So I just showed up for a preorder on a game Ive been waiting forever for (death stranding) and called yesterday to know when I could pick up the game. Went in paid it off yesterday, was told they werent giving out copies of the game until 9pm. Had my girlfriend call to assure that was the time just to better understand since Ive been excited for a while for this game. I show up at exactly 9pm... the gates where closed and the door was locked and I was ignored. Im more than upset Im furious. I call the other store and they are there then tell me since I paid it off at the other store I cannot pick up a copy at there store. I will be at the store tomorrow to tell my full story, and coming from a huge gamer, who has several gaming systems and buys something everytime enter that store, I find this totally unacceptable, and will probably never use this store again or gamestop again. I mostly was holding on to the business because of the library of hard copy games I like to collect and the human element to have conversations with people about games but then again gamestop isnt the only way to get games and for an employee to close shop on a preorder is unacceptable, ask any true gamer. How would that employee feel if they were in my shoes.

Great group of helpful employees. They are very diligent about informing you about pre-orders, and are just a general wealth of gaming knowledge.

This place is packed with a ton of stuff from obviously video games and systems to the collectibles and random odds and ends of geek fandom. It does come off a little cluttered in areas but just trying to shove so much stuff in to a little store will cause that. Worth checking out if you are willing to look around.
