I had a blended ice coffee that was very good. There is a lot of room inside here. Good place to meet with people same enjoy the historic architecture.

Best coffee in town! Ive been a loyal guest since they first opened! Was able to sit for awhile and get dinner much needed catch up done for work. Clean, safe environment.

Such a beautiful cafe in Yakima county, they had so many nice options for coffee, but what really made this place special was the different kinds of tea they had - jars upon jars of tea leaves. We got a pumpkin spice latte and blueberry tea, both heavenly delicious. The server was very nice as well. The interiors of the cafe were huge with antique decor, chandeliers and plush sofas, the ceilings were so high, Its rare to see such architecture for a cafe. You can also rent a room for group study sessions for $10 an hour. There were many students there working and studying. I would definitely recommend.

Really good blended iced coffee. I added an extra shot and a little bit of white chocolate powder. It was much better than the espresso Frappuccino. It was about the same price though.

I bought a cheese danish and it had mold. I got it warmed so theres no way he didnt see it before serving it. He did NOT throw out the rest of the cheese danishes in the case. In fact he sold one after to an older woman.

Im not much of a coffee drinker, but this is a cool spot! Located in an old train station, this is one of the best places in town to meet and get a drink. Fortunately, they have lots of great non-coffee drinks! On this particular trip, I opted for the soda stream soda. They had a bunch of different flavors. Others in my group got coffee drinks and were all very happy. North Town Coffeehouse is a great place. There are a ton of tables and comfy chairs that you can sit at! Groups of all sizes can find a comfortable setting here!

What a cool building! Huge, warm, welcoming converted train depot. Many delicious snacks and meals for vegetarians and GF. (Well, the yummy Perfect Bar, anyway) Big squashy chairs and set up for singles who need to work or small groups. I got a large shot in the dark with steamed soy. Awesome.

I dont drink coffee but this coffee shop is must visit. Used to be a train station back then ( I believe in 1889) and now a cool original design of old American interior. I had homemade pistachio gelato and coconut. It was sooooo good.PS. You can see the train pass the building of you spend enough time therePSS. They ask you to flush twice of the toilet but you have to check it out why ;)

Wow! This is a GEM! Such a hip coffee house in the old train station. The side rooms are available for special use. It’s always fun to be there, the music is great and the staff is pretty friendly, too. It is almost always filled with students, gamers, wedding parties and casual visitors. Sunday night is open mic and there are very few seats available, so get there early. There are talented performers, so you won’t be disappointed. I love this place.

You cannot beat the atmosphere at this place, the beverages were phenomenal, could use more staff to cut down on lines, but the beauty of the building makes it easy to just enjoy even the most draining waiting for coffee frustrations.

Went there with my sister while visiting her in yakima. Cute little coffee shop. They have a kids room... it is a little questionable. The bathrooms were not so great either, but the drinks are nice and it looks like a fun trendy place.

First time here! My mother in law took me. Had black iced tea with an organic sugar. Dont really care about anything organic but it was good! Would definitely go back! Friendly, smiling and efficient staff.

Charming and cozy, this historic building is something to see. An old train station, now a coffee bar. I was thrilled to see that Stumptown coffee is an option, so delicious! Staff is friendly, atmosphere is laid back.

Support a local legend if you can. If not just a good location. Try the gelatto if you like. Had pistachio the other day. Rich and definitely an Italian immigrant cause that was not an American ice cream experience.

One on the coolest coffee places I have been ever been to.First time here- I am visiting from out of town, and it was recommended to me by friend. Its a beautiful old rail station, well lit, friendly staff, ok coffee.What made it for me was: the students studying, the regulars (old people) playing chess, and the larpers playing “Magik” at the big table.Happy day. :)

This is a very cool place. I will actually think of things to do on my laptop just so I can come here for an hour to enjoy their coffee and treats. Its just nice to do work in an environment like this.

Out door seating has shade and misters.Gelato and some small selection of food items are on the menu as well as the usual coffee, tea etc. They also have cold brew coffee on tap.The building is an amazing historic well preserved train station.

Very cool atmosphere. This is definitely one of the coolest coffee shops Ive ever been to. Its a cool experience. It was a chill, calm place when I was there. The perfect place to get some work done. Its one of the most expensive coffee shops Ive ever been to though, and they have a pretty limited menu, from my experience.

Super cool location. This awesome coffee shop is located in the oldest building in the valley. The coffee is good, the staffs nice, and its a great place to study. Its conveniently open until midnight, and is populated with lots of people studying or quietly gathered in groups. Its the perfect place to hangout and read.

