The owners are such kind, caring, thoughtful people. Have known them for a long time and have been going to Godfreys since I was a kid... first in their store along Main St in Dallastown & then in Loganville once the Main St store closed. Excellent meat products, always fresh. Homemade in house items like their smoked hot dogs, bologna in the cloth bag, sweet sticks in a variety of flavors, chicken salad - its all top notch & specialty items you cant get anywhere else! Delish! Go check em out! You wont be disappointed!

Entered store where customers were wearing masks but some employees were not (actually, wearing them but just hanging down). During a pandemic, would expect that a purveyor of fresh meat would require employees to properly wear masks for safety. So, they may have lost a loyal customer . . .

Have you tried to buy more than 20 lbs. of a certain cut of beef? This is the quality place to go. Prices are market paced. Local meats, this is not the pre-packaged grocery store, it is better with real butchers and product knowledge!

Shopped there for the first time (9/11/19) and I am very impressed with the high quality of all of their meat (beef, pork, chicken). They cure their own bacon and all pork is from their own pigs. Great source for Gulf shrimp (various sizes) and wild caught salmon. Also, local eggs and milk from a local dairy.The staff is very knowledgeable about all of their products and services. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The shop is immaculately clean. They have a stall at the Eastern Market every Friday; however, I prefer to go to their shop rather than the market because of the unhurried, casual atmosphere there. Highly recommend!

Delicious selection of meats, never disappointing. Prices are moderate (and a little high on some things) but that is to be expected with the quality of product they are providing. Staff are attentive and friendly for the most part, overall a great place to go.

The beef quality is top notch, the chicken bulk prices are on point. All of the smoked and processed meat is done very well. One of the secrets is the super sharp Canadian cheese, it’s a true treat for sharp cheddar lovers.Bottom line, it’s the best local butcher shop.

Sadly it takes a pandemic to make you realized how blessed you are to have an establishment like Godfreys right down the road from you. They were continually stocked and staffed during the crisis and continue to operate efficiently throughout. It was very comforting to know that our family could rely on them. Case is always full with a great selection of meats. Beef....delicious flat iron steaks.....pork chops and ham slices...cuts are trimmed to perfection....cuts of chicken.....salads....a great selection of cheese. People are always polite and helpful. Dont buy frozen ground beef. It weighs under 1 pound but they overcharge you on the price. The price says one thing in the frozen section but overcharge at the register. The lady also over charge on shrimp stir fry. They dont know their own prices. Never going back again.

Best steak Ive EVER had! I think it was a bone in Delmonico, suggested to me by one of the employees. Glad I bought it. Huge cut, perfect marbling, and man was it flavorful! Great family run shop. Love my hometown!!! Oh and I almost forgot, the meat and cheese snack sticks are awesome! They never last more than two days in the fridge. The boys eat them up!

Every kind of meat Ive bought there has been great. The ground beef makes exceptional burgers. Bacon is great...I cant stand to buy the grocery store stuff anymore. Ribs, steaks...all very good. Prices and service are good.

