Seriously a great place to buy! I ordered a brand new sea doo and Jim Potts did a great job! He truly understands customer service and not adding BS fees to the price. Will definitely be buying here again when i trade this one in!
Tried to schedule service for a supercharger rebuild on my wave runner. Unfortunately the service department could not order the parts because brp discontinued making them. Very understandable. What’s not acceptable is telling me that the day before I am taking the wave runner in for service. When I called to ask for more information from the service department about the off brand parts they want to use they said they would call me back. They never called to talk to me. How could you expect customers to be loyal when you cannot get the customer the information they are asking for. I did appreciate the receptionist talking to me and trying to help me. The service department needs to understand that customers will not bring them work if they do not provide the customer with answers to their questions.
Had nothing but problems. Sold me a ski that he didnt even have a title for then 3 months later says he cant get it. Dont even get me started on the issues that RIGHT AND RUNNING ski had when I was told otherwise. Ski went to the shop and they couldnt even figure out a sime charging issue.

Drove 4hrs to Jims to purchase a new Can Am Max 1000 and traded in my side by side. I worked with Jim from only emails and a couple phone calls. I looked at this reviews and was a little worried of what I was getting into. The deal he gave me over emails was almost unreal compared to my local dealers and their deal was on a 850 as they didnt have 1000 in stock. As we got close I got an email asking if I was still coming in today and I thought well hes even following up on the sale so maybe this is a legit deal. When we pulled up the place looked nice and had plenty of room to unload and the area looked very safe. Jim was with someone so I started unloading my trade and went inside. Jim came over when he was done with the other customer and started right on my deal. This place was very nice and clean and had lots of different items to choose from. Im so glad I didnt take some of these reviews to serious cause they couldnt be more wrong. Jim was great from start to finish. The guys working in the shop were very nice people. Im not going to get to try the shop out but I cant imagine it to be any worse then the last 3 Can Am dealers I have tried to let maintenance my machine.Dont let the bad reviews run you away from this place.

Best experience ever! I have never personally met Jim but I feel like I know him, I purchased my 2021 Spyda over the phone, decided spontaneously that I wanted it customized and him and his staff jumped right on it. My bike turned out awesome all I did was pick the color I wanted and he did the rest, I trusted him and let him surprise me with what my bike would look like. Pictures does no justice. Dealing with these people was the wrong idea. I did everything they asked for just to be able to get a bill of sale and at the end didn’t even get a bill of sale. They have my deposit asked for my card number again and hung up on me numerous times. They lost a in and out sale. Wrong people to deal with.

This dealer is simply the best in my region when it comes to motorsports. I looked around at many other local BRP dealers and Jim Potts in my opinion is the place to be. They will work for you to make the impossible...possible. I dealt with Jim in sales and Matt in service who were very accommodating to make a customer happy when other competitors I called on acted careless.Jim Potts has a vast selection of everything...the prices are very competitive and the service is top-notch...done right the first time. They are knowledgeable, straightforward and trustworthy to make a deal happen and meet your needs. Overall always a great experience time and time again.
I have no idea what the others who gave less than 5-stars are talking about, but I can only attribute it, based upon my own experience, to them having unrealistic expectations. Haters gonna hate I suppose. This was by no means the closest dealer I could have gone to, in fact it was the farthest, I live in Homer Glen, theyre in Woodstock, but it was worth the drive. Jim is a wonderful guy, straight shooter, patient and more than willing to answer questions, explain things and try to understand your needs. I told him what I wanted and needed and asked him for an out-the-door price, and I got more than a fair price from him, in fact the lowest of any other dealer. I can say with certainty that any additional toy (ehhem, I mean Tool) purchases I make Ill be making from Jim!

