They got my AMC done in just a couple weeks. I put it in and it fired up no problems! People need to understand they’ve been tied up from the fire. I plan on sending more their way once they get things rollin again!
Awesome service and workmanship. Can’t wait till May to get my boat back in the water. Theses guys are great. If you have a twin engine or single inboard stern or v it will run better than new.
Total rip off do not do business with these guys they are every unprofessional and don’t do a good job and when you return your vehicle back they try to act like you did something wrong I recently won a civil lawsuit against Austin Jordan engines and to be honest even that was a rip off it been over 4 months and I’m still waiting on my 1700 they owe me from messing up my car don’t see why they would still be open after all the bad business they doing shame on you for taking people hard earn money
***update*** ****3rd update****Was told this is the place to take my car to get the transmission pulled and put back in to be sent out and repaired. Anywho I was told a verbal quote of$500 for the pull and put back. Plus the cost of additional fluids and parts. I NEVER GOT A WRITTEN ESTIMATE BY THE WAY. After the work was done my bill was $934. I needed new axels and fluid. There was an electrical issue they had to work on to get it to start. After I picked my car up it was POURING transmission fluid and it wouldnt start without playing with the shifter. So I called back and Danny told me to bring it in and they will take a look. He said it wasnt starting because of the shift cable and it wasnt his problem. He then started screaming at me over the phone. Called me a LIAR and hung up on me. So I took my car to 2 different shops. They told me who ever did the transmission install messed my car up oh and I only got 1 brand new axel. The other was junk yard part! So I called back and spoke to the owner Jason. **turns out I didnt get the alignment I paid for*** He told me told bring my car back for him to look at it. Well turns out it was the a switch on the transmission and the leak was unknown. They sent my car to another shop to get it done ASAP. The leak is fixed and it starts. Austin Jordons lost all the clips and screw that held my front bumper on. They tried to blame it on the other shop. I refuse to let them fix it! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!! I will never take my vehicle or recommend this place! They are so SLOW and dont keep track of anything. Extremely and I mean EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Save your self some time and a headache. Go some place else. Jason was a decent guy but Danny was a total DOUCHE! ALSO... THEY ARE WORKING WITH AN EXPIRED LICENSE!
I don’t leave many reviews but I feel this one is needed. This place is a joke- they rebuilt our engine- They did follow through with your warranty or for us at least but it was a huge fight. I feel as though it is we just to get us by until the warranty was over. We had our car in every couple months throughout the entire warranty. They had to “redo” our rebuild twice throughout this period and each time I felt as though we were bumped to bottom of their priority list. Every-time they had our car it was 3+ weeks with no loaner car. Workers were rude to us and “annoyed” every time we came in which made the whole process even more frustrating. Save yourself the hassle and buy a brand new motor and have it put in somewhere else!
I had a motor rebuilt, very happy very quick, excellent communication, and i just had a part warranted no problems. I would recommend them i was a mechanic 41 years .
Bought a car from them and within 500 miles the head gasket blew and dealer says this engine head has been badly repaired before. They won’t return calls and now their building burned down. Very fishy to me. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!
Recently had our plow truck motor redone, excellent customer service, they called and asked permission for couple things that needed replacement, motor runs fantastic would recommend to anyone
Jason did a great job on my motor. He was professional, honest and reasonably priced. I would recommend Austin-Jordan Engines to anyone.
Great ppl great work
Hi i dotn have an engine but i like jordan :)
The guys here at Austin Jordan were great. They had my motor done before expected due date. I saved thousands of dollars from not going to dealers. Good company to work with.
I have nothing but great things to say about this shop! I have never dealt with more caring and professional service in my life! I will recommend them to anyone and will continue to keep my business with them. They went above and beyond what they had to do, I’m forever grateful. Thanks again for your services!
Great customer service! I had my engine rebuild and they explained in detail what caused my motor to fail, even kept the old parts to show me so I could understand better. Best place around and great prices.
