I bought sliders for my volleyball team from here this week. I called and spoke to someone about the options and pricing. The lady I worked with was friendly and professional. I arrived earlier than planned and they were still ready for me and neatly packaged. Although it wouldn’t fit in my cooler so I redid the them, I still appreciated the quality and attention to detail and care. My team devoured the sliders. They we delicious and probably healthier than fast food. We will be ordering again. In a time when most places are short staffed this deli department is providing excellent customer service anyway. I called the Walmart in East York first and did not have the same experience. I drove the extra 30min to come this Walmart instead. The only pic I have is from after I had jostled them in my car. But I will share anyway. Thank you deli staff from a happy coach and team.
This evening, I went to Walmart to purchase a power inverter. The price online was $34.52; however, in store it was $89 (please note, it states we could pick up online purchases in store TODAY)When we went to customer service to inquire on purchasing it online and being able to retrieve it at that moment. Amanda stated that it has to go through some online process and they would not be able to honor the price.Tisha (Lead) came over interjected herself into the conversation where Amanda was more than capable of handling. She begin to speak over Amanda and as she walked away stated well if you order it online it is going to charge you the $89.We then ordered the item online for $34.52 plus tax to be picked up the next day.I proceeded to ask Amanda what would be the process for the online purchasing and picking it up. As Amanda begin to attempt to answer my questions, Tisha walks over and speaks over Amanda. My immediate statement to her was I am speaking with Amanda that is more than capable of answering my questions. And at the point that she can not, she can ask you to assist her. Tisha became argumentative about me telling her that she was rude. Amanda was taking care of our need politely and appropriately but Tisha inserting herself into the equation as if she was an authoritative figure in the manner. Her disposition is not welcoming and very unprofessional.
I use online order and pick up often. Most times I have no issues, they are usually prompt. There have been times when Ive had to wait 2+ hours, but thats rare. Tonight was a different story. I went at 7 for a 7-8 pm pickup. They were busy since its a Saturday so I expected to be there a while. I was there an hour and a half and hadnt seen anyone for a while, had been calling in but no answer. I finally walked into the store and talked to a manager and they said the pickup was closed and everyone had gone home. I know they were busy, I dont even expect the associates to work longer than their shift but at least tell those of us who were still waiting that youre closing for the night. If I hadnt asked, I would have been waiting who knows how long just to find out Im not getting my order.
Come on guys. Lets be real. Walmart employees dont get paid enough, the products are okay and no one wants to go unless they have to. Simple.
Don’t order anything that requires delivery from a store at this location. Terrible customer service, offered a refund for product but wouldn’t reorder the product for us (which makes 0 sense). The un-named management in that place is a g’damn disgrace and all should be removed from their positions because of how LAZY their solutions are. I get it I’m a lonely peon but when enough of us have issues then the fault lands on the Management team and the logistics they have in place is 100% TERRIBLE. I’ve worked retail most of my life and this isn’t how it’s done folks. That’s just the currently problem. Not to mention the constant rotten food that’s always out. The aged meats I’ve seen sitting out. Fecal matter sitting clear as day in multiple aisles and when reported I get a sigh and rolled eyes by some over privileged management crew who is just making her hours.STAY AWAY.
It’s a relief for us to find a Walmart near us when camping. We know we can usually find everything we need to restock our supplies. Not sure about this particular Walmart, but we also appreciate it when they allow us to boondock overnight in their parking lot. I wish people would be respectful and realize what a kind courtesy that is.
Good store to buy from. Has both cashier and DIY registers.
Lotus is the best! She was super helpful and knew the store layout very well. She helped 3 customers before me incredibly fast and helped me find exactly what I needed. Super fast and effective service, thanks again Lotus!
No offence to the hard working employees. I just really dont like the big corporate Giants. That buy 90% of their merchandise from China. You might as well call themselves the great wall of China mart. Im quilty I cant find it or they have what I want I cant find it any lower price. But I think of the 80 year old lady working 90 hours a week to live in poverty.
This Walmart has a fairly good selection of stuff and isnt too big to walk around. No complaints about the establishment.
One short of 5 stars because. When you have a shopping cart full of items there should be at least 1 person to check you out. Only cashier at the 10 items or less tobacco check out. Insane line during rush hours. But well kept store
Ummm its Walmart. In East York PA. If you need a more detailed information on this. Sit in the parking lot and watch your surroundings for about 10-15 mins and all of your questions should be answered.Good luck 🤞😃
No management, lines all over and inexperienced cashiers working and no support. Go here weekly and it is the same every Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Yes, understand that it draws a lot of people, but hire for that. Walmart isn’t going out of business for having 2-3 extra workers on site. Watched as cashier in our lane called for Team Lead/Supervisor, whatever they are called and the look alone showed she didn’t want to help. Embarrassing to think all the hard work the cashiers do and have no support.
