I love to come in the store.Everything is clean and fresh. Is a wonderful place where you can find all you need on each department. The best is the kind people always near you to help and keep everything on 💯.
Grocery pick-up services have been very good. The groceries are always at my car within 3-5 min of arriving; employees have been very friendly and thoughtful; and so far they have done an excellent job selecting produce - which was my biggest concern when I started getting grocery pick-ups! You are also able to order no-food items. This service has been great with small children in tow since I live an hour from town; it’s one less unbuckling/re-buckling of small children, so thank you.
Well stocked. Great deals on meat. Of note: they have Hatch Chilies right now. As a southwest transplant this was a welcome discovery!
Beware!!! This Fred Meyer is not able to do business with United States money. If you wish to pay cash, they will only round HIGH and take your extra money. They demand you round HIGH, in their favor every time. No common sense to it at all. Simply robbing the public!
I used to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store. However, in the past couple of years, it has gone downhill for MANY reasons. First, their shoppers are incredible thoughtless and completely unaware of their surroundings. They block aisles with their carts, dart in and out of elderly customers and are of NO help in finding an item even though their actually holding an electronic device and their entire job is that of locating items. Secondly, their sale prices. The way they have items marked is so deceiving and I always wonder how many people pay the full price because they didnt know there was a catch to the price. Example. I was in at Thanksgiving and as soon as I walked in door, I noticed a table of small pumpkin pies. I noted the price was $2.99 and thought about it but decided to look around first. Looked around and went back to grab one and noticed in small print that to get the sale price, you had to download the digital coupon. How many catch that!??! How many elderly looking for a small pie, are going to be able to download that couple??!?!? And thennnnnnnnnnn, theres the bulk buying. You see the sale price but you have to buy 5 or more items to get that price. This isnt Costco. If I wanted to buy in bulk, I know where to go. And thennnnn there is the crosswalk issue on the east side/entrance. It practically took an act of God to make that happen even though that is THE busiest entrance with the pharmacy, deli, Starbucks, gas station, etc... I completed their surveys every WEEK and made note in the comment section about the simple lack of a crosswalk there for an entire year +!!! No response. No crosswalk. Nada. Finally, I decided to mark the box that states I would like to be contacted about my issue. Lo and behold I get an email from the manager stating she couldnt believe that there wasnt a crosswalk there (even though theyre present at the other entrances) and thank you for bringing it to our attention. Huh!?!??!? Ive been filling out the surveys making note of the crosswalks for over a year and yet, this is news to her!?!? That tells me they simply do not care about feedback. At all. If anyone had cared to read the comments, they would have been made aware. I am giving this Fred Meyer 1 star and its only for the hardworking employees who are friendly. I use this store only as a last resort for an item or two...when before, I would do my entire weekly shopping here ($150-200/wk). Sad.
10/01/2021 (4 Stars)Good place to shop.
I hate shopping. My wife knows this. So does Fred Meyer. Those two powers combined and found a loophole where I can get all the groceries and not screw it up!Fred Meyer pick up is the best. I have three kids and a pickup. I never imagined a scenario where I would willingly do the groceries, but its a heck of a time to be alive! All the folks that Freddy employ to the task of assisting this wonderful process meet the mark of professionalism. Courteous and prompt, they will assist and explain any subs. Its been my fifth pick up and they havent let me down!I look forward to next time.
Monday, about 7:00 pm, the store was having the Monday blues. Rotting lettuce, got last bag of on sale baby carrots. Found a container of sour cream that wasnt crushed, passed on the store brand of tortillas. I had a store coupon for Smithfield Deli meat, 8 ounce. Deli staff didnt know where to find it. Id searched pre-packaged meats, and Deli counter and surrounding shelves. Just before checking out, I asked 2 staff members there -- they were chatting with each other, so I broke in, asked about this product. One of them went to Deli, looked where I had looked, on shelves around Deli area. She gave up. I still have the coupon. Not sure Ill go back? Prices on many items arent completive with other grocers. 1 lb. strawberries, good selection, $1.25 was best part of my visit. So, 2 stars.
Crowded, overpriced, miserable. Aisles are choked with shoppers with no other choice, made worse by the flimsy cardboard displays cutting traffic flow in half. Carts filled with empty boxes and pallets of product lying on the floor waiting to be shelved are a common sight.Hey, heres a tip. Need some basic kitchen utensils, or maybe some small bathroom accoutrements? Go to your local dollar store, they probably have the exact same stock for 1/10th the price.I grew up with this store, and its heartbreaking to witness its slow slide into being another WalMart after Kroger bought the franchise years ago. Or maybe management just doesnt care. Ive seen good Fred Meyer stores, in places that arent Yakima. Here though, there isnt any competition in this corner of town. People shop here because they have to.
