I initially called them to have my car looked over after I had recently got an inspection done at another place. The other place rotated my tires and then less than a month later, my tire flew off. I was very happy to walk into Witmer Automotive and to see all of the certifications on the wall. I also had the opportunity to witness them discussing the requirements of their mechanics in order to get a job there and they require many licenses and a good amount of experience. Theyre tremendously thorough and they have many deal opportunities, like a referral discount. Highly recommended.

This place is great! My car broke down a mile down the road and I was able to get it towed to them to diagnose and fix it. Honest prices, great service! I had been here once before and was really happy with the service so when I needed more work done to my car I knew where to go. Unfortunately my car broke down the day before my appointment so it had to be towed. The next day on top of everything else I had planned on, they found out what was wrong and fixed it the same day within a very reasonable time frame and I wasable to take it home that day! So thankful for their efficiency!

I was having a bit of an issue with my Ford Explorer. It just wouldnt start. I knew that the battery was good, since Id replaced it recently, and also verified that the blower, wipers, headlamps were all working perfectly. But when I turned the key, it just didnt start. Witmer Automotive was totally awesome. They offered to tow it in and contacted me with an estimate (turns out the starter wasnt working). Minutes later, they called me to let me know the repairs were done. Awesome experience!

I was very happy with the service they gave. They handled everything very professionally, but they still spoke to me like I was a human. The only reason I am giving 4/5 and not 5/5 is simply because of the time it took. I can 100% let this pass though because they were down a tech at the time of writing this. It was just very inconvenient for me, and needing to barrow a car for longer then I said. They do have a higher rate if you provide your own parts like I did, but Brain was very transparent about it. I can fully understand this though because plenty of people will try to cheap out and not provide high quality parts. Over all though I would definitely bring my car to them again and I have already recommend a friend for their work. Whenever I do I am sure the service will again be outstanding.

I just had my car aligned here and it was a great experience. Customer service was awesome, everything that was being done to my car for the alignment was described to me and ways to improve things were even suggested.

They will rip you off and charge you 5x the amount of money then any other place. Also very unprofessional and rude employees. Then they tried to ask me to give them a 5 Star rating online. Not! I can see all the fake reviews.

Just had my Suburban in there for an exhaust leak at the manifold due to the bolts breaking off. Three other garages didnt want to take the job because of how much of a pain they can be. Witmers got me in and got it done when he said it would be done, did a great job, and the price was right. All my services will be done at Witmers now, and Im glad they came highly recommended.

I had taken my Nissan Armada in for inspection to get a checklist of what needed to be done. I knew the repairs that were needed were extensive, and already knew what needed to be done after my own visual inspection. The repairs that needed done were easily over a couple thousand. My SUV has almost 290k miles and is ready to be replaced. The dealer I received the vehicle from had been known for shoddy work/ethics, but i needed a vehicle. I took it to Bryan, his team. Within a day they found all that needed done! Even some subframing problems that the dealer never told me about!! After inspecting myself, I seen the sub framing problems that was mentioned within the estimate/work order. This man has exceeded my expectations and wont charge you an arm and a leg! Its hard to find mechanics in York that want nothing more than just your money. His team and himself actually do what mechanics are supposed to do as well as provide reliable and respectable service. Brian really came thru for me in a pinch. I reached out last minute to have a service vehicle repaired between snow storms. Not only did he tell me just to drop in but he got the parts and had it back on the road that night. Witmer Automotive was a pleasure to work with. I was shown exactly what was wrong, how much it would be and the customer service and turn around time was nothing less than amazing. We will be taking all our service trucks to him for inspection and repairs going forward. I can’t say enough good things about this shop. Have known Brian for over a year, since I moved to York, and have had a lot of work done on my previous Mini Cooper (transmission issue) and more recently just tire rotation/oil changes on my new Nissan. From my first to Witmer Automotive, I knew I was in good hands, and have never let anyone else perform any work on my car. Brian is COMPETENT and TRUSTWORTHY--there is no better combination in a mechanic! He is very calm, and listens well, is very knowledgeable, and is more than fair in his pricing. I am glad he is young, so that he is unlikely to retire (Haha)...because I dont plan on using another mechanic as long as I live here!

First I want to say I have no issues with work performed. My complaint is I was not made aware of labor rate differences for performing same work with my supplied parts vs. them supplying. Had ball joints and sway links installed. Found out at time of paying that this was the case and they would not honor original price quoted, very dissappointed they would not work things out at a big increase in labor rates.

When I picked up my car it was clean the seat and mirrors were in the same place I left them. No greasy fingerprints. No oil or garage smell. Amazingly this is the first time I have ever picked up my car after getting work done. It didnt smell like cigarette smoke. Just a pleasant experience all around.
