I was so pleasantly surprised to know that Mencheys carried guitar strings and changed strings too! The staff was helpful and made a very good suggestion since they were out of my favorite strings. Well, now, I have a new favorite type of strings!! #elixirlightpolyweb Thanks Mencheys!

My husband surprised me with a beautiful Yamaha Clavinova today! I am over the moon excited to have it our home—specifically in my “chick cave”! We have my husband’s acoustic piano, but I am so excited to have my own beautiful instrument to cherish!Thank you for the splendid service you provided my husband! I found your store, via a Google search, when looking for where to purchase sheet music, and am I ever glad I did! The selection of music is incredible, and if it isn’t in the store, it can be ordered! My husband wanted a more complex version of a Beethoven Sonata, for me, and it came in so fast—that was the first reason my husband came in, but I am glad he also got me a piano! Great music shop, had an old guitar restringed and was a pleasant experience. Staff was nice, repair was quick and very reasonably priced.

This is a terrible company. Even though it seems like a mom & pop shop it is terribly run. Most of the time it seems the employees just sit around and almost jump when a customer comes into the store, then they will slowly pay attention to them, it’s even slower if they’re glued to their phones. Upper management does not care about their employees. They decide everything with no explanation on the employees part and employees have no chance to explain or are in the dark as to what is going on. The beginner instruments are not good strong models, and they have nothing available for professional musicians. If you are a beginning player, I’d suggest somewhere else to go. If you are a professional musician do not go here. Period.

*Pricey repairs, issues with system*Sent and instrument out for an estimate. It was a pretty basic repair. We got the estimate within 4 days which a nice and fast. But the the price was way to high. They give you an automated call with1-888 number and extension and estimate number to call back and approve or decline, good luck remembering that without a pen on hand to write it down. Thankfully we had an email on file, they gave us the option to approve or decline via email. We declined, and waited for a call that the instrument was ready be picked up. Another week went by. My daughter missed her lesson. Got another automated call with the repair cost asking to approve or decline.Had to call, got a voicemail, took a bit to get a real person to talk to and finally deny the repair.After I got it back I did notice they re-glued some of the pads, but left many tool marks and scrapes on the instrument.And as far as an overhaul is concerned. I know my instrument is not in the greatest condition, but I only asked for an estimate to fix 1 cork and approx 3 pads. I want to see if my daughter actually like playing before I spend a ton of money on overhauling or buying an instrument. If my daughter decides to stick with the clarinet and we want to buy her a new one if definitely will not be from this shop.

This Menchey store has the best personnel. They will help you find anything youre interested in. If they dont have it, theyll get it. Theycan check the entire Menchey inventory and have it within a day. If not,theyll order it. They also download current material on great cover stock.

I came in for a violin case and an E string and low and behold they had both in stock! The employee very quickly was able to replace my string so that I could continue my day with running other errands.

I went to Menchey today to search for music that was difficult to find. The two young men who helped me were very kind and accommodating, going above and beyond what I ever expected. I give them both five stars in their customer service skills and am very grateful for the help they provided!

You can find what you want with the expertise there to guide you, and what they dont have they can get you. Am taking piano lessons and am very satisfied.

I recently entered the Menchey Music store in the Queensgate Shopping Center to look at a guitar I had been wanting for the last three years. I had gone in several times over the last nearly three years to see if it was still there, also watching the price. I have a guitar that I had purchased at another music store and couldnt justify buying another. Im married. The guitar was still there and I had finally saved enough and planned on selling my other one so I could get it. But the price was now well above what it was a year ago. It was a discontinued model and I guess a desired guitar because I could not find one like it anywhere. Color and so forth. I walked out to my car and sat a few minutes before going back in. I spoke to the saleswoman in charge and explained that I had wanted this guitar for nearly three years and had finally saved enough but the price was way above what it was last year on sale. I asked if they could give me a better price. She said she would need to talk to her supervisor and commented that it was a discontinued model I assume indicating that it would be a desired guitar. After waiting over the weekend she called me Monday and said that she would be able to offer the guitar to me at the sales price of a year ago. I basically asked her to repeat what she had said . She did and I said I would be down to get it. I was totally surprised and happy. I guessed they would offer me something off of the price but over one hundred dollars was extraordinarily generous and maybe compassionate since I am 72 years old. I am enjoying playing my new guitar thanks to a very nice lady and a good business. I would recommend this store to anyone and will purchase from them again. Im saving for a new amp.

Drumming selection is lacking, but the staff is friendly and ordered what I needed with 1 day turnaround.