I cant say enough about the professionalism and helpful attitude of Christina and the whole gang over at Jim Potts Motor Group.We are a boat repair business in Sarasota and we needed a Sea Doo part for a customers PWC. First, we went to our local Sea Doo distributor/dealer and waited 3-4 weeks for the part-- only to be told that it wasnt available and the factory had no idea when it would be. Obviously thats not going to be an acceptable answer for our customer so we needed to find another Sea Doo dealer who would be willing to actually help.We google Largest Sea Doo Dealer and Jim Potts Motor Group came up..From the first call everyone over at Jim Potts was easy to work with. Turns out the Sea Doo ECM we needed was actually on backorder, and the factory was actually being strange about when it might be available. Most dealers (like our local one) would have just thrown it over the fence and said well let you know when we hear something, but thats not what the JP team did. Instead, we got an almost weekly update as they pestered the factory for answers. It took a while, but because of JPs constant communication with the factory we finally got the ECM and were able to keep our customer updated throughout the whole process.We know how hard it is to keep up with a bunch of customers and how much harder it is when there are parts delays. The team over at JP really has their stuff together and never let up.Thank you to the whole team for helping us keep a customer informed/happy!!
I bought my cam am from them and last year and I continue to deal with this location even though I have a dealer 3 miles from my house compared to Jim potts motor group being over 50 miles from my house. The service team is solid and Jim is always pleasant and helpful.
Stopped in here to grab a helmet for snowmobile season. Staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in. We went right to the wall of helmets, I tried on a few sizes, and left a few minutes later with the helmet I was looking for. Quick and efficient and price was as described.

I can not speak for anyone else and I can only rate my experience at this dealership. I walked in with my lovely wife and spoke to the young lady up front. She want and got Jim for us. I asked about 2 can am spyders he had on the floor. We discussed prices and Jim went got got me the price with everything up front so I knew how much I was spending before I signed anything. I bought a bike and Jim personally came out and explained everything about the bike before I headed out. Thank you Jim for being professional because in todays world with everyone being so entitled and offended by every little thing it is a pleasure to do business with someone who still does business the old school way and knows the value of good communication. I will definitely buy from you again and if anyone else asks me about a great can am or ATV dealership I will send them your way.

I called in cause i was interested in a new can am ryker, i was advised to email jim cause he was with a guest, which i did, and he responded within 20 minutes, and about 4 hrs later the deal was done. He provided such amazing service, every email i sent him, he responded to, and he was very adamant about answering all my questions, and never once didnt get back to me. I live about 2 hrs from the store and they were able to deliver the bike the very next day. I would highly reccomend jim potts and his staff as they made everything so easy and were very friendly throughout the whole process, the wife will be purchasing a spyder in the next couple of months and jim definitely has another unit that will be leaving his lot. I requested a price out the door on an ATV. They responded with a work up. I inquired about new models coming in soon and asked if that was their best offer and didn’t get a response. I emailed back and said I was still interested and had not received an email back. They responded rudely with “no correspondence needed you asked for a price and that’s what we gave you.” Awesome customer service guys! Great way to run a potential buyer away! I’ll gladly spend my money elsewhere.***After receiving your response to my review, I must say, if your email correspondence was as eloquently written as your reply to my negative feedback for the public to see, your business would probably be much more profitable. There are many other qualified Dealerships that sell BRP products that would be glad to have your business and have worked hard to get certified. If you havent earned the status Jim Potts Motor Group to be called a Platinum Certified Dealership you shouldnt clam a status you havent earned.
This is a powersports dealership that has great customer service. I have gotten my vehicles serviced here for years and have always been impressed with how polite they all are and how respectful they are to my bike, car, boat and snowmobile! There mechanic Gator seems to really know his stuff and always does a great job. Jim, the owner, has taken time on multiple occasions to make sure that everything is being handled in the best way possible. The whole dealership is very courteous and honest. I cant recommend them enough!

