This review is for the Town Center office in West York, PA. Recently went for my exam. Doctor was pleasant and I am very happy with the exam. I wear airlock frames and decided to have new lenses put in my frames. I had to sign a waiver that if the frames were lost or damaged, I would need to buy new frames at a 50% discount. Frames were returned to me with a damaged silicone cover on one of the arms. I asked for a replacement arm piece but was told I had to buy a new frame. (Yes, Airlock has replacement parts available as stated on their website). My frames cost $320 to replace, half price $160. Since I did not use my insurance $150 benefit for frames originally, I asked them to turn my half into insurance and I would be responsible for $10 out of pocket. Was told they cant do that which then put me head to head with the manager who immediately had an attitude and was very much so less than helpful or even willing to work to a solution. I left the office with no resolution. I found a phone number for patient relations on their website and called to explain the situation. I was informed that indeed I could use my insurance benefit. The specialist ordered new frames and they were sent to the Town Center office. When I was notified they were in, I was told to come in on a Tuesday or Friday when the manager would be available to put my lenses in the new frame. Once completed, I was informed there was a balance due. I figured $10 and was fine with that. ($160 which was half of the frame cost less my insurance benefit of $150) I was instead informed the balance was half of the frame cost. I told them that was incorrect, that I had contacted patient relations and was told insurance could be used to cover my cost of the frames since I had not used my benefit at the beginning of this eye doctor trip. The GM again refused and told me she just got off the phone with them and that is not what they said - she was lying. I stayed in the store and called patient relations. Of course the person I originally spoke to was no longer with the company, but the person I spoke to again confirmed what the original person told me and also double checked with her supervisor. By that time the GM had already come over to me (again with an attitude that I had gone above her). Since I had my phone on speaker, she did hear what what patient relations said. She STILL proceeded to be defiant to that rep but eventually did agree that she would turn the balance in to my insurance. I definitely will not be going back to this office, nor any of the others that she would be associated with or managing.

Update: customer service immediately reached out to me and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Not only did they fix the problem but they now have a life long customer. This is the kind of customer service every business should be doing.For years I bought my glasses back when myeyedr was USA optical. I always had a great experience with USA optical. Every pair of glasses I’ve ever bought I purchased insurance. When I went to buy my most recent pair of glasses from myeyedr, I made it very clear that I wanted the insurance for damages. Long story short when I got a scratch on my lenses and called to set up an appointment to get my lenses replaced. I was told I didn’t purchase the insurance plan. I spent hundreds of dollars on these glasses and they’re telling me I didn’t spend the $25 for the insurance. The lady who helped me with my purchase was new and inexperienced at her job. Shame on me for not double checking my receipt to make sure she entered in the insurance that I requested. I hope my eye doctor will see this review and try to remedy this error of theirs. Otherwise they just lost a family of five who all wear glasses.

I paid for a service and they are REFUSING the service after taking my money.Dont waste your time or money. They take forever, and never answer their phones. I paid extra for a protection plan, but my daughter has been taping her glasses for 2 months because they refuse to answer my calls and they are still proccessing

If I could give zero stars, I would. Here are the facts of my recent experience with Weaver Eye Associates/My Eye Doctor:A few weeks ago, I called the West York Office phone number (each office location has a different phone number - unbeknownst to me at the time, however, each phone number funnels you to a call center) to make an appointment for myself and my son. I made the appointments for 9:00 AM today, Sat. June 19. I had every reason to assume that the appointments I made were for the location I called. Additionally, no one asked me if I wanted to schedule at a particular location when I made the appointments.When my son and I arrived at the West York location early for our appointments this morning, the receptionist told us we did not have appointments for that location but for the East York location, instead (I live in Spring Grove and the East York location is twice the distance from my home). The receptionist called the East York location in front of me and supposedly had a conversation with someone confirming that the East York office would still see us this morning. She told us that if we went directly there, they would see us when we arrived. We drove directly to the East York office, arriving before 9:30.When we spoke to the receptionist at the East York office, he told us that because we were over 20 minutes late, they could not see us today. I told him about the conversation I listened to with the West York receptionist, and he told me they still could NOT see us today.After returning home, I called each of the four DIFFERENT phone numbers for the different office locations. Every number sends you to the call center. Clearly, when they make appointments, they just put you in an open slot without letting you know they are scheduling you in a location that is different from the one you called.My final thoughts: this is some of the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. This operation is clearly intended to just make appointments. I am currently researching new eye doctors in my area. I will never return to Weaver Eye Associates.

