This store is amazing! Their service is first rate and they carry things that the big stores dont. I bought two thick-cut ribeyes. Best steaks ever!

Excellent locally owned and operated grocery store. No frills and may not look like much. BUT, this place has the finest butcher shop and fresh fish/poultry area on this side of the state! Everything any ethnic group could want. Steaks, cow tongue, chicken feet, sweet bread, head cheese, fresh slice bacon, homemade sausages. You name it. Also has a fresh produce and seasoning section with many non-standard items too!

Everything is fine, but I miss my green seasoning. Its been out of order for almost 3 week. Hopefully around the holiday stock up. Thanks you

First time stopping in. Big grocery store. Amazing staff just helpful willing to help you. Its a butcher market oh my it was huge. They had everything you could think of tripe, pigs feet, chicken feet, gizzards, liver, 50 different types of brats, and all a good prices. Just an amazing store just check it out if you ever in the area.

This is a piece of your childhood all wrapped up in modern convenience. Each and every time you come here, you walk in the door to a smiling face, helpful people who actually go out of their way to get you what need. If you want to be treated like family then come here and support people that reciprocate with great service, a clean place of business, and always know that youre business maters to them. This will be your favorite and with good reason.

Don’t go to this store. Was so excited to go to this place for the first time as the outside is so fun and inviting but the inside was less than thrilling. This store is what made me realize “wow, location really does have an impact on what kind of food you can access.” Nearly everything in the store is ultra-processed garbage junk food, all shiny and colorful and cheap and the perfect trap for people who don’t know better. Disgusting. And I should have known better than to fall for their meat prices too. My friend who is a meat-cutter had a bad feeling upon entering and seeing the large quantities of exotic meats and no plausible way for there to be enough customer base in the area. And sure enough, I get home and cook my bacon and it starts turning whitish-grey almost immediately after I start frying it. Disgusting and unnatural, they’re messing with their meat somehow. The only redeeming quality about this place is the produce, I was actually very pleased with the selection and the display, very fresh. But yeah overall this place looks like it’s meant to lure people in to buy garbage, wouldn’t recommend stopping here. Can’t believe this place is Spartannash

Lots of fresh produce. I dont eat meat but a nice butcher if you do. Surprisingly great selection of ethnic food. I will be going there more often. Store is clean. Staff is friendly.

This place is a great place to shop, it has been better as far as cleanliness and appearance in the last 8 or so years. The prices are not bad at all and the cashiers and employees are very friendly.

Meat market is on point. Good prices for everything. The store itself is pretty good, but the meat section is where its at.

My husband and I are from Brighton, Michigan. When we visit my sister in Wyoming, Michigan we will stop by the Steve DeYoung Big Top store. You can find just about any kind of meat at the store!Steve DeYoung is an amazing man! When my husband and I were shopping at his store, we found out he was there and was able to get a picture of him with us! He is a hard worker and a good person! While we were there he was stocking shelves and mowing the lawn! And we see a lot of Christian literature in his store which is pretty amazing for us!!! Glad to have met Steve DeYoung!!! Cool meat counter has octopus and chicken feet yummie and Chicago bratwursts is yummy gizzards off the bat good. Roman noodles and good fish to eat fresh as . Top 10. And international food. Area as spicy Candys from MexicoBanana s bag and the fish was good old gucsh. And good interesting deals food asWorld wise if could fry my octopus say yes or no. Is it joke as a clown. Because Wyoming has a lot of international food marketing and big top market it little family fare but more international family fare supermarket instead family fare in general. I will always choose Big Top for grilling choices. Top notch selection and prices that would make butchers cringe. While there meat prices are low the quality of product far exceeds big box stores.

I was looking for hog casings, and on a lark thought Id try this place. I looked around and didnt see them, but when I asked the man behind the meat counter, which they were in the process of closing because the store was about to close, he said they had them in the back. He weighed it out, and even put it in water for me so it was soaking before I even got home. To top it off they sell Faygo soda by the can. Aside from all that, I saw a wonderful variety of products at great prices, I cant recommend Big Top more.