Austin Jordan Engines is where to go for your engine needs. This Team is A #1. The Customer service is all it should be and MORE !! I recommend them 100%.My experience with them was amazing.Short turnaround time, very reasonable in pricing and an overall pleasant adventure. These guys are honest, straightforward and caring. Treating you like a person not just a customer. THANK YOU Austin Jordan !!!!! Above and beyond !!
I’ve been buying engine components and engine rebuilds from Jason for about 10 years. The very few times I’ve ever experience problems he’s always made them right. So I personally highly recommend them extremely good people and extremely knowledgeable staff.
I had my 2008 Yukon XL 5.3L rebuilt two weeks ago. Been driving it since and it runs like its brand new. They quoted one week for the rebuild and delivered in exactly one week. I couldnt be more happier with their work and how good the truck runs. I have had a ton of oil and oil pressure issues with the engine and now wished i would have just rebuilt it sooner. Thanks for your great work!
Highly recommend, and the only place i’ll go to! Jason has over 30 years of experience!
This is not a repair for the feint of heart as a motor rebuild is far more difficult than replacing a radiator (not to disparage these mechanics either). After the motor is rebuilt and installed they will keep the car and run and test it until they are satisfied the motor is in proper working order. This period of time (about a week) is really a post-discovery phase and the motor may require a few extra parts during this phase. For instance, mine needed a new fuel line (leaking) and also a factory spec thermostat (running hot). These fellas do excellent work, are hard working and proud of what they accomplish. If you rebuild your motor with Austin-Jordan, I advise you to be patient and go with their expertise. They are accomplished and know what they are doing. Thank-you, A-J! You saved me a lot of money!!
Had my engine rebuilt there and I got great results, and good people
Very good service, great location, have always been very satisfied with work Ive had done.
I was satisfied with the head work on a set of GM 3400 heads. Done in reasonable time at a fair price. The cleaning job wasnt the best Ive seen from machine shops in this area, but I would use their service again.
Austin Jordan engines at 4259 Clyde Park Wyoming Michigan has got to be one of the best repair shops I’ve ever come across all their work is guaranteed and warrantee and those guys know what they’re doing they give great deals in the service you can’t get anywhere else when you’re looking for a true repair shop this is it one of those commercialized blow smoke up your rear end shop these guys Are true blue and their work is always guaranteed with a three-year warranty at my book there five stars check them out so get what you’re looking for
Lets start off with DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME HERE. I called and got a quote for a boar and balance job for a 350 said it would take 3-4 days to almost 2 months and a lot of headaches whole last 2 weeks I called every day and stopped in twice a week to complain to get things moved along lost / Misplaced my parts every time I called they did not know what stuff was mine. Finally got my block back and all other parts from them sending it out to get balanced. and went to pick it up and my CRANK was gone at the grinding shop. yes I did say it they balanced my crank prior to grinding it. THIS IS THE BEST MOTTO HERE CHEAP WORK AINT GOOD AND GOOD WORK AINT CHEAP. This place was cheap but I would have paid the extra money not to deal with the Headache of this place I will never go here again.
Good group of guys that take engine building seriously!! Always helpful and estimates are pretty close. If you need an engine rebuilt this is the place.
I am very please with the work that was done by Austin Jordan‘s engines they were very prompt and very professional showed a lot of caring and was on time and I gave them a high-five 100% satisfied
Easy to talk to and fast service. I needed an engine swap and everything is working great now!
As a business owner myself I know people tend to leave negative reviews while all the happy customers don’t say anything and just go on with life. Therefore, I would like to speak up as the happy customer and say that Austin Jordan Engines were very fare in price, they know what they are doing and were able to make my clanking noise running carpet truck with low oil pressure like new again by replacing and machining the old engine back to life…I could not be more happier with them…for sure if I need them again I have there number!!!For anyone who may have had a bad experience well as a business owner I would fare say no one is perfect but Jesus Christ!