It was so nice walking in and immediately the lady asks how can I help I told her I need to get my glasses adjusted since white street My eye doctor says they cannot be adjusted she says of course we can do that within 5 minutes I was out of there. The white street my eye doctor is a complete joke they screw up my glasses broke my previous frames and then say they cant adjust my new ones to my face unbelievable.

I had an eye exam today. Everyone their was very friendly and helpful. They even went an extra mile to care enough about my finances red eye to fit him in right on the spot. We didnt ask they offered because they could tell he was having issues with it and he didnt have a doctor appointment till aug . We need more perfessionals like that in the world. I went to my eyedropper onFeb,,/23/2021 I did not carry my bank card because I did not think I need ed New Glasses Well I seen Dr Danielle who I liked the women that helped me with glasses told me to call in my payment the next day I been trying to call this place for a month leaving messages to pay for my glasses the women that showed me the glasses said it was the last pair they had so I told her they are the ones I wanted well today I finely got to talk to someone now they tell me I never ordered glasses I have the paper laying right in front of me I stilled owned $117.50 For FrameLenses an Noglare plus Warranty $25.00 extra what is wrong with this place they even sent to My Insurance FOR PART OF PAYMENT I HOPE THEY GET THIS RIGHT AND DON,T CHARGE MY insurance because they pay $200.00 For The Glasses.

This company had me waiting for my glasses for over a month now. I ordered safety glasses that i needed for work and they have not care i cant see without them. Every time i call they change the date my prescription glasses should arrive. They really not care they are performing a vital service and that people that needs glasses really needs them.

IF I could give no stars, I would. I have never been treated so badly at a Dr.s office before. We were not even greeted when we walked in, instead, an older lady, Sandy (I believe that was her name) began taking our temperatures and announcing them outloud in front of the other 8 or more patients there. HIPPA violation!! She pushed us off to the side of lady in front of us. She told us we had to take OFF our masks and put on one out of her box of masks....the SAME kind of mask we had on. She held hand sanitizer and told us to put our hands out. Masks were already covering mouth and nose and she told us we had to put them up under eyes. This place is INSANE!! We finally walked out for fear of how we would be treated by the rest of the staff. We have had numerous dentist, orthodontist and dr appointments during COVID and have experienced nothing remotely like this.Beware the Crazy lady!They lost 5 patients because of this and we will continue to tell family and friends of the experience.

The staff are courteous and helpful but $600.00 plus for one pair of glasses seemed high to me.After insurance it was about half but still. And then about 6 months later Im not sure what happened but I saw a crack in my one lens and called to se e how much to replace it. I was told $313.00, for one lens. It just seems very high to me,. I had to take money from utilities to pay for them in the first place, I sure cant afford over 300.00 for one lens to be replaced. I guess they cant control costs, but things you must have shouldnt be so expensive that you cant afford them and have to go without. **** As a follow up - they contacted me to schedule an appt. to use credit I have with them for a whole new set of glasses. Not what I wanted, I just wanted the lens replaced so I cancelled the appt. and asked for my credit back several times, once on the phone and twice by email. Havent heard from them.

The staff is extremely friendly when spoken to, however getting to talk to them is a chore in and of itself. I had my initial eye exam scheduled for when Covid-19 was ramping up, and they canceled all appointments. I completely understand the reasoning behind that, and quite frankly agree with their decision. After restrictions were lifted I made another appointment online, which at this point was just over a month ago. The optometrist was very friendly, and did a wonderful job, with the result being my first pair of glasses. I then spoke with the optician. The optician definitely upsold on a lot of things that Im sure I didnt need in hindsight, but Im sure they have metrics and/or commissions they have to meet. No fault there, I agreed to everything. After everything was said and done, and I payed for the glasses up front, they quoted me 2 weeks for the glasses to arrive. 2 weeks passed, with no word from anyone, so I tried calling. It took 3 times calling to speak with anyone, only to be told my glasses have not come in, and they would call with any updates. It has now been over a month, and every time I attempt to call them, which at this point has been several times a day almost daily, I keep getting the same voice-mail of nobody is available. So far Im out 400 bucks, and nothing to show for it aside from knowing I need glasses, and a dent in my bank account. I truly would rate the place 1 star, but their friendly staff in person is slightly redeeming. I would not recommend this place however.

March 3 I ordered new eye glass. Three months later I still do not have them. They told me two weeks ago the lens were not cut to the frames. No responsive and poor service. Blamed it on Covid but definitely not the case. Should have had my glasses before Covid. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. No way to treat there customers. I spent $103. and expect a refund.

The doctor was awesome.My prescription is correct.The check out staff was available and let me know they were available and they communicated with each other effectively to help me.Parking was difficult in the shopping center.They worked effectively with my insurance and they were very clear with what was extra charges and how my bill was being calculated.