I called when they opened this morning at 9 as I planned on buying a new atv, Can am, one which I saw on their website. I was told the salesperson didn’t get in until 11 and she would call me when she got in. Never did get a call so bought a new 2018 from a dealer in Wisconsin. Apparently sales are so good at this dealer that they can’t return a call, so can’t imagine what the rest of the company customer service is like. Very disappointed
Nothing short of fantastic service! They are closed on Sundays, and I sent a FB message to see if anyone would be around. Jim, the owner messaged me back and said he would meet me there. That in itself, is a huge customer service BONUS! When I get poor customer service, I try to be fair and consider.. Whats causing the problem? Are people are having a bad day? Are they really busy or behind? The place was basically empty so I was surprised that I got---The worst customer service that Ive ever experienced In my whole life!!!--- The other negative comments were right about this place, Jim was unprofessional and rude! This was the worst customer service i have ever had and will not be going back or recommending them to anyone i know. I was there two weeks a go with 35.000 cash in my packet to purchase 2 new rxp x 300 and lady from behind the desk she did not even care, she was completely not interested to do business with me and she was mean, than I asked basic questions about trailers she did not have clue what to tel me, she said she will give me call and never did ! Worst place ever!!!! STAY AWAY! Had my snowmobile looked at, Gator told me the sled had no compression after I told him I thought the fuel pump was bad. He wanted to charge over 2 grand for a rebuild that was not needed. Ended up going to another dealer who said compression was fine and the fuel pump was bad. The manager called me for a check up and I told him what happened and he never got back to me like he said. Horrible customer service

ZERO stars. One of the worst service experiences Ive EVER had. They tried to deny things that we were told over the phone and then tried to deny the things that were in writing, written by them! They continually backed up each other but didnt want to hear the truth. I feel that bringing my vehicle in for service was a scam from the moment it was dropped off. The service manger argued and and made rude comments when we asked questions about work performed. When trying to bring the situation of what happened to the Owner Jims attention, he yelled in front of others asking why he was being interrupted with that and that he was busy. He made no attempt to listen, he only made unprofessional comments back. I recommend a customer service skills seminar for the owner and employees of this business. I will never return or recommend anyone.

Tried to buy a pwc from them and just got the runaround all day. The 2 people who kept answering my calls could not answer any of my basic questions like exactly how much cash to bring after taxes and their fees or what the warranty was on a brand new unit and were absolutely rude. Im guessing they only had 1 salesman in the place and he was always busy and would never return a call.
I called them for service on a machine that i did not buy from them and they wouldnt honor the can am as i did not buy it from them. They said maybe in November. If you are going to spend for a utv or side by side do not buy here . The service is horrible and you will not be satisfied. I am sending corporate the email they sent to me about warranty on my unit. They will not even return the call.

My husband and I bought a Can-Am Spyder from Jim Potts Motor Group last year and we had a great experience with them.Their prices were affordable and the customer service we got, from Jim and his employees, was great.Now, every time we want to take our Spyder out of the garage for a weekend of fun, we go there to use their Spyder trailer rental program.We are very satisfied with our purchase and their trailer rental services and we will continue to be loyal customers of this dealership.
How they are still a BRP Platinum dealer is beyond me.They were investigated by BRP for scamming customers and registering vehicles to there address so they could write up great about themselves on the surveys (that is how you keep Platinum status).The shop is a mess (just go in and look) and the mechanic (and I use that term loosely) Gator likes to smoke cigarettes all over your vehicle as he is working on it.The guys is a used car salesman, need I say more.Ask Jim why he was investigated by BRP, curious what he tells you.Robs Performance in Johnson Creek if you want the best when it comes to BRP.

Bought a 2012 Can Am Spyder this summer from Jim. He was very fair about the price and even gave us a discount on the accessories we added. We were very concerned at first, since we had never ridden before. We talked to a few Spyder riders and they all spoke highly of Jim and Jim Potts Motor Group. Jim and all of the employees made us feel very comfortable and made the whole experience fun.When our new baby needed service, they not took care of us quickly, but picked up and delivered our Spyder. Did I mention that we live over an hour away? This is the perfect place for customer service where you are a name, not just another customer. Thank you Jim.

