New patients - be ready for an excessive number of calls from MyEyeDr, urging you to schedule and reminding you of upcoming appointments. They called three times in one day to confirm my appointment and when I asked the reason for so many contacts I was told its because I didnt call back to confirm my confirmation. What?Even more ridiculous, at 3am Sunday morning, I received a phone call to let me know that my new glasses were ready for pick up.I think its time to find a new eye doctor.

(Edit: Customer service was able to get me assistance here.)Pretty bad experience. Half a year after a $600 purchase, I still do not have functional glasses. My prescription in my lenses are wrong and I was told that they will not correct this but that I could purchase new lenses and frames instead. Yikes. And this was their second error. My first order arrived late, bent, and warped; apparently caused by a manufacturing error.

This location is pitiful. I chose a blue Oakley frame, they ordered pewter. When I told then I wanted the blue frame I was originally told to bring back the glasses and the would reorder. I explained customer service was apparently optional there and told them to order the frames and I would bring in the wrong ones when they had the right frame. almost a month goes by and I do not hear from the store. I call get a call back 2 days later saying the frame doesnt come in blue I know what I handed and picked out was blue. NEVER WILL I USE MY EYE DR AGAIN

First of all, I had a Great Experience. My eye Specialist, Dr. Kanha, was of course “excellent!Bonnie at the Desk, made me feel comfortable, and was very attentive. She was very professional, and I informative. But my eye glass and payment plan assistant,KENYETTA, excelled and proved to be a professional delight. Made me feel very welcome and proved to be a money saver by searching the right plan for me.Thank you all. 10 stars!!!!!!!!Mike Thompson

I went in on the day of my appointment and they told me that they needed proof that I had benefits. I gave her my ID number but apparently that wasnt enough. She said she needed to talk to someone so I look up the customer service number but she just kept saying the same stuff and never even called and then tells me I needed to decide if I was going to pay out of pocket or reschedule. Its just crazy to me because I told them what insurance I had when I scheduled the appointment and there didnt seem to be any issues. They called me the day before my appointment to say they didnt accept a certain insurance, it wasnt even the insurance I have so I thought nothing of it. So I ended up paying for an uber out there for no reason.

I’m not sure if weaver is expensive or if it is just the general industry. I was alittle over whelmed with prices. I’m changing my contact brand, and the trial I got didn’t work for me. The front desk lady Sara was very kind, and allowed me two different brands for more trials. I am grateful they are being helpful with that! The office is clean, they get you in fast!

A new patient, comprehensive eye exam for my teenage son lasted less than 15 minutes. When the exam was finished, a staff member walked my son out to the lobby. However, she never introduced herself or discussed the results of the exams with me, as the parent. I have been to eye exams with my son since he was 5 years old. I was very surprised and disappointed by the overall lack of professionalism we experienced at Weavers.

Cant say I know enough to rate the quality of services from a medical standpoint, but I take care of my mother and have taken her here for vision issues for years. No complaints other than I get frustrated when it seems like we are called back time and time again for additional tests ... sometimes it feels like we are regulars there!

Called to request my sons prescription. Was told, sure Ill email it soon. Get an email with HUGE letters stating its expired and an attached prescription sheet with a HUGE EXPIRED written across it. Replied and said it would have been nice to have been told this information over the phone instead of blindly getting this worthless paper sent to me. Would have been a good opportunity to schedule an appointment right? No response. Last time in the office, it took 20 minutes to order contacts. Was told I wasnt allowed to purchase a certain amount and thank god another office person corrected the girl who was vehemently debating it with me. Wish the better office staff was still working there.

I had a piece of metal embedded in my left eye. The Dr. Allen got it out quickly and painlessly. Very friendly staff! Thank you so much Dr. Allen!