They were very nice and gentle with me. There was a little bit of a wait but I got there early anyway so it was a pleasant experience. They gave me their honest opinion about the glasses, I have not gotten them back yet but that’s understandable seeing as glasses take a long time to manufacture and ship to the stores. They will be ready soon so I sure hope they let me see far away!

Friendly staff, excellent service. Was told Id receive my glasses in a week and got them in less than a week. I highly recommend this place. My only issue was that GPS took me to the middle of a parking lot and the location was around back but besides that great experience

MyEyeDr is not impressing me right now nor giving me reason to go back.My appointment was on May 29th, 2020. I called at the two week mark about my glasses and was told the lab had them but they had not shipped back yet and to give it another week.Next week goes by and no word.I call June 25th 2020 and was told my account was locked for some reason and I would recieve a call back by 1pm/2PM. Never was called.I call the morning of June 26th 2020 and was told theres no update on my order but she will call the lab and get back to me.She calls and left a voicemail saying I need to call back and come in to identify glasses they have there that are possibly mine. I call back and was able to identify them over the phone.They were NEVER sent to the lab at all and have been sitting there cause she didnt put them with my paperwork to ever be sent. So now Im told I have to wait at least another 2 weeks. Ive been using old glasses in the meantime and dealing with crazy headaches. To say Im annoyed is an understatement at this point but trying to be understanding with COVID19 being a big issue with thingsJuly 16th 2020 comes. 1 month and 3 weeks since my appt. I call to see whats going on. Theyre delayed because the lab sent my lenses cut incorrectly, so they had to be sent back and it will be at least another week. Im trying to be nice but I made it known Im not happy as the following week is 2 months since the appointment.July 24th 2020. Got a text on Jult 23rd 2020 my glasses have finally come in after 2 months since my appointment but due to COVID19 you have to make an appointment to come get them. I tried calling and had to leave a voicemail but was never called, so called again myself. I recieved no call back again and was prompted to leave a voicemail... again.July 25th 2020. I go to pick them up since I called again and was told theyre doing curbside and come on by.The lab AGAIN sent back just the lenses and not my frames.So now they have to send them back... again and the lab has to put my lenses in my frame. So its gonna be another 2-3 weeks AT LEAST.They let me pick out another $150 frame because she said it should not take this long and she is so sorry. Now key words are I was guaranteed I would get my glasses still and these were a freebie for them taking so long with so many problems.August 10th 2020. I call because I wanna know whats going on. The free pair I picked out July 25th has come in and being inspected and that I can come between 12pm-2pm to pick those up but that my actual pair, the frames are still at the lab. She said she doesnt know why because they were supposed to be sent back and that she will be calling them again.So picked up the free glasses. She has now pretty much admitted my original frames are lost. The lab says they dont have them but tracking says they should have them. She said to give her one more week but she honestly did not seem genuine in saying that as if they would be found.She hands me these free ones and the lenses dont have the blue light filter that I paid $100 for on my original ones. Nor do I believe these free ones have the high index lense that again my original ones i paid for. I didnt realize the high index at first (just happy to see properly again) but I did ask about the blue light filter because I paid good money for that. She said if in the next week they dont find the original ones, they will order lenses for me with the blue light filter, I would just bring them to have them change them quick and Id be good to go. Im not happy still at all cause Im not getting a free 2nd pair of glasses as she had acted oringally unless my old frames magically appear. Ive been SO understanding and nice I feel fully as if I am being taken advantage of. I always have to call them to get updates, they never call me- at most its call backs from me calling. Leave a vociemail, dont expect a call back.

I’ve had multiple bad experiences from this place.Wasn’t told that my down payment wasn’t enough to even have them ordered. I called and asked what happened with my glasses and they called me a liar about not being told I had to pay even more money to get the glasses. Called again later to add another insurance card and put my glasses through. Asked them if I could use both insurance cards. She says that the frame specialists will help me and call me back. Never got a call back. Called again today to get my money back. They tell me since it’s been so long (4 months) that the managers is going to have to call me back and approve it. Let’s see if they can manage that today :) I’m getting very tired of this.

Zero stars. I went here for my prescription safety glasses. The staff seemed nice enough. But I waited over a month before they could get my glasses right. The first 2 times the lenses came in they didnt even fit the frames causing further delay. And I would never get any calls at all when the lenses did come in, I had to call them every time to ask about the status of my glasses. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to a manager I was given a store credit towards whatever I wanted. I thought great Ill by sunglasses, I mean couldnt be as bad as the safety glasses right? WRONG! They as well took forever to come in and again I never got a call I had to continue to call them and inquire. Its been a while now and I have had time to use my glasses I purchased from here quite a bit and i can say they are purely cheap garbage. Undoubtedly the worst glasses I have ever owned. Save yourself time and money and find a different eye dr.

