Sadly we werent impressed at all. Dusty, unkempt surroundings, the shaved ice place was out of common syrup flavors on a not busy Saturday, & the petting zoo was a joke. A litter of pigs/boars, some goats, chickens & 2 deer...all untouchable. No feed or vegetables to buy to offer the animals. $5 for an adult to walk through. Really? The trio playing music 🎶 was good. And the little handcrafted breadboard - charcuterie booth was lovely. The chocolate shop was clean but the 2 young ladies behind the counter were not very sure about the items for sale. We ordered a milkshake & it took the 2 of them just to scoop it out of the tin into the cup...and it only filled it halfway! They asked if that was okay, we were in a hurry by then so said yes, but they charged us full price for it. We will go back again in October in hopes of finding all the booths filled with different craft persons & the whole place spruced up & decorated for the season. If not... it will be our last time.
My family and I went last weekend for their 4th of July pie eating contest! Felt like we were on a movie set at a county fair, so cute and quaint! Axe throwing, petting zoo and wonderful food. Big things coming for Oak Tree Mountain so well continue to come back from Huntington Beach to support this family business and yall should too. It feels like going back in time and is a great escape from the crowds in Orange County/LA.
Outstanding time! We had a pre-wedding party for 65 people from 5:30 to 8:30 on Saturday (three hours past normal closing) and they provided drinks and dinner including pulled pork, fried chicken, and ribs plus coleslaw, mac and cheese, and corn bread. We used wrist bands to identify the guests and prepaid 2 drinks each (beer, seltzer & wine). They also arranged to extend the country bands time throughout our party and included axe throw, corn hole, and basketball toss. Precious was super helpful and stayed on top of our needs as plans and guest count shifted. The facility is constantly improving as they complete planned upgrades. All our guests had a wonderful time and we received many positive comments on the food quality and the axe throwing. I have to admit I was surprised by the competition that occurred as different groups tried their hand and everyone eventually gave it a shot!
I love this place so much to do with the whole family and they have a the best apple spot Apple Annie’s, if your a foodie or love sweets as much as I do you’ll be in paradise. The staff was very friendly and nice. They have a petting zoo and my niece absolutely had a blast. I they are bring more fun and new things for the kids and adults alike.
Love this place. I grew up coming here with my grandparents and still come up as much as I possibly can with my family. The food is great! The Apple pies are the best and now with all of the new renovations and new things on the property, it’s even better than before. Family friendly and so much to do. I encourage everyone to take a trip up to Oak Glen and check out the newly renovated Oak Tree Mountain!
They are re-imagining this multi-generational property into something I cant wait to visit again once its complete. I can tell already that they are doing an amazing job at providing the best for their guests. The only reason Im not giving them 5 stars is because their petting zoo looked very sad for the animals. I would love if they could provide a better living facility for their furry and feathery friends than what made me feel like I was walking into an under budgeted, state-run animal shelter.
I have been coming here since I was a kid and it is better than ever with the remodeling of the whole place. Couldnt recommend this place more! Amazing environment and the staff is so friendly.
Southbound did a 6 hour variety of live music. WOW! Pretty cool place with established businesses, and today, was a special festival with vendors selling their wares. We thought it was clean and family oriented. Things for all ages. Bring your wallet.
UNSANITARY WORK CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT! I use to work here in Apple Annie’s restaurant and bakery and boy oh boy, what a mess. From mice in our dry storage, to mold in our crust, Apple Annie’s is sure to get you sick eventually 🤮 park is poorly maintained and the management is terrible. They refuse to repair anything because they’re too cheap. Plumbing is a huge problem in the kitchen. The kitchen always has flys flying around in it and they don’t do any deep cleaning. Truly disgusting once you think of it. The poor animals in the petting zoo never have water and whoever said their area is cleaned every morning and evening is lying. Its never cleaned because everyone wants to argue about who has to clean it. They dont notice the food or water should be changed until a customer complains about it. STEP IT UP 😉😉 thats why you guys are gonna go out of business 👏
This place is so awesome and full of just pure positiveness. The food is outstanding at the barbecue area, those guys are super nice. The enchanted Forest has encouraged me to know do similar to my home office to think positive thoughts! Just love the place.
When I was a kid my dad used to take me and my 2 older siblings to oak tree mountain. I recently brought my lil bros/ and sisters to check out the old stomping grounds. This place was poppin way more than I remember as a kid. All of us were cutting up having a blast. Very nostalgic feelings brought me back to when I was a kid. I was told there was new management. Keep up the good work! Prices higher than I remember but what place isn’t. Inflation is crazy these days.. All in all great experience and will be back later this fall
A great place for a fun family day. There are some hills!
Oak Glen is a very nice very pretty little community in the mountains above Yucaipa and Beaumont, this area was badly damaged by fire last year by some folks who didn’t realize what they were doing was dangerous, definitely go up there and see this little community and spend some money trying to help them rebuild, spend local, buy local, shop local.
