I needed to make some mesh wire baskets for drying my herbs in because I need to dried my trimming. They gave me a discount! Helped me chose wire cutters too!I know how hard it is to find wide mouth canning lids & they had some. I picked up the last box for $10. They have canning jars too.They always help me out when I have questions.

UPDATE: Management made contact and we feel much better on how they are going to handle the situation and deal with employee/ customer relations.One of the older gentelman goes around running up into your face and starts yelling at you to get a mask. Like 6 feet dude. I understand, we have not been under a rock for the last 2 years but the level of anger behind his yelling and threating words is horriably wrong. There is a right way of going about something and a wrong way. He seams to think he knows everything about the store when he has only been there a year or so. We have been going in there for 20 years and have known and liked everyone there.

No hardware store anywhere beats G. W. Hardware. I have very varied interests & talents that require that BIG CITY kind of Hardware Store. Im always looking for the odd, difficult to find pieces for projects. This store not only blows me away, its staff is friendly, fun and very, very helpful. I say go here first, if they dont have or cant get it. Give up. Going on line is were you risk every kind of fraud, weeks of waiting and then not getting what you seek. I needed a screen for a computer. I am now waiting for the fifth to arrive hoping this one is what I ordered, not used, not a reject that did not pass muster or some crook in a foreign country just taking money and disappearing that had no business besides fake web sites. G. W. Hardware seems like the kind of Hardware store I had 60 years ago, friendly, interested in your project and some hardware genius who stocks at least two of everything you could ever need! I try to stump them all the time and guess what? It pays them well to know me...THEY ALWAYS HAVE IT!

This little hardware store is kind of something special. I moved into town about 6 months ago and I frequent it for repairs. The folks on the floor are really there to help you! It’s great! And it may be small but they really do have quite a variety, even a decent rv parts section!

Very helpful people! This was my first time visiting the store. They took the time to measure and understand my double threaded rod (broken) that I am trying to replace. In the end, it turns out the rod I need is very specialty and they didnt have it. But I was able to find the other hardware items I needed. Will go back again!

Very helpful staff here! So nice to be able to go a local hardware store and get real answers and help instead of a big box home improvement store where its hit and miss. They helped me figure out everything I needed to install a new bathroom vanity with my old plumbing and I got done and done right! I am so glad to know theyre here when I need help with my future projects.

Its a great hardware store. The only thing is that they have like 10 workers at all times and its a little annoying when you have all the workers come up to you asking if you need help it might seem like good customer service but to me its really annoying

This is a great hardware store. They have things that the big stores are out of a lot of times. Very good selection of hardware items. You cant buy the lumber to build your house but if you need any small hardware item you should check this place out. Friendly, helpful people too!

We live only a few blocks away. I have an independent curiosity, pretty much know where things are in the store; even so the helpers there are really that in a nutshell. You know that handy place whereupon leaving; you are not concerned with the prices because long ago you have understood theyre competitive. Its just a home town place you hope never goes out of business.

What a great hardware store! ! If they dont have it, you dont need it! !! Found the lost aisle today. Just left of check stand. If it has to do with house cleaning potions or liquids, it is in this aisle. I was looking for some ant spray and there selection is huge. Spent 25 minutes minutes reading label after label. Finally settled on the 2nd one I looked at and it was on sale. Plus it was made in Washington. Thats local to me. Dont forget, 10% discount for seniors on Tuesday. Happy shopping!

Friendly staff, average pricing, and good inventory. This store sets itself above the average hardware store because of the people that work there. They are friendly and knowledgable. One gentleman relished being given a challenge to find a solution for an odd problem. The staff hustles. If they are not tending the stock, they are going around and making sure people find what they are looking for. One thing to note: they close very promptly, so give yourself enough time to get your business done.

There are stores around but I have to say this one has a great friendly staff always willing to help with any questions. I look forward to this place being my go to shop for any of my household needs.

This is one of the best hardware stores in the valley. Family owned and operated. Owners and employees call frequent customers by name. Lots of choices when looking for items to repair your home and property. A large selection of Milwaukee, DeWalt and Stanley equipment. Open 7 days a week but closed on holidays. This store offers a advertising insert every month with a selection of items specially priced for that month.

Great local store, good for a quick run-in for something you need. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Some items however are a little more on the spendier side, compared to larger hardware stores, like Home Depot. But all n all, great local store.

This is a great store! Like others have said, it has a homey old-town feel that is really lost in the newer hardware stores. Most importantly, the guys (and gals) that work in the store really know their products. They give helpful professional advice, and dont mind even just passing the time of day with you. They are always willing and happy to make sure your questions are answered properly. I always find myself just browsing for other items that I did not have on my list. I dont typically do that in the bigger box stores. Keep it up!!!

They have people there who know what you need and willing to make sure you have what you need. Two times I went there and told them what project I was doing and they got the best person there who had the most knowledge about what was doing to help me. And explained you to fix what I was working on. By far the best hardware I have ever shopped.

Today I went in and handed the gentleman running the paint department a color card with 50% written on the front in large print. I should have mentioned the 50% but took it for granted that it was obvious. Needless to say the paint did not match. I went back and said I guessed that was the issue and that I needed to get another can. The same guy came out to help and immediately became very abrasive, visibly upset, and said that I need to communicate better and that it was my fault. I told him it wasnt a big deal and I would buy the other can if we could just get the right color. Instead of working with me he started complaining that they were getting the blame and that he was the owner of the store with over 20 years experience, they were going to have to eat the cost of the paint because I didnt communicate, etc. essentially bitching me out. I finally said enough and told him I would be taking my business elsewhere from now on.I have spent several thousand dollars at this store over the past 2 years remodeling a house in Woodburn. Up until now my experiences have been good meeting many great employees that work there. It is unfortunate to see that the owner has such poor service. As an owner/leader you should be setting the example of customer service for your employees to emulate. Poor showing by the owner. I would recommend a different store.
