Nice place to have so many foods, fruits, beverage and others. I loved the fresh fruits, fish, and meat! Amazingly fresh bekary items and cakes. This place is clean and employees are helpful to find you your necessaries.

Store is older so not fancy but I found it to be very clean and it was stocked unbelievably with foods I haven’t seen in years. Prices were wonderful. When I get off work planning to go back and buy some of their meats.

Not a clean store. The meat is often filled with bloody, watery juices and the boxed items are often past the fresh-by dates. The only plus is some of the produce is cheaper than other markets, but that does not necessarily mean better. Id rather spend more money buying better products at Harris Teeter, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, or Lowes.

I always go here for the perfect Mexican produce, especially cilantro.

It is a wonderful store. You can purchase fruits and spices. I buy beef and oxtail for my 🍲. They need to open a Compare Foods Store on Reynolda Road.

This grocery store is located @ the backside of the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center w/a large flat parking lot. They have a large variety of items available for sale.... Domestic as well as international. They sell several brands that I recognized from other local stores like Food Lion but they also sell a lot of brands that I wasnt familiar with. They have lots of produce & meat items that I had 2 Google just 2 find out what it was that I was looking @. Every employee spoke Spanish. I had a hard time understanding my cashier while checking out bc her accent was so thick. The grocery store was packed full of shoppers when I went during the middle of a weekday. They also have an area where they sell jewelry set up right inside the entrance. I dont really have any complaints 2 express but it just isnt my kinda grocery store so I doubt Ill return.

I give this location 5 stars for a few reasons: it is very well stocked, large variety of items from several cultures and countries, plenty of staff, butcher, bakery, and a few other things. I recommend this compare foods location to anyone in the triad area in search of ethnic or international food items.

Great place to get Latin food and some items and vegetables from Puerto Rico

The store is cleaner and more organized than the last time I was there. We ordered tamales and they had whole pieces of chicken, bones and all!!! Same with the pork tamales, big bones and little meat!!! Awful!!!! Will never eat anything from the kitchen there again. Also their health department grade was 80!!!!

Nancy Amaya was our cashier and she was very rude. She threw the receipt at us and didnt greet us at all. Also, the stockers dont move the carts to let us pass through. They look at you and dont bother moving for you. In the tea section, there arent any prices.

I purchased my food, went to my truck to unload, reach in the bag to grab my drink and realize its not there. I go back inside and nobody has a clue who I am or what Im talking about.

Customer service is always good but expect a crowd, no matter what time of day. But I can say day is better than evening.

I buy food for our ferrets here. They have a good selection of offal and other items commonly used for raw fed ferrets (and other animals). Store is clean. Employees are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend checking out this store if you have raw fed animals.

Its sickening! Their Sanitation Grade is 78 in the meat dept. If I could have given them no stars I would have. How can they still be open with such a low grade.

Great place to get food you cant typically find elsewhere. But the store is quite nasty and has a horrible smell to it, can almost make you think twice before a purchase.

So I recently left the store and my experience went to ok to just terrible. Before leaving the store, I went to use the restroom. One of the employees did not wash their hands when the left the bathroom. I reported it and when confronting the employee they seem nonchalant. Justifying of the reason why they didn’t wash their hands. They happen to handle the meat station, and was one of the ones that packaged that I recently purchased. The manager didn’t do anything about the situation they also try to justify the situation. Never again will I be coming here.

I like this Mexican Supermarket store, when I was staying at Salem apt. That the only place I got my groceries, so much fresh fruit, vegetables and some thing you couldnt get Walmart. Im from the Caribbean and they had just what I wanted. Plus the prices were good. Will be looking for Compare Supermarkets to shop.

Great collection of Hispanic food. Lots of fresh vegetable. Butchery department that will cut the meat the way you want it. Fresh tortillas. A cafeteria style restaurant and fresh baked bread and desserts to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. They also provide notary services.

