This is Fran Kleiner. Id like to respond to the negative reviews by Josiah Romesh and Shania Hershberger.I really question your experience with wraps and your insulting review of GEMS4U. You obviously have never seen or purchased one of Marys exquisite wraps. My daughter and I own many of them, and travel from NJ every year to visit GEMS4U to see and buy more of her beautiful creations. We exclusively wear Marys jewelry and are complimented over and over again on the pieces.Mary is the most talented and genuine person you will ever meet, and she treats all her customers like family. She doesnt have a rude bone in her body.My advice to you Shania is treat other people the way you wish to be treated. You were obviously the rude one by refusing to wear a mask in Marys store. If you have ever lost a friend due to COVID (and I have), you would know why Mary is asking her customers to wear a mask while visiting her store.

The shop was very nice and the products are amazing and not at all overpriced. Also most of the reviews I see about disliking the shop are because they require a mask, which isn’t much to ask considering we are still in a pandemic even though other places are opening up regardless COVID is still a thing, they supply masks in store in case you forget your own. It’s not a hard thing to do and if it’s someone’s request don’t be rude and just wear one you won’t be in the shop forever a mask won’t kill you. Not to mention I went here twice and both times the employees were super sweet :)

I went there on my birthday, as my friends and I had been walking around downtown. The welcoming atmosphere of store and the employee who had been working there when I went made the experience all the more better! I think my friend had bought me an ocean jasper necklace and i’ve been wearing it ever since! I love it.

They did an excellent and affordable job repairing and restringing two antique necklaces. Very kind and the free water was a thoughtful touch.

Its pretty apparent from the moment you enter this place the love and care that Mary has for that which it is named... gems. There is something for all tastes here, from beautifully crafted original pieces of jewelry to raw specimens and everything in between. The thing that I think impressed me the most was the fact that Mary knows everthing under her roof to the point that she can even tell you where those specimens were found. If you are feeling artistically inspired they also have a charm bar where you can create something of your own. Most certainly worth checking out!

A lovely shop run by lovely people! Also super helpful and super nice, they are not only very knowledgeable on their products, they will wrap and/or fix just about anything you need on the spot. Mary and her mom are wonderful people. Ive been in twice within the last seven days and my collection has grown substantially - Ive added 3 pendants, multiple mineral samples, and various cut gems. Theyre hospitable, offering water and candy to shoppers in addition to conversation. Theyll help you find the perfect gift, for yourself or someone else. GEMS4U offers a large collection of raw mineral/crystal specimens as well as cabochons and faceted stones in various sizes. Their work comes in various forms - wire wraps (rings, pendants, bracelets), chokers, bracelets, and an assortment of make your own jewelry. Mary will even help you select a stone and then wrap it based on what you want. The Sedcieskis are good people, with a generous and loving spirit - its now my #1 stop for my collection.

The best jewelry store in Wilmington! Everything is unique and handmade. Most of the items are made in store or are locally mined. The owner and staff are very hard working and will take requests. I wanted a piece of lapis wire wrapped with a wolf charm on it for sentimental reasons and I got exactly what I wanted. They offered free water and chocolates too which made me feel very cared about. I had mentioned it was my anniversary and the woman checking me out( Im so bad with names!) gave me a drawstring bag of unpolished decoration/filler stones as a little bonus! I cannot wait to come back next time I am in Wilmington!

Beautiful jewelry and art...all created by local talents. I had been looking for a pair of mens beaded bracelets and found EXACTLY what I wanted here. The store owners are very personable, engaging and professional. They educated my wife and I about the artist and their works featured...great variety of beautiful ethnic and urban pieces to choose from. Im always happy to support local small businesses...especially when they offer such a wide variety of pieces to appeal to a diverse range of customers. Beautiful gems with amazing customer service! They had reasonable prices and the worker stood outside to return my phone to me when I left without it, which I thought was very sweet. They also resized a necklace that I wanted so it would fit to my liking♡

This place is so fun to browse -- theres always something new to see, and its always so bright and clean. Really good energy! I loved this store the moment I walked into it and was greeted warmly. Handmade wire wrapped jewelry that you can watch her do while standing there or pick out an already made piece. I love the store...Mary is the sweetest lady. She talked to us the whole time, shared stores and info on the stones and the wraps...she made me and my husband earrings on the spot and when the transaction was complete she gifted us with some beautiful rough stones. Great place for quick repair of jewelry. Friendly people, amiable environment, and excellent quality work. My two year old granddaughter loves to peruse their variety of jewelry. I think GEMS4U is an excellent example Wilmingtons hospitality and their prices are very reasonable.

Mary and her mother Valerie are the sweetest people! This is the only store I get my crystals and jewelry from because the customer service is excellent! I bought a Hematite bracelet from them but it was too big so they made me a custom one to fit! I wear it everyday. Such kindness deserves your patronage!

Gems4u has amazing staff and amazing stones. They were really nice and even had free water and refreshments. They even gave me extra stones with my purchase.

I can take my broken jewelry with my eyes closed. Both, the mother and the daughter put a lot of time to fix your precious things the best way possible.Also, they have great candles and are expanding in art in an interesting way. When walking by downtown area I always have to stop there.

I found a choker I loved, which is why Im giving this place 2 stars, but upon asking questions to the owner she made snarky comments and then halfway through thr transaction told her daughter/helper to finish with me so that she could run out to continue speaking with other customers that she had a conversation with the entire time I was in ths store and checking out. YES it is nice to speak with customers, but DO NOT ignore other customers, especially while they are trying to buy your product. I will NOT be back and will not suggest it to anyone....

I am very experienced when it comes to custom wire-wraps. I wire wrap, myself. I have to say this shop was an extreme let-down. I went in with my significant other and we were hassled by the owner. She kept going on and on about how her daughter did this and that.Not ONLY that- one of the worst parts - the crystals. They are scattered about on a table, at random. There are no labels, nothing to tell you what the stone/crystal is or what properties it possesses. Its literally a table of rocks.Another thing I would like to add- all the wraps she has displayed are not labeled either. They dont have prices on them and it doesnt say anywhere on the box or on anything what kind of stone it is.. A 5 year old could wrap what the owner calls wraps. Honestly the saddest store Ive been to in my entire life. I wanted to put my loose change in a cup for them.
