Would have given more stars.The employees are nice on occasion. I have brought in a few bins half full of clothes to sell all in gently used condition. I have maybe sold one thing to them, but on the last two occasions they have rejected what I have to sell. It just seems like they never take any of the clothes I bring and maybe the clothes just aren’t what they’re looking for??? But who knows, I have also tried selling gently used toys and they have only taken one of the toys.Be careful if you’re trying to sell. Don’t get your hopes up. I’ve seen some crazy looking clothes and styles with stains, holes, or stretched out necklines on their racks that are NOT gently used and then they hand me back my clothes which have only been worn once or twice. Not to mention, some of their toys are NOT gently used and also missing pieces, yet my toys that barely got played with get returned back to me.I guess their organization and expectation levels of what is sold and not sold needs to be more firm, and it’s probably just a location thing.

I really like this store. Prices are quite reasonable. Everytime I bring clothes, they are always able to buy a few things. Racks are PACKED which is both good and bad. Im glad there is so much selection, but it makes it slightly difficult to look. I do wish they would organize their shoes a little better in terms of occasion and season. And the dressing rooms could stand a little attention. The one I went in was rather dirty. But overall, I had a really great experience. Would definitely recommend. You can save a ton of money.

Nice store. I didnt bring the clothes in totes, which they prefer, but they took them anyway. The store is packed but organized. The handicap ramp is not convenient to the store, its a couple store fronts down.

So today I went into Once Upon A Child with a Baby Einstein Around We Grow 4 in 1 Discovery Center. My husband told me it’s time to start getting rid of the little ones things he no longer uses. I gave away what I could and had one item left. Its my first time in this store. I walk in… Several workers.. No greeting, no direction. I see a line of people so I figure that must be the direction to go.I get into the line holding my item that I walked in with. The line is moving but while standing there a lady walks in with a couple items and go where I assume I should have gone and sits her items down. I sought out an employee and asked is this where I go. She says yes. An employee asked if I was dropping off. I told her I think. I’m not sure how the process works. Between myself and the person with me we had the larger item and the pieces to transform it into something else. The lady told me that the item had to be put together. We explained to her that it was. The pieces actually transform it into something else. She came over and looked at it and explained that she couldn’t take it if she could not find the model or product number which should be on a sticker on the product. Why she assumed that item had no number and miraculously didn’t find one beats me. She flipped it over and looked. She then explained to me that they could not take the item because that number wasn’t there and they couldn’t look it up for safety hazards but it was cute. Now this item spent the majority of the time sitting. My baby played with it occasionally. We purchased it brand new from BuyBuy Baby so I knew nothing had been removed. We go outside with our item, flip it over and bammmm. There’s the number.I thought to go back inside to show the young lady the number and still leave with my item but I didn’t even feel like it. It just feels like she was looking for a reason not to purchase the item from the time we started talking about the item. Why was I asked if I was dropping the item if the item was inspected right then? The items the lady in front of me had were dropped off. I was looking to get rid of the item. Not pressed about the money but didn’t like the interaction. I’ll likely donate it. Thanks for everything Once Upon A Child!!! I won’t be back.

Awesome shoe selection! Got a nice stroller for a fair price as well. Cashier was very friendly and easy to converse with during my transaction. Only negative I had was that the prices were written in ink pen on the soles of some of the shoes. I had a very difficult time scrubbing the ink off a pair of soft soled crib shoes. Please stop writing on the items! Other than that I was satisfied and will be returning.

I walked in that store and fell in love. I could baby shop for hours. The employees were nice and helpful as well

I was so impressed. I brought in 5 tubs of items to sell 10 minutes before close having zero expectation they would process before a day or two. Although it was so late, the employees happily showed my daughter to the bathroom & let my son buy couple toys. I was so surprised when they said they would have my offer ready in a few more minutes! I never thought theyd be so efficient! They stayed late after close for us, let us look at the toys and buy some clothes! To top it off, they gave a great offer, paid cash on the spot, AND helped me carry the remaining to my car...all with a smile! I was so amazed and happy. Ive sold a couple times to them, and my experience has been great. I think they pay the most and buy the most. Thanks Again!

This location has gone down hill! Just brought in 200+ pieces, spent hours sorting into outfits etc. They divided up outfits, say they take year round items but only took summer, they were rude and never sent a notification when they were done, I showed up 4 hours later. Kid to kid has better customer service, definitely pays better and stays true to their word!

So i wasnt happy with alpine and today came to 28th location was greeted upon arrival and the lady Jazmine was able to update my number easy no hassle i appreciate the service she gave and the pretty green hair thank you

Organized, friendly, great customer service.