Lots of people not wearing masks still a year into this. No employees making any effort to require masks or remove shoppers. There are other ways to shop for those who refuse to wear them. Be better Fred Meyer. Youve lost another shopper.
Great places for a one stop shopping trip. Clean store, well stocked shopping carts, wipes, baskets, etc. Friendly staff willing to go the extra miles to help us customers out. Thank you all employees at Fred Myers for suchlike great hard safe healthy work. Clean restrooms. Well stocked items on shelves. Gas station on same lot.
They need to take care of their customers and employees! When the checkout line is backed up they need to open more than one checkout line!
The store order shoppers are rude and block already tight isles. They just plow thru and if you try to communicate they just put their nose in the air ignore you.
Quality store. This store offers an asian sushi counter with freshly made rolls, meat market with competitive prices, and a wide variety in the adult beverage selection. Overall, Ive always enjoyed shopping here.
I had the worst experience of my life here today! Terrible customer service and the manager that spoke to me told me that there were signs for me to read. I got off of work and made a deal with my son he would buy3 Pokémon cards with his money and I would buy 3 for him because he did good this week. My son has autism and is 10 years old. I was tired from working all day I did not pay attention to the signs we went to cash out at the self checkout the lady told me that there was a limit of 2 so I gave her one back. Then I proceeded to pay she then turned and snatched all the Pokémon cards from my son when I told her he was going to pay for two she said no smiled and took them all.
I shop here 50% for groceries, store is very clean and 90% of the employees go over and beyond their job,I live 2 1/2 miles out of Selah,I called the deli today and asked if they had and mandarin noodles,( I know they sell them), but wanted to make sure they had some so I do Id not have to drive there when transferred to the deli, the person I spoke to did not give her name,I asked if they had any mandarin noodles, she said mandalin noodles? I said no mandarin noodles she continues to say mandalin then started giggling said she did not know we hat I was talking about, then some other girl hot on phone never gave her name asked her the same question she responded with I dont know if we have any I asked if they had any potato salad with bacon, again she responded with I dont know I responded back to her you work in the deli you should know if you have potato salad with bacon and mandarin noodles She hung up on me I do not like being laughed at and hung up on both girls very rude,I have worked in delis most of my life, you never ever treat a customer the way I was treated this is twice I have been treated this way very unprofessional they need to be re trained,I always buy from the deli I have even seen employees not wearing gloves slicing neat, not washing hands and then serving salads,or when wearing gloves, do cing meat, not changing gloves and then slicing cheese or serving salads.PLEASE retrain your deli employees, criss contamination is very setious
Its a good store havent had any issues only problem is its far from where I live.
Great quality produce,, great health and beauty stuff, has No Taste in clothes.... technology area is alright-great movie selections.
I got me a nice new table and chairs there today! I love it!
Love the option of Click List! Usually a good experience. Today was one of the best thanks to Liam. Professional and friendly. Thanks!
Its OK thanks theirs a cashier Juanita at self check out her and another cashier Connie treat me like Im a thief shoplifter Ive always bragged how great Freds is now I tell people dont go to self check out they Will treat you w like shoplifter I use regular check out where Im respected this has been going on since cov19 started half tempted to go to my attorney because it profiling and harassment this morning I was coming out of check out and youre cashier Connie gave me a dirty look her and Juanita treat me like dirt I live close back shop daily today 12 - 28 -20 probably will be my last visit
Great place. I go every week
The store is dirty, the card payment machine at the cash register was so dirty I could hardly read the screen. This was once my favorite store in Yakima but its very dirty and in times of a virus I expect one of the top stores to do better. Much better.
We shop here. A lot. As far as grocery goes in the Yakima Valley, it’s hard to beat Freddy’s. Wide variety of food products, good selection in the other departments, and good deli items. The gas discounts are great. We had a really pleasant visit the other day. Our kids were on the verge of a meltdown - the bimonthly grocery trip isn’t exactly the pinnacle of recreation for young children. Jeff in produce made the day simply by saying hello, making them laugh, and giving them an apple and a small bundle of grapes. Instantly quiet, instantly satisfied. His small and random act of kindness changed the whole dynamic of the shopping experience. He is a real asset to your team.
They have just about everything you could need. Groceries, general goods, gardening stuff, hardware, clothes, etc. I hate going to multiple stores and hate how slummy Walmart is. This place is much better maintained and generally has a different crowd that shop there.
