STOP PLEASE READ THIS WARNING !!! I was in the market for a king size mattress, On July 22, 2021 I visited Mattress Warehouse 3624 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington Delaware. The manager Willie Thomas suggested Serta brand. I purchased a NEW king size mattress along with a few other items with free delivery and set up. The items were delivered the next day, however, my bedroom was not ready still remodeling. They were instructed to leave the items in hallway. I am 53 and the mattress standing up is over 6 feet. One of the delivery representatives was required to call the warehouse dispatch to explain why the setup did not occur. Later in the day, we turned the mattress still in the plastic wrapping over when I noticed rust marks and stains at the very top of the mattress. I immediately contacted Mattress Warehouse, shared the unacceptable condition of the mattress. I was told to send pictures, they agreed the mattress was in an unacceptable condition and offered to replace it I declined, I explained due the unsanitary condition of the mattress, I was cancelling the entire transaction. I did not know how this could happened. Of course, they blamed Serta stating it came from the factory like that. Once, I told them to cancel the transaction, Willie stated he was authorized from the main office to offer to credit my credit card $100, I also declined. I sent an email to Mattress Warehouse stating the cancellation request. I received a call from John, stating he previously spoke with me and I agreed to have the mattress exchanged, at which time I really knew what type of company I was dealing with.There was never a conversation with John or anyone else accepting an exchange. I told John what he was claiming was not true, he then offered $200.00, I declined. I looked on their website, they advertise you can sleep on one of their mattresses and if you dont like it you can exchange it within 30 days It is now my belief, I received one of the returned mattresses, although I paid for a new one. They are fighting my credit card dispute, claiming the mattress was in good condition. Review the pictures for yourself. I do not believe this is an isolated incident. Now I understand why not having them setup the mattress was a big deal to them. If they setup the mattress I would have never seen the actual condition!Things to think about:What are they doing with the return mattresses?Are there, rats, mice, or other undesirable animals in their warehouse, urinating on the mattress, box springs and other items?What type of bacteria in growing inside the mattress?Did the rust stains coming from a leaking toilet or sewage line?FYI _I had to select at least 1 star to post this review- Rating is 1000 negative stars.Mattress Warehouse do the right thing and stop fighting the cancellation request and pick up you items from my residence as requested on July 22, 2021.CC: department of justice Delaware Attorney Generals officeBetter Business BureauAction News

Great customer service

Willie our sales person was great. He was not pushy at all, unlike our earlier experience at Mattress Firm. He showed us what types of mattresses we were looking for, didn’t try to “sell” but rather helped us with our purchase. This was the third place we had been to today trying out mattresses. We would definitely do business with him again.

Over the course of several weeks i had gone into the store 4 times. they offered me a suitable mattress at a good price.they told me they could deliver on the date i needed when i tried to pay with a credit card, they could not take it, claiming construction had their system down. when they finally figured out, they could not deliever the mattress as promised, telling me it would take a week beyond the date i needed it. i walked out. i drove a mile up the road to home mattress center. bought a great mattress at a lower price, delivered for half as much, exactly when i need it. ill be buying 2 more beds in the coming months. guess where i wont be going?

Needed a twin bed for a spare bed room. Walked the store was greeted, shown where the twin mattresses were, 15 minutes later I was out of the door. Mattress delivered 2 days later! Deliver guys were great too fast and clean.

Good cheap mattress. I got a full sized mattress for 400 bucks. They have sale going on.