The girls in there all have an attitude, barely even greet you when you walk in. When it’s time to get rung up they all act like they don’t see you standing there waiting for one of them to take you at the register. Then they say they won’t take a certain toy because it’s missing pieces but the stuff that is for sale is missing pieces too. My daughter picked out a Barbie car that was missing the whole top and still was sold there and overpriced for that matter. Not coming back here again going to kid to kid next time.

Great selection, awesome prices, very strict on taking in clothes to buy, no bags, need to bring clothes in to sell in totes, freshly laundered folded. They are very picky.

Great place to go if you need a specific item or clothing on a budget, because they do have so much to choose from. That being said I still think they charge to much for most items. Simply because they move tons of items that are donated and purchased from people that bring things in. The person that brings things in to sell once upon a child most often dont even get there gas money back honestly. So I rate this place as okay.

I normally only sell items to them but I never purchase things! Today, my daughters and I were in the area and decided to stop in to browse and I am so glad that we did! All the items that I purchased looked practically brand new. And the store was very nice and organized. I really appreciate the experience I had today and would highly recommend them to anyone.

If I could give this store a 0 star review, believe meI would. Dont waste your time at this location. May as well just work for them if you plan on selling anything to this store. Spare yourself and go to the Once Upon a Child location in Walker, MI if you are in the area. (Otherwise known as the Grand Rapids location) This is location is considered (Wyoming) I brought all of my clothes to the Walker location and everyone was very welcoming and pleasant to work with. They bought almost $500 in clothes from me, with absolutely no problems what so ever. I figured I drop the rest of my stuff off to this location, and see if they were interested in anything before I brought it to donate. They were rude right from the get go. Mind you everything was in the same condition as it was for the Walker location. I should have just walked out in the 1st place, but chose to stay. All of my items were laundered, folded, and separated into seperate bags inside a tote not just by size, but also by season. I dont know how much easier I could have made things for them. They told me my stuff wasnt ready to be sold!?!?. It wasnt laid flat inside a tote, so they didnt have to go through bags. Seriously, would you like me to go behind the desk and enter the items you would like to keep into your system and place them on a hanger for you. 4 totes of clothes.. for $16 here at this location.. What a waste of my time, because they dont want to open a bag.. Walker has always been pleasant, always complimented me on the quality of our clothes. Just yesterday they took 4 totes full of clothes from me, and today they took another 2 totes from me. I was complimented both times, and written 2 separate checks for almost $500 in 2 days. Thank you Grand Rapids Once Upon a Child. I will continue to bring them my business, and I advise anyone reading this to do the same.

I love to shop the sales when they have them for my kids. The clothes are all in pretty good condition and they carry lots of nice brands cheaper than you would buy them new! However I do find some of the items very overpriced. My boys grow through clothes so fast Im trying to save as much money as possible! So, theyre great if youre looking for clothes in good to great condition, not always the cheapest place to shop used.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I brought in a bag of childrens clothing to sell recently. I was told that I would need to either wait in the store (without leaving) for 45 minutes while they sorted through the items or leave the bag and return the next day. I returned the following day to find a chaotic & unorganized mess and was told that I would need to wait in line to find out what items they would be taking. They took about half of the items which was absolutely fine. Then they LOST the most expensive item I brought in. A pair of vintage Made in England childrens Dr. Martens shoes. They returned one to me, having lost the left shoe. After searching for a few minutes, they then offered me a store credit. I highly recommend avoiding this store at all costs. Having been in other locations around the country as a customer and having been impressed with the professionalism of those locations, this was an absolute joke. If I could give negative stars, I would. To be clear, the young lady who tried to help find the shoe was not in any way to blame for the disastrous experience.Never. Again.

Love shopping here for my kids. Great place to buy clothes. Worst place to sell clothes. Same line always. Sorry we cant purchase these items due to stains, a little too used.... I make sure I go through the clothes I try to sell. No stains, not dirty or dingy. No threadbare spots. Used. Just used. Not perfect. Not new. USED. But still in good enough condition to be rethought and reused.

I appreciate having the opportunity to buy gently used clothes for my children. The clothes are nicely organized. Not a lot of room in the aisles, so be prepared for that.

My husband and I went here for the first time this week and were pleasantly surprised. Considering the amount of inventory they have, the organization is impeccable. It was so easy to find what we wanted and the prices were outstanding. It may be a little pricier than a goodwill but the quality and selection is unbeatable. We will be returning.

I love the new store! Very clean and organized. I have been a customer for years and I like that I can basically trade out my childrens old clothes for new ones. Depending on the day I can find really great deals. Especially the $1 clearance sales. I love their book selection as well. I do wish they were better at buying clothing because Ive had nice stuff turned away.

