I actually love this store and selection but today as soon as I hit the door instead of being greeted the woman shouted cash only! I reply ok thats fine and she says well you dont gotta get a attitude. Lady if you dont wanna do ur job, go home. Have a nice day. Wont be returning. Extremely unprofessional.

The discounted prices are good but I have never had a friendly exchange with the employees here. They seem unmotivated or unhappy with the job.🤷

Visited store on 03/01/2020.First thing I noticed was a sign stating the card machine is down and they are taking cash only. I entered the store and the shelves were nearly empty. I imagine Saturdays and Sundays to be the busiest time at the beginning of the month.The cashier was pleasant. I asked when does he expect the card machine to be up and running. His reply was, Im not sure mam, its been down for 3 ( three) weeks! What the what? On top of that, he has to manually calculate my items.So not only are my honey buns $1 and not two for $2 as I imagined, I cant shop because I dont carry cash. Very disappointed as this is the only bakery outlet that Im aware of in Winston Salem.

Ive always loved shopping here for breads and snack items. The staff have always been kind and friendly. The prices alone make it worth the trip!

Love it here. Great selection and value. Just about anything kind of bread you could think of. My wife and I buy bread to freeze in the freezer for when we need it. Snack cakes as well as good bargains.

Good prices on Natures Own loaf bread, 1/3 the price in grocery stores. Good prices on chips, cookies, pies and all kinds of goodies. Good to stock freezer with.

This location is on shattalon drive in Winston-Salem NC. The store itself has a very small parking lot and no handicapped door entry to assist. It does have good prices on bakery goods and bread because they get them close to being out of date and sell them cheaper. They close at 6 I believe but the biggest problems with this company is that they are fake. Merita bread store is actually owned by flower company or something like that, I applied for a pt job and got offered the job pretty fast. The problems arose when the manager John said that I would be a permanent To TEMP of temp service and NOT with Merita. They hours were never set by any means and the days varied making it impossible to work another job plus they dont pay but 8.50 an hour. NC needs to ban these kinds of places using only temp services and making ridiculous hours to keep to have a job.
