He blew my expectations out of the water I wasn’t really sure what I wanted I came to him with a idea and showed me some awesome colors for my bike. Got my parts back 10 days earlier than expected. I was after a very specific look for my 2015 Indian Chieftain. I searched all over the web for custom painters; I was searching for someone who could give me something special AND maintain the classic look of the Indian motorcycle line. I happened upon Tim Alcalde of Alcalde Customs and started following his work on Facebook and visiting his website often. Once I talked to him on the phone, I knew he was the right guy to paint my Indian. Taking my bike from Omaha to Alcaldes shop in Chicago was not a big deal and it was well worth the trip. Tim and I discussed colors and I gave him some of my ideas of the look I was going after -- Tim did the rest. He knocked it out of the park; I couldnt have asked for more. Combine the copper leaf war bonnet and copper leaf stripe, that follows the sexy lines of the bike, with a traditional two-tone paint, add in some highlight and lowlight shading and you come up with a jaw-dropping, head-turning, award winning bike. No matter where I go, Ive got people taking pictures of my Indian. Tim Alcalde and Alcalde Customs will, from this time forward, be my painter.Im wondering what he might do to my Camaro...

Ive actually never written a review, good or bad, but I honestly feel this one is necessary. I chose Tims shop (Alcalde Customs) because of all the positive reviews that I read ***WARNING*** Tim and his shop are exactly opposite of everything Ive read. For starters, his work is AWFUL, and I have pictures to prove it. Secondly, this is one guy you dont want to do business with, hes all smiles until he has your parts and then youre cornered. I dropped my parts off in the beginning of spring 2017, he stated he was backed up but could finish my project mid July of 2017, he finally finished it September 12th 2017. Sent me pictures of the parts, they looked good from far away in the pictures. When I went to pick them up and pay the agreed amount, I noticed there were blotch marks in the paint job and I asked him what they were, he denied denied denied, I dont see anything, he said. He also stated “there’s no such thing as a perfect paint job, especially for the price I’m charging you”. On top of that, I wish I could post pictures of my text conversation with this clown. The way he talked to me through text was completely out of line, you dont treat/talk to customers in the manner he did, ever! Does it stop there? Nope, he wants to charge me storage fees for my parts taking up space on his shelves, we’re talking about a gas tank, 2 fairings, and small miscellaneous plastic parts, which I will not pay, so now hes threatened to sell my parts off. Now it looks like Im going to have to go to civil court to straighten this out, he tried having me sign a contract that his attorney drafted to basically sign my rights away and release him of any legal action I might have to take. To all those 5 star reviews, were you friends and family of this clown, did he pay you to post 5 star reviews??? Please post pictures of all the “amazing” work he’s done for you guys, because I didn’t experience that at all with Tim. Even his next door neighbors make fun of him, didn’t understand why until now, he’s a JOKE! My two cents to this clown is lay off the steroids pal, you’re squeezing out the little brain cells you have left. Have fun dealing with my attorney! I would give you negative stars for your work, negative stars for you customer service and the way you treated me. I will update this review when it is resolved.

The pictures I was shown of different parts individually did not even come close to how beautiful and amazing this is. I had my 2018, springfield Darkhorse I just bought painted by Acalde Customs Inc. We discussed a few options over the phone and came up with a plan. Let the team have free reign over the flames, Ghosted under a beautiful matte candy red. I COULDNT be happier. Every where I go people are just in aww over my paint. Took my Harley to Alcalde Customs for some work and spoke with Tim the owner. Very nice guy. Very personable and professional. Just wanted a nice paint job but Tim went above and beyond. Did some custom airbrush and other specialty painting as well as some minor body work and made my bike look AMAZING at a very fair and reasonable price. Beautiful job!!! Highly recommend!!!

My lower fairings originally were matte black on my 2017 ZX-14R. One day before work I just walked in talked to Tim and just like I wanted he hooked me up with a perfect color match to the factory paint and he got me done a week before the promised time. Bought a 2016 Indian Roadmaster with a phenomenal paint job by Tim. Get compliments all the time on what a beautiful bike. People take pictures of it all the time. Got a little scratch on fender during winter storage. Tim took care of it, youd never know. He truly is a master at what he does. Highly recommend his work. Best around.

Had my brand new 2019 Indian Scout bobber tank painted here. I was pretty nervous because I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it other than the design and how well it would come out. Absolutely gorgeous work and a really great awesome to work with! You can really tell when someone loves what they do and he poured his soul into the custom paint job on my bike. Anyone can paint something and make a design, but to have the eye to make it all flow together is a true talent. Very high quality paint and you can feel the difference between the clear coat he uses vs. stock. I plan to have many years with this work of art hes created without any fear of diminished luster. Its like riding a Rembrandt down the road!