Nice clean store. employees very friendly
Electronics department is poorly ran. Went in last night. Spoke to a young lady that was working the department about purchasing a laptop. She explained to me that they had NO stock of any laptops on display and suggested that I drive to Ellensburg and check out their Fred Meyer for my item(great customer service there lol)Came back today and asked the woman(older gal this time)working if I could buy one of the display laptops as this specific item was discontinued. The woman told me I could pay for it now. But I would have to return tomorrow to pick up the item as she claimed to not have the tools required to retrieve item........ lol 🤦♂️
Fine.
Terrible place to shop. Employees are rude and snobby.
I’ve shopped at Fred Meyer for the past 14 years. I started shopping with them when I moved to Southern Oregon from Louisiana. I started shopping the Yakima store in 2016 when I came to the area as a travel nurse. I now live in the Yakima Valley. This store is always clean. The employees are typically friendly and personable. I’ve had a few cashiers that look grumpy and speak very little but that is not the norm. The store is well stocked and has the best produce. I purposely come to Freddie’s for the produce. I haven’t found a grocery store that has great produce and reasonable prices. If you haven’t shopped at Fred Meyer or its been awhile since you shopped here give them a try.
Busy but still my favorite place to shop when you are not being tailed by an employee thinking you are stealing. I hated that.
I love this store, but it looks like they don’t know how to scan the deals at the door end up getting hit with the regular prices. Very disappointed not even worth going back to stand in line so they can fix the error. You lost a customer.
Great service and helpful employees. They have a great deli for a quick meal or even a fast dinner idea for yourself or a large family. Easy to navigate through the store also has just about everything you might need in one store.
Great place better then (Target) quality and quantity
I just want to say thank you to the night manager for going above and beyond his job to help a customer. My two grandchildren have allergies to reg. milk. So on WIC I get goat milk. Only its supposed to be skim milk. They only had whole milk at that time I went. WIC wouldnt approve and I didnt have the money. This manager rang up the milk, 13 quarts, over 56 dollars and paid for it himself. Literally brought tears to my eyes, this was a blessing to my family. Thank you and I hope you are blessed 7x more than this in your life.
Just want to say that today Lucas (our cashier) went above and beyond the call of duty. My grandson was done. He needed food and a nap and was screaming. Lucas grabbed an extra cart for my daughter as she had her hands full with the little guy. We were both impressed with how we were treated by Lucas
Everyone masked! Looks like100% compliance! Dont let up— Hold the line! #MaskUpToOpenup
Hours listed is wrong. I even called to double check and they still said they close at 11pmTheyve had plenty of time to update since covid.
Good place to shop for groceries.
Got a great pair of Chinook work boots for $90. Everywhere else I had looked at boots were well above $200. These came with steel toes, and toe caps to protect the leather when you kneel. I didnt have to buy them then glue them on. The boots are still going strong 4 months later and I wear them every day. Will be buying them again. Thanks Freddies for a great product and a reasonable price. Come in black and tan
Empty shelves as usual
The other day I went in to get shoes for my grandaughter.im not good at this at all but there was a red haired young lady in the shoe department who sized her foot.found the boots she needed put them on her and tied them! You might want to hold on to that employee she is unique with patience and kindness Thank You so much.
Friendly and kind staff who are always helpful. Lines are never too long and lots of self checkouts make the checkout time even shorter. Love this Fred Myer!
Where’s my freaking mochi ice cream. They said they had it online but when I went to the store, where was it? No where. They really need to keep they’re website up to date sis. Thank u so much
I have shopped at this store for years. They recently added click it. 5he store now is terrible to shop at. Click it charts everywhere. People stocking shelves. You cant get to the shelves or move easily down the aisles. Stuff everywhere. Also this summer their fruit and vegetables have either been over ripe, watermelon especially., or unripe. Vegetables rot before you can use them, and we eat fruits and vegetables every day. Thoroughly disgusted with Fred Meyer.
Bought things, nothing went wrong, not much to report.Hard to feel passionate about a grocery store.Although they did have delicious barbecue cooking out front as some kind of promotion. Which was great.
Fred Meyer is a good place to stop for a few items, but I wouldnt do my entire grocery shopping here. Although the location is convenient, its a little on the expensive side. If you make it through the atrocious parking lot alive, youll find that the store layout (recently changed completely) makes no sense. When the store gets crowded (evenings and weekends), it is difficult to get through the store, let alone find anything you need. I gave 4 stars because customer service is great, and this is truly a one stop shopping store and the clearance sales in the clothing and household sections are pretty good.
A great one stop shop. They have a little bit of everything here. All kinds of produce & organics foods that are hard to find at other stores. Customer service has been good each time Ive visited. Thanks man.