We took in our 1965 Shelby Cobra with 427 side-oiler after it broke down on the side of the road. They thought they had the fix, we spent the money and they did the work, but come to find out that wasnt the problem. They kept the car for several weeks and worked on it until they found the true problem and then fixed it. They rebuilt the engine and cleaned it all up very nicely. They were very fair with their pricing, not charging me at all for the original troubleshooting and work that ended up not being the problem. Ive stopped in a few times since for oil and little things, and theyre always friendly, helpful, and fair with their pricing! I would highly recommend them if you have unique engine that has unique needs...something you cant just stop in at the nearest dealership for. Thanks for all your help!
I had a great experience with Austin-Jordan engines. I did my first ever engine removal of a 2.5L Subaru SOHC from a 2001 Forester. The head gaskets were bad, and for the money, a rebuild was the best option since the rest of the car was in good shape. So I dropped it off for a full engine re-build. It only took them about 3 days to complete the job, and I picked it up and put the engine back in myself. The engine fired right up and ran great. After about 1500 miles, the engine developed a slight knock. True to their word, they said theyd honor the warranty and I dropped the car off. They tore the engine apart again and fixed the problem at no cost to me. They even fixed a couple of minor issues at no cost as well. One year later the car still runs like new. Ive since referred a friend and he had a good experience as well. Ill go back to Austin Jordan in a heart beat. Nice job guys!
After getting huge estimates from a dealer and several repair shops to replace the engine in my car, they beat all other prices and they rebuilt mine and gave me a 3 year warranty! The other places wouldnt even give me a year warranty for a used engine. Austin-Jordan even changed my oil the first time for free so they could inspect the engine and make sure everything was running right. If i ever need another engine i will be there, and so will my friends and family. Thanks guys!
91 dodge stealth. Very reasonable price. When promised. Runs great. Recommend to anybody in need of engine. I wont hesitate to use again.
Dan and Jason told me 2-1/2 week minimum turn around to rebuild my seized 460 Ford boat engine. They worked very hard to do it in ten days, it was done in 2 weeks in spite of me providing the wrong engine coupler to install before dropping engine back in. They found the right part and solved the problem. They were kind, professional and kept me updated, great communication, the engine sounds excellent and has a great warranty. The price was very fair.Had an issue with the engine coupler and unfortunately the engine had to come back out, they were great about warranty and took care of it even though they were really not at fault. I have no reason to give anything but a good review. Thanks for taking care of me guys. I do not understand the bad reviews, these guys work hard.
Whatever you need for automotive motors, They do the best job. Have a good day
I had Jason work on my 5.4 L F-250 and he did an amazing job,That trucks engine was BETTER than a New one today!! I will always use them as long as I can!!
Great work by trained macanics. They do everything from small to large engine repairs and very helpful with anything you might ask about. Dan and Jason will do what they can to make your repair resonable and informative and always right.
People cannot understand you have to KEEP your receipts for all oil changes to get a warranty. Its in the one thing you sign. Stop being lazy, read your paperwork and keep your receipts so we know it was our fault that your engine failed and not because of incomitance to change oil at a respective time. Other then that- This business has the best prices, best staff, and best warranty if you oblige to the conditions you sign off on. (Theyre Not Very Strict)
I love this place they always get my car fixed and they are so nice to me. Jason and Dennis are awesome people and will continue going there for my service.
This is my 2nd motor that has been rebuilt from Austin Jordan. I had a 1997 GMC Jimmy and a 2008 Dodge Nitro 3.7L. Good work at good prices! If your looking for a motor rebuild call Austin Jordan they can help!!
Short story- they rebuilt my engine at a reasonable price.Long story- the service is slow, they dont remember simple requests, I had to go back multiple times afterwards for them to fix things that werent right, and they dont even know that a radiator hose is not supposed to touch a pulley when you put everything back together! Oh, and did I mention the service is slow?