Great old building with lots of character. The coffee shop atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxing. The new kids room is a great feature. They serve Stumptown coffee, which is a favorite of ours. They have tasty hot chocolate. Whenever we stop in Yakima its on our list to visit.

Northtown is one of the best places in Yakima to go get a coffee and chat with friends. Being in the historic section is also cool because you get to see remnants of Yakimas past. Overall Northtown offers great food, and coffee/tea the only improvement I can think of is additional seating.

Cool hang out..hip and social. Great atmosphere. I recommend for study groups. First dates.. And after lunch or dinner conversation stop before your night ends.

North Town has a wonderful setting that makes it wonderful to meet up with friends, study, relax, etc... all while enjoying a great drink. The staff is great, and there are many tables and chairs to choose from in the spacious facility. A great variety of drinks decently priced. A definite must go to if you are exploring downtown Yakima! So nostalgic!

I love the environment and the people who work there, i know that everytime i go in there I’m gonna have a great time ordering and paying for my coffee and that’s another thing the coffee is great as well as the service.

Normally I am a fan of North Town, they have been a wonderful asset to the community... and now I have a 6 month old baby...We went on a family outing, planning to hang out in the kids room (dad get some work done on the computer while baby and i play). If she were crawling already I would have left in an instant - it was filthy, way worse than a McDonald’s play place! The floor was a gross looking carpet with an area covered by foam mats that probably look awesome when clean, but looked as though they had never been cleaned. I spent 30 min on my hands and knees scrubbing 4 square sections to make a suitable place for a child to sit (thankfully she just sits at the moment). The toys were great, but also filthy. It was a germ cesspool. I get that kid areas are usually a little icky, but this was obviously an uncared for place. We left after I finished scrubbing my 4th square foam tile. North Town, please give a little love to your kids area! It’s a great idea but you’ve got to use materials that can be clean, and you need to do regular cleaning. We probably won’t return as a family until baby is old enough to play elsewhere.

Large open space with a lot of seating.

Usually I love this place and my barista is always friendly but tonight they had someone I had never seen before chomping gum rolling her eyes as we order and take forever to the point we just cancelled our order because we felt like we were inconveniencing her. I hope this isn’t a sign of how it’ll be from now on :/

So, I love that you can hang out here for as long as you like while you have lunch and coffee but the furniture is old and the bathrooms are usually really dirty. This place has so much potential but they need to step it up a bit in style and cleanliness.

Good service, excellent coffee and other beverages . Filthy windows lack of pride in ones establishment I guess. The place is in a dirty area but they manage to keep the place sanitized, clean and very comfortable ... But people dont see that when your view to the inside as well as out side into inside is cloudy and distorted . But hey its a great place to study relax or to get that quick daily fix . Please clean you windows . And not your self it looks like youve trying and only making it worse .... Thanks

Decent coffee cool location, three stars based on that alone. However I had to order something I didnt want and yet still paid full price.Ive been to places that offer something else at the price of what you wanted. Not offer something else and have you pay full price.

What a charming little coffee house in Yakima! The atmosphere of an old train station turned into a coffee shop is so much fun. They have a good chai, and the gelato flavors are also good! This is a great place for meetings because theres a lot of space and its not too loud.

I remember in the mid-1940s taking the train from Tacomas Union Station over the mountains to Yakima with my mom to visit her dad, and siblings. I was so pleased when I moved to Yakima three years ago to find that the old station was still being used. The coffee shop is nice, staff friendly, prices about average. Lets keep this historic building going. Drop by and have a cappuccino, plain old coffee or whatever. When you do, let your mind wander and imagine it bustling with military and USO folks. Some even say the place is haunted. And dont forget during warm weather to meet up here with Ellen Allmendinger for a historical tour of downtown Yakima. Fun!

Amazing! Was in town for a skills USA state competition, as the only lady of the group I forcefully made a group of young men enter this beautiful coffee house. I can honestly say both the guys and me found the service, coffee and atmosphere wonderful! I was quite pleased with this especially since they thought I was taking them to a Starbucks (ew)

Great coffee selection! Typically brew Stumptown (a Portland coffee company) which is one of my favorites. Very small parking lot but street parking is also available. So many seating options to choose from: small/larger tables, high tops, couches, etc. all with outlet access around the perimeter of the room. WiFi available with purchase (code on receipt). You can also place your order online.

A great place to come and study, etc. Super cute renovated train depot and has the most room of any coffee shop in town! The coffee is good. Adriana, my fave barista, always takes care of me!