I had some plastic damage on my VFR800. Deep scratches, light scratches, and cracked areas. Tim fixed my panels to look like new. The paint match was perfect. The job was completed on time and for a reasonable price. This was my first experience with Alclalde, and if I have any cycle bodywork or painting needs in the future, Ill be going back.

Alcalde Customs produces the highest quality jobs. I purchased a Cobra replica they painted over 13 years ago and it looks like the day it was painted. High gloss and not a speck of dirt anywhere. A beautiful job with not a raised edge to speak of between the body color and the racing stripes. High attention to detail. I would not hesitate to take a vehicle to them for future work.

After dealing with dent wizard at my dealer to remove a dent in my fuel tank of my 04 rc51 nicky hayden edition they chipped the paint, ended up bringing it to Tim worried that my limited edition tank will never be the same and all i can say is WOW amazing work he definitely surpassed my expectations it looks brand new. Tim is an extremely talented painter. Extremely. He saw my vision of wanting a retro cafe racer paint scheme and then added his own creative flare. The end result was breathless. He nailed it. His work is very detailed and impeccable. He did so well, I have brought my custom chromoly frame and swing arm to cover in clear also. We will be entering in World of Wheels 2020 (assuming I complete the final assembly on time) and will also be entering it at the IMS show in 2021. Tims work is so good that it would be a shame to not share with the motorcycle public. We are also going to run hard at the Bonneville Salt Flats. This bike will be all show and all go!

The owner knows his stuff!!! I wanted my bike painted in Mazda red and he told me his candy colors would blow that away. I trusted his knowledge of colors and paint and went with his recommendation. I was not disappointed, I was completely blown away. Not to mention his prices are great.
Simply the best! Chopped my fender and wanted to replace the matte black with a gloss black across all the tins. Told him I wanted to keep the rest of the bike as is (matte gold tan). He could have tried to upsell me on just doing an entire paintjob, but thats not what I wanted, so he didnt try and pitch it to me. I told him exactly what I wanted, he gave me a price, and I dropped the tank and fenders off. 2 days later he called me because he was looking at the paint and the pics I sent him and said he thinks it would look badass do a red pinstripe outline instead of the stock gold one. I told him I wasnt sure, he said think about it, take a photo and print it out or edit in on your phone/computer and see what I think of the red (or whatever color I wanted.) But he thought it would give me the old school chopped bobber look I was going for. Low and behold he was right! I called him the next day and told him that he was dead on, and lets do the red. He told me right up front that it wouldnt change the price quote, so there was no pressure. A week later I picked up my tins and was blown away. I had a completely different bike, in the best way possible. IF youre close enough, stop in and see him. If not, hes the same person over the phone, which is rare. When it comes to big money/time/investments like Motorcycle (or car) work its always nerve-racking dealing with someone new for the first time. I read all the reviews here and googled his name (Tim Alcalde) and Alcalde Customs and he pops up on multiple Motorcycle forums, it was enough to get me into the door. Tim did the rest after our first conversation. I did not know him before this, but he immediately feels like a friend after a few minutes of conversation. Cant recommend any higher. If youre even thinking about paint, locally or nationally, just give him a call. Youll be happy you did. Build a custom chopper in June of 2012. Had Tim do one of his fantastic paint jobs. Its a silver metal flake with tangerine orange tribal flames. The paint looks as good as it did when he finished it. I would recommend him to anybody. Tim also painted one of my sons bike. Came out great. He does a fantastic job and its done when he tells you it would be done. Im thinking of having him paint my car next LOL

One word sums it up “Excellent”. Alcalde Customs go’s above and beyond quality and service.I’ve had work done in the past and the result was superb quality. Diamond like finish that will stand up to the real world. My 2008 Electra Glide Ultra Classic was transformed once I let Tim loose with some ideas I had. He made it a reality and to this day (6 years later) it’s still awesome in every way. The only down side is that people keep asking me about the work done because they like it so much. I had side swiped a yellow concrete post outside my work and I had yellow paint all over my rear passenger side door. I called a couple places and found Alcaldes. Tim gave me a free estimate in 5 minutes and had my car done in an hour, not to mention how reasonable his prices are. I highly recommend for any body work your car needs.
After being screwed around for 6 months (winter) by the original painter, we found Tim & well Tim had the bike painted in 2 weeks. He had strip the paint that was peeling reprep it, sand it & paint.

I went to Alcalde with a pair of Arlen Ness bags, new, but very rough. I asked Tim to make them match the stock paint. He spent hours sanding, priming, blending and filling. The finished product looks incredible. When I put them on my 12 Street Glide, I swear the bike smiled at me! The attention to detail at his shop is 2nd to none! Thank you Tim!