It has an open well marked space for everything. The flower shop reminds me of the shops I frequented in Europe, the east coast, and Pike Street Market. We were just passing through, but we found everything we needed, and a flat of geraniums. The cashier wasnt flustered at when I hit the wrong key. Just a wonderful experience.
This store has gone downhill in my opinionA death in their parking lota shooting and and several robberiesMakes me feel unsafe to shop in and around this area of high crime and easy access to get away.Id just go to Rosars or West valley Walmart.
We love the Friday deals with the app. Great place for shipping with kids
They are out of a lot of items but they are still a good place to shop. The people who shop there are mostly wearing masks as opposed to the Walmart stores with masks are the minority.
They have motorized carts at both entrances and I counted 6 broken! I keep asking when will they be fixed? Mechanic coming tomorrow. Not there. One cart only has one light on all the time when charging so Im sure those people think its charging its not. One has full charge but doesnt move. Holidays soon so when will carts be fixed? Too cheap to buy new ones. There are 2 new ones but they broke. Expensive clothes. Whos gonna pay $83 for a nite gown? Do have good sales most of the time.
I love this Fred Meyer! It is my Go To store for practically everything, including clothes. Yes, I could probably find some things cheaper elsewhere but I have found shopping around costs fuel, my time and in the end, is not much cheaper than if I had just bought it during my regular weekly shopping trip. And I love the fuel points I earn there, so yes, I fuel up at Fred Meyer and use the discount. I even shop at Fred Meyer when I am out of town. I super like the Yakima remodel. Well done!
Please learn better customer service skills!& I was just at the deli. Good chicken, but poor service.
Fred Meyer is great. Went over to Starbucks tonight (which I NEVER do, not a Starbucks fan), took the girl AT LEAST 5 minutes to acknowledge me, and she wasnt busy by any means. She was only capable of making one drink at a time, maybe shes new? Didnt try to have good customer service once she got to me, made me the wrong drink, and only wanted to talk to her friend the whole time. I was a barista for the last year. Its not THAT hard.
Fred Meyers is a good place to go to find groceries and other food items along with clothes and other random everyday items. The service is usually fast and has several self check lines. Prices are a bit higher than Walmart and other locations. The only downside at this particular location is the parking lot. Its layout is rough and often times can be quite congested with traffic. All in all its a fairly good place to go for groceries.
Their fast, friendly and always willing to help me
Great store. Misses many of the specialty items that I like but if you need meat and produce or a BBQ or a little lamp or clothing. They have a pretty good moderately priced selection.
99.9 percent great. Some need to smile more, even if they do not generally do so. Never know when someone young or old just need a little boost to brighten their day.
Beer selection is awesome and low priced in some cases. Produce is good and there are over 10 different departments you can spend your money in.... might want to bring a lunch, its a big store.
We like our Fred Meyer very much, we do most of our shopping there. Very clean and good selection. Good access from freeway.
I like shopping at Fred Meyer. The carry a large selection of natural products such as Jason products, Burts Bees, essential oils, tea tree, kobutcha, vitamins, minerals, the list goes on and on! Their produce is wonderful. A large line of cosmetics . There are shoes and clothes for everyone. Electronics, fine jewlery, pet supplies, large garden center and of course, their groceries. Great place, great sales!
I have come here both in person and have even used their new online pickup service.this grocery store has some of the most incompetent teenagers in the entire valley.for example, this last trip, half my load of 200 dollars worth of groceries had to be carried up stairs without bags because the idiot teenager getting paid a good wage.to bag groceries couldnt focus on her one, simple task.looks like Ill be sticking with Walmart.
Good store. Just a few things I think the manager could attend to. The apparel department is almost impossible for a disabled person using a motorized cart to navigate. Most but not all team members are respectful, helpful, and kind. We had a measurable amount of snow and whomever plowed the parking lot and dumped the snow into a handicapped parking spot should be dealt with, severely. I have a feeling the manager is a millennial which accounts for a few issues.
Freddies always has been and will be theee best :)
Parking is always a problem. They were having a sidewalk sale and that created more problems as people were out in the parking lot tying up traffic trying to look at the clothes. Fred Meyer workers follow u around, making me feel like a crook! Prices used to be really good but now they are expensive.
Regular Fred Meyer, nothing special beyond that which makes Freddie’s special already. I am glad for this location as it is convenient to me. They do have sushi.
Not my Fred Myers. Ask for peppermint plant. We dont have any. Walk out side. The front door and there they were.