I feed my dog a raw diet. Dogfood made in a factory, has only been around for about 100years. My grandmother said when she was a child, dog food didnt even exist. (It probably did...but hadnt caught on, or wasnt as widely available at that time) Dogs have been around for THOUSANDS of years.....and what did they eat!? Not a processed brown thing called kibble, that is devoid of nutrition itself, and has to have fats sprayed onto it, to make it palatable to the dogs....and vitamins added because of the over processing, and lack of nutritional value in and of itself. Yes, there are dog foods out there that are of higher quality, but its still a bag of stuff you have no idea what it is. It still produces itself as Gross junk on the ground after the dogs body processes it. I have a working dog kennel. Belgian malinois and German shepherds. I can not have a property full of stinky nasty dog waste. Well THANK YOU GODFREYS!!! Their dog food, is AMAZING! I have been using it for a year. I even feed it to my puppies, as they wean off mommas milk. I have told my clients where to get their raw dogfood- Godfreys!!! They go here too! There are ZERO I mean ZERO stinky gross piles of dog waste. Why!? Because their bodies utilize almost all of the food they are ingesting. Godfreys dog food is about the best dog food I have come across (besides when we hunt and the dogs get everything we dont eat, as we process our deer etc...ourselves) Godfreys is not only a great place for dogfood, but they have amazing beef jerky, lunch meat style ham, cheeses, sausage...I mean, you name it, theyve got it, and it is so good!!!We specifically go there to get things. It isnt on our way home from somewhere, we dont pass by it, ever.....we have to make a trip, a bit of a hike, to get there...but its so worth it! They even have massive smoked dog treat bones. I mean, we are talking something that smells soo good, I want to eat it, but it keeps the alligator dog jaws we have here occupied and satisfied when they arent working etc. I really can not say enough about their raw dog food. Its bloody, it has an excellent amount of protein, fat, muscle, organ etc.....and my dogs look AMAZING. my vet actually has said to me Whatever you are doing, keep doing it, because their teeth are healthy, their bodies are healthy, your dogs are in fantastic shape, if I may, what ARE you doing? I will never forget that. The vet asked ME what I was doing!!!!! I said working them, feeding them a raw diet from my kind-of-local butcher shop-Godfrey bros, and giving them chicken leg quarters, raw-bone and all, and most of all...loving them! I never have to take my dogs in for anything other than health checks, and they always get A++++. MOSTLY, this is genetics, how they are raised, etc but the other half of it, is diet. You can be an Olympic athlete, from a long line of athletes, that eat fastfood everyday, and will have dandruff, oily skin, ear infections, gain weight etc... because of diet. So does plays a vital role. VITAL!!!! Love yourself, and love your dog!!!Well, you would be loving yourself buying foods from there. My dogs are so obsessed. They go nuts when they see me go to the deep freezer to pull out a frozen block of Godfreys dogfood To thaw out. They sniff the air, they whine, they go crazy when they know its feeding time. Its SOOO good, I dont even have to feed them much. If I fed bagged or canned dogfood, I would have to feed 3xs as much. Because again, their bodies do not utilize most of it, and it winds up being an expensive ground deposit. Ugh!!!Well, I cant say enough!!! Sooo....Dont even think about it....just do it!!! You wont be disappointed, no matter what you get!!!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

We love their home made bologna and beef sticks. They also have fantastic steaks and many different cuts of beef and pork. Highly recommended over a common grocery store when looking for fresh cuts of meat.

The 25-year-old heavyset girl and a 65-year-old lady employee are both very very very racist!!!!! Only the Latino man in the back is extremely pleasant to me each and every time I come in but Im sure hes racially discriminated against as well, treated like a servant picking cotton on the farm instead of a good employee that he seems to be. What the female employee owner is extremely friendly and everybody starts to shape up as soon as she walks in, my prayers are hoping that she sees this and really changes the Racially toxic atmosphere. Im African American Maryland state trooper who loves this place and stops by at least once a month. Im hoping this review will get to the owners and make some positive changes moving forward to 2017, stop the discrimination towards black people its unnecessary I know its Pennsylvania but really dont discriminate and black people its unnecessary. Stop giving Black people dirty looks when they walk in the door, completely ignoring them my money is green just like everyone else that comes in. I love that my wife can pre-order for our Easter dinner a delicious ham thats fresh and delicious what a shame I wont be doing it next year if things dont change there!!!

My go to shop for steaks, sausage, and chops. And these folks make a delicious sausage griller! These are about 4oz. of sausage with pepper jack cheese and spices. They should be grilled for best taste results, but in a pinch can be microwaved. Totally beats any Bratz out there! Try one! You wont be disappointed and youll want to go get more!

Love their homemade smoked hotdogs, sweet sticks, and their sausage grillers (they have cheddar and pepper jack cheese in!) Deli meats are best prices around and sliced fresh when you order. Meats are no more fresh than the grocery store, but prices are greater. $22 for a small Perdue chicken that would be less than $10 at the grocery store. One or two friendly staff, others not so much.