If I’m correctly reading, this place is open ;)?Didn’t know if it got burned in the fires months ago. Oooooo my this is great to know
Not the best time of year. Fall would be better. Not a lot to do except stroll around. Best for families with smaller kids as the zoo is geared toward children. The fire that burned through here last year takes away from some of the natural beauty.
Apple season is October-December and I hear it’s really hard to find parking during the season, but it’s also probably an entirely different experience. We visited in early February it was 49 degrees and not overly crowded.Apple Annie’s bakery is open as was the restaurant for dining, order with the hostess and seating is on the patio deck. There were 3 small gift shops and a candy shop where they sell some very delicious caramel apples. A petting zoo and ax throwing was all that was open as far as attractions go.Public restrooms out in the park were closed (we thought maybe covid?) outhouses are available on site and the restaurant restrooms are also an option.Oak Tree Mountain is a “Scenic Loop” make sure you stop at the other orchards and try some hot apple cider and warm cider donuts.
We just got our apple pie and enjoying a nice walk looking at some nice improvements. This is the place to enjoy life and your family.
Petting zoo and activities fun and family friendly. Pie at the main bakery is amazing. We ate at one shop. Had rubber hotdogs, watered down soda. The bill, $70. Not okay. If I am getting 4 hotdogs and 2 sodas how the hell can that be?! Unless you are eating in the actual restaurant and wait in line for a couple hour dont eat anywhere else while here
Always love coming here. Beautiful area. Lot of little country shops and diners. Unique homemade jams. jellies, butters etc. for sale. Apple picking and berry picking season are awesome. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Beautiful scenic drive. Call first as depending on seasons, some places may be closed.
The hot dog stand needs lots of help !!!! It should not take a half an hour to make a simple hot dog! Which is the ONLY thing they have on the menu! Please figure it out!! One persons takes orders, ones sticks to cooking and one helps both…. Everyone’s looks and acts like deer in head lights . It could have great potential but at this point so sad and disorganized!
Great day trip with activities for the family. We went during apple picking season and it was crowded. Popular place especially on the weekends.
Lots of fun. We stopped in to go to the petting zoo. There are several different activities for the kids, and adults, to do. The petting zoo was fun. All the animals were friendly and would eat food right out of your hand. There is a trampoline park for the kids to jump around on. Inflatable bounce and slides. Axe throwing. Trout pond. Duck pond.Be sure to stop in for some pies! Also a little trick. There is additional parking at the top of the property. It’s a dirt lot but it drops you at the top by the bathrooms and kids activities.
Fun and cute but apparently no petting at the petting zoo (during the week anyway)
Fall family fun. Crowded in September. For the most part, people are considerate and friendly.
Nice to visit with family but it is very packed, with limited parking.
Cant even get a beer, bbq stand not even open at least the band showed up! Candy shop has no cheese salami samples, dont sell hot sauce no more place has gone downhill😡😕😵😤
Really cute but I dont think the petting zoo animals are comfortable 😢 otherwise, its a fun fall activity for families and couples
Great country music on the weekends; lots of fun with the Axe Therapy and Apple Annies food is the best!!
What a wonderful experience up here on the mountain. Such kind loving folks. I am coming back for sure
Drove an hour and it was a waste. I really like to give a business the benefit of doubt when I read bad reviews. However, this place really earns the bad stars. The only thing good about it was the baby pigs and baby goats in the petting zoo. Fortunately, it was free for an hr while we were there. Apple Annies had a line so we figured we would get something to eat at the BBQ restaurant. #1 there was no smell of BBQ so Im not sure if its brought in but it doesnt seem they cook it there. #2 $15.00 for a pulled pork sandwich, Im good. #3 the candy shop was closed. #4 the little shopping they had was super small and over priced. After a short walk through(10min) we decided it was time to go home. 😕. Not a place I would recommend to anyone. Gave it 1 star because the pigs and baby goats were cute. 7/25/21
The hot dog place and bar is so cool and really good
Oak Tree Village is a true hidden gem. Only a little over an hour away from Los Angeles, we didnt have to get stuck in traffic going up the mountain to Big Bear.Perfect for families looking to just have some good old fun in the snow (not for ski sports). There was enough snow for a snowball fight, snowman or snow angels. The village is cute and definitely a throw back to simpler times. Unfortunately it was closed but I can see it be a fun day trip in the summer.
Amazing time! I worked with Precious to set up a birthday party for my daughter. She went above and beyond to create the perfect experience for every single person. We started at Apple Annie’s for lunch. The service was quick and super friendly. Lunch was delicious. We ended at Axe Therapy! Everyone had so much fun. We can’t wait to get back!
Nice atmosphere, fun for the kids. Food is excellent but pricey. Arrive early to get easy parking.
Nothing was really open. Live band was horrible. Wood carving folks were kind! I ended up getting something from them. Drove 4 hours for nothing much to do here.