Had these guys build a 4.0l jeep motor. Timing was off, valve seals improperly installed as in floating not attached to the guides, cracked head. Out of warranty by time with less then 20k on it. Street driven vehicle and I am a ASE master certified. I would be embarrassed by this. Never using these guys again.
If you want your car repaired in a timely manner, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE! The engine blew on our car and we needed a engine replacement. Our regular car shop contracted with Austin Jordan to do the job. What should have been a 1-week job turned into a 3-week job with numerous delays, excuses, and lack of communication.A few weeks later, I noticed an oil leak--the replaced engine had a leaking valve that needed replacing. Our car shop scheduled a repair with Austin Jordan (since they were the ones who replaced the engine) two weeks in advance, to make sure that they would have a time slot booked for it. The repair should have taken two hours, but our shop told us to expect two days just in case. Austin Jordan had our car for EIGHT DAYS and never touched it. Our regular mechanic finally went and picked the car up and did the repair himself and has now cut ties with Austin Jordan. If a mechanic wouldnt trust his car with Austin Jordan, should you?
Not only did Austin Jordan make our 1986 Olds driveable again, they rebuilt the original motor so that the numbers would match. Only 1 associated complaint keeps me from giving 5 stars, but no complaints on the rebuild!
Rating....unprofessional and sloppy. My car had permatex all over the paint and on the valve covers AND leaked antifreeze out of the intake. Not to mention water in the trunk!! Edit 2016...Pulled motor apart because it spun a bearing. #1 cylinder had hammer marks on end cap! What a bunch of idiots!! I cant believe they are still in business!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICES!!! TERRIBLE, JUST TERRIBLE!!
Dan and Jason have rebuilt and installed 3 different engines for three different cars ... an 06 Toyota 4runner v8 a 2011 Levin Subaru Impreza WRX turbo and a 2007 GMC Yukon and all three have come out excellent. I really dont understand the negative reviews because these guys have gone above and beyond and nobody can touch their prices.... on all three jobs when I called around everyone else came out 32 40% more to do the same work and nobody can touch there warranty 3 years unlimited miles and all you gotta do is change the oil on time come on thank you guys...appreciate your help on everything will continue to use you for all my jobs.
They really dont know what the f*** theyre doing only apprentices working there
Guys were awesome. Great communication and customer service. Had a remanufactured engine done on a 5.4. Triton. Was completed in one week. I would highly recommend austin Jordan engines.
After almost being ripped off by Tuffy,I didnt hesitate to call and set a appointment with Austin jordan engines! I explained the problem and I honestly appreciate the PROMPT, COURTEOUS and HONEST diagnosis Austin-Jordan gave me for my vehicle! They do great quality work here and for those reasons and based on my experience I will always recommend Austin-Jordan!You know quality when you see it people...P.S. they have PLENTLY of customer traffic so theres no reason and/or time to over price your vehicles estimate/labor5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you Austin-Jordan engines! With graditude - December 2017 Customer
They have done 2 motors for me 1 was for a 73 charger 383 and motor runs great I own a auto repair shop and will definitely use them again thank you again guys
The company they deal with to get my turbo for my car let me to a year nightmare with my car.. When my turbo first got replaced the engine light was not turning off and for some reason nobody could tell me what was wrong with my car.. So because they couldnt figure it out I took it to dealership and they had told me that the new turbo that just got released in my car was not good and had to come out and then go back to the company it came from.. To make a long story short that happened to me 3 times..The guys are nice at the shop but Im very dissatisfied about my car..Dont think they know how to work on a passat
Had a good initial experience. Then I had them resurface and re seal a set of cylinder heads for my subaru. Installed them and one of the bolts was missing, causing it to leak (stream oil) once it was warmed up (subaru variable valve timing solenoid shared the same passageway. Got that all taken care of, i figure people make mistakes, so I let it go. Called yesterday does your location do A/C recharge?. His reply well I cant get it in today, so apparently not I reply ok thanks and hang up. verbatim. Well actually I was calling to set future appointments have one that needs recharged and one that needed recharge and service (new orings on AC compressor). Been in sales a while, not the way to treat a paying customer.