Had an appointment on June 21, suggested I get another pair of contacts, which seemed reasonable. Previous eye doctor was supposed to send my prescription of contact lens which now seems suspect. Was told I would get a call back. I called back on Aug 2, told they had to talk to Dr. and get back to me. Never called back. Called today and referred to another doctor due to my prescription. I wear gas perm lenses. Never lead to believe it was an issue on initial visit. Will not be back!

Scheduled two months in advance (Because that was the only next available spot) to only show up and wait 30 minutes. Why did I schedule two months in advance just to experience over booking or worse walk-ins get in front of me?!Its a get in get out place—so dont expect anything great. The initial exam was frustrating. I have a phobia of anything going near my eye. The Poof machine is always the hardest part for me. So being told to relax in a non-relaxing tone definitely made me anxious and made the machine operator frustrated as well.The eye Dr. herself was a better experience for me, but it was also the shortest.The last person I interacted with was the seller. He was a cool dude, but again definitely had the feeling of a Get in Get out vibe. There was up selling for things you dont really need. The anti-glare package initially put on my cart was for $80 and apparently theres a less expensive tier for half the price which will do the same effects.Overall, nothing special here. If you want a get in and get out place that comes with walk-ins, then this is the place for you. For me personally Ill be checking out other places.

Only gave them a star cause I had to wish it cou be a negative one star. The new people are rude and give you attitude when asking questions. Also apparently to have a warranty you have to purchase it even though they dont offer it at the time of picking glasses out. Called insurance company they told me there is a 1yr warranty so I dont know why they would lie and say there isnt one. But the real kicker is the lady broke my sons glasses more. We went for a screw and she broke the part the screw goes in so he cant even put the screw back in or any make shift thing. Before we went he had a paper clip in it holding it together now no place for it. They need to do better. We will be going somewhere else who communicates properly. It was never like this we have been going there for over 5 years sad to say York can never keep doing good

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff is professional, organized, helpful, and kind. My doctor (I believe her name was Rudisil?) was helpful and friendly. Tim helped me with checking out, and he was patient and thorough in explaining my options for ordering contacts. They also checked with my insurance before my appointment and called to let me know what was and was not covered.

This place is awesome. Dr. Renda was so happy and vibrant and full of life. She was extremely informative and knowledgeable about my eye condition.Tim was very helpful with choosing a set of frames. He too was courteous and helpful.The interior was very clean and the keurig coffee machine is a wonderful touch.The combined positives outweigh the only negative which was the receptionist with the facial piercing. She was a bit rude and had an attitude that screamed she’d rather be anywhere but here. There are small things she could have done, like warn me before she blasted me in the eye with a jet of air.Overall if I could give them six stars I would. I will be coming back for for sure. Thank you everyone!

Ive been going here for years. Great customer service, I like that they text you a reminder when your yearly exam is due. They also have a wonderful selection of glasses and contacts and they never rush you to choose. The prices are spot on, usually the colored contacts are cheaper online but this time their price was the same plus they offered a rebate.

They seem to always find a way to add extra costs and fees when getting an exam and glasses. Will not be returning. My husband had the same experience and issues as well. Then because I didn’t want the extras, the sales person, a woman, turned cold. It went from a pleasant smile to not even looking at me when she handed me the prescription paperwork. Just rude and unprofessional.

I will never go here again. The lady who took me back first was alittle rude. I loved the doctor though, he was very nice. He told me I needed bifocals which sucked but ubderstandable. When he gave the lady who was suppose to help me pick out glasses my prescription she made fun of me for needing bifocals. She then told me that I needed to look in the lower end of price because she doubted that I could afford anything else. The whole time trying o glasses she kept telling me how bad each pair of glasses looked on my face. Very rude!!! I literally just picked a random pair just to get out of there. When we were checking out, she was making fun of another employee working there, very unprofessional. She told me my glasses would take 7-10 business days to come in, well Im waiting on day 12 and still nothing. I will not recommended anybody to go here!

Called and made an appointment on February 27th. The appointment was for March 9th (today). Went in only to be told that it was scheduled for February 9th and was rudely told I was a no show. How can I make an appointment for a day that had already passed?!?! That shouldnt even be possible! The receptionist apologized but didnt actually seem sorry and acted like she didnt believe me. I have a text from the date the appointment was made to prove it. Horrible service.