This is one of the largest Wal-Mart store I have shopped in. This store has an amazingly friendly & very helpful staff. This was my first visit to this location of Walmart, but for sure not my last. The selections differ from other locations & I will recommend others come & see for themselves.
West York location. Some shelves were sparse. Good craft/fabric section.
Time after time I see how Walmart disrespects their customers by forcing them to wait in long lines to give their hard earned money to Walmart. NEVER AGAIN!!! I had a full cart of items I wanted to purchase today. Went to the east side self checkout area, but there were at least 25 people standing in line. So I went to the self checkout area on the west side of the store. Yup, same story... at least 25 people standing in a long line just waiting to give Walmart their money. So I abandoned my cart, got into my car and drove across the street to Target. When I had my cary loaded with merchandise, I was able to go to a cashier at a check out stand and only had to wait behind one other customer. What a great shopping experience. You lose Walmart, as your lack of respect and customer service has now made me a customer of Target.
Could use more open check out lanes. But thats to be expected at any Wal-Mart. Other than that it was good.
They seemed more organized two lines were open at check out.
Never enough staff on, but thats unsurprising given the way they treat their staff members. Almost as if management completely forgot they wouldnt have a store without those very important cashiers, stockers, etc. Ive also had horrible luck with wait times every time I visit their pharmacy.
This location is frequently out of stock on a lot of items every weekend, and especially during the holiday season (weekdays/weekends). For serving a large area, it’s not surprising. There are typically 1-2 check-outs open at any given time. Lines that do have cashiers, if you’re fortunate enough to find one, move slowly - figure on an extra 20-30 minutes longer than your transaction just to get through check-out. Cashiers constantly have to leave their register to assist other cashiers. Even with the self check-out lines, don’t plan on a quick trip.In the single time I tried a pick-up order (just to see if the process was worth it), they ignored health/beauty items which I verified were definitely in-stock. Defeated the purpose of pick-up, since I had to go in the store to get the items myself. They also substituted items when I chose not to in the app. In the case of the substitution, there was no hassle with returns though.
I went to Walmart to buy a pregnancy test and employees are super kind and pretty fast.
Not enough electric chairs for all the handicap spots you offer Ive had this same problem at the west and east York centers!!! Need many more electric chairs, especially since theres only ever 2 cashiers how am I supposed to ride my knee scooter push a cart and bag my own groceries. This is absolutely ludicrous seeing how much money your chain makes you could provide adequate carts to at least equal half your handicap parking spots!! No I wont order online. Im a shop in person type. From now on Ill be going to target. Even though it cost more
Great service though out the store, Pharmacy was outstanding. My drugs were at a different store and the pharmacist took time out of his lunch break to transfer them in., Never had that at Walmart. Simply make me feel like family.
Walmart has everything you could pretty much need as far as food and clothes to medication. When I go they have plenty to choose from and the employees are very helpful. I always choose Walmart over any other place to shop.
I got an eye exam and ordered new glasses. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. I also bought a couple new shirts. Check out was fast. 100%
Great to buy supplies and to park semi truck. As long as other drivers respect their property.
Awesome staff. Beyond helpful and friendly. Im a Pepsi drinker. Even the Coke distributor helped me get distilled water down.
Not a bad Walmart but unless you want to work for your items that you already have to pay for go elsewhere only 1 line open the rest were all self check out the line stretches almost to the middle of the store. The poor check out women looked like she was exhausted!
Like walmart better if more people ware mask But It Takes I have to ware one hard to breathe
Pretty decent, but the art supply section was questionably stocked (when it comes to regular art supplies, kids art supplies were well stocked). Also, I noticed it looked slightly more run down than any other Walmart Ive been to. Something felt extremely off for some reason, and I saw some shady people while I was there. An example of this would be two teens possibly laughing at me.
Doesnt have much on the shelves. I dont like the self checkout. Some products dont have any brand choices.whole sections are empty.
Came in to grab a few items, grabbed some pineapples that were marked as $1.50, upon scanning them at self check out they rang up as $1.75 so we asked they young lady working back there Venezia about it the price difference between scanning and the advertised price...from there on she did nothing but mouth off and give an attitude...it was a simple question and to give such a reaction to an employee is not only highly unprofessional but absolutely appalling! Spoke with a supervisor who did apologize for venesias behavior but said nothing to this employee while there. This girl needs fired plane and simple.
This store could use some pointers from other Walmarts in the region on how to keep things clean, organized and stocked. The frozen section is in disrepair.