Grab your wallet and women and children and RUN ! RUN FAR AWAY ! Take some time to read this.I had them do a fuel injected ford V8 for me last year and it blew up a week later ! Metal shavings in the oil and they had to strip it down again for a whole rebuild once again. They also had my vehicle for 4 weeks each time and had terrible communication.I spent close to 4K for this motor. Now both valve covers are leaking oil onto the engine block and one of the exhaust manifolds is leaking and motor smells of coolant when hot and i am loosing coolant. My guess is a head gasket now.I also found a piece of metal shaving in my oil filter just last week and i only have about 3K miles on the motor now as it was in storage for 6 months. They promise that they can do certain things and act very nice the 1ST time you call to reel you in.They also put a cheap starter in and thats failing now.Once they start working on your vehicle they will say OH we cant do this and that and its to late for you to say no thanks as they have ripped it apart already. Then get ready for the phone calls of the unexpected extra parts cost.I could bring it back for warranty repair but it seems every time you take it to them they break about 4 other things while trying to fix your 1 problem and it takes 4 weeks or more for a repair. If i could do it all over again i would of just went to ford for a new short block. When they gave it back to me the check engine light was on and had several problems and that was considered OK to them lol. They claim that the computer is RE learning its self but funny how when i took it back to them a week later they made 2 repairs and rebuilt the motor again. and the light was off then ! Hmm thats funny.Lastly guys dont send your wife here alone !!! She most likely will get just ripped right off.If you are an easy going person be prepared to get walked all over ! Big time. The shop looks derelict as hell not even close to the online pictures. Not a clean environment for sensitive engines.I have seen other repair places have a Very clean and organized shop while working on cars ! Its totally possible.Consider this your warning ! But if you are rich and have money to blow and waste then have at it ! You may have to get a lawyer if things get nasty.
I was quite disappointed at how my 1980 Firebird was repaired. They could not get the original carburator to work so they put on a new one. Found out later this was not at all the same as the original. Many wires/hoses not neatly arranged and some not even hooked up.The cruise control was not hooked up so now does not work. The transmission does not work properly with new carburetor. For some reason, they glued the gasket on the carburetor. Was everything done poorly? No. When the car was brought in it ran like a 3; now it runs like a 7. But certainly not worth the thousands I spent.Oh, did I mention they dropped the hood cover on the car resulting in several thousand in body damage?View Less
Great place to get your car worked on good prices phenomenal warranty
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! AUSTIN-JORDAN ENGINES WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY THEY CLAIM TO HAVE!!!!!Bought a Re-man Engine (5.9L 360 V-8) from these clowns (Engine + Installation Labor = $4,000+). Within less than a year engine lost compression. I was NEVER hard on that new engine and I babied it. Warranty supposedly states we have a 3 Year Warranty on this engine.I have ALWAYS changed oil every 3,000 Miles. We have not even had this engine even a year and I just was informed these idiots will NOT honor the warranty on this engine!BBB will be getting a review too SEE YA IN COURT BOYS!!!!!!PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS AND DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE!!!!
These guys are useless if you have the 3.6L VW Passat. They sat on my car for 5 (FIVE!) weeks before telling me they couldnt fix my engine. I kept hearing about some tool they were buying and waiting to be delivered. Then, Nope, cant help you. Heres someone who can.I might have a running car by now if they had just told me they couldnt help me.
