for that (which was pretty high). I ordered a battery online with Batteries + that was much less expensive, and had my daughter go to the store to have it installed. When she arrived, the gentleman there first tested the current battery, and told her that it was just fine and did not need replacing! We got a refund for the one I purchased online since we did not need it.I will definitely be coming back when the time is right to actually replace the battery, it was a fantastic experience knowing these guys will do the right thing even if it means losing a sale for right now.God bless yall!

Employees are pretty great and work hard but the owners of the store dont care about customers or their employees well-being. They consider customers a nuisance and fired a friend of mine for being concerned for customers through this pandemic after 7 years of loyalty. I wont be purchasing anything from any store owned by Bill and Linda and Ill let my friends know to do the same.

Battery was installed wrong. Tecch sparked it multiple times before realizing his error and hooked it up properly. Door locks, radio, ac, rear wiper and interior lights would not come on. A second tech started testing fuses and said they were all ok and told me to take it to a shop. I decided to try my luck and found 2, 20 amp fuse blow and 1, 40 amp fuse blown. I replaced these and everything now works. I have but several batteries from you, and this is the worst service I have ever gotten. It has wasted 4 hours of my time and a couple of bucks for parts. Very disappointed.

Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to help. I had an IPhone screen replaced as well as a battery and it only took about an hour. The prices here are cheapest around as well! Austin was very eager to help as soon as we walked in the door. I will always go to batteries plus bulbs from now on and I will be sure to tell everyone I know!!

Took my phone there to get the screen replaced and when I got it back the screen was fixed but the buttons on the side of my phone and the notification light on the top of the screen no longer work.

Don’t buy a car or boat battery from them. Bought a boat battery and seven months later mechanic puts a load test on it and it fails. Recharge overnight fails second time. Return to store on Oleander and told can’t exchange until they personally check it. Left to charge at store for 24 hours and call them only to be told it’s up to 11 volts and they need more time. 24 hours charging and only 11 volts really !!Get a call next afternoon after charging for over 48 hours only to be told battery is fine must be another problem no warranty. Purchase new battery from another store and charge their battery overnight myself and fully charged 12.5 volts. Ask my mechanic to retest with me standing there. Load test preformed it fails again showing 10 volts which wouldn’t start a lawn mower. So besides loosing use of boat for two days while we play games I’m out $125.00. Very polite employees but will never do business again.FYI friend had same warranty issue with a motorcycle battery. Replace it with another brand and problem solved. They told him it wasn’t their battery too.

Batteries Plus employees are absolutely fantastic, and have been working so hard helping the citizens of New Hanover County to prepare for Hurricane Florence. However, I truly hope that the store will close soon and give employees enough time to prepare their own homes, or evacuate if necessary. It would be unfair to expect them to stay in the path of this storm.

I ordered on-line and got 20% off right away. I waited until around 7:00PM in order to avoid the crowds. The store manager was by himself, but he proceeded to meet me outside to put in the new battery. He actually deserves combat pay because changing a battery in a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse is not for the timid. IPhone 6s Screen Replacement:Very glad I had my screen replacement done here! When I had it done, I scheduled an appointment online and got $10 off so that was nice too! The day after it was replaced I noticed shadows on the screen against a white background. I took it back the next day to show them and they replaced it again, for free, saying the screen they used must have been faulty and that it shouldnt have any shadows. I havent had any issues to date and highly recommend this place for screen replacements! They were very quick too, taking less than 45 minutes both times.

Expected expertise when picking up battery we needed for motorcycle. Asked twice at order that it matched bike, was assured it did. Got all the way home pulled the bike apart, and it was not the right battery. Had to go back...they say they pulled the wrong one. Chris at the Wilmington Batteries Plus Bulbs is a ROCK STAR! The tip of an Aux cable broke off in my headphone jack. I made an appt online (which was impressively easy) for the next day. I went in and Chris warned me that he may need to order a special tool but that he would give it a shot. 5 minutes later and it was out! I teach fitness classes and they are no fun without music. (This review is for a friend) Friendly staff, but unimpressed with the actual service. My friend went to get a phone microphone replaced ($40 repair) but it didnt work even after the repair. Went to another Batteries+Bulbs and they asked if it had water damage, which it did, but if they had told us that at the first location before the $40 repair we would have saved some money rather than trying to fix a lost cause. Since then Ive moved and had to get a new phone, and turn in the old phone with the new, non-effective microphone - so its a lost cause. I would be willing to take down this review for a refund on the $40 lost.

The worst experience EVER! They gave me the WRONG battery. I informed Eric and he said the manager Chris would call. NOTTA-ZERO-Nothing! Spent $319.00 for a battery and crappy customer service. Batteries plus bulbs advertise that they can install batteries into phones and tablets. however, I was told that their instructions were not up to date and therefor they didnt want to bother with my Samsung tablet. very disappointing.

After ordering my battery online and picking up the following day I was told it was ready to install. When I went to install it I found that had not been filled with acid. Had to take it back and get it filled so now its on the charger. Now its going to be another day without my motorcycle. Not a happy camper.

So we purchased a AGM battery from Market St. store. Josh sold us a battery that had been sitting on shelf for 6 months so when I put it in not even 24 hours later battery light came on, corrosion on terminal, turn signal being crazy, and the alternator was smoking. All of this did NOT happen until I put this battery in. So I called store closest to me which was Oleander store and McKayla answered and was very rude. We went to Oleander store to bring battery in and they said they couldn’t warranty it.....really what does the 4 year warranty cover? I haven’t even had it 24 hours! What the heck? Then Austin at Oleander store said do you want battery back after we charge battery? Ummm no are you serious? He even said I wouldn’t put it my vehicle. So don’t try to buy AGM battery from there because they have just charged the one that I took out of my vehicle that did not work! Buyer beware!!!!! I would NEVER EVER go to this place again.....

NEVER buy a battery from this place. First of all we were sold a battery that was too old and should have already been pulled from the shelf. Two when bringing it back in they told us it was under nominal charge and should have been checked when we bought it, by the way this battery was owned for LESS THAN 24 hours. When we asked to exchange it or get our money back we were first told NO. Uhm excuse me, why buy a 4 year warranty and who doesnt back a product for their consumers who purchased a battery less than again 24 hours ago. The lady on the phone, McKayla, when we first called was not very polite and the guy, Austin, at first did not want to work with us. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE USE THIS PLACE. I have never been so utterly discusted with how a company does business. Oh and please get your inventory in check because when you say you have one in stock and neither store can find it, that may be a problem. Thanks but no thanks.

An awful experience. I ordered a laptop battery off of their website based on a description of my laptop. I drove 40 miles to pick it up ... 40 miles back home ... and it is the wrong battery. You would think that if this was your business, you would know what battery fits in what laptop.