Its Walmart, they have everything I wanted this trip. Well everything except GRUYERE CHEESE. However, for almost anything else, I highly recommend this establishment. Nick the cashier in training (Im guessing), and Ashley, his trainer (again Im guessing) were GREAT, personable, and make a great team!!! Those 2 were the BEST part of my visit. I hope Walmart has an employee recognition award program...because THOSE 2 DESERVE one!!!!
What can I say, its Walmart. I have what you need and get out as soon as you can. It could have been a few more registers open cuz Im not a self-checkout person!
Every time I go I always have an issue finding anyone to help me, as a matter of fact unless I. In electronics I can never find someone to help me. and if I need to go through any other line other then the self checkout there are hardly any open and the lines are crazy long. I have walked out of walmart before because of it. And I never go in there unless its my last resort.
Walmart sold me a used tv that someone returned as faulty as a new TV. Turned it on and it already had someones Netflix account logged on. The TV randomly glitches out and stops working. Ive called numerous times and havent gotten anything back, but now have late fees for a device I cant use nor get rectified. Worst customer service. If I owned a store and did this Id be charged for theft by deception just under the pretense I lied about the TV being brand new and sold it as such. HORRIBLE!!
Easy returning items. Parking tricky.
There needs to be more registers open....other then that....good job..
I hope all Walmart stores close up. This of self checkout is ok if the registers work. 7 different registers down with problems at 1 time. I will find another store for now on
Unbelievable no cashiers, only stupid self service kiosks. NEVER shopping here again. Not to mention very dirty!!!!
Tired of going to this place. We dont do self checkouts and they only have 1 or maybe 2 cashiers on and you have to wait in line for ever.
Self checkout register No Employee should be standing over top of a customer as if your stealing things.Thats why you have cameras at the register. We make 10 times the salary then your corporate employee make.So Stop being Rude to your Customers. You check the receipt at the door. This is a sample of a lawsuit waiting to happen.
The last couple weeks I go in to Walmart n would like to buy some totes but there are no prices on them n it takes too long to find someone willing to help you. What is the idea?
Very clean never have a problem find anything there
Card only dont waste your time self checkout lined up will shop elsewhere.
Yesterday afternoon not a single register was open except for self check out to day I came here to get a pickup order they emailed at 1:30 saying the order was ready, I arrived at 1:45. Its almost 3:00 and Im havent got my order yet
Easy finds on bookbags n school supplies among various other things and food
Cant go wrong at walmart! You go in for 1 thing and leave with 10 things. Good ol walmart!
This is the typical Walmart. They have a auto center for tire battery and lube no major auto work. It is usually disorganized and poorly stocked. Employees are typically rude and unhelpful. The east York location is much better than this location.
Not my favorite Walmart. Hardly no one on register. ( Like 15 lanes maybe 3 people) both self checkout areas moved ok but long line. Gotta have more people on register especially for seniors etc just a avg visit compared to other Walmarts
Not enough workers. Self checkout are long almost touching on each other’s end. Very poorly staffed
Dirty, disorganized, shelves rarely stocked, never enough checkouts open, all but a few self-checkouts are available. Seven to eight carts deep in the checkout lanes that are open. Rarely will you find an employee that can help a customer and when you do find an employee they will act as if they cant be bothered. A customer has to hunt down an employee to unlock the cases to get a pack of razors. The aisles are always blocked with skids of boxes that contain merchandise that needs to be stocked. The highest shelves will be stocked with products that are not on the shelves that customers can reach. One has to climb to the top shelf to get what they need. Of course, no one is around to help. The Walmart Super Center 1000 Town Center Drive in West York is typically referred to as the ghetto Walmart.
Very well organized a lot of merchandise and very clean
Got three tirers changed they are working very quickly
Never, never have enough lanes open. I dont understand how a big store like this can have maybe 10 self-serve small lanes and only two cashier lanes open. It makes absolutely no sense, management needs to plan things out a little better.
The cashier was Awesome! there was more than 1 cashier available but 4 out of 12 items on my list were not in stock😒bummer! Its Walmart I thought i would be able to get everything@once but had to go to Target for printer ink, etc.
It was pretty busy. But they had all the self check out open which for me is kinda sad. They had prob 10 to 15 cashier check out spot with no one running them it a shame that we are doing there jobs for them an not getting discount.
Store is cramped, shelves are empty. Check out lines very long.
Never has anything in stock. Place is always a mess. No one is ever helpful. Dont waste your time.
Dirty and busy most of the time. No such thing as customer service.
Line control was really good tonight.. I was impressed.