I have shopped at fred Myers for years. That have just added more self checkouts.... just to be clear I dont shop there for their prices, they are not cheap. I shop there for convenience. Tonight I was in line for over 20 minutes because of their lack of cashiers. I will be.looking at the lines before I decide to shop there from here on out. If they are huge I will go elsewhere. And I will save money!
We enjoyed our shopping day at Fred Meyers. Found some great clothing deals and outfits to go with our 5 dollar nickel and lead free jewelry. Both the guys and gals in our family was able to match up our clothing Fashion with our 5 buck bling fashion from Forever Be U Beautique Paparazzi Jewelry. We did shop Fred Meyers jewels as well but found that our affordable fashion jewelry gives us the best bang fo our buck. None the less the sales on back to school fashion was great!
Not bad at all. Really clean store considering location. I shop there all the time and will continue to. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
I love Fred Meyer vs any other store in town. Great selection, awesome healthy food section. Will go here over that super center.
While their prices are not always the cheapest, they are conveniently located. Their food is so good and fresh. They always display items the customer requests, and the pharmacy is great too.
Very good selection on produce and fruit. In and out in 20 minutes. Interior product signage was great.
I always enjoy this Fred Meyer. Their new lay out has got me turned around a little bit. But, its a great store with good deals on quality products.
One of the better places to shop in yakima. Prices are a tad high but the selection is good. Oddly enough, the deli has good sushi and they have a decent seafood counter.
Its a one-stop shop. The organic foods section is quite good, and I love that they set out the ugly fruit for people. ..especially children...to snack on.
Usually love shopping here but lately everytime I go shopping there items that are on sale dont ring up on sale and its several items. Thinking about changing grocery stores.
Very professional services and excellent cleanessness. Always great experience coming here.
Deli is very appealing. Fresh produce is ripe and ready. Self check out is convenient. Good selection in all Deptment s.
Came in to buy a swamp cooler. Talkedwith your associate, who after learningI lived in Packwood he recommended that I go with a portable air conditioner instead because of our humidity. Great call.
This is my favorite Fred Meyer because its in Yakima. It is truly One Stop shopping. There is no fake news here
I was visiting from out of town so I didnt know my way around the store, but a courtesy clerk was quick to help me find what I needed. The prices were reasonable and check out was fast. This is the store I shop at when Im staying in Tieton.
Freddys in Yakima is awesome! I love the produce department, with good prices, quality, and many organic choices. Healthy, free fruits offered to kids in addition to the gratis bakery cookie. Those goodiws help parents shop longer. ;) Excellent organic, specialty item area. Its my favorite local place to buy Zevia, because of the selection and its often on sale. Digital coupons add a lot to their already family friendly pricing. Easy, one stop shop for household goods - selection can be sparse, but is handy. Clothing available for the entire family as well. Overall, a great place to shop!
Just had our worst trip there to date. Im all for the personal shoppers for people, but when a store hires workers without common courtesies that block every aisle is something I dislike. Spent most of our time weaving around the personal shoppers and their oversized carts that seemed to be parked everywhere.
Love Fred Meyers this is your go to store for all your shopping needs clothes, foods, furniture, paint, home decor, electronics, you name it they got it....been coming here for the past 10 years....iam very loyal to this store...prices are great staff are very friendly I love there beautiful produce its always very fresh a d reasonably priced! they even give kids free fruit its awesome as a mom of three it is very appreciated that they give out a fresh healthy snack only store in town that does that!! I honestly could go on and on about Fred Meyers lol but i would definitely recommend this store anyone youll love it as well!!!
I grocery shop at least once every week. Today when i went, WOW prices have increased! Before too long we will be eating less and less because no one can afford the cost.
Fantastic store and one of the few in Yakima that still has self-checkout. The only grocery store I visit normally. They dont keep their beer cold enough though.
Straightforward store, can get busy during peak hours of the week.
Everything you need and a bunch of s#!ff ya may not. Great 1 stop type a place.
Guy Mason what a nice guy. Very very helpful. Easy to talk to.
They have everything I need, staff are friendly, helpful and kind! Thank you guys for making it easy for me..... 💛
Im super upset i thought i was excepting my gas points but no it added this $14.99 to my total for sone something put in my gas omg im sure i have done that every time and had no idea i was doing that. Well im super upset i went in to customer service and she was like well you said yes. I will no longer go to Frec Meyer. Super disappointed in them.
Its my favorite store in town.... I especially love their health food and organic sections
Grocery, clothing, and housewares mega store. The prepared deli could have more selection. Bakery and deli counter available.Convenient from the interstate.
The placement of aisle displays makes it very difficult for people with carts, strollers, etc to get around. I had none of those and felt like I was playing Frogger. But, as always, lots of good things to buy. :)