My first initial visit was okay... the lady who took me back to do the eye poof test was super nice and the dr was very nice. It wasn’t until I was checking out glasses did I get a bad vibe. A lady approached me and said this is the less pricy section that your insurance will cover.. everything else you will have to add additional costs. I wouldn’t care that she said that but it just seemed very judgmental and she could’ve done without the “less pricy section” now what really angers me was the wait for the glasses. The lady who checked me out stated that it will be a 7-10 day wait and they will text AND call me, so I was super stoked about that well jokes on me... 2 and a half weeks later and I still don’t have my glasses. I called three times and every time theyd say they’re going to call back and never did. Finally on a Monday I call them to see if it’s ready and she said it’s going through the final process I will call you in an hour to let you know when they are ready.... three hours later I still didn’t receive a call so I called back again we’ll come to find out they are ready and sitting on the desk but the office just closed early so I will have to wait until the next business day...I will be checking out other eye doctors in the area, very disappointed

Ive been going to USA optical/my eyedr for about 15 years give or take. Three months ago i was told i needed to see a specialist in hershey, the will send the referral and i call and schedule. I gave it a couple days and called. Hershey stated they never recieved the referral and my eye dr would need to schedule the appt. Called my eye dr told them, they told me they had just sent the referral out that day. I waited a few days again. Called hershey to verify they recieved the referral. They did but returned it because no one from my eye dr called to schedule the appointment. I called my eye dr to tell them this and they told me they would make dr rudisill aware. Left it go for a month called back again and asked about the referral since i didnt hear anything . They stated they didnt call but will make the doctor aware. This went on several more times. It now has been three months and nothing. Im very disappointed.

Zero stars! I have never left a review for any business before but I feel the need to in this case. I have been going to USA optical for over 20 years and have never had any problems. Once they merged with My Eye Dr, it has been a nightmare! I ordered a pair of glasses in September 2018. They came in and I instantly could tell they werent correct. I was told that it may take time to get used to them. I left and wore them for a couple days and suffered the whole time. I went back and told them they were NOT right and that I wanted a different pair. I even changed frames thinking that frame was too big or something. The new glasses came in and I STILL felt like something wasnt quite right. I went back to the store and told them. I asked to have my pupil distance checked and the woman helping me was very rude and reluctantly measured the distance for me and stated, well it is off but not enough that it should matter too much.... and she sent me on my way. Now during this time I was having trouble wearing contacts also out of the blue so I had nothing to fall back on. I went back to store a day later and they finally rechecked my prescription to see what was going on. My prescription was WRONG as well as the measurement of my astigmatism! THIS is why my contacts were no longer working for me and my glasses made me feel like I was living in a carnival fun house! They ordered new lens for my glasses with the fixed Rx and measurements. They arrived and I went to have them put in. The lens no longer fit snuggly into the frame. They were loose and ready to pop out any chance they got. They also looked and sounded squeaky like a cheap dollar store pair of glasses! I told them something needed to be done about this because I paid good money for my glasses. They again reordered another pair of lens. This brings us to the beginning of January 2019. Waited 2 weeks for new lens. Got a call there was something wrong and it was going to be another week wait. At this point Im losing hope and beyond dissatisfied. I finally got to pick up my lens yesterday and didnt check them until I got home because I had my corrected contacts in and to my disbelief the lens are SCRATCHED in a perfect sunburst type circle right in the center of my vision! I have NEVER had this bad of an experience ANYWHERE before and it really sucks because most of the office staff is really great but there is absolutely no way I will be returning after this fiasco is finished with. I am going in to ask for a refund and Im going elsewhere from now on. Please save yourself the nightmare and go to a smaller local practice where quality is the main concern.

Worse ever. I have been a customer for 7 years and my whole has received glasses from this store and this year the new employees and the group that is in there now are liars. I purchased 2 pair of glasses and paid out of pocket over $800 and the Man who is a little short, and then told me I had 30 days if I am not happy with them I could bring them back. I am not happy the arms on the glasses are wiggly, a lot and I paid over $300 for these frame alone so I want new pair that DOES NOT WIGGLE because there are some that dont wiggle. Then the manager was so unprofessional in speaking to me when the staff repeatedly told me its okay if I am not happy I have 30 days to return them so I did not mind being indecisive because I would have the opportunity to return them. After I spent the $800 plus dollars now it is a whole new story.I am speaking to someone to file a civil suit because my money I work hard for and if I am lied to in order to get a person commission then I am stuck. Unfair economic practices

It took 2 months to get my safety glass. Long waiting time due to their bad choice of glass/frame suppliers. No call back even they promised couple of times. Never use their service again!!