We really like this store! You can get a lot of good quality and great condition kids stuff here pretty cheaply. Theres such a variety of stuff and youll always find something. Id like it if the toys were better organised as its hard to find things there but still a great store!

Uh, mom of 5. Need I say more?! Aisles and aisles of quality used childrens clothing. They have a great reward program that seems to always have %20, %30, or %40 sale underway. Buy, wear, sell back, repeat! In addition to clothing, they have great strollers and every kind of toy imaginable. The old location had a childrens corner, which made shopping with young ones easier, I do miss that. DO NOT sleep on their end-of-season fill-a-bag-for-$15 bucks!

I brought 3 totes of summer clothing to once upon a child Wyoming. I understand they are busy but I watched and they only looked at the clothes on top of one of the totes and pushed the rest aside. When I questioned this they said they looked at everything and did not want any of it. Took my almost brand new keens and other items elsewhere. What a waste of a trip. Will never takes anything to this store again!

They have so many good quality items of such a great variety. You usually can find what you need or want. There prices are pretty good as well.

Great place with a great mission! Its like shopping on sale all the time. And you get cash for selling your kid stuff! Its hard to find places that do that for kid stuff. The prices are great, the store is well kept, and the employees are very kind and helpful. I recommend for anyone, no matter what your financial situation. The products are great quality.

A wide selection for purchase but they are pretty strict about what they buy from customers. My wife and I brought 4 bags full of baby clothes that our daughter hardly wore and they barely took any of them. We were informed that most of them were outdated or Not in style and that some of the stuff were pairs that werent matched in the bags but we could match them up and try to bring them back again. That one kind of threw me for a loop. On the plus side they did give us $20 credit for what they did take so I guess that isnt horrible. Still the customer service is lacking some friendliness.

I have shopped there for years, and have never been disappointed. Everything is in great shape. They always have a nice selection. It saves me $, and my children and grandchildren are following in my foot steps. Thanks for the recycling and green ($) way of shopping. I just got a crib, highchair and swing for a baby shower for less than crib new and all in like new condition!

I love this place for the most part. Prices are good, store is clean and the employees are super helpful. My only complaint is selection. How often go and not be able to find what I need at all, example, looking for Jean shorts at the end of March and I can’t find a single pair that will fit my daughter there just aren’t many to choose from

The employees were very kind and helped me find what I was looking for. Everything is of great quality and very well organized. I was able to find a lot of brand name clothing that had never even been worn for a very good price. I do like the thrill of garage sale hunting, but with two young babies in tow, it was very convenient to be able to get everything I needed in one place. Saved me the gas and hassle of getting kids in and out of car seats.

The prices here are great. Like most consignment/thrift stores, you should go here with your heart set on a particular item in a particular size. For example, i recently stopped in to purchase a one piece snow suit (size 6-9 months) for a friend and they didnt have one in that size. This is still a great store to stumble upon great deals and quality clothing!

I like the variety and the items are clean. BUT, we purchased a jacket for my grandson, that we had to return the next morning! The zipper wouldnt stay fastened.I also purchased, a jacket I bought for my granddaughter. The store didnt have the pants hung up with it, but I was charged for a snowsuit! This place is so convenient when you wake up and your kids dont have any pants that fit! Selling things to them is a different story, they can be very picky and kind of cheap. I prefer to shop with them and hand down the old stuff, they reject more than they accept most fo the time.

I like the pricing and coming here but I really struggle to understand why toys in particular are stacked so messily high and deep that you cant clearly see product. Its overwhelming and frustrating to sort through. I wish they took in less but of better quality. Several items were dirty and clearly unwashed before being donated (fabric seat of a bouncer was particularly gross).

Crowded, hard to look at items since so many things are on high shelves, shoes are all shoved in bins which is a disaster. Sometimes items have stains or wear and tear. The sales and clearance items can be great however.

Very nice staff. Fair prices on most items. They mainly carry low to mid grade clothing (Old Navy, Kohls, Target), but thats what most people buy. Clothing is in very good condition, but tightly displayed. Ive gotten a few very good deals. Highly recommended.

Its an OK place to find used clothes. Theres a big selection but everything is so cramped I hate shopping there. I stopped in for there labor day sleepware sale. Turns out most of the pajamas are tagged as one piece suits so the sale doesnt apply. I had 4 things picked out from the pajama wall and after waiting in line at the register the employee informed me they werent part of the sale. I left without purchasing anything. I much prefer kid to kid just a few miles down 28th st.