I had my engine rebuilt at Austin Jordan 5/13. It’s on its 3rd time back in the shop for the same issue. The first 2xs my car was picked up right away and fixed within 2-21/2 weeks with them being nice and explaining everything to me, but this isnt the case this time.My engine went out again 1/24/15 I called that Monday and I was told they will have a tow truck to pick it up in a couple days because they were really busy. Well to my surprise they didnt I called they said they will have someone come get it. I ended up going out there 2/4 to see what the problem was and that is when someone came to pick it up.It is now 3/3/15 and I still havent received my auto. I get excuses after excuses saying part hasnt come in. Told them that is what you told me last week so I asked for the owner thinking that would help. But to my surprise it didnt he told me the same thing I told him Ive was told the same excuse last week. He did go to say the parts they received were defective waiting on new parts. Before it was over he more told me he had customers with appts. that is why my car isnt done. I figured when I called and told them that my car wasnt working that it needed to be picked up, which should have constituted an appt.I have a 3 yrs. warranty and so far I have been without transportation a total of 2 months with this engine rebuilt.
My experience with this engine builder and a marina in Coloma, Michigan is nothing but a horror story, my boat was out of the water for 76 days, I had two 454 crusaders engines rebuildt and the job was suppose to take 3 to 4 weeks, it took over 10 weeks. First new rebuildt engine ( port ) blew up not 30 minutes old in the boat and had to be taken out again and rebuildt the second time costing me almost $1,400.00 in new parts.Either this company or the marina is lieing about my reciept and engine specs paper work, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY WARRANTY PAPERWORK,RECIEPT OR REBUILD SPECS PAPERWORK AND IVE ASKED MORE THEN 15 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS to both partys. Before the engines were rebuildt my boat would run up to 4200 rpm approximately 32 mph after the rebuild port engine will only run at 3400 rpm and Starboard will only run at 3600 rpm 22 to 24 mph. I have taken the boat back 3 times to have it worked on at the marina and it still has not fixed the problemWHAT IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT GIVING THE CUSTOMER A RECIEPT FOR $4600.00 THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR THRU THE MARINA.Would I use this engine builder and marina again HELL NO. IT HAS COST ME CLOSE TO $4,000.00 IN EXTRA CHARGES TO GET A BOAT BACK THAT STILL WILL NOT RUN CLOSE TO WHAT IT USE TO
Very unprofessional business drop my car off there and was told they would look at it within A-day or 2. My car sat there for a week before they even looked at it. After they looked at it I didnt even receive a phone call with an estimate I had to call many times myself asking what was going on with my vehicle and if figured out the issue yet. After 1.5 weeks to get an estimate, I declined to have It repaired by them and took it to another shop.
Run like hell they fried my whole system yellow top battery altantor left out motor mount and cant keep my motor sealed and they reuse your old gaskets and charge you for new and messed up my custom exhaust and wont take any responsibility for their mistakes and they gave me used rods and charged me for new and 2 motors they suck slopy mancanics and on drugs
Took my cylinder head in to have a hardened steel tap drilled out and an insert placed. Got it home, and found the tang was still on the heli coil...whatever no big deal, snapped it off, then looked into the bore and found half of the tap still in the bore. They didnt remove it, they just drilled it down enough to put a helicoil in. What a ripoff
Mazda was in for a month under warranty they never called i had to, they should be shut down they all deserve a bullet to the head for what they did to me. THEY WILL PAY
Had my 5.3 Chevy engine fixed here instead of replacing it. Great service, and the misfire and oil leaks are gone. Thanks Jason and crew.
This place is terrible... your car wont be put back together completely
Worst engine rebuilders around. Motor didnt even last a year. If I could give the 0 stars I would.
Terrible service and overall quality on everything, I highly recommend never going here, look elsewhere at all costs
They spent a month NOT figuring-out my S-10 a decade ago. They literally wrecked by buddies WRX after a three-month ordeal in 2015. Dont go here!!
Car got fixed and was very nice
DONT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY...MOTOR DIDNT MAKE IT 100 MILES!!
Very poor service, lots of promises and not action, would not honor warranty, front desk was rude and very unprofessional
Great service friendly faces!
Awesome customer service very helpful
Great work, by some great people
John Hendrick is the BEST !
Dont do it
Bad service