This was the worst customer service i have ever had and will not be going back or recomending them to anyone i know. i dropped my snowmobile off after crasing it this past winter and did 4,000 dollars worth of damage cosmetically to the sled. it took about 2 months to get back which was no big deal considering the amount of work they had to do to the sled. so after i picked it up the first night and bringing it to my work to see in the light i saw that there was still damage on one of the side plastics and my electric start didnt work anymore even though it did work when i dropped it off. so i took it back and they told me that it shouldnt take any longer than two weeks to get the part in and be put on the sled and it would be ready to go. so after one month went by i decided to give another call and they stated that the plastic had just gotten in and that they will call me when it was ready. so two more weeks go buy and i decided to call to see what was going on and they told me that they still havent gotten it in bc they are really busy. which i dont understand sense they have had the snowmobile for almost 4 months now and mine should be a priority sense ive been waiting for four months to get it back. but i wasnt gonna argue with them because now i just wanted it done. so two more weeks go by and i decided to give them another call to see if it was done and they told me no not yet but it should be done at the end of the week. so at the end of the week i got a call telling me that it was done so i went and picked it up the following wendesday and brought it home. when i got there every thing was fine no issues i pulled up and they loaded it into my truck again and i gave it a quick look over to make sure there was no damage on the sled which i did not see i just saw that it was really dirty and looked like it was sitting outside for a little while. so i took it home and put it straight in to my garage where it is stoared. two nights later which was friday may 8th i decided to clean it up and get it ready to be put away for the summer so i decided to start taking off my plastics so i can clean it up. then i realized my spare belt was missing. so i tried to call them and let them know what was going on but they were already closed so i decided to call again on saturay after i got off work but it was to late and service was closed again so i left a message telling them what was going on and asked them to call me back. so monday rolls around and no call back so i call again and i talk top a nice lady in the office was super apologetic abourt the situation and would have the service guy whos name is gator give me a call on tuesday when he got in. so 4 oclock on tuesday no call so i call again and i finally get ahold of gator and he tells me that he asked the guy who worked on my sled if he had takken off the spare belt ans put it somewhere. the guy told him no he couldnt recall sense it had been almost four months now that he had worked on that part of my sled. so gator tells me there is nothing he can do sesne the guy cant remember if he even took it off sense its been 4 moths and sense i cant prove that the sled came in with a spare belt on the sled. when i know that it was dropped off with the spare belt sense i saw it on the sled when i dropped it off to get the estimate and only took it home for one day when they told me it was done oriogionally when it wasnt. so basically they took it off and dont remember where it is so there is nothing they can do for me. well that tells me BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE considering i work in a service department for a car dealership and i know how to properly handle that type of situation i would do everything in my power to make it right wether it is to tare apart the shop and look for it or if we couldnt find it we would would get them a new one considering we lost it just to keep the customer happy. escpecially if a customer spend 4,000 dollars with us and were unhappy with there experience i would at least try to make it right. so basically i will never be going back ever!!!!
Took my older sled in for a once over, the only thing that got the once over was my wallet and wasted time. When I took it back their mechanic Gator just proceeded to jury rig my 670 HO and further cost me money. When Potts was brought into it he was for lack of a better an ass. I immediately contacted Skidoo and filed a complaint. How this jerk is still a dealer is beyond me. If your reading these reviews Jim piss off!
I had my snowmobile at this place and it got fixed but the problem is that Gator didnt inform us on how much everything would cost he just went and did everything without letting us know Nelson the other snowmobile place did the same thing and we even told Gator. We didnt want the same thing happening and getting charged $500 again . All he informed us about is the estimate on the snowmobile and the 2-3 hours of labor and nothing after that and now are bill is around $600 .I left my number at the office so they could give me a call back and Gator called me a few minutes after saying hes the manager and that he agrees with Gator but i wanted to talk to the ACTUAL manager. There a bunch of lying scaming people they just try to ripp people off and get money off of them.There workers are very rude and unreliable. They told us they will not give us our snowmobile untill we pay and im not paying some lazy people who cant make a simple call to give someone a notice on more costs and extra charges. they are very rude and dont do things right they kicked us out and wont give us are belongings.

I was told when I bought a Sea-Doo from them that service wouldnt be an issue. I had an issue and called more than once and was told more than once someone would call me to schedule service. More than a week went by and called again. Was rudely told they would get back to me sometime to schedule a drop off. Never heard from them.