Was a lot better 2or 3 years ago
Walmart no matter where I have been and go e shopping at Wal-Mart, I get annoyed, frustrated and I hate going there. Why? Maybe its the entitled people who frequent this store.. or the crazy check out lines, the long waits for someone to actually give you customer service in a department of the store.... ugh!I only go to Wal-Mart if there is no other option.
Just visiting the area. Ran Im to grab a few items and the store seemed pretty nice with a good varity of items.
This is my home shopping love it great price great employees do you like the neighborhood Family Place
The shelfs are not always full see a lot of empty shelfs
Shelves empty. Only 2 registers open with lines back through the store. Self check outs at personal care, lawn and garden side lined up back through the store. Grocery side was a 6 customer wait.
Good store. Fair prices
Awesome its a great store to shop...
No cashiers working the self checkout to the far right was down only one working. Stood in line for 30 minutes to check out then finally got to checkout and there were no bags.
I enjoyed having a cashier. They are the best.
We went there to get a fitbit charge 4 that was online for $99.99. They had one but the lady in electronics said they do NOT HONOR online prices in store. And if I wanted it for that price I had to buy on line and pick up in the store. How flipping dumb is that.
Had everything I needed and easy to find
Visited WalMart tonight. Was cutting it close with 10 minutes before closing time but was stopped at the door and refused entrance by someone with no vest no name tag and an incredibly unprofessional appearance claiming to be the manager in charge of the store by the name of Lance. Was only going in for on item from the healthcare section for my disabled wife. I was told that even though they were open for another 10 minutes that they dont let anyone in after 10:45 a full 15 minutes before the store closes. Lance actually stepped in front of me in a threatening manner and told me I better leave. Rest assured that Walmarts corporate offices will hear about this discrimination as well the Americans with Disabilities Act. Hope someone else is hiring Lance
I give it a two because thats how many registers were open! and that was not the first time, there have been times where they wont even take cash on 90% of registers
Always a love/hate relationship with this store. I love the prices and the fact that they do an excellent job keeping the necessities stocked, but hate that they never have registers open and are forced to wait in super long lines for self check out when you have a cart full of stuff.
Funny but traveling has made me realise that in a new to me area the FIRST thing I do is locate the closest Walmart, LOL. Not wanting to participate in the large weekend crowd that was obviously in Walmart I elected to go back Monday am. Came back to where I am staying and placed an order to be delivered. Thank you, Walmart, for giving me options. I am a disabled individual but do my best to NOT let that interfere with my life. Thank you Walmart for helping me stay true to that statement
Rate a 1. Only one register with cashier open. Long line snaking into aisle. Self checkouts do accept cash. Cards only. Shelves not stocked.
I hate going in walmart and this time was worse had to report the management to walmart corporate for obscenities to costumers.
There werent very many registers open and store look unorganized.
Just the parking lot alone was disgusting, trash everywhere. I was afraid to even go into the store.
Is a terrible leech corporation that is undercutting small business everywhere (except Vermont) in our country. They sell cheap versions of everything to undercut everyone elses prices. Anti-trust suits should be brought against them!
Lines to check out are always super long cause practically EVERYONE has to use self checkout.
I think that Walmart is one of the best places to get just about anything you might need at a fair price, thanks
Just completed our annual visit to remind ourselves why we dont shop here. One set of doors unlocked on one side of the store, one register open, employees standing in a huddle showing each other their phones. Save yourself a bad experience & go to Target, for a few dollars more it will be a much better experience.
Need more help for customers. Very friendly
There are never the right amount of workers to assist customers. I picked up pre-ordered items, and waited 30 minutes or more to receive my order. Only one worker was taking care of pickup orders, and there were 7 customers waiting in their cars. He definitely needed another coworker or 2 to help him.
I had a good experience, love walmart.
My favorite place of conveniency to shop for everything.
My visit to wal-mart was horrible. Lines that were open 1 at each end scan and go maybe 2 regular lines open. On a Sunday that is ridiculous. I think I will stop going. Need more registers open. Also noticed not very clean.
Their pizzas arent the best Ive ever had but are consistently good.
No cashiers...had to use self checkout which I dislike
Best auto parts department ever. Team works great.
Awesome customer service thanks for your free grocery delivery I love driving for spark!
This location is poorly managed. They funnel everyone through one exit with no signage the other exit is closed. There was woman sitting there playing on her phone with an attitude telling me I have to walk around to the other exit. I saw several patrons get irritated for the same reason. I suggested posting a sign so people dont walk to the exit after purchasing their items. She said I will tell my manager. It seems by the previous reviews this has been a problem that could have been resolved long ago. Again, poorly managed.