I just left the store. Only one cash register open, and that cash register didnt take credit cards. Before getting on line to pay they told me to go to the next cash register #2 ...and the employee told me they were closed...so they told me to move to cash register #3.. the same story. They have to get this operation organized. On top on that the store is not very clean and also the outside of the store not very clean either. Stores employees and the store sales is paid by the customer. An unhappy customer wont go back to that store. GUESS WHAT..I WONT BE GOING BACK EVER.!

Best place in town to buy meat fish and produce. Clean store with friendly staff and huge selection of international foods, medicines, medicinal herbs, and peppers. Another big plus is they usually have more cashiers available than most places do nowadays and there is no self checkout AKA you are the cashier now.

Had to return chicken bought that same day. Opened the package and it smelled terrible, then lifted a piece and there was GREEN chicken thigh underneath! The meat section is disgusting. Pork shoulder was on sale but did not buy because every single one was bloody and dripping all over. Obviously not packaged correctly. The whole beef section was brown already. We will NEVER buy meat from there ever again. And the manager just laughs when you bring it back like oh well. They obviously do not care. I do like the produce and the variety of products..the produce is usually a good deal but aisle products are overpriced. The cashiers are nice but the manager is a joke. Whoever is doing the inspection for the meat is not doing their job or being paid off.

The only time that I shop at Compare is when there are deals. Otherwise the place is way more expensive than any other store. The meats are always greatly priced...so shop here when there are sales and if you dont mind the smell.

Get my African groceries from here. But do not buy their fish! Make the extra drive to Super G in Greensboro for a larger variety and fresh fish!

If you can speak Spanish than this store is for you. Overall, its a semi-clean store, it is not that good at being laid out as far as isle space or the amounts of items that the employees or management tells them to put out. The staff isnt very helpful and can barely speak English or at least pretend not to if you ask questions. Could have been just the ones Ive spoken to at that time.The bathrooms are very dirty inside, the door barely locks, the sink is never cleaned well. They do have a good variety of product as one can imagine, some products are not seen in regular stores. They have a jewelry section as soon as you walk in that shouldnt be there but whatever as well as a cell phone cover and other products when you leave taking up space.Depending on what you buy, you can save or spend some money, their meat department is cheaper but also questionable, looks like the meat market in Winston Salem. What I mean is the countertop and display is dirty and not much looks like it is up to standards as well as their bakery. I wont buy those products there at all.

If you are WHITE do not go in this store. ANTHONY the manager is unprofessional and racist. Ive been going to this store for years with no problem, ever. Im 8 months pregnant so this is really the treatment I needed today. It started when he was rude when I spoke to him about the ride home when u spend a certain amount of money, he wouldnt even turn to speak to me. Then in Spanish approached my cashier saying I was trying to take the potatoes that were under my cart (already had a PAID sticker on it). So I told her she scanned it already, she charged me again then upon checking my receipt had to refund my money. They thought I couldnt understand Spanish and repeatedly spoke bad about me trying to steal then didnt apologize for being wrong. So when I was leaving I approached and told him and the other girl involved that Im not a thief and was offended but was ready for the ride home. He let me stand and wait before he let me know it would be 5 more min (smiling and being cocky the entire time). I asked him why he had a problem w me and what it was i had done to make him treat me the way he was. He waited till my (black, another reason i was treated bad) husband walked away to return the cart inside.. And approached me inside the van, yelling at me that a ride (advertised) is a favor to me. I asked him his name and he continued yelling and speaking down to me. The girl (black) he sent out at first to drive, because the man wasnt ready, was extremely rude to my husband and I, she clearly had a problem with us.. Again, NEVER had a problem at this store for years.. Again 8 months pregnant being treated like this for no reason.

Excellent produce. Canned goods are on the high spectrum butfruits and veggies prices balance your shopping experience. I must say I found a couple of canned items were out of date (2017) and brought them to staffs attention.