My first time here was a few months ago, for a regular eye exam to update my prescription. The gorgeous young woman that did the actual exam was fantastic. She explained what each portion of the test was for, and answered my questions regarding my frequent headaches. When looking at lenses there was one woman that asked if I needed assistance, of which I declined, and then she went right on to assist another woman that wanted honest feedback. It was nice to see that the worker was able to respect my desire to look at the frames on my own, and yet could help the other woman on the opposite end of the spectrum. I never felt pressured to purchase anything, and that was so refreshing. NOW, today I called to simply get my prescription, PD, etc. (of which had been a terrible experience at a previous eye doctors of mine- they were furious that I was considering getting glasses online and not from them), but the woman was yet again, excellent, and was happy to email me the information. The employees here are truly great people, and I will continue to recommend others here.

I have been going to Weaver Eye since 2013 and never had an issue until my most recent eye exam in August 2019. Dr. Carolyn Allen was dismissive and condescending when I would ask questions during the exam. On top of that, when I went to order contacts I found out that she changed my brand of contact without notifying me, despite me having no complaints about my current brand. So, that was another headache I had to deal with. Debating on going back because of how horrible my experience with Dr. Allen has been.

The doctors service was good. But, unfriendly and rude staff and very poor service for getting eye glasses were really disappointing. This is the worst place ever. I definitely dont want to recommend this place.

A few weeks ago I came in having had ill fitting, poorly constructed, glasses from a previous eye doctor that I was unhappy with from day one, things had progressively gotten worse, to the point that they were falling off my face despite multiple adjustments. I put up with it for so long just to justify the price but after they fell off and a lens popped out, plus the color started changing on the black frames to a ghostly white, it was my final straw. The first thing I noticed about Weaver was their flexibility. From being able to take me after I visited the wrong location (the other, Dallastown, location proactively called the Eastern Blvd store, noticed that the store had someone come in a bit early, leaving a gap for me), to being patient as I tried on various frames, I really appreciated this. The facilities in both locations were modern and bright with comfortable seating and plenty of space to check out frames. The Dallastown location seemed to be in the midst of some improvements. If itll look similar to the Eastern Blvd store, theyre headed in the right direction.I also noticed and was pleased with how thorough the eye exam was - my previous eye place didnt do as many checks as I got here, and I was calmly explained an eye issue that had happened to me but healed. It put my mind at ease that they were so thorough, considering I have a family history of vision problems and legal blindness, the latter of which I thankfully do not have. The Optometrist was patient as I asked to flip between the various 1s and 2s during the exam - something the last eye doctor I had wasnt. :/The receptionist did offer 2 additional screenings that werent covered by my particular insurance, and I did take them up on one (this isnt factored into my thoroughness opinion above, since I did opt into this extra screening) - the pricing was very reasonable, maybe 30 bucks?? And I figured that it was worth it since I hadnt been at the eye doctor for a while. After the exam I was brought back to the waiting area and was assisted by a very patient woman who dealt with my quirks and hangups about frames without issue. She explained my options and ensured that the frames I did choose fit my face correctly. The pickup process today was just as easy and I was stunned by the clarity of the lenses but I guess thats what happens when you upgrade from scratched terrible glasses to new ones.Even if I leave the York area, I will make the drive to Weaver in 2 years for another pair of glasses. The experience was that good.

Ive seen many eye doctors and have been to many different offices, so I can definitely say that this was the best one Ive ever visited. The staff was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable, as well as pleasant and friendly.Dr. Rebecca Hartman was amazing. Not only did she give me a thorough and comprehensive exam, she also took the time to talk with me about the fears I had about macular degeneration, an eye disease that runs in my family. She went over my eye images with me to show that my macula was currently completely healthy, and worked with me to develop a plan to lower my risk of developing the disease later in life.My appointment was late in the day, due to my work schedule, so there wasnt enough time to do my contact lens teaching session, since these will be my first ever contacts, thanks to recent advancements technology. When I got to Weaver Eye the next day, they had my rare contacts in stock, so I got to try both monthly and daily, and got some to try for two weeks. Ill be going back soon for my final consult, but I feel fine returning to such a nice place. Finally, when I got home from each visit, I was able to go over everything that was checked or discussed by logging onto their online system which gives you instant access to your records. If youve had a bad experience with an optometrist in the past, I would highly recommend you give this office a chance, especially Dr. Hartman.
