I have bought most of my textbooks from textbook brokers over the last few years. My only regret is that I did not learn about them sooner. I would have saved a lot of money by not buying books at the school. They are always polite and professional and offer lower prices than the on-campus bookstores. They also buy-back books and offer rentals.

Winston Salem Location is closed!!It was a great place to get books and the staff was always helpful but sadly this location closed. They merged with the Jamestown location.

Apart from the fact that price of the books are cheaper comparable to most shops, Charles & Ken were very hospitable and proactive. They were professional and they also made an effort to personalize experiences based on their customer, unlike others who sound scripted. Based on my experience with them, I think their customer service was exceptional! Ill definitely come back in case I need to purchase textbooks again for my classes.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I’m always able to get my textbooks for cheaper here and it only takes 5 minutes!! Could not recommend it more!

I highly recommend the brokers to college students of all ages. The books are cheaper and theyre willing to work with you. Just bring your books back in a good condition after you use them. They buy, they sell, they rent, they do it all.

Very rude to customers looking to sell books if you go in the morning at opening. They value books way less than the actual sell value of them. Brand New textbooks are apparently worth $5 or nothing at all when they are selling everywhere for $300+. If youre looking to sell, post them on eBay! Dont waste your time selling here. A good source if you need something you cant find, though, potentially. They got me a lab book no one could find once, but that was years ago.

I promise you guys will not be dissapointed coming to get books here. They find the best prices for you in comparison to actually campus bookstores that over charge you. They are very friendly at this store and always try to make sure you leave satisfied👌. Highly recommend!

These guys are amazing! I had a couple of mishaps with my financial aid and student loans and they worked with me all the way to the end. I am not sure how I ended up also being the lucky student who also got my books stolen but I am grateful that Textbook Brokers worked with me! Thanks you guys so much!!

I wont purchase books here ever again. I can get my money back for a unused item and Ive been using this place for years. Disappointed in this center.

Warning!!!!! Who ever rent books from here, just so you know that whaterever book you rent and use your card to pay, just know that they keep your card on file and charge you the late fee automatic without you knowing (late fee cost close to $30 or more depending on the book that you rent). Future reference: before signing receipts, ask about the late fee policy and any other important info if the person who helped you did NOT explain to you. Better recommendation would be: pay in cash

They have good customer service. I went there for my first time yesterday and I wish I had gone there sooner. You can save a lot of money here especially if you rent. They had the books that I was looking for and I got back a decent amount of money on the books I sold.

Cheap textbooks. Love this place. My textbooks from Forsyth Tech would have been $900, but I got my books for $367! Saved me so much money (that I didnt have in the first place!) make sure to get your books here. If youre paying out of pocket like me, it helps so much!

I was a longtime customer of textbook brokers. I have spent a couple thousand dollars with this business between buying and renting books.This past semester I rented one book from textbook brokers. The rental was about $70 on a $120 book. After using this company since 2013 I had become accustomed to them sending me a text a couple days before my book(s) were due. This Summer semester no such text arrived, nor did a phone call, nor did an email. I was alerted by my Discover card that I had been charged over $120 by textbook brokers. I got in contact with the Winston location and was told there was no way for me to receive a refund even when I was willing to use my lunchbreak at work that same day to bring the book back. It is saddening that a company treats a longtime customer in a way to pocket a relateively small amount of money compared to the thousands Ive spent with them. I was referred to the regional manager, Brian, who was at the Jamestown location.I called and left a message for Brian and was told he would return my call in a few minutes. Four hours later I call back and speak a representative who tells me Brian is available. I then got hung up on, called back twice, and finally got ahold of Brian. He was rude and confrontational. Frequently cutting me off while speaking, he stated that the text message that they have sent me a dozen times in the last five years likely was blocked by my carrier, even though Ive had the same carrier during the duration of me doing business with textbook brokers. He then hit me with the fine print of It is on your receipt, It was on your book, etc... I understand all that, given my book was binder pages and the plastic which had the due date was long gone.This comes down to a lack of respect for the customer. After using this company for years and spending a considerable amount of money textbook brokers is willing to lose my business over a book that I was willing to give back immediately once the confusion was addressed. If that isnt an embarrassing excuse for a customer service experience I do not know what is.
