Nu Kitchen Designs did a complete remodel of our kitchen last fall. We got new flooring, a small bathroom remodel, and a complete kitchen remodel (new cabinets, backsplash, removing a wall, new counters, electrical work, paint, vent hood install). We had gotten a few quotes and after speaking with Josh and seeing his design ideas, we had no doubts about going with him. Josh is a very talented kitchen designer – he has impeccable taste, knows exactly where to spend vs save, and was able to give us a high end custom looking kitchen without the high price tag. He has his own cabinet shop so any custom work is done entirely by him and his staff. Not only is he an expert at design, he has the knowledge and skills to do the entire job by himself including electrical, plumbing, cabinet installation. This is very important because he was able to supervise the subcontractors work and fix any quality issues. His attention to detail and eye for design is something that sets him apart from the other companies, as you can rest assured that he is going to give you a perfect kitchen. We have now lived with our new kitchen for 6 months with very minor issues, that he came back and fixed. He stands by his work and is very honest. This project was done during COVID restrictions, and he was working with a short staff but was still able to get the job done without getting too behind on schedule. It was frustrating at times to be without a kitchen for so long, but it ended up taking 8 weeks, which was only a couple of weeks behind schedule. After talking to others that have had remodels, this is actually very common so we have no complaints. Just be patient and you will get the kitchen of your dreams. We get so many compliments on it and have been told it looks like a kitchen out of a design magazine!

We had Josh at Nu Kitchen Designs create a remodel design for our 30 year old bathroom. It was an extensive change that included new cabinetry, lighting, flooring, moving the toilet, widening the door opening, and widening the shower. We couldnt be happier with the results. We also had him redesign our master bedroom closet and tile the bedroom floor. When the work was complete, Josh personally inspected all aspects of the job. His attention to detail was superb! Josh is the man. I just walked in to his shop one day on a whim looking for possible candidates to remodel my kitchen. I did some shopping around with other contractors but didnt get responses for weeks at a time. As soon as i walked in he immediately scheduled and appt for the next day for a quote. While going through central Florida’s gauntlet of kitchen cabinets, gold was struck when we came across Josh at Nu Kitchen Design. After Josh’s initial visit we were left very perplexed by his design, asking ourselves “is it going to fit?”, “can he pull it off”, and “is it in our budget?”. After a couple weeks these questions were answered with a kitchen of our dreams. As nerve wrecking as it is to be left without a kitchen and then put all your trust into someone to get your household back into normal operation, leave it to Josh and his crew at Nu Kitchen Design to make the whole process smooth and reassuring as possible. Josh and Candice are a great team. First, Josh came to my house, looked at my small kitchen and was able to design the most amazing kitchen. I never saw the potential that he saw. When he and his team completed the work I could not stop starring at my kitchen. The kitchen looks so AMAZING. Everyone that comes over says that it looks like I took it out of the pages of HGTV (and they are RIGHT!) We finally have the Chefs Kitchen we always desired. Josh and his team worked closely with us to create a truly beautiful kitchen and hall bathroom. Each of the workers he used was nicer than the last and everyone took great pride in their work which really showed in the finished product. During the design process Josh saw and advised us on many small details that we would never have thought of as well as a major space change that completely changed the outcome of our kitchen. On top of that he even pointed out several times where he thought we could save money without sacrificing quality and we were happy to take advantage of them. Overall a really good experience and a great outcome!

Josh and Candace are two of the nicest people to work with and the team that they send into your home is reliable. We recently had our kitchen redone due to water damage. We first got estimates from several other big name companies and they were basically going to come in rip out the old cabinets do some texture here and there and install the new cabinets. Josh came in surveyed our kitchen, then he and Candace draft out a whole new design of a kitchen that is now so much more functional and a dream realized for my mom who loved to cook and bake. We decided to build our own house, not knowing all the million decisions we needed to make. I had no knowledge of kitchen design and what was needed, in stepped Josh and Candace! They took the time to design ( and redesign) our kitchen until we loved it!! Cesar installed the cabinets beautifully! My kitchen was a disaster. It had water damage from the previous owners that was never repaired. There were 2 cabinets that I couldn’t use at all. I had always wanted an island and had the design in my head of exactly the way I wanted it. I can’t begin to tell you how perfectly Nu Kitchen Design and Robert did exactly what I wanted. My kitchen is so beautiful and the island is so great. The island is 72 inches long by 38 inches wide. I have 2 deep drawers for my pots and pans, 3 drawers for silverware, a cabinet that holds 2 trash bins (one of regular and 1 for recycling). That was Robert’s idea and what a great idea! All of that and that is just the island! My cabinets are a light maple in color with crown molding trim. Granite counter tops that match the countertop on the island. I wish I could upload a couple of before and after pictures because the transformation is phenomenal! I highly recommend Nu Kitchen Design to anyone who wants a beautiful kitchen done professionally and with the care you would give yourself. Thank you Robert and Nu Kitchen Design. We are thrilled with our new kitchen!