I love shopping here, I can usually find a scooter to help me do my shopping. Thats very important when youre handicapped !!!

I feel bad to leave a 3 star on this, but its more to do with how the environment has got. Perhaps its just me but I always am being asked for money of if I want to buy a gold watch... always someone outside doing this, or someone standing in a parking place. And i mean like 4 out of 5 visits in 2 weeks I had to make my dad walk a bit further cuz someone was holding a handicap spot. Other wise I like the staff and its a great store thats been around for many years!

Love this place. It has a few items that are a tad high priced, but mostly I find great deals. The Discount Warehouse wasnt open today, but I found the best deal on Basmanti rice last year and been looking ever since.

Its very convenient and big tops also has a meat department wear they cut for you,its also cheaper than other stores

I like shopping at smaller stores and chains, but Big Top leaves something to be desired. Mediocre selection and none of the quality service and unique items you normally expect at a local grocery. Not great for a large shopping trip, but decent for a quick pick-up of necessary items.

Wonderful store. I love there selections so meats, vegetables. They also have many little items that you wouldnt think would be in a grocery store. It really is like being under a big top. Fun shopping. My second trip. I live 45 miles away in Muskegon. Not the big box stores.

So much better than a boring grocery store.And eerybody was so very friendly and nice. Well staffed and expertly merchandised. Super clean too and thats what you want these days. Best in class for supermarkets so far as I could see.

The sign advertised Riblets in the frozen section and I bought a box of 10lbs. however, it was Pork Brisket Bones. I called asked what did I want them to do stated to cut up the brisket then told they couldnt do it. I am very disappointed.

Went in there today 1/14/21 and the older lady with the hair ( cashier 112) was rude no reason.I was in store 10 mins total. She was implicating rascism.Smh. Im not sure if she was having a bad day or mad she was at work. Im from out of town.

It was my first time shopping in Big Top the place was very nice clean a very nice crowd my friend Mrs. Lupe Aromazol told me about the store.

There was only 2 lanes open to checkout and the line was over halfway down the aisle. I stood in an open line for over 10 minutes before someone finally came to help me. And she was rude . But the elderly gentleman who bagged my groceries was sweet and friendly. I wish I could have seen his nametag,because he deserves credit. But the store was clean and well stocked.

I love this store. It makes me sad the way they are handling this virus though. By not even asking customers to wear a mask in the store they are putting their staff in danger. People who wear masks are protecting others, not themselves. People without masks are spreading the virus.

Possibly the one of worst experiences I’ve ever had at a store. Gentleman behind the meat counter, John, was very rude and pushy. Acted like he couldn’t be bothered with proper service. Every time we asked him to get an item he would sarcastically respond: “Anything else?” Had to actually complain to a manager, which I rarely do. From the weary way they responded to my complaint I picked up on this not being the first time someone had a problem with this man. I hold people working in customer service to higher standards because I myself am a cashier. I couldn’t imagine acting that way with my customers. A damn shame. Big Top, do better.

I buy 2 pound of chorizo is pork sausage the was nasty they put to much vinegar i throw away i mess all my food up because of the sausage dont ever buy chorizo from here they dont know what are they doing

Great meat selection, but the store looks like it wasnt updated since the Carter administration. Everything looks and feels delapated. A well placed butcher store on 36th and Clyde would put this place out of business, because the meat counter is literally the only thing with setting foot in there for.

Fast place to visit

The pantry selection, in my opinion, is a little limited, but they more than make up for it with the meat, produce, and international sections. The meat counter and fridges are always full, the produce section is always gorgeous, and the international section is the best Ive found without going to an actual mexican food store.

I recently moved to Grand Rapids and was looking for a meat store and someone told me about it. The meat is good quality but the groceries are kind of high. I love going here.