Great people and amazing food, definitely recommend going here if you have a chance.
Overpriced apple pie. Overpriced beverages. Overcrowded parking lot. This could be a bucolic place but it is a commercialized destination.
No place has taken disasters like Oak Tree Mountain and still remained open. Their attitude never changed. Kind and positive.
Love the atmosphere here!! Wish there were more food options w/ sit down dining. BBQ place was awful, unless you like moldy bread and cold meat.
Oakglen. A town made out of an apple orchard, that carries its own magical feel when you arrive. Its known for its apples, and home made fruit desserts, and for keeping its rustic farm town covered in bright red and yellow fall leaves, the old farm equipment decorating this place, with so many photo opps.Sip hot cider outside on brisk winters day, listen to the country music surrounding you while you shop authentic Indian jewelery, amd leather goods. Be captivated by this cottage of a town while it wraps you with its charming people and livestock all around you. The petting zoo for the kids I very entertaining while the animals climb over one another for a bite of feed from their little hands. Fun pony rides make for big smiles too!Stop by Apple Annies for a home made treat, and buy some organic apple juice or cider to take home with you! Take a step outside your norm, and step into this little place that warms the heart.
A fun place for a family outing.
Always a fun place to visit! The kids love it! As well as us grandparents! We always get a Carmel apple to finish the day!
Lots of fun! Too much to see in one day so we definitely will have to go again! We were sad that the train wasnt running that weekend but maybe it was because it was so busy. I didnt see tracks so maybe it just drives around. Everything else was a great experience! Dont miss out on the pony ride for the kids. For everyone, dont miss the petting zoo...and make sure you save a food cup for the animals in the cages after you exit the petting zoo area! They definitely feel left out! Leave room in your tummy for all of the treats in the park!
A must to visit in Autumn

Great place to visit with the kids
My children luv the petting zoo
Loved it here..a good place to unwind.
Great way to spend the day with family and friends. So much to do, see and eat!!
Awesome place to visit. Great treats and food. Beautiful views
Love this place! Great food, attentive staff, and good family fun!
Been here twice and will be coming back. Kids love the Animal Park, main part of going there to feed the animals. Much fun, $6.00 a person.
Great place to go with the family
Sunday Oct 13 . Very crowded but lots of things to do, see and listen to. Great APPLE pie, dumpling, etc.
Had a great time there with my son. Narrow fairways with homes on both sides of several of the holes.
Had the best time having my grandsons picture taken with Santa. An added bonus was the pictures with frosty and Rudolph.
Really good food nice people great atmosphere and a great place to take the kids and good live music so go on up there on the weekends and have yourself some fun with that family
So happy to see our community coming together after a huge fire.
Love it .. the people are very pleasant year around..my family and I had the pleasure to meet the sheriff and took pictures with him sweet man.
Such a pleasant visit and lots of surprises for the little one. Want to visit regularly😃👍🏼
Its all gorgeous, but take a walk up the hill and find Twisted Oak BBQ (or drive around to one of the upper parking lots). Most excellent BBQ! Served by a wonderful crew. Thanks, guys!
Love being here. Nice place to be with family or friends. Fun!!
So nice peaceful quiet and beautiful nice place to take the kids for the petting zoo will definitely be going again
A very nice place to bring the family
Oak Tree Mountain is partially rebuilding due to the fire of 2020, but it is still a fun place to visit.
Beautiful place, great food and friendly people
Always a great place to visit. Atmosphere is what its really about. It a slower pace, vintage feal with modern access. Once a year at the very least i like to visit and get away.
Nice play good vibe
We live in Oak Glen and we love Oak Glen! Our grandkids love the village during Christmas or just to go to their many events. Apple season harvest is our traditional family event.
The best place for; fresh clean nature and quality family or couple time 💗💙
Great mountain experience without having to go too high up. More attractions and places to get food or treats would be great
Great place!
Awesome place to go great food
So many fun activities to participate in.
If youre looking into a weekend drive. Really recommend this place. Live music and a variety of food places and shopping for those authentic items.
Was pretty disappointed in the conditions the animals were living in. Had to fill up one of the smaller bowls in the pig/goat pen because some of the smaller animals couldn’t reach the big tub of water.
Love this place, been coming here for better than 50 years. Makes for a good one day trip, crafts, fun things to do, good food and best apple pie and ice cream around. Always get the cider as well
If you’re looking for variety this is the place to go. They have different shops offering anything from moccasins to Indian jewelry to alpaca fur clothing made in Peru. I recommend buying caramel from their candy store (it comes with wooden sticks) to hand dip your own caramel apples. Be aware that during apple season this is a very popular and busy location making it difficult to find parking. Recently they’ve been charging people $5 to park in the lot across the street for all day parking if you don’t want the hassle of finding parking along the road. There is parking in the back of the building that usually has a few spots available but is just overlooked.