An old 1950s era cast iron drain pipe had rusted out and developed a serious leak inside the cement block wall of the kitchen. Basically, all the drain waste water from two sinks and dishwashers from some long period of time drained out into the interior of the wall and flowed out under the cabinets and underneath the tiled floor. First step after discovering this crisis was to open up the wall and replace the cast iron drain pipe with PVC, then remove all the floor tiles that had been undermined by the water, remove damaged sections of drywall, and all the cabinets, granite countertops, etc. Then engaged a firm to carry out all the necessary decontamination and clean-up.Then, after speaking with several kitchen remodeling contractors, selected Nu Kitchen to carry out the rebuild/restoration of the kitchen. The entire process went smoothly and quite satisfactorily from beginning to end. Given that the kitchen cabinets were all relatively new and of very high quality, I wanted to have Nu Kitchen reuse all salvageable parts. Nu Kitchen was able to reuse items such as the cabinet doors and drawers while rebuilding only the cabinet interior boxes themselves, granite countertop sections were also reused where possible and matching new countertop sections were fabricated where needed. Josh engaged and scheduled all the needed sub-contractors for the various disciplines needed including tile work, plumbing, cabinet build, etc. All were excellent high-quality providers in their areas.Under Joshs coordination, all aspects of the kitchen rebuild were carried out efficiently and professional manner. Quite notable was Joshs close attention to detail every step of the way, his ability to problem-solve and find creative ways to achieve the desired results, and to ensure his subs were all committed to the same high standard hat he demonstrated. I was impressed at how he was able to fabricate some exterior cabinet panels and trim pieces where needed and achieve a perfect match in finish color/texture matching to the original.Joshs eagerness to accommodate his customers needs was impressive. As an example, at one point after the floor tiles were all installed, I realized that the color shade of the floor grout was lighter than I really wanted. Josh then helped me to look over various color samples and pick out a darker one that I would be happier with. He then brought in someone to tediously grind all the grout of the floor and then had his tile guy come back to do a complete regrout.Overall, I was quite satisfied in working with Nu Kitchen on this project. Josh has a good amount of years of experience in the business, he demonstrates practical knowledge and a good sense for knowing the best way to do things, to creatively overcome challenges, and to ensure that all details are addressed in a high-quality manner. I would recommend him for any project, particularly situations that may involve tricky issues to overcome.

From the beginning of my whole house renovation... Josh, the owner, was so inspiring and helpful on not only the kitchen... but other parts of the Reno. OMG! I have the most amazing kitchen, the day i bought the house josh was at my door waiting to take measurements. And designed the kitchen I asked for. Month later Josh designed the kitchen i never knew i needed!. I shopped around a bit and realized that Nu kitchens was the best choice. I felt Josh was realistic and honest and had both a creative eye but a great heart and would help me find the best deal to fit my very little budget. HE showed me how to demo walls and rip out cabinets and felt with my last minute changes like a true professional. I truly adore him and his family as some of the most quality people i have met in a long time!I was dead seet on a certain type of island. And he desgined a L shaped bar top with a custom wine rack that made my friends and family jealous, which is the best feeing ever. Then when i picked out and ugly back splash ( to be fair i did pick out a terrible backsplash now that i see the one i have) he was honest and said NOOOOO and I couldn’t be happier. It took awhile to complete. Josh made sure i had a functioning kitchen, but he became high in demand and only hires the best people he can find. So i knew if i waited I wouldn’t get a garbage job but a amazing well crafted kitchen. I got so comfortable with the amazing guys that came over i would just leave the door unlocked on days i had to work. to be honest the last day they were here working i felt like i was losing a friend. I trusted them and appreciated how hard they worked and the quality people josh hires. Hire Nu Kitchens, and take your time, because he walks through your kitchen with a fine tooth comb and fixes anything, even tongs you dont notice, he fixes! I spent 12500 on a new kitchen and my house value went up 36,000. Hire him! And when you meet Oscar tell him sharlie said Hello!
